Lauren Cochrane was just 29 when she found out she had breast cancerโฆ
โI was in the middle of sorting out the seating plan for my wedding when the reminder popped up: I was due for a pap smear and breast checkโjust one more thing to fit in, I groaned. Wasnโt life with a major event coming up in two months hectic enough? I never guessed that just a week later Iโd be sitting at my desk, listening to my GP on the other end of the phone tell me that I had cancer in my left breast. I felt devastated. I was only 29, I was about to marry the man of my dreams, become a stepmum to his gorgeous daughter and hopefully give her a sibling soonโฆ how on earth was cancer going to fit into that? I never thought it would happen to me. I struggled to come to terms with the news, and the sudden change from planning a wedding to planning my survival. But in a way the wedding was the best thing: we kept busy, and we decided we would just do what needed to be doneโincluding surgery just weeks before the wedding.
When I got the news that the cancer hadnโt spread to the lymph nodes, I was elated; I thought I was in the clearโthank goodness, because we were trying for a baby. It took a while, but finally I got that thin blue line. I was so excited that when I got the new the cancer was back, it took a while to sink in. There I was, 11 weeks pregnant and getting ready to tell everyone we were expecting, and my doctor was advising me to terminate the pregnancy to make the treatment options better. I couldnโt do it. Getting pregnant hadnโt come easily, and my focus was on the babyโฆ while everyone else was thinking about treatment for me. I ended up having a mastectomy, but declined chemo and decided on radiation after the baby was born. Iโm not going to lieโthere were a lot of tears. I found it so hard to lose a breast, particularly when my body was already going through so many changes with pregnancy. I didnโt feel womanly. But I decided not to let it get me down. I would do what I had to and we would take it all as it came. After all, there was nothing we could do to change it, we just had to keep moving forward.
Holding my daughter was the most magical feeling ever. It made everything worth it.
Two weeks after Violet was born, I started radiation โ every day for 26 days. I was exhaustedโbut that could have been something to do with my newborn, too. I was able to breastfeed from my remaining breast, and while I couldnโt feed directly after the radiation I expressed before treatment to make up for it. My mum came and stayed, friends rallied around to help and my husband did everything possible. I was worried how Iโd handle new motherhood with cancer treatment, but in the end I enjoyed it allโwe, of course, had our normal ups and down like all parents. When I was able to have the other breast removed and start the reconstruction, it felt like I was really moving onโit was very liberating to have no breasts after feeling so lopsided for so long.
Today Iโm four years into five years of hormone therapyโa daily tablet and a monthly injection. Iโd like to think that cancer has changed me in a good way. Itโs certainly made me more appreciative of the small things. I try to share my story with as many people as I can to try and raise awareness as much as I canโespecially young women. Thatโs why the Pink Ribbon Breakfasts are so important to me. I want everyone to know that thereโs a riskโbut thereโs also plenty of hope, too.

Blake Lively just stepped out in a sportswear-inspired ensemble in the only way she knows how: fabulously.
The actress wore an impressive SEVEN completely different outfits yesterday in New York, taking on everything from all-yellow ensembles, to Ralph Lauren menswear suits. However, it was her โsportyโ evening look that really had us shaking.
For the New York premiere of All I See Is You, Blake stepped out in a navy blue, red and white glittering Monse jersey with dramatic fringing. She paired the top with Navy trousers and red satin heels with a lace-up bow. Of course, she chose the perfect accessory for the occasion: her husband Ryan Reynolds.
The actor looked dapper in a matching navy blue suit and black spectacles.
If you were ever wondering how Blake does sporty, turns out itโs with plenty of glitter and a handsome man by her side.

Overnight,Reese Witherspoonand Jennifer Lawrence told their daunting stories, and now Australian star Phoebe Tonkin has opened up about her own experiences.
Taking to Twitter, Phoebe wrote: โLeft phoneless and walletless in the dark on the side of a road, picked up by 2 guys, had to fend off the same thing again by them #metoo,โ before going on to slam victim shamers, saying, โI was a teenager and that type of story was accepted by the girls as normal, and used as a way to ruin my reputation and spread as gossip by the boys. That there is the problem.โ

She also calls out societies expectations of women and the objectification of girls day-to-day.
โAlso, I think about this at least zero times day. Very rarely over the last 10 years,โ she adds.
โBut what I do think about daily is the day to day objectification of womenโs bodies, of the accusations towards women in regards to their mental health. Who has ever been accused of being too fat, of being pregnant, of trying to steal someoneโs boyfriend, of being anorexic, of being a drug addict. All accusations to rob women of their identities and their self worth. Being ashamed of being ourselves and of who we are and what we do, what weโve done.โ
โI hope the next generation of girls sees that assault, and harassment, sexual or otherwise, is not normal. Should never be normal. And donโt feel weird/guilty/awkward or ashamed to speak out. Or not even need to speak out but to not feel like theyโve done anything wrong.โ

Oscar-award winning actress Reese Witherspoon has revealed she has had โmultiple experiencesโ sexual assault and harassment throughout her career, the first by a director when she was just 16 years old.
While on stage at ELLEโs Women in Hollywood event, Reese revealed that the past week โ following on from the many allegations against film producer Harvey Weinstein โ memories of harassment and assault โhave come back to me very vividly.โ
She said that she doesnโt speak about the incidents often, but after hearing others speak of their experiences she has โfelt less alone this week than Iโve ever felt in my entire career.โ
โI found it really hard to sleep, hard to think, hard to communicate,โ Reese told the audience. โA lot of the feelings Iโve been having about anxiety, about being honest, the guilt for not speaking up earlier or taking action.โ
โTrue disgust at the director who assaulted me when I was 16 years old and anger that I felt at the agents and the producers who made me feel that silence was a condition of my employment. And I wish I could tell you that that was an isolated incident in my career, but sadly, it wasnโt. Iโve had multiple experiences of harassment and sexual assault.โ

Throughout all of her pregnancies, Kate Middleton has suffered fromhyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, making it impossible for her to keep the royal baby news a secret for long.
On September 4th an official statement from the palace confirmed the Duchess was pregnant with her third child, however, the palace chose not to release the date the new royal was due.
Now, Kensington Palace has released a further statement, confirming Kate is due in April.

Just an hour later, Lisa shared more news with fans โ she would be joining Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar on Channel Tenโs The Project from 2018.

America Ferrera has spoken out about being sexually assaulted when she was just 9-years-old in a devastating Instagram post.
The Superstore star joined the thousands of women who have shared their stories of harassment and abuse with the hashtag #MeToo.
Ferrera said the abuse occurred when she was in Elementary School.
โFirst time I can remember being sexually assaulted I was 9 years old. I told no one and lived with the shame and guilt thinking all along that I, a 9 year old child, was somehow responsible for the actions of a grown man,โ she begun the post.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BaVNRL5DtQm/
The actress explained that she was confronted with her attacker daily.
โI had to see this man on a daily basis for years to come. He would smile at me and wave, and I would hurry past him, my blood running cold, my guts carrying the burden of what only he & I knew โ that he expected me to shut my mouth and smile back,โ she revealed.
Ferrera ended her post with a call to action for other women to share their own experiences. โLadies, letโs break the silence so the next generation of girls wonโt have to live with this bullshit,โ she wrote.
The Ugly Betty starโs post comes in the wake of more than two dozen women accusing producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment or assault.

Following on from the countless women who have spoken out about being harassed or assaulted by Harvey Weinstein (Rose McGowan,Gwyneth Paltrow,Angelina Jolie and Cara Delevigne to name a few), a new social media campaign has gained incredible momentum that shows how pervasive sexual abuse against women continues to be.
Inspired by a friend, actress Alyssa Milano has encouraged women to share their experiences of sexual harassment and assault with the hashtag #MeToo.
โIf youโve been sexually harassed or assaulted write โme tooโ as a reply to this tweet,โ she begun.
Her proposition aimed to give people โa sense of the magnitude of the problem,โ as her friend put it.

Thousands of women have since responded with heartbreaking accounts of sexual harassment and assault, including famous faces Debra Messing, Anna Paquin and Rosario Dawson.
You can read some of the many #MeToo tweets that have gone viral below. And the posts are not just confined to Hollywood โ if you take a look at your own social media feed you will probably see friends or family raising their own voices.
Writer Alexis Benveniste reminded Twitter users that just because a woman โdidnโt post #MeToo, it doesnโt mean she wasnโt sexually assaulted or harassedโ. She added: โSurvivors donโt owe you their storyโ.
Meanwhile, comedian Aparna Nancherla shared her hope that the dialogue soon shifts from #MeToo to โI believe you.โ

Nearly three months after the disappearance of a young couple in Joshua Tree National Park, California, a search crew spotted some food wrappers, clothing and water bottles.
The rescue team then followed the trail and discovered two bodies that were locked in an embrace.
As Fox Newsreports, the remains are believed to belong to missing couple Rachel Nguyen, 20, and Joseph Orbeso, 21. The pair were reported missing on July 28 after they did not check out of their accommodation near the park; their car was also found in the area.

Officials have not confirmed the identity of the bodies found or the cause of death. But Josephโs father, GilbertOrbeso, who was with the rescue team when they made the discovery, told a local KESQ-TVthat the bodies belonged to the couple.
โI feel like we have closure. We know we found them. That was our main goal, to find them,โ he said.

The romance rumours started when the reality TV pair were spotted spending time in Coffs Harbour earlier this month.
Tara confirmed the โdateโ with an Instagram post, writing: โCoffee and selfies with this absolute legend @dereckthesloth. So nice running into you at Coffs man ! Have to have bevvies soon #thebachelorette.โ
That soft toy sheโs cuddling? You guessed it โ it belongs to Blake and actually made an appearance on last weekโs episode of The Bachelorette.
Though the fact that theyโve had coffee together certainly doesnโt mean theyโre an item, given the multiple ex-Bachie contestant hookups in the past, we certainly wouldnโt be surprised.
As for Blakeโs future with Sophie? A source told Daily Mail that the 29-year-old comes forth on the show.

When I was in my early 20s, a naive junior writer, I remember having the pay gap debate in a magazine editorial meeting with Lisa Wilkinson. โBut surely the main cause of the gap is the fact that we go off and have babies and stuff, so we come back to work part time and things like that,โ I said with the airy stupidity of youth.
Someone with less class than Lisa may well have cut me down with a withering retort โ there are few things more annoying than a young know-it-all spouting certainties informed by the life experience of a newborn puppy. But instead the eternally gracious Lisa patiently explained the reality. Women, on average, earn 18 per cent less than men. Across all industries. At all levels. And long before any babies or โthings like thatโ are on the table.
Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinsonโ (Credit: Getty)
The reasons arenโt always concrete or easy to define. Partly we undervalue ourselves โ weโre less likely to negotiate for higher salaries than men. But weโre also damned if we do, damned if we donโt โ if we โget toughโ weโre then seen as pushy and difficult, limiting our chance of advancement. Itโs simply an insidious belief that permeates every part of our society: that women can be part of things, sure. We can contribute. But weโre probably not really as good as the guys and should be grateful for whatever scraps are thrown from the table. The people paying our salaries think it, and weโve been trained to think it about ourselves.
Unless youโre Lisa Wilkinson. Today, she put her money where her mouth is, reportedly quitting her role as TODAY Show host after refusing to accept a smaller salary than her co-host, Karl Stefanovic. Channel Nine confirmed that the network was โunable to meet the expectations of Lisa Wilkinson and her manager on a contract renewal for a further period.โ
I have some news. I'm sad to say that today was my last day on @the today show. The following statement is from Channel Nineโฆ pic.twitter.com/B3IVDAfkSm
What Nine execs possibly didnโt realise is that their decision would also fail to โmeet the expectationsโ of Australian women everywhere โ and frankly weโve had enough. Theyโve lost far more than the best presenter on the show โ market research reportedly shows that Lisa was far and away the most popular host with the valuable female viewers who drive advertisers to open their pockets (think about the irony of that fact too long and youโll weep).
Theyโve also lost a hell of a lot of respect โ releasing a roar of indignation from women everywhere, on Twitter and Facebook, around watercoolers, in flurries of text messages between friends. This is what we deal with every day. This is our reality. This is what we will remember when Channel Nine expects us to tune back into the Today show when Lisa is gone, scrutinising whoever they rope in as her replacement, and wondering if that womanโs being ripped off on her salary too.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T @Lisa_Wilkinson for taking a stand against the gender pay gap. You are a great role model for young women @Channel9
Finally someone has done what we all wish we could โwith dignity and integrity and with high visibility. Things wonโt change tomorrow. But they will change. The floodgates havenโt opened but a tap has been turned on. We wonโt forget this.
Itโs frustrating that the lesson Lisa taught me 15 years ago is still something she needed to teach me and women like me in 2017. Hereโs hoping she has no reason to repeat it 15 years from now.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have spoken at length about their relationship โ how they fell for each other while on a double date, when they first realised they were in love, and how their children have changed their lives โ but overnight, Blake opened up specifically about why her marriage to Ryan works so well.
While a guest on Good Morning America, the actress credited the fact that theyโre both Hollywood actors, saying having the same โweirdโ career helps things a lot.
โIn general, yeah, itโs nice to have somebody who understands what youโre doing. Especially because our job is so weird โ we have to, you know, like be married to other people, and itโs all so strange. Itโs still strange. Itโs never normal, even when weโre both doing it,โ Blake explained.
โBut itโs helpful to know that like, oh, when youโre acting like youโre in a relationship with someone [else], thatโs not whatโs actually happening. Because I have friends who are married to people who arenโt in the business, and theyโre like, โOh, so youโre not actually making love in that scene?!โ And Iโm like, โNo, no, no, no, definitely not, no. So yeah, those elements are helpful.โ
The mother-of-two also revealed that she doesnโt keep up with her husband;โs hilarious jokes (usually about their daughters) on Twitter.
โLuckily I lost my password to Twitter like a year and a half ago, so I havenโt been able to keep up. So everybodyโs always asking me about it, and I say โoh my god, he said what?!โ Heโs so funny, so, anyway, [he needs] a lot of therapy,โ she joked.
My daughter loves being buried up to her neck in sand at the beach. Her little face lights up when I come back to get her the next day.

Although heโs a superhero on screen, Chris Hemsworth required a little saving of his own on a recent trek through the the Himalayas.
Hemsworthโs savior? His wife Elsa Pataky.
In an interview with news.com.au, the Thor actor explained that Pataky had come to his rescue while he was suffering severe altitude sickness on a three-day hike of the Himalayan mountains.
Hemsworthโs body was struggling to acclimatise when he reached a few thousand metres above sea level.
โI started becoming really short of breath, I had fluid in my lungs and I was trying to ignore it. I was going to sleep and my wife listened to me breathe, she could hear it in my chest, and said, โI think something is wrong.โ I was like, โI am fine, I am fine, just go to sleep,โ he recounted.
But Pataky insisted something was not right and found help.
โShe got up and told the guard we were with and he came in and looked at me and said, โOh God. We have got to get you off the mountain,โ Hemsworth said.
The actor was administered oxygen and an injection and was driven back down the mountain.
โApparently, if I was up there for another few hours, it could have gone drastically bad,โ he explained.

Lisa Wilkinson shocked fans when she took to Twitter on October 16 to announce she will be leaving TODAY, but less than 24 hours after the TV shake-up her co-host Karl Stefanovic has addressed her departure with an emotional tribute.
โIt all came as a bit of a shock to us yesterday.โ
โFor 10 years, Lisa has dragged herself out of bed at 3:30 in the morning, fed the dogs and cats, put a load of washing on and came into work to inform you of what was happening in the world,โ he began.
โFor 10 years, she handled the brutal hours with grace, beauty and intelligence and a wicked sense of humour. For whatever reason, she wonโt be doing that anymore. It is safe to say we are all a little shocked and it will take time to sink in.โ
โSo for nowthis, thank you. Thank you for the laughs, the sage advice, the calmness, oh, the calmness. And thank you for all of your support. Thank you for being a great colleague. Thanks for being a great interviewer. Thanks for being a great dancer and a truly, truly terrible singer.
Thanks for being a great mum. I know you value that more than anything else and thank you for being a great friend.
โThe rest I will leave for when I see you but whatever you do, and wherever you go, you do so having made your mark on this show and on this man.
โMostly you go with my love, lots of love, all my love. We will see you soon, maybe after midday. Enjoy the sleep-ins.โ
An hour after announcing her resignation from Channel Nine, Lisa shared more news โ she would be joining Channel Ten and the team of The Project to host the show from next year.
No one was more proud than Lisaโs husband Peter FitzSimons, who tweeted: โThatโs my MissusโฆGot a new job in 45 minutes!โ in reaction to the news.
Many other celebrities congratulated Lisa, especially given itโs widely rumoured her reason for leaving the network was because Nine refused to pay her the same salary as her male co-host.

I have some news. I'm sad to say that today was my last day on @the today show. The following statement is from Channel Nineโฆ pic.twitter.com/B3IVDAfkSm
The news came just one day after The Sunday Telegraph reported that Lisa was holding out on re-signing with the network until she was granted โpay parityโ with Karl Stefanovic. The report also suggests that Karl is โrumoured to be on twice as much.โ
The Daily Telegraphreports that Lisa left to join Network Ten for a larger pay packet. According to the publication, The Nine salary offer was up to $200,000 short of her co-hostโs salary.
Lisa has been hosting the Today show alongside Karl for just over 10 years.
Karl Stefanovic has since addressed her departure, saying this morning on-air: โIt all came as a bit of a shock to us yesterday.โ
Shortly after her initial announcement, Lisa shared the wonderful news on Twitter that she will be joining Network Ten in a senior and editorial role, and is set to appear on The Project,in 2018.
โLisa will join the team of Tenโs award-winning news and current affairs program,The Project, in a hosting role,โ said the statement. โShe will work alongsideThe Projectโshosts Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Peter Helliear, as well as hosting The Sunday Project.โ
Ten also revealed that more projects with Lisa would be announced in the coming months.
Thanks so much to everyone for all your lovely messages. I have some more news. This statement is from @channelten. I'm absolutely thrilled. pic.twitter.com/7bN9s9TUHn
Meanwhile, fans of the popular show have been left to wonder who will โreplaceโ Lisa as co-host, with news.com.aureporting that Sylvia Jeffreyโs is the current frontrunner.
Sylvia also made an emotional statement on the show this morning, telling viewers: โSeeing is believing for young girls and what they see in Lisa is a strong, influential, fun and compassionate woman at the very top of her game. Thatโs a powerful thing.โ
One thing is for sure, Lisa will definitely be missed on morning television.
Congratulations to her on this exciting new endeavour with The Project, we officially canโt wait for 2018.

It was a case described by a judge as โone of the ugliest things Iโve ever seenโ.
In July 2016, the bloodied and beaten body of 50-year-old Craig Rideout was discovered wrapped in a tarp in the woods in Yates County, New York, prosecutors say. The manโs face had been doused in acid to mask his identity.
On Friday, Mr Rideoutโs estranged wife, Laura Rideout, 46, and the coupleโs son Colin Rideout, 24, were sentenced to maximum terms for killing him and dumping his body, TIME reports.
The mother and son were each sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for second-degree murder charges. Ms Rideout was also given 15 years for second-degree burglary.
โThis case was premeditated, it was evil, and it was diabolical,โ Supreme Court Justice Thomas Moran said.
Although Mr Rideoutโs other son, Alexander Rideout, was acquitted of murder charges, he was found guilty of two counts of tampering with evidence.
The mother and son were convicted of strangling Mr Rideout with a homemade garrote before disfiguring his face in acid and concealing his body in a field.
Laura and Colin Rideout are supposed to be sentenced Oct. 13, but not if their attorneys have their say. https://t.co/StAdLQg8OT#ROC
Prosecturos had claimed that the husband and wife were going through a bitter divorce and custody battle over the youngest of their seven children, USA Todayreports.
Before Mr Rideoutโs death, Ms Rideout and their children were living with her boyfriend, Paul Tucci. In July, Mr Tucci was aquitted from murder charges.
Mr Rideoutโs sister, Robbyn Drew, paid tribute to her sibling before the sentence was announced.
โThereโs nothing to be done to bring my brother back,โ she said. โMy hope is that he is be remembered as the kind, loving man he was.โ

Summer is fast approaching and with it a significant wardrobe shift. Gone are the months where you could bundle up in a huge coat and avoid razors for days on end, replacing them, 40 degree plus heatwaves.
Proving the โ90s resurgence isnโt going anywhere fast, celebrities, models, bloggers have been opting for short hemlines and high waists, with mini skirts popping up everywhere from the street, to the runway.
See how to the trend, according to the style set, below.

Sheโs the original winner of The Bachelorette Australia and sheโs undeniably enjoyed the most success since the show โ not only is Anna Heinrich now engaged to the man she met on national TV, Tim Robards, sheโs sought-after to front national beauty campaigns.
The newly crowned Pantene Pro-V ambassador chatted to marie claire about her hair, skin and fitness prep in the lead-up to her wedding day, from how she keeps her signature blonde locks looking so good to the one beauty treatment thatโs transformed her skin.
Whatโs your best tip for amazing hair?
For me healthy, strong hair always looks amazing. Iโm conscious that maintaining healthy hair requires maintenance from the inside out, so I try to eat the right foods and look after my hair with the right products. I also like to be consistent when it comes to washing my hair after itโs been styled for events. Product build up can really dry it out and be quite damaging, so I always shampoo and condition before re-styling.
What are your go-to hair products?
I canโt live without hair spray โ my hair can be a little frizzy so itโs an absolute necessity, especially for events. I always start with Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner. This combination is my favourite because itโs really hydrating and protects my hair against everything I put it through! And I love dry shampoo for a quick fix.
I love La Prairie Skin Caviar โ itโs a little bit indulgent, but a girl has to have her vices!
Are you having any regular beauty treatments in the lead-up to your wedding?
For my skin Iโm getting Clear and Brilliant laser treatments, and Iโm so happy with the results. It leaves your skin looking fresh and glowy. I donโt tend to use face masks โ Iโm not a facial girl, which is why Iโm using laser treatments instead.
What will your exercise routine involve in the lead-up to your wedding?
I try exercise every day โ even if thatโs just going for a long walk. For me, I need to mix it up, so moving in to summer Iโll add swimming, Iโm also doing Infinite Cycle sessions for toning, and of course, a little TRM (The Robards Method!).
Have you changed your diet at all?
Iโm more conscious of what and when I eat, but really, moderationโฆand a little piece of chocolate!
Have you decided on your wedding day hair and make-up?
I have something in mindโฆ Iโm testing different looks to see what I like, making sure that it complements the dress. If anyone has any suggestions, Iโm all ears!

I went to Hollywood when I was 23. I had made a low-budget film, won an award at a prestigious festival, scored an agent and made a TV deal all within six months. It was a fairy tale most people will never experience, and I knew, as well as a 23-year-old can know anything, that I was getting a pretty great deal. I bounced from meeting to meeting with the joy of Cinderella at the ball.
These meetings, almost always with men, were rife with acts of everyday sexism โ the presumption that I must want to make small โintimateโ movies, a suggestion that I write a comedy focused on โthe way womenโs periods sync up and they go crazy for a week,โ the insistence that Iโd be โreally funny paired with a hot girl.โ There were dinners that went on too long, work lunches that turned into confessions about the broken state of the film executiveโs marriage and the consistent insistence that I must, as my work suggests, be โup for anything in bed.โ
I took it in stride, unloading the dayโs injustices on the couch of my new friend (and now my work partner), Jenni Konner. She told me maddening stories of her own ascent and we plotted a new world for ourselves. We imagined a set run by women, men who wouldnโt dream of overstepping or underpaying, a company where girls stretched as far as the eye could see, the chance to write scripts that changed peopleโs perceptions of feminine identity. We would tell any man who thought that was an invitation for sex to go eat a shoe. The men we have worked with โ like Judd Apatow, Hollywoodโs least sleazy guy โ have showed us utter respect. The only terrifying producer rage I ever experienced was from a gay man who tried to take back a purse he had bought me. We got to do all that we had dreamed of and more.
This past week, reports that Harvey Weinstein had sexually harassed women for years came to light, making it crystal clear that not every woman in Hollywood has had the chance to walk our path. Abuse, threats and coercion have been the norm for so many women trying to do business or make art. Mr. Weinstein may be the most powerful man in Hollywood to be revealed as a predator, but heโs certainly not the only one who has been allowed to run wild. His behavior, silently co-signed for decades by employees and collaborators, is a microcosm of what has been happening in Hollywood since always and of what workplace harassment looks like for women everywhere.
Harvey Weinstein
The use of power to possess and silence women is as likely to occur in a fast-food restaurant as it is on a movie set, and Hollywood has yet another chance to make a noisy statement about what we should and should not condone as a society. A liberal-leaning industry, we have been quick to condemn Bill OโReilly, Roger Ailes and, yes, the president. We do not accept sexual abuse as โlocker room talk.โ So why the deafening silence, particularly from the industryโs men, when one of our own is outed as having a nasty taste for humiliating and traumatizing women?
This isnโt anything new. Woody Allen, whose daughter has said, over his denials, that he sexually abused her as a child, is still getting the hottest young stars to work with him. Roman Polanski, whose victims continue to come forward, is considered a visionary worth fighting for, and I recently had a male star tell me that working with him would โobviously be the ultimate.โ (In fact, Mr. Weinstein himself gathered Hollywood to sign a letter asking that Mr. Polanskiโs charges be dropped and he be allowed to return to America.)
Beyond these bold-name cases, ignoring bad behavior remains the signature move of men in Hollywood. I hear stories from victims themselves at a rate that feels positively dystopian. Last year, I was sexually harassed by a director of a show, not my own, and not on a set, and the response by the powers that be was to defend him, question the women ferociously and take ages before letting him go from the network. It was a move based less on his skill than on some ancient loyalty. Itโs that kind of behavior that normalizes this abuse of power.

The accusations against Mr. Weinstein, so clearly outlined and so completely horrifying, seemed impossible to dispute or ignore. I naรฏvely expected that the reticence that Hollywoodโs powerful men have shown, the collective refusal to take sides in he-said she-said narratives, would be crushed in the face of this open secret being revealed definitively. The reason I am zeroing in on the men is that they have the least to lose and the most power to shift the narrative, and are probably not dealing with the same level of collective and personal trauma around these allegations. But here we are, days later, waiting for Mr. Weinsteinโs most powerful collaborators to say something. Anything. It wouldnโt be just a gift to the women he has victimized, but a message to the women who are watching our industry closely. They need a signal that we do not approve of the abuse of power and hatred of women that is the driving force behind this kind of behavior.
In the fall of 2016, I performed at a benefit for Hillary Clinton organized by the Weinstein Company. I had heard the rumors. I felt that going onstage under his aegis was a betrayal of my own values. But I wanted so desperately to support my candidate that I made a calculation. Weโve all made calculations, and saying weโre sorry about those calculations is not an act of cowardice. Itโs an essential change of position that could shift the way we do business and the way women regard their own position in the workplace. Iโm sorry I shook the hand of someone I knew was not a friend to women in my industry.
Men of Hollywood, what are you sorry for? What will you refuse to accept anymore? What will you say to fill the void and change the standard? Are you afraid because you heard the whisperings but accepted a role or a position on a host committee or a glass of Champagne and a pat on the back? Are you embarrassed because youโre in a photo with him smiling broadly or because he gave money to your organization or introduced you to your girlfriend or earned you your Oscar nomination? Are you operating under the assumption that this is very sad but that it is not your problem?
Hillary Clinton and Harvey Weinstein (Credit: Getty)
It is, unfortunately, all of our problems. It is the problem of the agents who sent their clients to meet with a man they knew was a predator, who shuffled them onto his sets. It is the problem of producers who turned a blind eye. It is the problem of actors who heard whispers but walked back to their trailers to play fantasy football. It is the problem of industry media that would not report their findings because they feared losing their place in Harvey Weinsteinโs good graces. It is not, as some have suggested, the problem of the women who are afraid to come forward with their own stories or who settled financially with Mr. Weinstein.
Hollywoodโs silence, particularly that of men who worked closely with Mr. Weinstein, only reinforces the culture that keeps women from speaking. When we stay silent, we gag the victims. When we stay silent, we condone behavior that none of us could possibly believe is O.K. (unless you do). When we stay silent, we stay on the same path that led us here. Making noise is making change. Making change is why we tell stories. We donโt want to have to tell stories like this one again and again. Speak louder.

The truly shocking thing about Harvey Weinsteinโs alleged predatory conduct isnโt merely that he harassed, assaulted and preyed on so many young women for so long. Itโs not that he abused his position by allegedly forcing them into silence: threatening their careers if they spoke out, paying them to keep quiet.
The truly shocking fact is that it took until the year 2017 for a group of his victims to be heard and to be believed. It is astonishing, and abysmal, given reports of Weinsteinโs deplorable penchant for violating women date back more than twenty years.
The producer has been subject to various police investigations and has reportedly reached financial settlements with at least eight different women, one as early as 1997. As of last week, 30 women have accused him of assault and three have accused him of rape. It was an โopen secretโ.
And yet, until last week, Weinstein continued on in his career unencumbered by any adverse consequences. His power has only grown over time and has remained his protection: Weinstein has been free to wield his very real power over his selected victims for decades without any fear of retribution.
Harvey Weinstein and Gwyneth Paltrow, 2002
Rose McGowan, Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cara Delavigne and Angelina Jolie are among those women who were powerless compared to Weinstein when he reportedlysubjectedthem to lewd and unwanted advances.
The salt in the ghastly wound of being sexually assaulted, for too many violated women, is not being believed afterwards, and when the perpetrator is powerful itโs worse still. It means speaking out could result in disaster. In losing your career. Being labelled a liar. Landing yourself in court. Being cross-examined. Facing financial ruin.
In the days after the reports of Weinsteinโs conduct emerged there were people willing to cast doubt over the women who spoke out. To side with Weinstein. To couch his conduct as a mere misunderstanding of sorts. (On more than 30 separate occasions?)
Galling is an understatement.
Hollywood might be a different world but the likes of Harvey Weinstein are not exclusive to the Los Angeles bubble. Sexual harassment and assault remain rife in too many workplaces, in too many countries, including here.
Harvey Weinstein and Jennifer Lawrence in 2014
One in four Australian womenhasbeen sexually harassed or assaulted in the workplace and just one in five of those formally reported their experience.
According to the Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins many women donโt reportassaultbecause they fear the impact it could have on their career, and as shewrites, they are right:
โOur research shows that these fears about the negative consequences of reporting sexual harassment at work are very much grounded in reality. Nearlyone thirdof people who made a formal complaint about workplace sexual harassment said that they suffered significant consequences as a result, such as being labelled atrouble maker, being ostracised, victimised or ignored by colleagues.โ
The fact itโs impossible to name a single woman who has been rewarded or lauded for calling out the criminal conduct of a powerful man is telling. It is a path with few perks.
The women who have called out Weinstein deserve our trust and deserve to be believed.

He cancelled all his media interviews (bar one) following his shock exit from The Bachelorette last week, but now series villain Sam Cochrane has finally spoken out.
In true Sam Cochrane style, the Bachelorette evictee posted two videos to Instagram, which show him singing Billy Joelโs โSheโs Always A Womanโ while his mother accompanies him on piano.
โWomenโฆ Here is a song about how beautiful and complex they are while sitting next to the woman that taught me to love,โ heโs captioned the post. โThis was the night I got out of the mansion.โ
โNegativity has begun since getting out and I was about to defend myself with evidence. Only part truths made it to the screen and I know the truth in my heartโฆ why battle? โ there is enough of that shit in the world and letโs face it. All we need is love.โ
We can only assume heโs referring to the fact that after he told Kyle and Jackie O that he and Sophie Monk shared a โgreatโ kiss, Monk called the radio show to set the record straight โ and give a damning indictment of Sam. โI gave him a rose and pecked him to be polite, and he goes, โcan I have a peck?โ and I said โthat was a peckโ and then he grabbed my head and kissed me and I didnโt really kiss him back,โ Monk said. โIt made me feel really uncomfortable, so if they [producers] cut it out, thatโs why.โ

Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender have reportedly wed in an intimate ceremony in Ibiza over the weekend.
Multiple publications including Entertainment Tonight, Just Jaredand The Daily Mailreported that the engaged couple were in the Spanish island for a โwedding weekend,โ and they were spotted enjoying a party with close friends and family on Friday the 13th of October.
Alicia wore a boho white dress and oversized white love-heart sunglasses, while Michael was laid-back in an undone Hawaiian shirt and shorts.
The Daily Mail has reported that the couple tied the knot on Saturday the 14th of October, following several days of festivities in Ibiza. The publication has shared photos from a brunch that took place the day after the ceremony, in which the pair could be seen wearing wedding rings.
In the photos from the brunch, Michael could be seen wearing a new gold band on his ring finger, which had been bare the days before. Meanwhile, Aliciaโs engagement ring appears to be accompanied by a new wedding band, too.
The notoriously low-key couple began dating in 2014, falling in love as they filmed the drama Light Between The Oceans.
โWe had met at Toronto Film Festival and just on the dance floor,โ Aliciatold ETlast year, before Michael chimed in: โI thought I was a good dancer until she started dancing and then I felt like I had two left feet.โ
The couple then โproperlyโ met during rehearsals for their film, with Michael saying their chemistry โwas sort of there from the beginning.โ

As anyone haunted by bad sartorial choices made in the โ90s knows, some are harder to move on from than others. Case in point: the โ90s skinny brow (although Bella Hadid is trying her best to bring it back). But Victoria Beckham has found a way to rescue her brows from pluckings past: Latisse growth serum.
Although technically designed for eyelashes, Beckham recently told Into The Gloss that she uses Latisse โon my brows as well.โ A prescription-only product made by Allergan, the same pharmaceutical company behind Botox, Latisse lists bimatoprost as its active, growth-inducing ingredient โ and according to VB, it works a treat.
โWhen you buy it, you get a bunch of these little brushes to go with the drops,โ Beckham explains. โI will use it along the bottom part of my lashes and the topโฆ Iโll use a generous amount on my eyebrows as well, and my brows have completely grown back. I have gone through phases where Iโve stopped using it, and I noticed a big difference.โ
But thereโs a catch: as Beckham notes, โyou have to make sure you donโt get it in your eye because you can get brown spots that way.โ
Brown spots? On your eye? According to the โadverse reactionsโ on the Latisse website, โpatients should be advised about the potential for increased brown iris pigmentation which is likely to be permanent.โ Let us debunk that: it could turn your blue eyes brown, and make brown eyes darker again. Also: โiris colour changes seen with administration of bimatoprost ophthalmic solution may not be noticeable for several months to years.โ
Users also have to be wary of eyelid pigmentation and unwanted hair growth on areas that come into contact with the product.

TV host James Corden has come under fire for his jokes about disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein told at an AIDS-research benefit.
While hosting the AmfAR Gala in Los Angeles on Friday, Corden begun his monologue with the joke: โThis is a beautiful room. Itโs a beautiful night here in L.A. So beautiful, Harvey Weinstein has already asked tonight up to his hotel to give him a massage.โ
He also joked: โIt has been weird this week though, watching Harvey Weinstein in hot water. Ask any of the women who watched him take a bath,โ and โHarvey Weinstein wanted to come tonight. But sadly, heโll settle for whatever potted plant is closest, Deadline reports.
Rose McGowan (Credit: Getty)
Rose McGowan and Asia Argento, who have accused Weinstein of sexual abuse, took to twitter to slam Corden for making light of sexual assault.
โYOU MOTHERF*****G PIGLET,โ McGowan tweeted with a clip of the monologue.
She also posted that โJames Corden is a close friend of HWโsโ and โHearing the audienceโs vile roars & laughs show EXACTLY what kind of HOLLYWOOD you really are.โ
โShame on this pig and everyone who grunted with him #amfARLosAngeles,โ Argento added
Since the criticism, Corden has apologised for his jokes and explained his intention was to shame the producerโs behavior.
โTo be clear, sexual assault is no laughing matter. I was not trying to make light of Harveyโs inexcusable behavior 1/2,โ the The Late Late Show host tweed, โbut to shame him, the abuser, not his victims. I am truly sorry for anyone offended, that was never my intention. (2/2)โ

A former contestant on The Apprentice who accused Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her has subpoenaed his campaign for โall documents concerning any woman who asserted that Donald J. Trump touched her inappropriatelyโ.
As Buzzfeed first reported, the subpoena was issued by Summer Zervosโ lawyers in March. Ms Zervos accused Trump of kissing her and grabbing her breast in 2007 when she visited his bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel to discuss a job opportunity. The Apprentice contestant voiced the allegations at a news conference in October last year.

The subpoena seeks โall documents concerning any accusations that were made during Donald J. Trumpโs election campaign for president, that he subjected any woman to unwanted sexual touching and/or sexually inappropriate behavior.โ
At least ten women who have accused Trump of groping them are named, including Jessica Leeds, Mindy McGillivray, Rachel Crooks, Natasha Stoynoff, Temple Taggart, Kristin Anderson, Cathy Heller, Jill Harth, and Jessica Drake.
The subpoena is part of a defamation lawsuit Zervos filed against Trump after he called her allegations โlies, lies, lies,โ NBC Newsreports.
Trumpโs attorneys have claimed the suit โhas no legal merit,โ and were โfame-seeking accusationsโ.

Conducted by Professor Kefah Mokbel, a breast cancer surgeon at the Princess Grace Hospital in London, the study determined that โalthough further work is required to confirm our results, our findings suggest that exposure to hair dyes may contribute to breast cancer risk,โ reports The Times.
But donโt panic just yet: Dr Mokbel doesnโt demand all women stop colouring their hair, stat โ but what he would like to see is people booking appointments far less regularly. โWhat I find concerning is the fact that the industry recommends women should dye their hair every four to six weeks,โ Dr Mokbel told The Times. He suggests a safer frequency would be as little as two to five times a year.

Though the rest of the nation is torn between whether theyโd rather date Apolloโs left arm or Apolloโs right arm, it seems the rumours are true and Bachelorette Sophie Monk really does choose frontrunner Stu Laundy.
It turns out, before the show even started Sophie made a slip-up in an interview, confirming the contestant she chooses has children.
Yep, the only contestant left in the final five who already has a couple of kids (four girls with his ex-wife) is 44-year-old hotel heir, Stu.
Early last month (and rediscovered over the weekend), Sophie told NW magazineshe was still with the Bachelorette winner and happily in love:โYep! Iโm fully in love! Iโve got to say, at the beginning, I was so nervous about this, but it was fun and also hard work because youโre hurting people and itโs real emotions and itโs actually real,โ she said.
โIโd love to have my own [kids]โฆ I think in a year or a year and a half maybe.โ
Thatโs right. Sophie wants to have her own children with the winner, meaning he already has children โ four to be precise.

The man rumoured to win Sophie Monkโs heart on The Bachelorette has just revealed heโs undergone a vasectomy.
Hotel heir Stu Laundy, who already has four children to his first wife, told TV Week that he underwent the procedure, which prevents men from being able to have kids.
โI love kids more than life itself,โ Stu said. โI was married and had four beautiful kids and then I had a vasectomy.โ
The news will likely shock Sophie, who has been open about wanting to have children and get married, and who is about to undergo hometown visits with her top five.

โBut you do the work and itโs good again,โ the 38-year-old singer explained in an new interview with The Guardian. โThere are moments when I look at [Hart] and he is the most thoughtful, logical, constantโฆ heโs like a rock. Heโs a good man. Heโs a good dad. Heโs just the kind of dad I thought heโd be and then some.โ
She then changes tact: โAnd then Iโll look at him and go, Iโve never liked you. Thereโs nothing I like about you. We have nothing in common. I donโt like any of the shit you like. I donโt ever wanna see you again. And then two weeks later Iโm like, โthings are so good, you guys.โ
Pink went on to reveal that she and her 42-year-old husband once didnโt sleep together for a year. โThen youโll go through times when you havenโt had sex in a year,โ she admitted. โIs this bed death/ Is this the end of it? Do I want him? Does he want me?โ
(Credit: Getty)
Hart and Pink have temporarily split twice before: once in 2003, and again in 2008, two years after they married in 2006. They have two children together, six-year-old Willow Sage and nine-month old Jameson.

Following rumours that Kylie Jenner and Khloรจ Kardashian will be welcoming their first children alongside Kim Kardashianโs (confirmed) third child, the world has been patiently waiting for someone in the family to confirm the news.
And, finally, it looks like Scott Disick has accidentally let the cat out of the bag.
When asked by E! News what advice he would give Khloe regarding raising children, he said: โI donโt really need to give advice per se because we are right there. Itโs not like long-distance, โhey, maybe you should try this?โ Everybody is so hands-on that I feel like it will happen within time. So no real advice in that sense.โ
โI feel like all of us are so close that all of our children are kind of brought up in the same vicinity, or one block over, that everybodyโs kind of there for each other,โ he added.
Notice how Scott used present tense saying โwillโ, rather than โwouldโ, and โI donโt really need to give her adviceโ, instead of โwouldnโtโ?
We might be grasping at straws here but given that both sisters are doing nothing to dispell the rumours, our bets are on a trio of Kardashian-Jenner babies to come.
Khloe stepped out with sisters Kim and Kourtney over the weekend, concealing her bump in an oversized jacket and placing her hand across her stomach as she walked.

Blake Lively has revealed her own terrifying story of sexual harassment following on from the slew of allegations from stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Cara Delevingne against film producer Harvey Weinstein.
ThoughBlake said she was never harassed by Weinstein, she revealedthat she had a โterrifyingโ experience with a male makeup artist, whom she declined to name.
โHe was saying things inappropriately, insisting on putting my lipstick on with his finger,โ she told theLos Angeles Times.
โI was sleeping one night on location and I woke up and he was filming me. I was clothed, but it was a very voyeuristic, terrifying thing to do.โ
Lively reported the man to producers, but she said they did nothing. Finally, they asked for a meeting and Blake was sure it was to address the issue, instead, they told her off about her dog.
โI thought, โWell finally, theyโre going to do something about this man who I had to havetouchingme all day,โ she said. โAnd they said, โYour dog left a poop behind the toilet in your dressing room and our janitor had to pick it up. And this is very serious and we canโt have this happen again.โโ
Blake took the case to her lawyer and the makeup artist was finally dismissed from the project, but with a recommendation letter in hand โ โnobody wanted there to be bad blood.โ
Blakeโs scary story comes after a New York Times expose revealed decades of sexual harassment and assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein. Since the article, many more famous actresses have come forward to reveal they too were harassed by the producer.

Heโs been in the business for as long as we can remember, but was the one that took it all way too far. The recent exposure of Harvey Weinsteinโs decades of sexual harassment, assault, and attempts on the women of Hollywood has finally been uncovered with more and more allegations revealed daily.
His reputation as one of the two legendary Weinstein Brothers and position at the helm of Miramax led him through his Hollywood years as a renowned film producer; giving a female actress a lead role in one of his productions was a golden ticket to fame. It has taken some women 20 years to find the strength to share their stories of the monster who took way too many liberties, and their relief in finding the freedom to speak out is palpable.
These are the celebrities that have spoken out against the producer.

โI never heard any stories like this โ I never heard anything specific โ but itโs devastating to hear.โ
โThe number one thing that can happen is that people who share their stories, people have to listen to them and trust them, and people have to take it seriously. As important as it is to remain furious about this, itโs important to also say that this exists everywhere so remember to look everywhere. This isnโt a single incident. This cannot happen, this should not happen, and it happens in every single industry,โ Blake Lively told Hollywood Reporter.
Colin Firth

He may have won an Oscar with Weinstein close by for his role in The Kingโs Speech, but Firth told The Guardian that โwith a feeling of nausea I read what was going on while I was benefitting from Harvey Weinsteinโs supportโ. He also said, โ[Harvey] was a powerful and frightening man to stand up to. It must have been terrifying for these women to step up and call him out. And horrifying to be subjected to that kind of harassment. I applaud their courage.โ

โI stand with all the women who have been sexually harrassed and am awestruck by their bravery. This mistreatment of women has to stop,โ Emma Watson wrote on Twitter.
โIn this instance, it was women affected but I also stand with all the men, indeed any person, who has suffered sexual harassment,โ she added. Emma starred in Weinsteinโs production of My Week With Marilyn.
Matt Damon

โLook, even before I was famous, I didnโt abide this kind of behaviour. But now, as the father of four daughters, this is the kind of sexual predation that keeps me up at night. This is the great fear for all of us.โ Matt Damon told Deadline.
Ben Affleck

โI am saddened and angry that a man who I worked with used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass and manipulate many women over decades. The additional allegations of assault that I read this morning made me sick. This is completely unacceptable, and I find myself asking what I can do to make sure this doesnโt happen to others. We need to do better at protecting our sisters, friends, co-workers and daughters. We must support those who come forward, condemn this type of behaviour when we see it and help ensure there are more women in positions of power,โ Ben Affleck wrote on Twitter.
โI was deeply disturbed to hear the news about Harvey Weinsteinโs behaviour. I worked with Harvey five years ago and I did not experience any form of harassment personally, nor did I know about any of these allegations. This kind of abuse is inexcusable and absolutely upsetting.โ
โMy heart goes out to all of the women affected by these gross actions. And I want to thank them for their bravery to come forward,โ Jennifer Lawrence told E! News.
Dame Judi Dench

Having worked numerous times with Weinstein, Dench released a statement to CNN: โWhilst there is no doubt that Harvey Weinstein has helped and championed my film career for the past 20 years, I was completely unaware of these offences which are, of course, horrifying and I offer my sympathy to those who have suffered, and wholehearted support to those who have spoken out.โ
Jessica Chastain

โI was warned from the beginning. The stories were everywhere. To deny that is to create an environment for it to happen again,โ Chastain said on Twitter.
Kate Winslet
(Credit: Getty)
โThe fact that these women are starting to speak out about the gross misconduct of one of our most important and well-regardedd film producers, is incredibly brave and has been deeply shocking to hear. The way Harvey Weinstein has treated these vulnerable, talented young women is NOT the way women should ever EVER deem to be acceptable or commonplace in ANY workplace,โ Winslet said to Variety.
Mark Ruffalo

โTo be clear what Harvey Weinstein did was a disgusting abuse of power and horrible. I hope we are now seeing the beginning of the end of these abuses,โ Mark Ruffalo said on Twitter.

One of Hollywoodโs most beloved actresses, who is never afraid to speak her mind, gave a statement to The Huffington Post:
โThe disgraceful news about Harvey Weinstein has appalled those of us whose work he championed, and those whose good and worthy causes he supported. The intrepid women who raised their voices to expose this abuse are our heroes.
One thing can be clarified. Not everybody knew. Harvey supported the work fiercely, was exasperating but respectful with me in our working relationship, and with many others with whom he worked professionally. I didnโt know about these other offenses: I did not know about his financial settlements with actresses and colleagues; I did not know about his having meetings in his hotel room, his bathroom, or other inappropriate, coercive acts. And If everybody knew, I donโt believe that all the investigative reporters in the entertainment and the hard news media would have neglected for decades to write about it.
The behavior is inexcusable, but the abuse of power familiar. Each brave voice that is raised, heard and credited by our watchdog media will ultimately change the game.โ
George Clooney

โItโs indefensible. Thatโs the only word you can start with. Harveyโs admitted to it, and itโs indefensible. Iโve known Harvey for 20 years. He gave me my first big break as an actor in films on From Dusk Till Dawn, he gave me my first big break as a director with Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Weโve had dinners, weโve been on location together, weโve had arguments. But I can tell you that Iโve never seen any of this behaviour โ ever,โ Clooney told theDaily Beast.
Brie Larson

โAs always, I stand with the brave survivors of sexual assault and harassment. Itโs not your fault,โ Larson said onTwitter.
Mindy Kaling
(Credit: Getty)
โWhy is it helpful men speak up? Bc thatโs what this personality fears most: the disintegration of the tacit male support for this behaviour,โ Mindy said on Twitter.
With Weinsteinโs regular donations to the Democrat party, and Malia Obamaโs recent internship with the Weinstein Company, Barack Obama issued this statement:
โMichelle and I have been disgusted by the recent reports about Harvey Weinstein. Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status. We should celebrate the courage of women who have come forward to tell these painful stories. And we all need to build a culture โ including by empowering our girls and teaching our boys decency and respect โ so we can make such behavior less prevalent in the future.โ
The latest to release her statement, Thompson spoke to The Daily Mail, and of course was her brilliant bold self.
โOf courseโฆI spent my 20s trying to keep old menโs tongues out of my mouthโ, she said when asked if there were others like Weinstein in the industry. She also said: I donโt think you can describe him as a sex addict. Heโs a predator. Heโs an actual predator, heโs dangerous and what heโs done and what heโs doing is criminal.โ
โWhat I find sort of extraordinary is that this man is at the top of a very particular icebergโฆAt the top of the ladder is a system of harassment, and belittling, and bullying, and interference, and what my mother would have referred to in the old days as โpesteringโ.โ
Ryan Gosling
(Credit: Getty)
Gosling was another to take to Twitter with his support. โI want to add my voice of support for the women who have had the courage to speak out against Harvey Weinstein,โ he wrote. โLike most people in Hollywood, I have worked with him and Iโm deeply disappointed in myself for being so oblivious to these devastating experiences of sexual harassment and abuse. He is emblematic of a systemic problem. Men should stand with women and work together until there is real accountability and change.โ
Leonardo DiCaprio
(Credit: Getty)
DiCaprio said his peace with the matter through a Facebook post earlier this week, but played it subtle with no direct reference to Weinstein himself. โThere is no excuse for sexual harassment or sexual assaultโ no matter who you are and no matter what profession.โ he shared. โI applaud the strength and courage of the women who came forward and made their voices heardโ.

Ruth Hurley was travelling through Latin American with her now-husband when she had a genius idea.
No, the idea wasnโt to have a mojito by the pool; it was to start a swimwear label back in Australia.
After moving to Australia from England nine years ago, Hurley, who studied at the London College of Fashion, noticed a gap in the market for affordable designer swimwear.
She used her yearlong holiday in Latin America to do business research, speak to suppliers and draw up designs. โI think you have the headspace to do that when youโre on holiday. People have good ideas all the time, but when youโre working 9am-5pm itโs hard to devote time and energy to them,โ she says.
In 2013, back in Australia, she launched RH Swimwear while working full time in marketing. She spent every morning, evening, lunch break and weekend working on her brand and packing orders in her living room. โWhen I first started out, my flat was full of parcels and boxes,โ says Hurley, who now has a warehouse in Western Sydney. โThank goodness.โ
Now in its fourth year, RH Swimwear has doubled in size year on year and has big name bikini fans such as Tash Oakley. While Hurley gets a kick when an influencer wears one of her designs on Instagram, she loves spotting customers wearing them at the beach even more.
Having just launched her S17/18 collection, Hurley says she finds design inspiration everywhere โ especially on Pinterest. โIโm constantly pinning fresh colours and prints that I like โ even if thatโs a crockery print,โ she says.

As any new mum knows, breastfeeding is no walk in the park. And when mastitis enters the equation? Itโs a nightmare.
But one Queensland mother has found an unconventional way to treat the breastfeeding condition, which is usually the result of a blocked milk duct, and it involves using a vibrator.
Mum-of-two Danielle had mastitis three times while breastfeeding her nine-month-old son, she tells Kidspot, and when she began to wean him, the inflammatory condition returned.
โI had tried everything โ heat packs, rubbing it, pumping, hot showers โ everything,โ she says.
After she read about massaging breasts with a buzzing vibrator to unblock the milk ducts while breastfeeding on an online motherโs forum, she decided to give it a try. And lo and behold โ it worked in less than 10 minutes. Added bonus: it hasnโt come back.
โIt didnโt hurt to use the vibrator โ it was the least painful of everything I had tried before,โ Danielle tells Kidspot.
Thatโs one way to shock the mother-in-law when she pops in to pay a visit.
If youโre experiencing any difficulties breastfeeding, counselling is available 24/7 on the Australian Breastfeeding Associationโs national breastfeeding helpline: 1800 686 268.

Can you believe itโs been 15 years since Blue Crush entered our lives?! Neither can we. But amidst the news NBC is rebooting the film as a TV series, itโs surfaced that the filming and behind the scenes werenโt quite as dreamy as you might think.
We know him as Anne-Marieโs (Kate Bosworth) love interest, and also as the Harvard law student boyfriend of Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde, but in a recent interview with Pedestrian TV, actor Matthew Davis admitted that the filming for Blue Crush really took its toll on the cast.
Hard to believe, right? But if you think of the year 2002, and if you note the filming start date as September 12, you can remember the tragedy that hit the US just the day before. โIt was just a tough time. We started shooting right after 9/11, the people were really shaken up,โ Davis said. So much so that Davis had to take some time away from work straight after filming was completed.
He also confessed that โIt was more difficult to film than the script led onโ.
Despite the idyllic location and the thought of spending days on a Hawaiian beach, Davis โtook some time off after that movie. It was a pretty traumatic experience on a lot of levels for a lot of people. I just took some time off, collected my thoughts and had a regroup. Things were never really quite the same for me after that film.โ
Michelle Rodriguez also admitted the timing took its toll on her too. โI had the 9/11 thing going on with smoke from buildings coming over into my house, I need to get out of here [New York] dude so I was like, Hawaii, whatever, letโs go! Letโs do it now!โ she told IGN.
(Credit: Getty)
The cast on the whole were pretty young, and Kate Bosworth was a recent high school graduate and had only moved to LA two months before landing her lead role. She told Cosmopolitan: โIt was so insane. I had just graduated from high school. I moved out to L.A. by myself and got Blue Crush two months later. I am naturally pretty small and, when I got the role, the producer was like, โI donโt know if you can play a surfer believably. Youโre going to have to put on some muscle.โ I was like, โOkay, anything you want!โ
And the fitness routine sounded gruelling: โI was weight training and learning to surf seven hours a day, seven days a week, for four months. I gained 15 pounds of muscle, which is a lot for me. It was a completely different body shapeโฆlike putting on a costume to get into character,โ she added.
But despite the hard work emotionally and physically, itโs unapparent in the watching of the film, and still is and always will be our noughties crush.

The clip from 2011 shows the cast, including Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington, answering questions at a Comic-con convention.
When asked about his favourite parts of acting on GoT, Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo, replied that he loves being able to โget awayโ with โraping beautiful womenโ.
โAs far as sci-fi and fantasy, I love that thereโs so many things you can do, like rip someoneโs tongue out of their throat and get away with itโฆ and rape beautiful women,โ he says.
The audience laughs while many of the GoT stars beside him hide their heads and smile awkwardly.
Though it pays to note that the comment was made tongue in cheek, and Momoa has since apologised for the โinsensitivity of my remarks,โ isnโt it past time we stopped joking about sexual assault?
Taking to Instagram this morning, the actor acknowledged his โdistasteful jokeโ and apologised.

While weโll often take bridal inspiration from a star wearing a white designer gown on the red carpet, itโs rare to see an actual wedding dress worn outside of, well, an actual wedding โ but Jennifer Lawrence has done just that.
For the Faces Places premiere in West Hollywood this week, J-Law wore a wedding dress from bridal design house L. Wells. Founded by fashion designer Lauren Wells, who once worked at Vera Wang, L. Wells specialises in made-to-order wedding gowns for the bride who skews to the bohemian side.

Lawrence teamed her look with a romantic berry lip, tousled hair and layered jewellery. We do.

A man has been sentenced to at least 30 years in jail for stabbing his ex-partnerโs Tinder date to death in a Sydney restaurant.
Alexander Villaluna attacked Keith Collins, who was on a first date with Jovi Pilapil, at a restaurant in Hornsby shopping centre in March 2016.
As ABC Newsreports, Villaluna stabbed Mr Collins in the stomach and neck 10 times with a hunting knife, and also attacked his former girlfriend Ms Pilapil in the chest and arm. He then fled the scene.

The 46-year-old, who pleaded guilty to murder and wounding with intent to commit grievous bodily harm, was sentenced on Thursday.
During sentencing, Justice Beech-Jones described Villaluna as โan almost textbook example of a perpetrator of extreme domestic violence,โ Nine News reports.
โOne of the most disturbing aspects of the CCTV, was the complete absence of any hesitation,โ he told the court.
โThat namely he would kill any man he thought was showing a romantic interest in his ex-partner.โ

Justice Beech-Jones added: โOf all the cowardly and pitiless acts the offender committed on this day, his actions in returning to finish-off a dying man on the ground was perhaps the most heinous.โ
Villaluna was sentenced to a maximum 34 years in prison for murder a maximum 12 years for wounding.

A professional mountain climber in the US has taken his own life following the tragic death of his girlfriend, who died in an avalanche.
Hayden Kennedy was skiing on Mt Imp, Montana with his girlfriend Inge Perkins on Saturday when they were caught in a 45-metre wide avalanche in a steep gulley, The Sun reports.
27-year-old Hayden was partially buried and managed to pull himself free. But once he escaped, he desperately searched for his girlfriend.
23-year-old Inge, also a skilled ski mountaineer, was buried fully in the snow and died on the mountain.
Unable to bear the loss of his partner, Hayden sadly took his life the next day. He was found dead in his home on Sunday while authorities embarked to recover Ingeโs body.
In a statement, Haydenโs father Michael Kennedy confirmed his son had โsurvived the avalanche,โ but couldnโt bear โthe unbearable loss of his partner in lifeโ.
โHaving lived for 27 years with the great joy and spirit that was Hayden Kennedy, we share the loss of our son and his partner Inge Perkins as the result of an avalanche in the southern Madison Mountains near Bozeman, Montana, on October 7th,โ Michael wrote.
โHe chose to end his life. Myself and his mother Julie sorrowfully respect his decision,โ he wrote.
Haydenโs father described him as an โuncensored soulโ whose โaccomplishments as a mountaineer were always secondary to his deep friendships and mindfulnessโ.
Before her death, Inge had studied math at Montana State University and worked as a climbing coach.
The Sun also revealed that Hayden wrote a haunting post on a climbing blog two weeks before his death explaining he had seen too many friends die in the mountains.
โIโve realised something painful. Itโs not just the memorable summits and crux moves that are fleeting. Friends and climbing partners are fleeting, too,โ he wrote on the Evening Sends blog.
โThis is the painful reality of our sport, and Iโm unsure what to make of it. Climbing is either a beautiful gift or a curse.โ

When it comes to pregnancy experiences and birth stories, the really awful, traumatic anecdotes seem to stick in our minds. But fortunately, Zoe Foster Blake wants to tip the scales in favour of some super positive stuff by sharing the deets on her delivery, the products she swears by, and how she found the post-baby-numero-two recovery process.
First up, she revealed that her second experience of childbirth was โawesomeโ and quite similar to her first.
โI feel tremendously lucky. I know how quickly things can get serious, and heavy, and how out of control it can all get in there for some mothers and babies, and I feel intensely fortunate to have had two positive births,โ the 37-year-old wrote.
โI went into spontaneous labour at 2:30am the day before my due date, had my waters broken at around 4cm, (7am), then laboured like a, well, mother, til I was about 7cm dilated. I used gas for pain relief and quite loved it.โ
After an hour it was time to push โ โLike youโre pooing!!โ according to her midwife โ and within 15 โvery athletic, intense, wonderful minutesโ Rudy was born.
โI really reckon the weeks of acupuncture, acupressure massage (and meditating) I did leading into birth helped a lot, both times. My body did a fantastic job, and so did my baby.โ
Zoe has been open about the Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction she suffered during her first pregnancy, which developed into a fractured pubis and osteitis pubis forcing her on to crutches from week 31 until delivery. She previously wrote about how pilates, osteopathy and a range of at-home exercises helped keep it bay, this time around.
And despite her positive pregnancy and childbirth experience, Zoe admitted there were some โdark daysโ around week six and seven.
โManaging a toddler, even a quite independent three year-old one, and trying to feed and settle a wailing baby at the same time threw me. The fact that two children need you constantly, and at exactly the same time, was an entirely new and wildly challenging experience.โ
โParenting is, without a lick of competition, the hardest thing Iโve ever done, and the hardest job there is. They were the toughest few weeks of my life, I reckon.โ
Zoe said she wasnโt anywhere near a diagnosis of postnatal depression, but likened her experience to postnatal depletion.
โBeing hormonally, physically, and emotionally depletedโฆ. Or in other words: being a mother. Getting mastitis repeatedly and wanting to run away and sleep for 12 days straight were pretty good clues.โ
Fortunately, she said she was lucky to have a smashing support network including a night nurse, which Zoe thoroughly recommends gifting other struggling mums.
Her post received thousands of thankful comments from mums-to-be, with many praising her for her honesty.
The beauty guru had plenty more stellar advice, which you can read here.

Theyโre notoriously private, but Mary-Kate Olsen, 31, and Olivier Sarkozy, 48, have made a rare public appearance together this week. The couple, who married in 2015 after three years together, attended the annual โTake Home A Nudeโ auction at Sothebyโs New York last night, rubbing shoulders with Naomi Watts, Helena Christensen, Chris Noth and Brooke Shields.
In true Olsen style, Mary-Kate dressed almost entirely in black, save for a pair of squeaky-clean kicks, and neither she or Sarkozy flashed a smile for the cameras.
Earlier this week, Olsenโs sister-in-law and former French first lady Carla Bruni opened up about the coupleโs unlikely relationship. โThey seem so happy,โ she told Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. โI met her at some cousinโs wedding and she looked adorable and very kind and also Olivier looks very happy with her.โ
Mary-Kate gave a glimpse of what her married life is like earlier this year in an interview for Net-A-Porterโs The Edit.
โI think weโre lucky [working hard] comes quite naturally for us. We donโt need so much time to sit and think and ponder. But then, I have a husband, two step-kids and a life; I have to go home and cook dinner. I ride horses on the weekends. You find the thing that helps you relax and if you donโt have it, you have to look for it. Or you get burned out and then youโre not productive.โ

Sophie Monk has hit back at The Bacheloretteโs latest eliminated contestant Sam Cochrane after his interview with KIIS FMโs Kyle and Jackie O this morning.
During his radio chat, Sam told the hosts that he and Sophie kissed but it was cut from the show. โIt was great, it was really great,โ he said.
Monk, who heard the interview, rang the show to explain what really happened.
โI gave him a rose and pecked him to be polite, and he goes, โcan I have a peck?โ and I said โthat was a peckโ and then he grabbed my head and kissed me and I didnโt really kiss him back,โ Monk told the radio hosts.
โIt made me feel really uncomfortable, so if they [producers] cut it out, thatโs why.โ
Monk continued, revealing more about why she kicked him off the show.
โHe was performing for the camerasโฆhe didnโt even look at me half the time,โ she said.
In Samโs original interview with Kyle and Jackie O, Jackie pointed out that one reason he was kicked off the show was because of how he spoke about Sophieโs โcansโ in the photoshoot episode.
Sam responded: โTwo nights before that [photo shoot] I was running around naked, and Sophie mentioned my package many times โฆ so I thought that was the level of communication we had.โ
When chatting to Kyle and Jackie herself, Sophie revealed thatโs not exactly what happened.
โNoI never did.NoI never did. When he was taking his clothes off I said โtake it off, take it offโโฆ then I said โput it back on, put it back on.โ

If you didnโt watch The Bachelorette last night, please fast forward to Apollo and Sophieโs date with puppies, watch it, then watch it again.
Done? Great, thatโs about all you need to see because the rest of the show is basically just Sam and Blake talking about how theyโre the frontrunners and โget roses.โ
Naturally, Sam and Blake were in the bottom two, with Soph getting both to beg for her affections before getting rid of Mr. Double Delight.
See the best Twitter reactions of the night below.
I would definitely date Apollo's arm and then probably cheat on it with Apollo's other arm #BacheloretteAU

Carrie Bickmore has shared exciting news with fans on social media, revealing her wonderful charity โCarrieโs Beanies 4 Brain Cancerโ has hit an impressive milestone.
The Projecthost took to Twitter to reveal that her charity beanies have smashed the original $1-million goal, and raised over $4.5-million for brain cancer research.
โ4.5 mil raised so far,โ she wrote. โTHANKYOU to all whoโve supported. Itโs a drop in the ocean for whatโs needed but weโll keep going#beatbraincancer.โ
Carrie founded the company following her 2015 Logies Acceptance speech, in which she wore a blue beanie and delivered a harrowing speech about the disease, which claimed the life of her husband Greg Lange in 2010.
โEvery five hours in Australia someone is diagnosed with brain cancer and eight out of 10 people who are diagnosed will die,โ she said in her moving speech. โEveryone thinks itโs this rare form of cancer. Itโs not. It kills more people under 40 than any other cancer. It kills more kids than any other disease. And it receives next to no funding, which is ludicrous.โ
Shortly after her speech, Carrie launched โBeanies 4 Brain Canerโ with the first huge fundraiser being the Brainbeats2015 concert, featuring Ed Sheeran and Passenger.
In January 2016, Carrie revealed the organisation had surpassed the $1million goal.
Later in 2016, Carrieโs first batch of 25,000 beanies went on sale and were quickly snapped up by celebrities and supporters alike. In 2017, they sold even more beanies in the new designs with only a handful of the gorgeous hats currently left for sale.

They were one of the coolest โ if not, unexpected โ couples in Hollywood, but it seems Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs were not meant to be. The pair, who began dating in September 2014 before becoming engaged seven months later, have reportedly called off their wedding after โgrowing apart.โ
The Sunreports that Robert ended the relationship, with a source telling the publication: โThey were almost inseparable for their first two years together,โ before drifting apart recently.
โRob is tired of it, has called off their engagement and told friends they have split. With so much ยญhistory between them, though, there are still strong feelings there,โ the source continued. โItโs a difficult situation but things have become tough between them for some time and they both know they were no longer working as a couple.โ
(Credit: Getty)
Speculation over their split has grown since July, when Robert gave abizarre radio interviewclaiming they were only โkind ofโ engaged.
Then, FKA Twigs stepped out at London Fashion Week in September without a band on her ring finger.

Sending love to Robert and FKA Twigs during this difficult time.

โI was called to meet Harvey Weinstein at the Savoy Hotel when I was 17,โ she wrote in an Instagram post.
โI assumed it would be in a conference room which was very common. When I arrived, reception told me to go to his room. He opened the door in his bathrobe.โ
โI was incredibly naive and young and it did not cross my mind that this older, unattractive man would expect me to have any sexual interest in him. After declining alcohol and announcing that I had school in the morning I left, uneasy but unscathed.โ
https://www.instagram.com/p/BaJiAhyn7Y5/
Kate went on to say that a few years after that incident, Harvey asked her whether he had โtried anythingโ with her that night. โI realised he couldnโt remember if he had assaulted me or not,โ she wrote.
โI said no to him professionally many times over the years โ some of which ended up with him screaming at me calling me a c*nt and making threats, some of which made him laughingly tell people oh โKate lives to say no to me,'โ she continued.
โIt speaks to the status quo in this business that I was aware that standing up for myself and saying no to things, while it did allow me to feel uncompromised in myself, undoubtedly harmed my career and was never something I felt supported by anyone other than my family. I would like to applaud the women who have come forward, and to pledge that we can from this create a new paradigm where producers, managers, executives and assistants and everyone who has in the past shrugged and said โwell, thatโs just Harvey /Mr X/insert name hereโ will realise that we in numbers can affect real change.โ
The 44-year-old also revealed that once her friend had tried to warn a young woman about Harvey, only to receive a call telling him he would never work another Miramax film โ โThe girl was already sleeping with Harvey and had told him that my friend had warned her off.โ

No longer reserved for after dark, street-style stars and celebs alike are throwing out the rule book and integrating sequins into their everyday wardrobes.
The spring 2018 runways were awash with the dazzling embellishment, but the current crop of shimmering styles is more relaxed than razzle dazzle, and will earn their keep in any wardrobe.
So how do you wear the high-shine trend without looking completely over-the-top? With a little know-how, itโs easy โ follow these rules and youโll be the best dressed on the street in no time.
1. Sequinned separates are a safe starting point for beginners โ team high-shine tops with black jeans and sneakers for a cool off-duty look, or pair with a minimalist mini or pencil skirt come cocktail hour.
2. To add a dose of shine to your wardrobe, look for pieces with sporadic sequins โ thanks to the clean-line cut and small-scale, high-shine embellishment can be dialed down into more casual territory.
3. Pair colour-blocked accessories with sequins to ensure your daywear is on point.

As well as celebrations, birthdays can trigger a review of the previous year and initiate new resolutions. Itโs a time when the Sun restores your confidence, giving you more certainty to pursue your chosen path. It should also be easier to pinpoint that elusive common ground between home, personal and professional interests โ and for some, the way opens for new romance, which could come parcelled with studies or retraining.
Aries (March 21 โ April 20)
Best Day: Sunday 15th
For a while now, youโve suffered uncertainty. But the universe never asks us to cope with situations weโre not ready for. So when this week brings you to a crisis point, you may be surprised at how well you handle the situation โ with confidence, and very little anxiety. Be proud.
Taurus (April 21 โ May 20)
Best Day: Friday 13th
Stay alert as the week could be laced with deception. Someone you donโt know very well may try to establish a closer friendship in order to extract a favour. This is fine as long as you know what the game is, and play by your own rules. If necessary, show this interloper the door.
Gemini (May 21 to June 21)
Best Day: Thursday 19th
If you have any sense of occasion, youโll be out having fun. The cosmos wastes no time in what could be a romantic gold rush, setting up introductions . Worse case scenario? You simply make some great new friends. The best? Meeting a special new someone who totally adores you.
Cancer (June 22 โ July 22)
Best Day: Tuesday 17th
Emotions overflow this week while hopes and dreams take on a confident feeling. Take your time to explore the potential of what is being offered. Although this is only the commencement of the journey โ thereโs excitement at the prospect of all that could now be possible. The planets also represent the beginning of something that you love to do.
Leo (July 23 โ August 23)
Best Day: Monday 16th
Career plans should soon come to fruition. Submitting to a behind-the-scenes role no longer suits your determined, ambitious Leo style โ and startled competitors will be caught off-guard as you take the lead. At home, however, itโs compromise that will promote peace.
Virgo (August 24 โ September 22)
Best Day: Sunday 15th
Youโve learned to trust your intuition, but donโt give in to the other extreme โ that is โselective hearingโ. Take good advice if offered. Youโre not alone in this world, Virgo โ so if need be, call for help. Youโll be surprised at how supportive friends and family can be.
Libra (September 23 โ October 23)
Best Day: Saturday 14th
Not all negotiations proceed smoothly this week โ particularly if youโre pushed into overload. If challenged, try not to exaggerate the situation or facts, as the naked truth has a way of stripping down lies. Step cautiously, Libra. Avoid conflict, if you can.
Scorpio (October 24 โ November 22)
Best Day: Friday 13th
Put the week to good use, Scorpio. The cosmos boosts your communication skills, and also helps to lighten the load. The timeโs also right to forge new romance or friendships. All thatโs needed is for to you shelve unnecessary fears. A time for positive action.
Sagittarius (November 23 โ December 21)
Best Day: Monday 16th
In a fair world, you wouldnโt get this weekโs disruptive planetary line-up. Fortunately, all things move on โ so faith and money are bound to come out of their tail spin soon. Youโre not being targeted, Sagittarius. Troubles can happen to anyone, and invariably do.
Capricorn (December 22 โ January 20)
Best Day: Tuesday 17th
Conflict seems the norm this week. Perhaps ideals have been a smidgen on the upper side โ asking too much of yourself or others. To avoid explosive emotions, try not to get your wires crossed. Make sure you know all of the facts before hitting the detonator.
Aquarius (January 21 โ February 18)
Best Day: Wednesday 18th
This week is all about pushing past intimidating barriers. The reward? Increased happiness. Ditto for cash flow. Communication and travel also feature highly. But itโs not all work and no play. If anything, a romantic bonus coincides with professional activities.
Pisces (February 19 โ March 20)
Best Day: Saturday 14th
Itโs not a week for fence-sitting. A hard ask as, right now, it seems that every decision leads to yet another option. Choose your direction, and stick with it. Best news? Great love can happen in an instant. Someone special could gently stroll into your life.

Itโs rare to find an eye cream without a price tag that doesnโt literally make your eyes water โ those precious little pots are often among the most expensive products in our bathroom cupboards (including the actual cupboard). But what if we told you one of the most popular eye creams on the market will give you change from $50?
At $47, the Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream is one of the more cost-effective weโve come across โ but that isnโt the only thing in its favour. Three sell every five seconds, itโs the brandโs top-selling product in Australia, itโs made from natural ingredients and itโs free from synthetic fragrance. Did we mention itโs been shown to stimulate collagen production in human skin cells by up to 82 per cent? Thereโs also that.
The Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream is a blend of kiwi seed oil (rich in omega-3s and Vitamins C and E), avocado oil, carrot seed oil and aloe gel. Itโs said to restore damaged skin tissue, hydrate and protect, but weโll be the judge of that: keep your eyes peeled for our review, coming soon.

We all have that one friend who tells it like it is and who isnโt afraid to speak their mind โ even if what theyโre saying isnโt exactly what you want to hear. Yep, you know who you are.
But, according to new research, these โmeanโ friends are actually the ones you want to keep around.
These people may sometimes cause you โnegative emotional experiences that they believe would ultimately helpโ in the long run, says the study published inPsychological Science.
โWe have shown that people can be โcruel to be kindโ โ that is, they may decide to make someone feel worse if this emotion is beneficial for that other person, even if this does not entail any personal benefit for them,โ psychological scientist Belรฉn Lรณpez-Pรฉrez, a lead researcher on the study, explained.
โWe identified several everyday examples where this might be the case,โ he continued. โFor instance, inducing fear of failure in a loved one who is procrastinating instead of studying for an exam.โ
So next time your I-donโt-beat-around-the-bush pal tries to give you advice, maybe try listening to it.

She somehow managed to drag herself to a formal event while suffering from debilitating hyperemesis gravidarum, but pregnant Kate Middleton has come under fire from social media users, who think she should be showing a bigger baby bump.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined industry leaders from across the country at Buckingham Palace for World Mental Health Day, with a royal aide confirming to Hello! that โthe Duchessโs condition is improving but she is still suffering.โ Nevertheless, they said she was โdelightedโ to attend.
After Kensington Palace posted photos from the occasion on Instagram, the reaction was swift โ and in some cases, scathing.
One user called her โan emaciated, severely malnourished anorexicโ, while many questioned whether the Duchess actually is pregnant, taking aim at her weight and the fact that she looked well.
Happily, others commended the Duchess for making the effort to attend such a worthy cause, despite her condition.
For the occasion, The Duchess wore a pale blue lace dress by Temperley London (which is still available to shop) and black stilettos, paired with a black clutch.

Less than two weeks after the exciting news of Bachelor in Paradise coming to Australia, Channel Nine has revealed that popular UK reality show Love Island will also hit our screens in 2018.
So what exactly is Love Island? Often described as The Bachelor-meets-Big Brother, the aim of the show is to throw a bunch of single people on an island and test them to see if theyโre there for love or for money.
Like the Bachie intruders, Love Island drops new contestants in as the weeks go by, with viewers (thatโs right โ you over there) getting to vote on whoโs sent home.
The final couple standing takes home a cash prize, but โ just to really mix things up โ right at the end, one half of the couple is given the option to keep the prize to themselves, or to split it with their soulmate.
Australiaโs version will take place on an island in Spain with applications open now.

The DNA of Swedish inventor Peter Madsen, who is accused of killing and dismembering journalist Kim Wall, will be checked against a string of cold cases.
Swedish police announced they would reopen unsolved killings to test against Madsenโs DNA, and Norwegian authorities will also request a sample.
According to The Independent, Norwayโs National Criminal Investigation Service said it was standard procedure.
In Denmark, cold-cases are also being reexamined, including the death and dismemberment of a 22-year-old Japanese tourist. The touristโs body was discovered in Copenhagen harbour in 1986.
Last week, a court heard that Madsen had video footage showing women being violently killed on his computer.
Prosecutor Jakob Buch-Jepsen told a Copenhagen court that officers had found images โwhich we presume to be realโ of women being strangled and beheaded on his computer, the ABC reports. Authorities do not believe Madsen is responsible for filming the videos.
Inventor and submarine owner Madsen claimed that the computer was not his and was used by a number of staff at his Copenhagen workshop.
Prosecutors revealed that an ongoing post-mortem found the journalist had been stabbed 15 times, although her exact cause of death is yet to be determined. The court also heard that DNA matching Wallโs was found under Madsenโs fingernails.
Madsen has claimed Wall died accidentally, saying she was hit by a hatch cover on his submarine.
โI lose my foothold and the hatch shuts,โ the inventor told the Copenhagen court last month. He said the journalist was then knocked on the ground.
โThere was a pool of blood where she had landed.โ
Asked why he threw Ms Wall overboard, Madsen told the court: โโIn the shock I was in, it was the right thing to do,โ the BBC reports.
Ms Wall disappeared after she boarded Mr Madsenโs home-made submarine on August 10. Ms Wallโs boyfriend alerted police when the reporter didnโt arrive home, after boarding the ship for what was supposed to be just a few hours for a story.
Police identified the torso of a woman they found on August 21 in Danish waters, south of Copenhagen, as Ms Wall.
The body was missing its head, arms and legs.
The court ordered that Mr Madsen undertake a psychiatric evaluation and that he be kept in custody for four weeks.

However, when Ben Affleck took to Twitter saying he was โsaddened and angryโ by the allegations against Weinstein, who he worked with on the film Good Will Hunting, actress Rose McGown, who took Weinstein to court over a sexual assault incident, quickly branded him a โliar.โ
โโGODDAMNIT! I TOLD HIM TO STOP DOING THATโ you said that to my face,โ Rose wrote in the tweet directed at Affleck. โYou lie.โ
A Twitter user then recalled Affleck grabbing TV host Hilarie Burtonโs breast in a 2003 interview. โHe also grabbed Hilarie Burtonโs breasts on TRL once. Everyone forgot though.โ
The post prompted a reply from the former One Tree Hill star and MTV host, who wrote: โI didnโt forget.โ
Hilarie then reshared the video of the incident which shows Affleck saying โItโs so nice to see you!โ before walking over to hug her. โAnd he wraps his arm around me and comes over and tweaks my left boob!โ she recalls. Later, Affleck asks Burton, โWhat are you, 19?โ
โSome girls like a good tweakage here and there, Iโd rather have a high-five,โ Hilarie says in the clip.
โGirls. Iโm so impressed with you brave ones. I had to laugh back then so I wouldnโt cry. Sending love,โ she wrote above the video.

He was swiftly eliminated after coming off like an ever-so-slightly crazed fan in what was to be his final episode, but The Bacheloretteโs Mackane โMackโ Reid is in high spirits: despite not winning his long-held celebrity crushโs heart, he made โ10-15 brothers out of the experience.โ
The 35-year-old small business owner says he knew his time was nigh, and was shocked at every rose ceremony when Sophie called his name. โI could see from the beginning she had a real spark in her eyes with some of the other guys, and it felt as if we werenโt that compatible,โ he admits. โI think she held me there for our friendship.โ
The strongest friendships, however, were forged in the Zen Den. โIโm really close to Jimmy, Luke and Apollo โ we were all in the same room at one stage and we called it the Zen Den,โ he says. โWe meditated, we were the ones who werenโt afraid to express our love for one another. We were the spiritual crew.โ
Mack also names Brett, Sam, Blake and Ryan as his close mates on the show. โTheyโre all friends for life,โ he says. And while heโd love to see Jimmy win (who wouldnโt?), heโs with the rest of us on Stu: โYou could tell as soon as he jumped out of the chopper.โ
Probably since I saw her movie, I think itโs called Date Movie, she was in a little itty bitty bikini and I just thought, wow. I was smitten. And that crush is rather embarrassing, it makes me look like a little school boy, but how could you not be smitten by her? Sheโs got some great characteristics, sheโs got great banter and sheโs incredibly good-looking.
On what we didnโt see
What was not shown last night is when she takes me out of the rose ceremony, she gave me heaps of compliments, she said, โIโve got a friend in you now, Mack,โ and I was very touched by that. Iโm the luckiest guy alive โ I can call Sophie Monk one of my good friends.
On that awkward fan-girl moment:
In that last episode Iโm a blubbering mess, I come across as the awkward nervous guy, but I would like to consider myself a gentleman and Iโve got a lot to give. In that one-on-one, they didnโt show me talking about my past, Sophie asked if Iโd ever been cheated on because she said she felt that Iโd been hurt before. They didnโt show me taking about family at all, Iโm a very family-oriented man, and they didnโt show me giving her a crystal that my sister had given me to give to her. There was lots that didnโt make it to air.
Iโd definitely do it again, the only regrets I have is not really coming out of my shell. The first two weeks I had a lot of anxiety, a lot of nervous energy, Iโd like to think that I donโt suffer anxiety but I really did in the house. For the first two weeks I think I had four sleepless nights and it completely screwed with my mental state.
I learnt two massive things in my time on the mansion โ I need to be near the ocean and I need to communicate with females โ nothing to do with sex, more about just being able to communicate with females on a daily basis. Iโve realised that I need to have that communication.
On Jarrod
Heโs unique obviously, he didnโt gel with everyone in the house, and I was probably one of them. I had a lot of respect for Jarrod in the first couple of weeks and then a few things made me question his personality. I donโt think they were bullying him, I think he maybe brought that on himself somewhat, because of his aggressive nature. But in his defence, he doesnโt hold a grudge, and he was obviously there for the right reasons.

Two days on from the tragic death of a woman who fell from the 23rd floor of her apartment in Sydney, new information has come to light about her life and relationships.
The woman, identified as 34-year-old Hee Kyung Choi, was a finance worker who had been dating Korean-born tiler June Oh Seo for several weeks, news.com.aureports.
Following her death, Mr Seo perched on the edge of the apartment building in Chatswood, sparking a 12-hour standoff with police.
Court documents allege that Mr Seo assaulted Ms Choi in the early hours of Monday morning. He has been formally refused bail on a charge of domestic violence-related assault occasioning actual bodily harm and remains behind bars.

According to The Daily Telegraph,Ms Choi had reportedly threatened to leave her boyfriend after she discovered he was already married. Mr Seo was estranged from his wife and also had a son.
Ms Choiโs friend Moossoo Yoon told the publication that she had seemed โvery strong and positive when I spoke to her on Thursdayโ.
โI told her she was now of the marrying age and she said there was someone but it was complicated and she wasnโt happy,โ Ms Yoon said.
โShe had rowed with him over that the day she died.โ

Every day more sexual harassment allegations against Harvey Weinstein are surfacing. Just yesterday, both Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow came forward detailing incidents with the film producer.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Cara says Weinstein called her to ask about her sexual preferences. He asked if โI had slept with any of the women I was seen out with in the media.โ
โIt was a very odd and uncomfortable call,โ said the model turned actress, whodescribes herself as sexually fluid. โI answered none of his questions and hurried off the phone but before I hung up, he said to me that If I was gay or decided to be with a woman especially in public that Iโd never get the role of a straight woman or make it as an actress in Hollywood.โ
https://www.instagram.com/p/BaHc485FRVx/
โA year or two later, I went to a meeting with him in the lobby of a hotel with a director about an upcoming film. The director left the meeting and Harvey asked me to stay and chat with him. As soon as we were alone he began to brag about all the actresses he had slept with and how he had made their careers and spoke about other inappropriate things of a sexual nature. He then invited me to his room,โ the actress wrote.
โI quickly declined and asked his assistant if my car was outside. She said it wasnโt and wouldnโt be for a bit and I should go to his room. At that moment I felt very powerless and scared but didnโt want to act that way hoping that I was wrong about the situation. When I arrived I was relieved to find another woman in his room and thought immediately I was safe. He asked us to kiss and she began some sort of advances upon his direction.โ
Cara revealed that her first thought was to ask if she could sing. โI thought it would make the situation better, more professional, like an audition.โ
โAfter singing I said again that I had to leave. He walked me to the door and stood in front of it and tried to kiss me on the lips. I stopped him and managed to get out of the room.โ
โI still got the part for the film and always thought that he gave it to me because of what happened. Since then I felt awful that I did the movie. I felt like I didnโt deserve the part. I was so hesitant about speaking outโฆ.I didnโt want to hurt his family. I felt guilty as if I did something wrong. I was also terrified that this sort of thing had happened to so many women I know but no one had said anything because of fear.โ

The perfect alcohol for all your upcoming summer events is about to be released.
Celebrating with a glass (or two, or three) of sparkling without a hangover. The dream, right?
Well, UK supermarket chain Lidl is about to release an organic, hangover free Prosecco which will cost just 7.99 pounds ($13.50 AUD).
So why donโt you get a hangover after drinking the drop? The wine has lower levels of sulphite which is commonly used in wine to keep it fresh, but also leaves drinkers with a painful headache the next day.
โGenerally, organic wine producers use a lower level of sulphites in the production process, which means they are less likely to contribute to hangovers,โ Lidlโs master of wine, Richard Bampfield, told Metro.
The major catch is that the Lidl prosecco obviously isnโt available in Australia. However, there are a number of organic, low sulphite wines on the market here.

Luke McLeod is the George Clooney look-alike that Australia fell for on the Bachelorette Australia.
The Manly local spoke toInStyle Australiaabout last nightโs elimination from the show, shedding some light on one of the seriesโ most unforeseen moments so far!
โThere are obviously moments that happen off camera that obviously contribute to making the decision that she did,โ McLeod admits.
โI was quite cautious with my emotions while some of the other guys were fairly open, and told her how they really felt about her and I didnโt really get that opportunity.โ
The 33-year-old, who is currently single, also confesses that Sophieโs obvious chemistry with Stu Laundy, 44, was a contributing factor in his dwindling relationship with Sophie.
โAnd then these other guys rock up and you could see that Sophie had a connection with one of the guys and that frustrated me a bit, and Sophie noticed that and picked up on a few things and I think to save heartbreak later on it might be best to say goodbye when we did.โ

โWe are really good mates and when we both found out what we had just gone through โ itโs worked out amazing for her sheโs with an awesome guy and sheโs been so supportive of me in the whole process,โ he said.

Ms Dowsley, 34, set off on a day hike near Statali Falls in British Colombia with her Canadian partner, Gregory James Tiffin, 44, on July 10. Alarm bells were raised after they failed to return home, and Mr Tiffinโs body was found at a dangerous waterfall near Harrison Lake 12 days later, The ABC reports.
Ms Dowsleyโs sunglasses were discovered nearby, but her body evaded Canadian search teams until September 23. The Age reports that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, together with volunteer search and rescue teams, discovered her remains thanks to low water levels in the treacherous waterfall canyons where the couple had been hiking.
The discovery of Ms Dowsleyโs body was made public this week, after her identity was officially confirmed.
โDiscovery of Sophieโs remains brings closure, not only for family and friends, but for the volunteers who were heavily invested in finding Sophie,โ said Neil Brewer, search and rescue manager. โThis was a difficult search in very technical terrain.โ

A US mother will spend the rest of her life behind bars after she was found guilty of drowning her two youngest daughters two years ago.
According to authorities, Jokeera Viola Morgan drowned 19-month old Zyra and 8-month old Savannah in a plastic washtub in her home on Oct. 6, 2015.
The Savannah Morning News reports that evidence showed the mother undressed one of her daughters and held her in a tub of water until she stopped moving. She then did the same with the other child before calling 911.
An autopsy confirmed the two young girls died by drowning.
As PEOPLE reports, Morgan was found guilty but mentally ill of malice murder by drowning. The 28-year-old will receive mental health treatment at a state prison.

During the trial, the prosecution and defence argued over whether the mother understood the morality of her actions.
Morganโs attorney, Todd Martin, told jurors that the mother had a history of mental illness and had received treatment in hospital in the past. Her two older children had also been removed from her care.
โWhen she killed her children, she didnโt know right from wrong,โ Martin said. โShe thought she was doing the right thing.โ
But prosecutor Jenny Guyer told the court: โThe defendant knew when she murdered her babies that it was wrong.โ

Darker: Fifty Shades Darker as Told by Christian will beon bookshelves in both the US and UK on November 28th, with Australiaโs release date to follow.

Last year, in honour of Anaโs birthday on September 10th, James released two pages from the new book, detailing Christianโs thoughts as he sat outside Anaโs work.
โI sit. Waiting. My heart is thumping. Itโs 5:36 and I stare through the tinted glass of my Audi at the front door of her building. I know Iโm early, but Iโve been looking forward to this moment all day,โ it begins.
As well as this new book, the Fifty Shades Freed movie is released worldwide on Feb. 9, 2018.

She once called for everyone to โstop bullyingโ Donald Trump, and now Lindsay Lohan has come out in support of Harvey Weinstein, posting a bizarre Instagram story that appeared to be filmed from her bathroom.
โI feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now,โ Lohan begins. โI donโt think itโs right, whatโs going on.โ
โHeโs never harmed me or did anything to me โ weโve done several movies together,โ she continues. โI think everyone needs to stop, I think itโs wrong. So stand up.โ
Lohan adds that Weinsteinโs wife, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, ought to โtake a stand and be there for her husband.โ
The bizarre video has since been deleted from Lohanโs account, but is still widely circulating the internet (see above). It includes the name โHarveyโ in pink text with a halo emoji below it.
Lohan has starred in two Weinstein Company movies, Bobby and Scary Movie 5, Variety reports.

Rihanna is one of the best selling artists of all time; hence her face is instantly recognisable around the world.
For that reason when an Instagram user who looks uncannily similar to our favourite bombshell superstar was discovered, Rihanna fans went wild.
Model and beauty influencer, Andele Lara has broken the Internet, being described as the spitting image of RihRih.
The model first sparked interest when YouTube makeup artist, Patrick Starrr posted a selfie with her captioning it, โAny Wild Wild Thoughts on what I filming with my model @andelelara ?? Thanks @fentybeautyโ. There is no denying Laraโs green eye, lips and even face shape are shockingly similar to that of Rihannaโs.
A quick scroll through her Instagram, @andelelara will confirm that the beauty entrepreneur does indeed look surprisingly similar to the singer and seems to have a little of bad gal sass too.

Researchers in the US have found having an epidural does not slow down labour for pregnant women, contrary to popular belief.
The new study, which examined more than 400 first time mothers, concluded that epidural painkilling medication had no effect on the time it took for the women to deliver their child, The Telegraph reports.
The research was published in the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology from researchers from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston in the US.
Researchers compared the effects of low-concentration epidural anaesthetic with a saline placebo on the study participants, news.com.au reports.
โWe found that exchanging the epidural anaesthetic with a saline placebo made no difference in the duration of the second stage of labour,โ Senior author Professor Philip Hess said.
โNot even the pain scores were statistically different between groups. However, pain scores in women receiving the saline placebo increased over time, as would be expected.โ
(Credit: Getty)
As The Conversation reports, women who have an epidural have on average a 14 minute longer second stage of labour. The second stage begins when the cervix is fully dilated.
Professor Hess acknowledged that his teamโs findings required further investigation.
โWe didnโt see any negative effects, but epidural analgesia in the second stage of labour remains controversial and merits follow up studies,โ he said.

Khloรฉ KardashianandKylie Jenner are both reportedly pregnant with their first child, due early next year. But similar due dates and shared copies of โWhat To Expect When Youโre Expectingโ isnโt all the sisters have in common right now. It seems the girls have committed to identical beauty regimes for the duration of their pregnancies, if their latest social media posts are anything to go by.
In a new photo shared on Khloรฉโs Snapchat, the pair look like identical twins with long blonde waves, minimal eye makeup and bold nude lips.
In September, the world struggled to keep up asKhloรฉ , Kylie and their sister Kim Kardashian, were all reported to be expecting babies.
While Khloรฉ is expecting with her NBA player boyfriend Tristan Thompson, and Kylie is pregnant to her rapper boyfriend Travis Scott, Kim has confirmed she is expecting her third child with husband Kanye West via surrogate.
โThey are looking at it like a unifying experience for them as sisters,โ a source told PEOPLE. โGetting pregnant at the same time was totally unplanned but they are really happy about it.โ

If you know anything about fashion, youโll know that Karl Lagerfeld is a man who needs no introduction.
At the helm of two of the worldโs biggest brands, Chanel and Fendi, as well as designing his namesake label, Lagerfeld turns anything he touches into gold (read: must-have sell out items).
With personalisation at an all-time high in the accessory world (thanks to the likes of monogramming), Lagerfeld listened: designing a range of customisable Fendi Timepieces.
Inspired by the Strap You collection of shoulder straps for handbags (see above), the new Selleria Strap You watch range allows wearers to easily interchange their wrist straps.
The Selleria Strap You collection includes seven different strap versions in various colours (including our favouite, millennial pink), as well as flowers and studs.
Fendi counts models of the moment, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid as fans of the brand, so no doubt it wonโt be long โtil the girls sport matching (or not) custom watches.

After fans of the Bachie franchise collectively lost their minds over the news that the first ever Australian โBachelor In Paradiseโ is slated for our screens next year, yet another former contestant has denounced the new show: crowd favourite Nikki Gogan.
After rumours were rife that she would appear in the show, particularly after she was spotted filming what looked suspiciously like a promo at a Sydney beach, Gogan clarified her future plans on Instagram.
โI was lucky enough to be in Sydney a few weeks back to film a television commercial, not a Bach in Paradise promo,โ she writes. โMy idea of paradise is relaxing with my family and friends โ laughing, joking and just having a lovely time together (a glass of bubbles in hand while looking out over some form of water body is preferred but not a necessity.โ
โIโm doing my best to live my paradise right here. Right now. I wish anyone that chooses to go on Bach in Paradise all the very, very best, but I wonโt be joining them,โ she adds.

Sydney nurse and newlywed Kelly Clarke and husband Chase jetted off to Fiji to attend a friendโs wedding and to celebrate their own honeymoon.
But the coupleโs trip ended in heartbreak when Kelly was taken to hospital after falling ill on Wednesday, with what was initially diagnosed as typhoid fever. The 24-year-oldโs family confirmed the heartbreaking news that Kelly did not survive the ordeal. As Nine News reports, the young nurse died from severe bilateral pneumonia and died in hospital on Friday night.
Now, Kellyโs husband Chase has spoken out about the heartbreaking ordeal of identifying her body from a hospital shipping container.
โIt was disgusting, they put her body in a refrigerated shipping container and I pulled the sheet off her head and saw her lying there with other bodies on shelves,โ he told The Daily Telegraph.
โThatโs not something I ever envisaged doing, that image is now in my mind.
โIt was disgusting, hospitals there are not quite third world but conditions are basic.โ
After her death, Kellyโs parents flew to Fiji to make arrangements for her body and support her husband. Her body was then transported from Fiji to Sydney Airport.
Chase told The Daily Telegraph earlier in the week that he was โcompletely and utterly devastatedโ and that Kellyโs death came โas a complete shockโ.
โWhen weโre stronger we will reveal the complete causes of death but severe bilateral pneumonia is the main one,โ he said.

โKelly is a wonderful kind soul, the last thing you expect on your honeymoon is to lose your wife, she had her whole life ahead of her,โ Chase continued.
โWe just want her home, itโs a waiting game for us now, weโre just shocked and devastated and canโt explain how we feel.
โI just feel numb.โ
A spokeswoman for The Childrenโs Hospital at Westmead said Kellyโwho worked as a post-operative nurseโwould be sorely missed.
โKelly was a dedicated nurse who loved working with children and will be greatly missed by her colleagues and patients,โ the spokeswoman said.
A GoFundMe page has been created for the Clarke family. You can donate here.

Sophie Monk has made a Bachie Blunder of epic proportions this morning, accidentally letting slip the winner of The Bachelorette during a chat with KIIS FMโs Kylie and Jackie O.
In typical Kyle and Jackie O fashion, however, the radio show bleeped out the name with a censor because they apparentlywant to ruin spoilers for us all.
Immediately after she revealed the winner, Kyle asked: โAre you sure thatโs the right decision?โ While Jackie said โI get a good vibe off him.โ
Kyle also asked about their sex life โ because heโs Kyle โ and he asked Sophie if the winner was โthe best lover youโve ever had.โ
Itโs widely rumoured that the man who has stolen the starโs heart is millionaire Stu Laundy. The latest clue coming from a suspicious Instagram post.
Sophie is currently hiding out in Thailand to avoid being spotted with the winner and โspoiling the show.โ Perhaps no more radio interviews then, Soph?

Heโs the man who co-founded Miramax and produced iconic films such as Pulp Fiction, Shakespeare in Love and Silver Linings Playbook, but now Harvey Weinstein has been fired from his own production company, abandoned by key members of his legal team and crushed under the weight of sexual harassment allegations spanning three decades.
Gwyneth was 22 when she was hired by Weinstein to star in Emma. โBefore shooting began, he summoned her to his suite at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for a work meeting,โ she revealed in a new report by the New York Times. โIt ended with Mr. Weinstein placing his hands on her and suggesting they head to the bedroom for massages, she said.โ
Gwyneth refused his advances, however, says she โwas petrified.โ She revealed she told Brad Pitt what had happened (her boyfriend at the time whom she dated from 1994-1997) and he confronted Weinstein. Weinstein then threatened Paltrow not to tell anyone else.
โI thought he was going to fire me,โ she said.
Angelina Jolie told the New York Times that she โhad a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth,โ revealing he โmade unwanted advances on her in a hotel room, which she rejected.โ
As a result, Jolie โchose never to work with him again and warn others when they did.โ
โThis behaviour towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable,โ the actress finished.
Harvey Weinstein and Gwyneth Paltrow, 2002
Weinstein, who is yet to be charged, has released a statement of apology and says he is seeking therapy.
โI came of age in the โ60s and โ70s, when all the rules about behaviour and workplaces were different. That was the culture then. I have since learned itโs not an excuse, in the office โ or out of it.โ You donโt say.
