BBC has issued an apology following a live broadcast with Orlando Bloom during which the actor uttered a racial slur.
Bloom was being interviewed on the popular show Radio 1, when the host Nick Grimshaw asked him about performing his own stunts on the upcoming movie Unlocked.
The actor replied, โIโm still a pikey from Kent, boy. Iโm still a pikey from Kent. You donโt want to get on the wrong side of me, boy.โ
The word โpikeyโ, is well known in the U.K. as a derogatory word used to describe a gypsy or traveller.
Messages must have immediately flooded into the station, as at the end of the broadcast Grimshaw said, โSo good to have Orlando Bloom on the showโฆ heโs a bit of a loose cannon. Apologies if you were offended by anything that Orlando may have said.โ
Since then, BBC has issued a formal statement saying, โAs with any live broadcast, we take great care to ensure all guests are briefed about their language before going on air.โ
โWe apologised to listeners afterwards for any offence caused.โ
The actor has also since released his own statement, saying, โIโve come from Kent and I grew up with a lot of, like, freewheeling, cool, interesting characters like that.โ
โI certainly wasnโt taking a slant at that at all. Iโm very respectful.โ

In the months following her robbery in Paris, Kim Kardashian has kept a low profile โ low for someone who is one of the most famous faces in the world, anyway.
The reality TV star took a break from social media and from the spotlight for a few months, before returning and talking about the ordeal on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Now, the 36-year-old has revealed even more details about the horrific crime, saying she now knows the robbers had been following her for two years.
Talking to Ellen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show,Kim says she โdoesnโt want to cry anymore,โ and that she knows it sounds crazy but the robbery โwas meant to happen to me.โ
She went on to explain, โI really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things.โ
โI was definitely materialistic before, not that thereโs anything bad with having things and working hard to get those things. Iโm really proud of everyone around me thatโs successful.โ
โBut Iโm so happy that my kids get this me, that this is who I am raising my kids. I just donโt care about that stuff anymore.
โOf course when you get engaged youโre going to show off your ring, if you get a car โ no matter what it is โ you feel really proud and you might show it off on social media.โ
โIโm not here to show off the way that I used to. Itโs just not who I am anymore.โ
Recalling the events in Paris, Kim said, โAutomatically, your stomach drops, itโs a feeling you just canโt describe. I said a prayer, I said I know Iโm going to heaven, I hope my kids and my husband are OK.โ
Breaking down again, she continued, โIt does happen really fast, it was a good seven or eight minutes of torture, but when I look back and I analyse it, it could have been worse.โ
โThey werenโt really aggressive, it could have been way worse so I donโt want to sound like Iโm not grateful. Iโm out, Iโm home, Iโm safe. Iโm such a better person. Letโs move on.โ

Phoebe Tonkin and Paul Wesley reportedly ended their four-year relationship back in March but if Instagram is anything to go by โ and we all know it definitely is โ the pair are now back together.
Itโs been just over a month since the alleged breakup, during which the couple have been spotted together numerous times.
However, with no official announcement from either of them, itโs been hard to pick whether the spottings meant they had reunited for good, or were just keeping things (super) friendly.
Finally, Phoebe has Insta-confirmed that love lives on, after posting an adorable pic of Paul in the back of a car.
The post was captioned, โResting life dilemma face ๐โ, with Paulโs Instagram handle tagged in the photo.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BTWkUQHh0ad/
Naturally, Phoebeโs followers are in a full-blown frenzy, writing on the photo comments such as, โI am screaming you are back together!โ, and, โbest couple in the world.โ
We donโt know about you, but we couldnโt be happier about this news.

Fashion is funny world sometimes: on one hand, youโve got double-breasted navy blazers, embellished pink silk kitten heels, and voluminous organza skirts; on the other, there are jeans that unzip at the butt, $300 Sonic Youth t-shirts and pre-mudded jeans.
In a move that has the world scratching its head, Topshop has released a pair of jeans that are made from 100 percent polyurethane. Read: Theyโre entirely transparent.
This move comes just a month after the release of their clear knee mum jeans, which had social media in a frenzy. Weird game plan here, guys.
Touted as โstatement piece for a festival or costume party,โ the pants are styled on the website with black, boyleg undies, and the label encourages buyers to โtake the look to the extreme with a bikini and sequin jacket or dress down, layered under an oversized jumper or asymmetric hem dress.โ The kicker? They retail for $100.
However, they do present an opportunity to wipe your hands on your clothes after saucy meal. So, the juryโs out on this one.

The shows made it official: โ80s-tastic make-up is back in a big way. But try as we might, we just couldnโt envisage bright colours working beyond the runway. Until now.
When Blake Lively shone at the Time 100 Gala last night, it wasnโt her bohemian dress that blew us away, but her orange eyeshadow. Believe us, weโre as surprised as you are.
Surprisingly flattering, the wash of orange on Livelyโs lids accentuated her gorgeous golden glow, and added warmth to her whole beauty look.
Lively isnโt the only Hollywood entity embracing the vivid shade: Jessica Alba teamed pinky-orange eyes with nude lips last week (matched with a bright orange top, no less) and Selena Gomez opted for a shimmering orange take on the smoky eye for the premiere of her Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.
Back in January, bonafide beauty Emily Ratajkowski boasted burnt orange eyeshadow at the Golden Globes, expertly applied by celebrity make-up artist Hung Vanngo.
To DIY, we suggest sticking to peachy shades of the spectrum and a more matte finish. Try blending with your bronzer to add a touch of golden glimmer and a more natural overall effect.

Samantha Bryan was sitting in her classroom researching a school project at age 14 when she found out her father, Ian Huntley, was a murderer.
Huntley is currently serving 40 years in jail for murdering schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, both 10, in Soham, England, in 2002.
In 2003, Ian Huntley was convicted of the murders of schoolgirls, Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, allegedly in a jealous rage.
Fifteen years after the horrific murders, Huntleyโs estranged daughter has spoken about the moment she discovered his chilling past in a new documentary called Sohan Revisited: 15 Years On.
โI found out through school. We were doing the crime rates in Grimsby and Cleethorpes [suburbs] โ so thatโs all I put into Google and the picture of my mum came up so I clicked on it which took me straight to the story,โ she said, reports The Sun.
Detectives confirmed two bodies found in a remote grassy area belonged to Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman on August 17, 13 days after they went missing.
In an interview on Good Morning Britain, Samantha, now 18, said she was upset when she found out. โI was more shocked because I wasnโt expecting it to happen. It did upset me for a very long time afterwards,โ she said.
โI wasnโt angry at my mum for not telling me what heโd done because at that age I wouldnโt want my children to know that,โ Samantha added about her mum Katie Bryan who first met Huntley when she was 15.
Katie Bryan was abused, repeatedly raped and force fed cat food for two years by Huntley before she eventually fled when she was pregnant with Samantha.
Katie Bryan and her daughter Samantha speaking for the first time about Ian Huntleyโs chilling legacy.
At three months pregnant, Huntley punched Katie in the stomach, raped her and threw her down stairs in a fit of rage. โI thought to myself, thatโs it, Iโve got to protect my baby because heโs going to end up killing her,โ she said.
Samantha says she will never meet her biological father. โThe way I feel towards him? It makes me angry. It upsets me to know what heโs done and how many people heโs affected,โ she said.

Pippa Middletonโs wedding is now less than a month away, so of course, the 33-year-old is amping up her regular fitness routine and focusing on her diet to ensure sheโs in the best shape of her life while walking down the aisle.
The most talked about nuptials of the year are taking place on May 20th St Markโs Church, Englefield, where Pippa will marry James Matthews, with Prince George and Princess Charlotte both in the official wedding party.
Diet wise, Pippa is always pretty healthy. She eats three meals a day and focuses on wholegrain, energy-fuelled carbohydrates.
โI also increase my portion sizes based on my training level, with lots of brown rice, lentils, quinoa and sweet potato, and for breakfast, porridge and rye toast,โ she says.
(Credit: Getty)
โI donโt get fussy, though, because I enjoy food too much. But a week or so before an event โ (weโre sure her wedding qualifies) โ Iโm quite conscious of eating really nutritious foods to store energy and I cut out alcohol, refined sugar and processed foods,โ she told HELLO!
Pippa is also a fan of the SirtFood Diet, which was introduced to her by her former trainer Pete Geracimo, who has also trained Adele and Kim Catrall.
The diet consists of two phases focused around incorporating 20 fat burning SirtFoods into a diet. The website describes the first two weeks asโ
โPHASE 1 This lasts for seven days. During the first three days, you should have three sirtfood green juices and one full meal rich in sirtfoods โ a total of 1,000 calories. On days four to seven, you should increase your calorie intake to 1,500 by having two green juices and two meals daily.
PHASE 2 This 14-day maintenance phase is intended to help you lose weight steadily. You can eat three balanced sirtfood-rich meals every day, plus one green juice.โ
Fitness wise, the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge has been attending exclusive fitness centre and private club KX Gym in Chelsea, where she does various classes including pilates, E! News reports.
However, with a marathon already under her belt, a cross-country ski race across Norway, a Swiss Alps mountain climb, and a 4,800km cycle across the U.S.A., sheโs probably definitely in pretty good shape already.

Itโs official: the world has gone mad for face masks. So much so that masking has become a regular part of many a womanโs weekly routine.
But Immunocologieโs Vital Clay face mask, available exclusively from luxe UK e-tailer Cult Beauty, stands out from the pack. Although it launched last year, itโs now completely sold out โ and attracted a waiting list of 3000 and counting โ after the brandโs founder, Karen Ballou, appeared on US shopping channel QVC.
At ยฃ120 ($AUD206) the Vital Clay face mask doesnโt exactly come cheap, but the high quality ingredients list explains why. The mask is made with four types of purified earth clays, including raw French green clay, known for its healing and detoxifying properties.
The combination of clays delivers copper, magnesium, calcium and zinc to the skin to draw out impurities, clear pores and brighten the complexion. Plus, it promises not to dry out and crack on the skin like so many clay masks do.
The Immunocologie brand was founded after Ballou was diagnosed with Hodgkinโs Lymphoma and wanted skincare that wasnโt filled with chemicals.
Want in? Head to Cult Beauty to join the waiting list (they ship to Australia) and cross your fingers you make the cut for the first new shipment on April 28.

Sometimes one of the best motivators to workout is thinking of wearing that exciting new activewear you just bought.
This was the case for a College of Charleston student, who wore her new outfit (a crop top, leggings and sneakers) to her university gym.
But when Sarah Villafaรฑe arrived ready to workout, the gym staff werenโt nearly as pleased with her look. They gave her two options: either she could โput on a shirtโ or leave the premises.
She took to Facebook to express her frustration at the incident.
โWhen I walked into the gym, they asked me to put on a different shirt,โ Villafaรฑe wrote. โObviously I didnโt bring an extra shirt to the gym and wasnโt about to wear my flannel while working out.โ
โThen, when Iโm in the BACK CORNER of the gym doing abs on the floor, another staff member comes up and asks me to โput my shirt back on.โ
โI said โI have a shirt on.โ They say โno thatโs not a shirt. You have to wear a whole shirtโ I say โhow is this not a shirt?โ And she says โYou need full coverage. If you have a problem, we always have our boss here.โ I laughed and said โAlright bring him over here if he has a problem.โ
After this, the boss came over and insisted that she โput a shirt onโ. She finally gave up and just left, because clearly they had different definitions of what a shirt was.
She finished off the angry Facebook post by saying, โI bought this outfit to work out in because itโs COMFORTABLE. What is the issue? Why canโt I work out in this outfit? Is my belly button distracting to the general 85% male demographic that your gym serves? Iโm forced to leave, WHY? Honestly Iโm so floored that I just got kicked out for this. DO BETTER COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON.โ
Later, the university gym informed her that the reason they had an issue with it was for โsanitary concernsโ, however they didnโt tell her this at the gym.
Given the recent trends for activewear, we doubt there should be much concern wearing it in a gym. Maybe itโs time to update the rules.

Ever since Bella Hadid got inked with two teeny tiny wings on each ankle, the trend for miniature tattoos has soared (excuse the pun).
The latest iteration of the look might just be the best yet: called helix tattoos, theyโre intricate, miniscule designs etched onto the outer curve of your ear.
Seoul-based tattoo artist Zihee is credited with starting the trend, according to Yahoo Style. With over 90k Instagram followers to his name, his style is nature motifs in saturated colour โ think floral wreaths, single stem blooms and wind-blown leaves.

At marie claire HQ, to be completely mesmerised by a pair of shoes is nothing new (it comes with the territory), but these new Christian Louboutins had our whole office enthralled for longer than the norm.
Celebrity stylist Samantha McMillen (whose client roll call includes Carey Mulligan, Amber Heard, Dakota and Elle Fanning) gave the world its first look at the sparkly new boots, which magically change colour with the wave of a hand.
โIโm calling this โUnicorn skin,โโ McMillen captioned the post. โFancy new sequined boots @louboutinworld of course #unicornskinโ
Christian Louboutin is keeping mum on the details, which Allure reports will be available come mid-May. Theyโre not the only ones giving glitter boots a go โ both Saint Laurent and Chanel revealed super-sparkly designs at their recent A/W โ17-18 shows.
The boots are the latest in a slew of oh-so-sparkly, shimmery, holographic โUnicornโ looks to grace Instagram โ first came the beauty looks (in pastel-pretty nail art, eyeshadow and lipstick form), then Unicorn toast, smoothies and nowโฆ shoes. But these are by far our favourites.

Results showed that Australian coupleโs now spend an average of $90,128 on their big day โ an increase of 4 percent in the last two years and doubling in the last decade.
The figure represents a staggering 75% of the average Australian coupleโs annual income and is $30,000 more than the average Australianโs personal income.
When it comes to the wedding gown brides are spending an average cost of $2,535, with them being 58 percent more likely to use Botox pre-wedding than participants in the last survey.

Yesterday was a massive day for Demi Lovato โ fresh from being named one of the worldโs most influential people at the Time 100 Gala, at which she also performed, the singer celebrated by getting some fresh ink.
Thereโs just one small problem: Lovatoโs new tattoo, a lion that spans the entirety of her left hand, looks identical to the iconic ink adorning Cara Delevingneโs finger. See what we mean:
Yeahโฆ weโre not so sure (although for the record, Lovato has a song called โLionheartโ that could have easily inspired the ink).
NYC-based celebrity tattooist Keith โBang Bangโ McCurdy created Lovatoโs tattoo; heโs also inked Justin Bieber, Adele, Ruby Rose, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Kylie Jennerโฆ and Cara Delevingne. And yes: heโs the one who gave Delevingne her lion tatt.

While a lot happened during the night, probably (read: definitely) the best moment was when our two favourite celeb couples joined forces.
John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds met up mid-ceremony to engage in what we can only imagine as a laugh-filled โ it is Ryan and Chrissy weโre talking about here โ convo about their cute-as-hell respective offspring.

Edwina Bartholomew has opened up in a recent interview about her wedding plans with fiance Neil Varcoe and the reason why she almost gave back her engagement ring.
The Sunrise presenter told The Daily Telegraph that for their wedding, she wants to keep things simple.
โMy only prerequisite is that we have sausage rolls and pies and ham rolls at the end of the night,โ she said.
โI am dead serious, I love sausage rolls and I hate it when you go to weddings and it is all fancy food and you canโt actually eat anything!โ

โEverybody knows that my husband is in the jail and they know that I am the very poorest family girl,โ 33-year- old Srathran Pardathy, from Eastern Sri Lanka, tells marie claire, her eyes wet with tears.
โNormally this work is a womanโs undoing. But they are not thinking and seeing me like that.โ
Srathranโs husband was jailed for bigamy, leaving her to raise their four-year- old daughter alone.
Today, with a small grant and training from Plan International Australia, sheโs selling palm leaf products near her village, and even as far away as the capital, Colombo. Yes, she says, she faced some backlash from her friends and neighbours. In Sri Lanka, a woman working outside the home is, as Srathran says, her โundoingโ โ at least in the eyes of many of her peers. Despite decades of civil war, the devastating 2004 Boxing Day tsunami that killed over 30,000 people leaving thousands of families impoverished, and rising inflation, women are still expected to home-make while their husbands make money.
Srathran is making a better life for her four-year-old daughter
But as Srathranโs income grew, so did her bravery and confidence. โI didnโt study but my child needs to be studying,โ she explains, adding that the money she makes allows her daughter to attend preschool, and hopefully continue with her education into her teens. She wants, she says, an โeducated child, not like me. That is my aim.โ
Aid organisation Plan International is helping women like Srathran not only acquire the practical skills and business knowledge to generate their own incomes, but also combat the patriarchal stereotypes that marginalise them. Planโs Youth Economic Leadership project aims to increase the standard of living of young people in Sri Lanka by giving them access to skills that will help the, get them employment in areas of demand. It targets youth aged 15-25, as well as women and men of marginalised families, like Srathranโs.
Since its beginning in 2013, hundreds of young people have had their lives changed through the power of employment. โWe also work on the parents,โ says Upali Wijentunge, National Advisor โ Household Economic Security for Plan Sri Lanka. โThey think that if they let their daughters go outside the home something bad will happen to them. We work to help change their ideas.โ
Global handmade and vintage market place Etsy is also pitching in. Each year in Australia, the site launches its Make For Good program, where Etsy makers are encouraged to donate a portion of their revenue to Plan โ in 2016, they amassed a stunning $40,000.
Kiralee Johnson learning from her Sri Lankan counterpartsCat Badcock learns how to weave coconut fibre into strong rope
Both the Australian women and their Sri Lankan counterparts began the day exchanging not so much skills as nervous smiles โ wondering how on earth theyโd be able to teach each other anything when saddled with the barriers of language and culture. But within a short time, both groups realised they each spoke fluent โcraftโ โ and were soon instructing each other wordlessly on how to create plush toys, woven bracelets and strong fibres from coconut husks โ laughing as each woman struggled at first to understand the otherโs skills, then surprising themselves as it all came together.
โTheyโre artisans just like us. It felt like we were hanging out with our sisters in another country,โ explained Kiralee, from Ipswich in Queensland. โThey were so funny. They were just beautiful.โ
Support Planโs work, including womenโs economic empowerment programs around the world:

Photos of Kim Kardashianโs butt have been floating around the Internet, but for once, they havenโt been on her own terms.
The photos are taken from an unflattering angle of her legs and butt showing cellulite, and some media outlets have already jumped on the photos, claiming they are โimperfectโ.
One infamous TV personality Piers Morgan even had the audacity to claim that Kim Kardashianโs cellulite is โfair gameโ. When his co-host Susanna Reid suggested that cellulite should be celebrated because it is โa fact of life for 90 percent of womenโ, he gave this charming responseโฆ
โWhy would we celebrate it? We put up with it, tolerate it, but not accept it,โ Morgan said.
โFlaws should not be celebrated. My thoughts are, sheโs just launched her new emoji of her backside next to an ashtrayโwhich sheโs called it โass trayโโso I think her posterior is fair game.โ

The post was particularly amazing because it would mean that Williams won the Australian Openโฆwhile pregnant. Which is more than most of us will ever do in our lifetime!
The tennis star has now spoken out about the post, which she says was actually completely an accident.
She spoke to journalist Gayle King at the TED2017 conference about the photo.
โI was on vacation, taking time for myself, and I have this thing where Iโve been checking my status and taking a picture every week,โ
โIโve been just saving it, but you know how social media is โ you press the wrong button andโฆโ
โMy phone doesnโt ring that much, and 30 minutes later, Iโd missed four calls. So I picked it up and realised, โOh noโ,โ she said.
Serena Williams is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian โ they announced their engagement four months ago.
She recently made an official post about her pregnancy on Instagram.
โMy Dearest Baby,โ she wrote. โYou gave me the strength I didnโt know I had.
โYou taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I canโt wait to meet you. I canโt wait for you to join the players box next year. But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with youโฆ. once again today. On @alexisohanian bday. from the worldโs oldest number one to the worldโs youngest number one. -Your Mommyโ

As we all know, our facial skin can be totally unpredictable as there are so many contributing factors that can affect how our skin behaves and reacts. The products we use, the environment we frequent (youโve no doubt noticed how your skin can dry out when youโre sitting in air-con all day), the levels of stress weโre going through, and even the time of the month can affect how our skin can look and feel. And while eating a balanced diet and filling your plate with lots of nutrient-dense foods can improve your overall wellbeing, it turns out that there are certain food groups we should be eating and avoiding to improve healing in our skin. We spoke with Rhea Beilharz, naturopath and Swisse skin care expert for her top tips on the subject.
Found in chocolate, milk, cheese, yoghurt and ice-cream, this food group is one to avoid when youโve got a pimple. โDairy is often problematic for those that suffer acne as it can lead to increased levels of inflammation and skin breakdown, which can result in ageing and acne in many people,โ says Beilharz.
Try: Zinc
Found in spinach, brown rice, lentils, chickpeas, oysters and most meats, zinc is one vitamin you should add to your diet, stat. โZinc is fantastic for encouraging healing, and may also help minimise future breakouts,โ says Beilharz.
Avoid: Sugar
Whether you love to snack on a handful of sweets or add a teaspoon of it into your coffee and tea, sugar should be avoided when you are suffering from breakouts. โSugar is another common trigger for people with acne,โ continues Beilharz. โThis doesnโt necessarily mean that if you enjoy a chocolate bar occasionally that youโll break out, but if you continually overindulge in sugar it might worsen your skin. Try reducing sweet things to a few times a week as a treat rather than a daily necessity.โ
Try: Omega 3
Itโs good news for those that love a handful of chia seeds in your breakfast pudding or a slab of salmon for lunch. โOmega 3, which can be sourced from foods such as fish and nuts and seeds, contain alpha-linolenic acid which can help decreases dryness and keep skin soft, smooth, and supple.โ
Avoid: Refined carbohydrates
When youโve got a breakout, itโs best to avoid refined carbohydrates like biscuits, fried foods and processed breakfast cereals. โEveryone is individual in what they find may trigger their acne flare-ups however common food culprits are dairy, sugar and a diet high in refined carbohydrates. Keep a food diary in which you track what you eat with a few notes on how your skin is to see if you can find your culprit!โ
Try: Fermented foods
From a refreshing drink of kombucha to a small snack of kimchi, getting your dose of fermented foods can be easy and delicious at the same time. โBy cleaning up your diet your gut health will improve, which may help your skin health,โ finishes Beilharz. โYou can further support gut health with a probiotic or by increasing gut-friendly fermented foods.โ

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher generally keep their life out of the public eye, but for her parents, Mila was willing to go the extra mile and film their surprise home renovation.
During the clip, the 33-year-old actress talks about her childhood and moving the United States when she was seven. She says that her parents, who still live in the same house her and her brother grew up in refuse to move, though the house barely fits their growing extended family.
During the makeover, Kunis is nine months pregnant with her second child to Ashton Kutcher (who helps out with the heavy lifting).
โMy family all descends upon the family room/kitchen/dining room area,โ she says. โAnd whoever is in the kitchen is isolated from everybody else because youโre surrounded by these weird walls.โ
Mila told her parents they needed to leave the house for a couple of days, but didnโt disclose why, and upon their return, the couple is overwhelmed with happiness.

To say Queen Elizabeth I has been played by acting heavyweights is an understatement: before Cate Blanchett secured two Best Actress Oscar nominations for her portrayal in Elizabeth and Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Dame Judi Dench wore the crown.
The roleโs history goes some way to explain the mass incredulity that has followed Varietyโs announcement that Margot Robbie is slated to play the part.
The Aussie actress is said to be in negotiations to play Queen Elizabeth I in Focus Features and Working Titleโs upcoming Mary Queen of Scots.
The film is based on a book titled The True Life of Mary Stuart, with an original script being written by House of Cards creator Beau Willimon. Saorise Ronan has been secured to play Queen Mary.
The response on Twitter has been swift and savage (and occasionally hilarious), as fans fail to envisage Robbie in the royal role.

NRL commentator Phil โGusโ Gould has been slammed for his comments about a couple of female fans watching the ANZAC Day clash between the Roosters and the Dragons.
During the game in Sydney, the camera zoomed in on a couple of women chatting and laughing, and Gould assumed that they werenโt watching the game.
He said, โThe girls arenโt watching the footy, they donโt care, theyโre talking aboutโฆother thingsโ.
While the comment could easily have been missed by some viewers, Twitter users have taken Gould to task for his comments.
Women don't care about the footy, Gus? RT if you are a woman who loves her footy.
A spokesman told the Daily Telegraph that women form a growing part of the NRL community
โMore women are watching, more women are playing and you only have to go to a game to seem women and girls are becoming our most fanatical fans,โ the spokesman said.
โThey love the game โ and we are doing all we can to convert even more women into Rugby League supporters.โ
Channel Nine has yet to respond to Phil Gouldโs comments.

If you blinked, you could have missed it. But way back in 2010, a certain newly appointed U.S political advisor appeared on the silver screen hit, Gossip Girl.
Starring as none other than herself, Ivanka Trump is featured during season fourโs episode six โEasy Jโ, where her and husband, Jared Kushner, are being toasted at a New York Observer party.
An always poised Ivanka smiles in a glittering silver dress while Jared shakes hands with GG star, Serena van der Woodsenโs love-interest, Colin, who accepts an award for Bachelor of the Year.
Really, the scene doesnโt seem too far removed from the pairโs regular lifestyle.
โThank you, Jared, and thank you, Ivanka, for marrying Jared and giving someone else the chance to win Bachelor this year,โ says Colin, played by actor Sam Page.
Speaking to Instyle in 2010, Ivanka confessed her love for the popular drama series, revealing, โI never miss an episodeโฆ I think Iโm a cross between Blair Waldorf and Lily van der Woodsen when it comes to the style. I like the uptown city style and a clean-cut, streamlined silhouette.โ
This comparison is fitting seeing as Lily van der Woodsen has worn luxury pieces from Ivankaโs jewellery line during the show.
Other notable GG cameos are that of Karlie Kloss โ the supermodel showed up at one of the classic Upper East Side parties โ and Alexa Chung who refused to walk in one of Blairโs mumโs fashion shows.

Getting up early can be the hardest part about finding motivation to workout. But never fear, fitfluencer Kayla Itsines has some simple strategies to spring out of bed and start moving right away.
The creator of the BBG program wrote on her blog about the things you can start doing to workout early.
Here are just a few of her best tipsโฆ
Stop hitting snooze
Itsines says that by using the snooze button more than once or twice, itโs easy to lose your motivation. If youโre finding it hard to stop sleeping in, she suggests waking up with a couple of stretches.
Try shorter, more high intensity workouts
If youโd rather not get up at the crack of dawn for an hour long pilates class, you can opt for a 30 minute workout which makes it easier to fit in. The workouts Kayla suggests on her app Sweat With Kayla are designed to work on the go.
If waking up is tough for you, have something to look forward to like breakfast at your favourite cafe, Kayla suggests. It will help keep you motivated and get you into a good habit.
Itโs not gonna be easy, but it will pay off in the long run!

Offspring star Asher Keddie knows the Logies better than most โ sheโs won the Best Actress award a staggering five consecutive times for her portrayal of neurotic obstetrician Nina Proudman, picking up multiple nominations for her work in Love My Way, Underbelly, Party Tricks and Paper Giants before that.
The prolific Australian actor shared her behind-the-scenes photos from the 2017 Logies with marie claire, talked us through her dress (a stunning Rebecca Vallance design) and why this yearโs awards were more fun than most.
Getting ready with make-up artist Andrea Black.ALL the make-up.
How did you feel in your Rebecca Vallance gown?
I felt fabulous in Rebeccaโs gown. Elegant, timeless, yet modern, it was a pleasure, and effortless to wear.
How many fittings did you have?
I had no fittings! It slipped on effortlessly, perfectly fitting my body.
Red carpet arrivals.Detail of hair by Kieren Street.
You often wear black to the Logies (2011, 2012, 2014.) Why is that?
Black is timeless, flattering and chic. I love colour too, itโs just always about the design for me.
Was there anything about your outfit that fans might not have noticed?
Because the gown was black, it may not have been noticeable just how expertly tailored it was. Thatโs the key to a truly beautiful gown, and allows the wearer relaxation and confidence, which is always attractive!
With the cast of Offspring.
What did you do after the Logies?
For the first of many years I wasnโt scheduled to work the following morning, so I enjoyed my opportunity to celebrate with friends. It was a great evening.

Police are using a womanโs Fitbit to charge her husband with her murder, after records from the fitness tracker show she was still alive more than an hour after he claimed she had been killed.
On 23 December 2015, emergency services were called to a Connecticut home by the owner, Richard Dabate. Upon arriving they found his wife, Connie, dead due to two gunshot wounds, one which was to the back of the head.
Dabate was found tied to a chair at the crime scene and told police he had been attacked by an intruder who shot his wife upon her arriving home.
In his version of events, Dabate said he put his two children on a bus to school, said goodbye to his wife, and left for work. He then realised heโd forgotten his laptop and returned to the house a short while later, where he found an intruder.
Right at that very moment his wife returned home and although he tried to warn her, the man shot her (using a gun Dabate had purchased two months prior).
However, according to the Fitbit she was wearing, Connie was still alive and walking around for an hour after the time Dabate claims she had died.
They could also see no signs of the intruder and police dogs found no other scent in the house.
Upon further investigation, police found Dabate was having an affair and had impregnated the other woman. He now faces charges of murder, tampering with evidence and making a false statement.
He has pleaded not guilty of all charges and is scheduled to return to court on Friday.

Sarah Jessica Parker and husband, Matthew Broderick, hit the red carpet for the opening night of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway.
The date night difference? Their three children were in tow.
The premiere marks a rare family affair for the Divorce star, whose son James Wilkie, 14, and 7-year-old twins Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta are usually kept out of the limelight.
Posing on Willy Wonkaโs purple carpet, the Parker-Bodricks looked worthy of a golden ticket, their chic outfits matching Sarahโs effortless style.
Tabitha and Marion coordinated with their mother, wearing smart coloured coats and darling prints, while James donned a tie for the occasion.
Ahead of the familyโs arrival at NYCโs Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, Sarah announced excitedly to her Instagram following of 3.4 million, โYipee! On our way to see โCharlie and the Chocolate Factoryโ and the whole family get to go and cheer for our dear @scottwittman and @marc_shaiman.โ
Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman (who SJP mentioned) were responsible for the score and lyrics of the musical.
The 52-year-old, who is a long-time lover of Broadway, recently told Capitol File, โI get into bed after all the little kids are hopefully content and tucked away and perhaps even asleep, and I watch television. But I also go to theatre a lot.โ
Letting her down-to-earth nature shine, Sarah revealed, โI take the subway there, which I love, because I can read the entire time.โ
The family of five enjoyed the Roald Dahl classic from the orchestra section, with the Sex and the City actress later gushing on Instagram, โA lot of VERY happy people just left the Lunt-Fontanne theatre in NYC. Count the Parker-Brodericks among them.โ

WARNING: distressing content about murder and suicide.
The woman whose partner live streamed the horrifying murder of their 11-month-old baby girl and himself on Facebook says she saw the broadcast.
The horrific video, which surfaced on Monday, showed Wuttisan Wongtalay hanging his daughter before taking his own life.
The fact that it was up on Facebook for over 24 hours has sparked a debate about how to keep this graphic content off the internet, but until now, no one realised that the girlโs mother had watched the entire thing.
โI was with my older brother and he was logging onto his Facebook,โ Jiranuch Trirat, told AFP on Thursday from a Phuket temple.
โHe was scrolling down and suddenly we saw the live broadcast.โ
โI turned to take a look and saw him (Wuttisan) drop my daughter with the rope and I couldnโt continue to watch.โ
They quickly realised the what was happening and alerted the police. The bodies were found hours later.
As for the Facebook debate, Trirat said, โI donโt blame Facebook. They are not part of the problem, we can choose to broadcast happiness or sadness.โ
What prompted Wongtalay to commit the murder and suicide remains a mystery, but Trirat did reveal, โHe often abused my son Sanook.โ
Phuket Newsreports that the events took place after 20-year-old Wongtalay threatened to kill Trirat. She ran away, leaving their baby Natalie with him.
Ms Jiranuch told police that he had found her phone, and accused her of cheating on him.
โAt 3am yesterday he checked my phone and threatened to kill me,โ she said.
โI was very afraid and ran away from the house and left Natalie with him. I returned home late in the afternoon and they were not there. I called him to bring Natalie back to the house, but I could not get in touch with him.โ
โThe video clip, which is about four minutes long, was posted at 5:45pm yesterday,โ said Lt Col Sanit Nookhong from the Thalang Police on Tuesday.
โYou can hear the girl crying and finally the crying stops,โ he said.
A statement from Facebook about the incident described the events as โappallingโ.
โOur hearts go out to the family of the victim,โ it said.
โThere is absolutely no place for content of this kind on Facebook and it has now been removed.โ

Itโs officially been 10 years since Madeleine McCann disappeared, and still her parents donโt have any answers.
Kate and Gerry McCann shared a heartfelt post on the Official Find Madeleine Campaign Facebook page, thanking everyone for their efforts to bring home their little girl.
โTen years- thereโs no easy way to say it, describe it, accept it,โ they wrote. โI remember when Madeleine first disappeared I couldnโt even begin to consider anything in terms of years.
โShawn Hornbeck abducted and kept hidden for over four years, Natascha Kampusch for over eight years. I couldnโt go there. And now here we areโฆMadeleine, our Madeleine- ten years.โ
Kate and Gerry also added that there are two themes that are most appropriate to them over the course of the search: โperseverance and gratitudeโ.
โWe will go on, try our hardest, never give up and make the best of the life we have,โ they wrote.
โWe consider ourselves immensely fortunate to have received the love, solidarity and support from so many kind and decent people over the last decade. There have been many challenges and low points along the way but the warmth, encouragement and positivity we have experienced from the โquiet majorityโ has undoubtedly sustained us and maintained our faith in human goodness. And while that is there, there will always be hope.โ
Kate and Gerry McCann recently spoke to Sunday Night about the case, and their frustrations with the Portuguese police, who named them as prime suspects at the time and didnโt start a search for her kidnappers until 4.30am โ hours after she was reported missing at around 10pm.
โThe ludicrous thing is that Madeleine died in the apartment by an accident and we hid her body,โ Mr McCann toldSunday Night. โWell, when did she have the accident and die? โCause the only time she was left unattended was when we were at dinner, so if she died then, how could we have disposed of or hidden her body? You know, when there was an immediate search?โ

ANZAC Day is one of just two days a year when the nation stops to reflect on the service and sacrifice of our war veterans, but yesterday ABC part-time presenter and youth activist Yassmin Abdel-Magied sought a slice of the limelight for herself.
The 26-year-oldโs inflammatory Facebook post read as follows: โLest We Forget (Manus. Nauru. Syria. Palestine)โ.
Her words rapidly drew thousands of enraged comments, compelling Abdel-Magied to amend the post to simply, โLest we forget.โ
She also added a comment apologising for her first post, writing, โIt was brought to my attention that my last post was disrespectful, and for that I unreservedly apologise.โ
Amid calls for the ABC24 Australia Wide presenter to be sacked in light of the remark, the ABC is standing by their part-time employee.
โMs Abdel-Magied acknowledged that the timing and nature of the post was disrespectful,โ an ABC spokesperson has said in a statement. โMs Abdel-Magied is also engaged in a range of other activities and work that is not related to the ABC. Her views and opinions in that capacity are her own and do not represent those of the ABC.โ
While Abdel-Magied is right to draw public attention to the plight of asylum seekers detained at Manus and Nauru and the devastating conflict in Syria and Palestine, her attempt to detract from the service of Anzacs on Anzac Day came across as incredibly insensitive.
Tasmanian senator Eric Abetz was one of many politicians to respond to Abdel-Magiedโs post, saying, โTens of thousands of Australians, from all walks of life, have gone to war and paid the ultimate sacrifice. Today we pay tribute to them, not seek to use their sacrifice for cheap political point-scoring as Ms Abdel Magied has done.โ

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Netflixโs 13 Reasons Why.
Anyone who has watched the entirety of 13 Reasons Why has more than a few burning questions โ which, in my humble opinion, more than cements the need for Netflix to confirm a second season.
What is Mr. Porter going to do with Hannahโs tapes? Did Alex survive his suicide attempt? Was it actually a suicide attempt or did brooding high school photographer Tyler try to murder him? Is Bryce going to pay for what he did to Jessica and Hannah?
And, what on Earth is up with Tony?!
The character Hannah bestows with the huge task of distributing her tapes has more than one confusing element.
Firstly, Tony both looks and acts like heโs in his mid-thirties โ I mean seriously, name another high school student who can afford to buy themselves a vintage mustang.
Secondly, he always happens to be in the right place at the right time, so much so that Clay actually accuses him of being a stalker on more than one occasion.
This has brought fans to think that Tony might not actually be a tattooed, leather jacket wearing teen, but actually some sort of guardian angel who doesnโt actually exist.
A bit left field, yes, but the idea does actually make quite a lot of sense.
Heโs always there when Clay needs help, he is definitely wise beyond his years, and he certainly doesnโt look or act like any of the other kids at Liberty High.
While it would definitely add another element to the show if Tony really was some sort of ghost or spiritual guide, thereโs also quite a lot that works against the theory.
Tony is in a relationship with a human, he beats the shit out of a guy with his brothers (which is not really something youโd expect an angel to do), and while heโs usually the cool, calm and collected one, you do see him getting super upset over Hannahโs death in some scenes.
Also, why would he tell Clay that knowing everything he knows, he thinks Clay killed Hannah?!? Clay was the only one Hannah said didnโt belong on the tapes, for crying out loud.
That is seriously unangelic, Tony.
Christian Lee Navarro โ the actor who plays Tony on the show โ actually clarifies a lot (read: all that creepy stalking) when he says, โI didnโt want to find Clay the same way I found Hannah. I know Clay on an intimate level, and I know if he doesnโt do this the right way, if I leave him to his own devices, he may just do the same thing.โ
So, maybe Tony is just wise beyond his 17 years and Hannah picked him because she knew heโd look out for everyone (sans that horrific prick Bryce), especially Clay, on the tapes and always do the right thing.
But I still canโt get past him turning up literally everywhere at just the right time โ or that a teen could have their finances more in order than me.

One of the main rumours circulating after Heath Ledgerโs death in 2008 was that his portrayal of the Joker led him to depression and ultimately caused his death.
However his sister Kate has spoken out about this misconception, saying that it couldnโt be further from the truth.
โI was really shocked because that was him having fun,โ she said. โEvery report was coming out that he was depressed and that [the role] was taking this toll on him, and weโre going, honestly, it was the absolute opposite. It couldnโt be more wrong.
โHe had an amazing sense of humour, and I guess maybe only his family and friends knew that, but he was having fun. He wasnโt depressed about the Joker!โ
Nearly 10 years after his death, a documentary celebrating his life and exploring his identity through his friends and family will be released for a short time only in cinemas.
I Am Heath Ledger will premiere in Heath Ledgerโs home town of Perth on May 9. It will show in Australian cinemas for one week only with limited screenings.

Ivanka Trump has faced criticism at Berlinโs W20 event after responding to a question about her fatherโs behaviour towards women.
She spoke on a panel with other influential female leaders like German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, IMF CEO Christine Lagarde, Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland, and Nicola Leibinger-Kammรผller, CEO of German company Trumpf GmbH.
The moderator of the event, Miriam Meckel, did not hold back when questioning Ivanka Trump, asking her what specifically she does in the White House and asking her to address Donald Trumpโs past behaviour towards women.
When she described her father as โa tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thriveโ, the crowd groaned and booed, clearly disagreeing with the statement.
Meckel continued to question Ivanka, saying, โSome attitudes toward women your father has publicly displayedโฆ might leave one questioning whether he is such an empowerer for womenโฆwhatโs your comment on that?โ
โIโve certainly heard the criticism from the media and thatโs been perpetuated,โ Ivanka responded.
โBut I know from personal experience that I think the thousands of women who have worked with and for my father for decades, when he was in the private sector, are testament to his belief and solid conviction in the potential of women and their ability to do the job as well as any man.โ
Ivanka added that a lot of her values aligned with her fatherโs, so he was more than happy for her to step into her role in the White House.
โI do label myself a feminist and I think of that in very broad termsโฆI think of that as believing in the social, political and economic equality for all genders,โ she said.
โWe have to go out into the world, find people who disagree with us and try and understand their viewpoints.โ
People on Twitter have already supported the audienceโs reaction, claiming that Ivanka Trump can do more to speak out against her fatherโs behaviour.
What's more appalling:Ivanka Trump defending her father's family values or Donald Trump being so scared of boos that he won't travel at all?

Last October, Mckenna Newmanโs mother, Marci, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer โ an event that rocked their family.
Recently, Marci underwent radiation therapy, which meant she had to be isolated from her family to prevent them being affected by radiation. But that didnโt stop her husband Jon from being as close to her as possible.

She may not have won the coveted Gold Logie Award, but last night Jessica Marais still came up trumps, taking out the Best Actress Award for her role in Love Child.
Not only that, but the actress won in the fashion stakes, too. She dazzled in a gorgeous JโAton dress (which our publisher, Jackie Frank, nominated as her favourite of the evening, describing it as โelegant and on trendโ).
But it was Maraisโ accessories that really caught our attention. Specifically? A simple black ring she wore on her left hand.
Jessica Maraisโ ring (Credit: Getty)
The ring โ called the Acceptance Ring โ was designed by Marc Newson as part of a campaign for marriage equality called โUntil We All Belongโ by Airbnb. Made of black resin, the ring is โincompleteโ, with a small gap, which symbolises the gap in marriage equality in Australia. The ring costs just $3.50 โ and so far more than 35,000 have been sold in Australia. You can buy your Acceptance Ring here.

For the past few weeks, the White House has been on high alert for an article to surface focusing on the truth behind Donald Trump and Melania Trumpโs marriage.
The Vanity Fair profile โ which was released overnight โ about Americaโs new First Lady begins with an overview of Melaniaโs childhood and modelling career, before introducing Donald in 1998.
Among other things, the piece says Trump is almost at breaking point in her marriage, has no plans to move into the White House, that her husband tells her what to say, her relationship with Ivanka is icy, and that Donald only agreed to have a child if Melania promised to get her body back.
Unfortunately, the last point really isnโt as surprising as it should be.
On her husbandโs new role as First Lady of the United States, an insider revealed, โShe never wanted this, and never had any interest.โ
Another notes that this utter disinterest is one of the reasons Melaniaโs relationship with Trumpโs daughter Ivanka is less than ideal. Two industry insiders note they have โobserved a frostiness between the twoโ.
Furthermore, parents at Melaniaโs son Barronโs school โ Columbia Prep in New York City โ say that in the days before the election, Melania looked โthin, tired, and sad,โ with others reporting her as being โterrifiedโ of Trumpโs quest for office because โhe might win.โ
The article also directly quotes Michael DโAntonio, author of The Truth About Trump. DโAntonio recalls interviewing Melania and this exchange between the couple: โHe begged her to praise him [to me] as a husbandโฆ Literally, he said, โTell him Iโm a really good husband.โโ She looked at him, and he repeated himself. And she said, โYeah, heโs a really good husband.โ It was being dragged out of her.โ
Another point Vanity Fairโs Evgenia Peretz notes is that while Melania says sheโs just staying in New York so that Barron, 11, can finish out the school year before they move into the White House, none of the private schools in Washington D.C. that Barron would be likely to attend have been contacted about enrolling him next year.
All sources say Melania is a good mother to her son, but one notes she was only given the go-ahead to get pregnant if she promised โeverything would go back the way it wasโ physically.
โWoefully pliant as Melania may be, even she may have a breaking point,โ Peretz wrote for the piece. โOver the course of reporting this story, for which her close friends declined to talk, an uneasy picture has emerged of their marital union. Melaniaโs unhappiness and the coupleโs apparent lack of closeness are becoming more noticeable.โ

She used to favour royal blue (the colour of her sparkling sapphire engagement ring), but it appears the Duchess of Cambridge has a new favourite colour โ and itโs decidedly less demure than her last.
Kate Middleton just canโt stop wearing fire engine red lately, be it in tailored LK Bennett dress form, a puffer jacket or this latest look, a contemporary two-piece skirt suit by Armani.

Scream Queens actress Abigail Breslin has just opened up about being raped, and why she didnโt report the sexual assault to the police.
In an Instagram post yesterday, the 21-year-old shared statistics from U.S. anti-sexual violence organisation, RAINN, which highlighted jarring statistics showing the amount of sexual assaults that happen compared to the amount of perpetrators who walk free.
When Abigail posted the image, someone wrote below, โreported rapes are the only rapes that count.โ A comment which struck a personal chord with the actress.
She wrote a reply and shared it to her following of 533k with the caption, โTrigger Warning,โ saying, โI did not report my rape. I didnโt report it because of many reasons. First off, I was in complete shock and total denial.โ
โI didnโt want to view myself as a โvictim,โ so I suppressed it and pretended that it never happened. Second of all, I was in a relationship with my rapist and feared not being believed. I also feared that if my case didnโt lead anywhere, he would still find out and would hurt me even more,โ she wrote.
โThirdly, I knew how hurt my friends and family would be after finding out, and I didnโt want to put them through that.โ
The actress also revealed in the post that she has since been diagnosed with PTSD, which is common for people who have been sexually assaulted.
โI have made a lot of progress since the event occurred, but I wonโt pretend it isnโt something I struggle with. I still have flashbacks, I still get nightmares, I still jump when somebody touches me unexpectedly, even if itโs my best friend tapping me on the shoulder.โ
โTo say that reported rapes are the only rapes that count contributes to the ideology that survivors of unreported rape donโt matter. Itโs unfair, untrue, and unhelpful. Itโs like if you got a black eye from getting punched in the face, but because you didnโt call the police, you didnโt really get a black eye. Unreported rapes count. Reported rapes count. End of story.โ

Australian national treasure Megan Gale is carrying a genetically-blessed bun in her oven.
The supermodel revealed that she is expecting her second child with her husband, Shaun Hampson, just last week. Now, sheโs treated fans to a glowing selfie featuring her small baby bump.
โLetโs work out shall we, little Bun,โ Gale captioned this photo of herself in the gym.
The star is clearly fond of her โbunโ nickname, as she announced she was expecting with this tongue-in-cheek photo last week.
โWell would you look at that. Thereโs a bun in my oven,โ she wrote on Instagram. โNot quite ready to take it out just yet. Should be fully baked come Spring time.โ

So of course, the incident was parodied at the Logies last night, by none other than comedian Peter Helliar and Offpsring star Kat Stewart.
As they appeared from opposite ends of the stage to present the award for Most Outstanding Comedy, it instantly became apparent that they were both wearing hot pink โ Stewart in a dramatic asymmetrical gown and Helliar in a lurid suit.
โIโm sorry, Iโm sorry, you need to change,โ Helliar deadpans. โCan we get wardrobe, I asked you two hours ago, I asked you specificallyโฆ you need to put a jacket on.โ
Cue an assistant handing Stewart the worldโs ugliest poncho.
Meanwhile Sherlock, who appeared to take the skit with good grace, made the brave decision to don a white dress for the awards night.
โI couldnโt shy away from it,โ she told Fairfax Media of the Jason Grech design. โI just want to show that I have a sense of humour and I can take it on board.โ

It takes a lot to raise eyebrows in the ongoing soap opera that is French politics โ former President Nicholas Sarkozy, after all, married a supermodel while in office โ but Presidential candidate Emmanuel Macronโs relationship has set tongues wagging.
Why? The 39-year-old former Rothschild investment bankerโs wife is not only 24 years his senior, but also happens to be his high school French and drama teacher. Sacrรฉ bleu!
Brigitte Trogneux, 64, taught Macron the two subjects while he attended La Providence school in Amiens, north of Paris.
โHe wasnโt like the others,โ she said in a 2016 interview about Macron with a French documentary, the BBC reports. โHe wasnโt a teenager. He had a relationship of equals with other adults.โ
Macron moved to Paris to finish his schooling at 16, telling Trogneux, who was married with three children at the time, that he was determined to marry her. โWeโd call each other all the time and spend hours on the phone,โ she said. โBit by bit, he defeated all my resistance, in an amazing way, with patience.โ
The pair eventually married in 2007 after Trogneux left her husband.
If Macron, who represents his own party En Marche! (On the move) beats rival Marine Le Pen in the run-off election on May 7, the pair will well and truly be catapulted into the global spotlight.

Popular child actress Erin Moran, best known for her role as Joanie Cunningham on the 1970โs show Happy Days, has passed away, at just 56.
Emergency services in Corydon, Indiana were called to the scene for an unresponsive female at around 4pm on Saturday the 22nd, CBS reports.
โUpon the arrival, it was determined that the female was Erin Marie Moran-Fleischmann. First responders determined that she was deceased and an autopsy is pending,โ the department said.
Further details surrounding Moranโs death havenโt yet been released and an autopsy is pending.
On Happy Days, Erin played the younger sister of Richie Cunningham, played by the now famed director Ron Howard.
Howard shared a heartfelt tribute to his co-star on Twitter, saying โIโll always choose to remember you on our show making scenes better, getting laughs and lighting up tv screens.โ

Chloe-May Kabealo was the only survivor of the horrific car crash which killed her mother, brother and sister when their car plunged into a swollen river on April 3rd.
The 8-year-old managed to escape from the sinking vehicle, swim to shore and run to the nearest house for help, but by the time emergency services arrived, it was too late to save her family.
Now, the brave girl has spoken out about the horrific incident, saying, โI unbuckled my seatbelt and I tried to go up for air.โ
โAnd I just kept floating up out of something, and then I got out,โ she told reporters, while standing beside her father, Matthew, at a community fundraiser.
The car skidded off roads and into Tweed River, NSW, in the aftermath of Cyclone Debbie, which flooded both roads and the river.
Photo via Facebook
Chloeโs mother Stephanie is being hailed a hero, as she fought until her last breath to save her three children. Unfortunately, Stephanie, her daughter Ella-Jade, 11, and son Jacob, eight, didnโt make it out of the car alive.
โThey were all loved and they will never be forgotten,โ Chloe said of her family.
NSW Police Superintendent Wayne Starling said in the days following the tragedy that Stephanie would be alive but chose to fight to save her children.
โI can tell you the mother was trying to get one of her children out of the car when she passed away. She was with the child, holding the child,โ he said.
Stephanie was found cradling her son Jacob when the car was pulled from the river.
The fundraiser, organised by police, helped to raise thousands for Chloe and her father and a GoFundMe page has raised over $156,000.

Letโs be honest: the major drawcard of the Logies isnโt who takes out the top gong, the coveted Gold Logie, but who manages to cause the biggest stir on the red carpet.
And this year, that award goes toโฆ the gorgeous Gorgi Coghlan, whose dramatic black Con Illio dress took three men plus Carrie Bickmore to lug it up onto the Logies stage.
But it wasnโt just Gorgi turning heads last night โ below, our nominees for biggest Logies red carpet risk-takers:

Last night, all eyes were on the Logie Awards, where stars hit the red carpet to show off their stunning designer made looks.
While thereโs no doubt that Zoรซ Foster Blake dressed her growing baby bump perfectly and Anna Heinrich managed to pull off a dress which looked pretty darn similar to a literal Logie, people couldnโt work out Rebecca Juddโs JโAton Couture gown.
The 34-year-old spent the day teasing the red and pink custom-made dress on her social media, before revealing the final product a few hours prior to the red carpet.
The look featured lace detailing, a sheer hem and a ruffled front, enough to quickly send the internet into a confused state of panic.
While many commended the model on her daring outfit choice, others werenโt convinced, saying, โThis is horrid,โ and, โSheโs gorgeous but the dress not so much.โ

Last night, Australian A-listers brought their A-game to the red carpet for the 2017 Logie Awards.
One of the eveningโs stand-out looks was undoubtedly Zoรซ Foster Blakeโs gorgeous custom-made Con Ilio gown, which perfectly highlighted her pregnant silhouette.
The 36-year-old writer, naturally, joked about the process of getting red carpet ready, saying, โMan, the Logies are a piece of piss. I basically wake up, chuck on whatever is clean and some BB cream and go,โ before tagging the list of people who actually helped her to look so incredible.โ
On the making of Zoรซโs gown, designer Con Iliopoulos, said, โZoรซ has never rocked the Logies red carpet with a baby bump and itโs also the first time I have created a bespoke couture gown for a red carpet event for a heavily pregnant client.โ
โWhen Zoรซ came in for her first fitting, she let me know the styles she felt most comfortable and confident in, and with this in mind, I let my imagination run wild.โ
The pair only had two fittings for the custom gown, and these were done over the period of one week. Iliopoulos noted that the process had a fast turnaround โ the perfect way to overcome the challenge of fitting a dress to a fast-growing baby bump.
Zoรซ paired her dress with gold Gucci heels and jewellery by Cerrone Jewellers.

Now 10 years since Madeline McCann disappeared from a Portugese resort, new details have emerged about a potential police and tourist board cover-up of the number of attacks on British children in the area.
Speaking to Sunday Night, Scotland Yard Detective Inspector Andy Redwood revealed the area had a history of men breaking into holiday homes of British families and assaulting young girls.
โThere had been 12 crimes between 2004 and 2010, when an intruder broke into the properties of UK families, within a 60km radius of where Madeleine disappeared. On six of those occasions, the intruder either got into bed with or sexually assaulted a young female child,โ he said.
โWhat we can see here is clearly a man who has got a very, very unhealthy interest in young, white, female children, who he is attacking whilst in their beds while on their holidays.โ
There was a four-fold increase in the number of burglaries in the area in the months before Madeline disappeared, smh.com.au reports, including two in the villa complex where the McCanns stayed.
But the details of these unsolved crimes โ and the fact that a paedophile was at large in the area โ were kept largely under wraps, with Portugese police naming the McCanns prime suspects.
โI think the Portuguese police and the Portuguese Tourist Board would have been quite keen not to feature the number of burglaries that were going on in Praia da Luz and other towns on the Algarve,โ forensic expert, Professor David Barclay told Sunday Night. โAnd the fact that random paedophiles going around taking children out of holiday apartments, would have probably been quite a disincentive to families turning up for their holidays.โ
โI think thatโs possibly an explanation why the Met recently were able to find more examples of indecent assaults on children than weโd been told about previously.โ
Speaking to Sunday Night, Madeline McCannโs parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, voiced their frustrations with the Portugese police, who named them the prime suspects at the time and didnโt start a search for her kidnappers until 4.30am โ hours after she was reported missing at around 10pm.

A 46-year-old man has been charged with attempting to sexually assault a 12-year-old boy at Sydneyโs Bass Hill Plaza shopping mall over the weekend.
On Saturday evening, the young boy walked into the menโs bathrooms and noticed a man standing in one of the cubicles with the door open.
He immediately attempted to leave the toilets but the man quickly came out from the cubicle, grabbed the boy by the waist and pulled him back, a NSW Police spokeswoman said.
Police say the man hit the boy across the head while attempting to pull him into the cubicle.
As this was happening, two men walked into the bathroom, giving the boy enough time to break free and run out.
The incident was then reported to police, who went to the shopping centre and examined CCTV footage, which they then released to the public in an attempt to find the man.
Following the post (which has now been deleted from the NSW Police Facebook), a man went into Bankstown Police Station and was arrested and charged with assault with intent to have sexual intercourse with children between the ages of 10 and 16.
He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Bankstown Local Court today.

Kylie Jenner and her on-off beau Tyga are officially over. Well, according to these photos that show the reality TV star holding hands with another guy, anyway.
Spotted last night at Coachellaโs second weekend: Kylie getting cosy with rapper Travis Scott.
The 19-year-old posted a few photos of the pair on her Instagram, but it wasnโt until a fan snapped a photo of them holding hands that the newfound romance went from being just a rumour to looking pretty darn official.
ICYMI, Tyga and Kylie stopped appearing on each otherโs social media feeds a few weeks ago (the definition of a confirmed breakup for this phone obsessed generation).
Tyga was at Coachella weekend one โ as was Kylie โ but the pair successfully avoided each other, hitting separate parties.
Now to wait for the official Instaโ couple โgram.

Sophie Monk has been announced as the Bachelorette for 2017.
The TV and radio personality, who rose to fame as part of pop group Bardot, will be picking out of 16 suiters on Channel Tenโs popular show The Bachelorette later this year.
Sophie is definitely no stranger to having her love life publicised. She has a string of famous ex-boyfriends โ including Hollywood actor Sam Worthington, musician Benji Madden and footballer Eric Grothe Junior โ and has spoken out more than once about her struggles to find The One.
Of the show, the 37-year-old told SMH, โI moved back to Australia a couple of years ago, and Iโve embraced life back in the suburbs on the Gold Coast.โ
โI love having my family nearby, and spending time with my nieces and nephews โ but Iโm missing that one person to share it with.โ
Announcing this evening to her strong Instagram following of 166k โ a number which is likely to skyrocket overnight โ Sophie said, โOmg Iโm the new @bacheloretteau. Iโm so excited but wetting my pants.โ
Last yearโs Bachelorette, Georgia Love, had a successful run and is still with her beau Lee Elliott, while her runner-up, Matty J, is this yearโs Bachelor.
So far, no air date has been set for Sophieโs season of The Bachelorette, but itโs safe to say, weโre ready and waiting.

Shocking statistics were released this week that showed, overwhelmingly, that women working in specialist medicine in Australia are paid up to 75 per cent less than their male counterparts.
Female surgeons are paid 43 per cent less than men. Female clinical haematologists are paid 60 per cent less than men. And female pathologists are paid 75 per cent less than men, according to the latest data from the ATO.
The reasons are complex, but one is the obvious, as the Sydney Morning Herald reports. Women are far less likely to make it to the top tiers of medicine because theyโre routinely disadvantaged by the โbaby barrierโ. Most of these top-tier medical jobs take between 12 and 15 years of study and training โ a commitment that is much more difficult for women than it is for men, not just because they take time out of the workplace to have a baby, but because attitudes towards them on their return hold them back.
Melissa* is in her second year of work as a junior doctor, having completed a post-grad medical degree. She was pregnant when she was due to start her first year on the job, at age 29. The attitudes she came up against were staggering. โRight from the start I was met with a lot of hostility which was hard. I was surprised, particularly when you consider 70 per cent of medical trainees are women. Surely I wasnโt the first one to have a baby.โ
Her boss was unimpressed, and told her she had only one option. She was told she was able to delay the start date of her junior training โ but only until her baby was six weeks old. If she failed to return at this time, she would be banned from training in NSW at all for two years. โI felt trapped into making a decision,โ she says.
By contrast, Melissaโs husband, Luke, was also training at the same time and the same hospital. No one questioned his suitability for the job. When he went back shortly after the babyโs birth, he was met with congratulations. Melissa, however, was asked repeatedly how she could leave her baby when she was so young.
โจ
Women dominate in medical school but only make up 34 per cent of working medical specialists
Then there was childcare. โWe put our daughterโs name down on six childcare places when I was 10 weeks pregnant,โ Melissa says. โBy the time I was about to start work I hadnโt been offered any places. Youโre only paid about $60-65K in medicine when you start out so there was no way we could afford a nanny. We were lucky that my mum was able to help out for three months. But it turned into 12 months because no places opened up.โ
Melissa routinely comes across anti-family โ and consequently anti-woman โ attitudes during her years of medical study. In her orientation lecture before she officially started hospital work, one of the management team said โNone of you better get pregnant this year.โ
When she tries to bring up the idea of job-sharing or part-time work, sheโs made to feel like sheโs being a hassle. The only way she can see that a women can have a high-level medical career and a family is if they go straight from medical school into work, and forget about having kids until their mid-30s. And even then, she says, she knows of women who have done exactly this but have worked such long hours that they havenโt been able to find a partner.
Now Melissa and her family have moved to New Zealand to continue their training, and Melissa is at a point where she has to choose a specialty. Ideally, she wants to be a paediatrician but she canโt see how it will be possible with a family. Part-time options or flexibility is almost unheard of. She has a friends training in obstetrics and gynaecology who will probably have to change her career because itโs not family-friendly. Another paediatrics trainee she knows wanted to go part time and couldnโt, so she left. โBeing a GP might be more family-friendly, but I donโt want to do that because Iโve been pushed into it. I want to do it because Iโm good at it, not because itโs my only choice,โ she says.
Around half of Sydney Universityโs medical students are female. The majority are likely to earn far less than their male counterparts.
โจThe pay gap figures in the latest tax data donโt account for hours worked or seniority. So itโs likely that the female specialists who do make it to the top tier of medicine have either found a way to go part-time once theyโre at the top of the tree, or simply havenโt advanced into the most senior roles because of the obstacles thrown in front of them.
โPerceived credibilityโ is a barrier, according to Helen DickinsonAssociate Professor, Public Governance, University of Melbourne who wrote in The Conversation that women are often โnot being taken seriously as leaders or surgeons โ roles typically associated with males.โ
โAt some point, women come up against the baby barrier, which is not conducive to the very hard and long road into those top professions. Obviously some women do it, but itโs a much easier path for a man who has a wife supporting him at home,โ Ben Phillips, an economist and public policy analyst at the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods, told the Sydney Morning Herald.
Until men start voluntarily taking on more of housework and childcare roles, weโre unlikely to see many women given the same advantage.
Melissa doesnโt know how sheโs going to balance work and family from now on. She wants another child but knows that her profession will make that extremely difficult. โThe job is such long hours and not flexible and you have mother guilt so much anyway,โ she says. โYou wonder what youโre doing.โ

Everyoneโs talking about sustainable fashion. Itโs never been a better time to be a more conscious consumer. Where to start? Itโs easier than you think.
1. Shop nโ save
The Great Barrier Reef has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately as scientists warn that coral bleaching is advanced. What if your next bikini purchase could help save it? If Jeremy and Katinka Somers from We Are Handsome have their way, it just might. To coincide with Earth Day on April 22nd, theyโre launching a six-piece capsule collection with YOOX. Featuring prints inspired by the beauty of the reef, profits go to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation.
2. Read your labels
If you read the ingredients labels on food, why not take the same approach with your clothes? Did you know Bassikeโs cotton tees are all organic? You do now! Itโs getting easier to find vegetable tanned leathers. Ditto denim thatโs been produced with less water, and distressed with lasers rather than blasted with sand. Look out for the Woolmark โ wool is a renewable resource that can be shorn annually, and itโs biodegradable. Fairtrade and GOTS-certified organic cotton is kind to farmers and the environment. Check out new sustainable Melbourne label A.BCH โ designer Courtney Holm is obsessed; even her sewing thread is organic.

3. Buy local
From Scanlan & Theodore, Bianca Spender, Carla Zampatti and Manning Cartell to Cue, Nobody denim and R.M. Williams, heaps of Aussie designer brands are Ethical Clothing Australia accredited. That means their local supply chains have been audited so you can rest assured that their Made in Australia garments are ethically produced. For more info, visit the ECA site.
4. Switch your undies
Your skin is your biggest organ, so why would you want to wrap it in toxic chemicals? You wouldnโt! Mighty Good Undies makes fabulous organic cotton knickers, while Boodyโs range is made from sustainably produced bamboo thatโs free from azo dyes and formaldehyde (commonly used on textiles to keep them crease free and prevent mildew in shipping โ yuk).
5. Rethink your plastic
Plastic is not so fantastic. Especially if youโre a turtle (as Paris Hilton recently pointed out). Yikes. Bionic Yarn uses โshoreline wasteโ (i.e. plastic litter rescued from beaches) to make its recycled polyester, as seen in G-Star RAW For The Oceans denim and H&Mโs new Conscious Exclusive collection. Say yes to all that. But say no to plastic carrier bags at the counter. Bring your own re-usable tote.
6. Be a revolutionary
Fashion Revolution Week starts on April 24th. Founded in London in 2014 to raise awareness about ethical fashion on the first anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory disaster in Bangladesh, it has grown into a global movement. โHave you ever wondered who makes your clothes? How much theyโre paid, and what their lives are like?โ says the campaignโs co-founder Orsola de Castro. โOur clothes have gone on a long journey before they hit store shelves, passing through the hands of cotton farmers, spinners, weavers, dyers, and sewers. Eighty percent of them are women between the ages of 18 and 24. Sadly, the majority of the people who make our clothes for the global market live in poverty, unable to afford lifeโs basic necessities. This needs to change.โ To get involved, turn an item of clothing you love inside out to show the label, snap a pic, share it on social media, tag the brand and ask, #whomademyclothes ?

The unicorn trend has well and truly found its way into our beauty cupboards, with the arrival of Kat Von Dโs Alchemist Holographic Palette.
Having already sent US Sephora shoppers into a frenzy, the four-shade eyeshadow kit (which has been a whopping seven years in the making) has landed in Australia, and retails for $50.
Itโs not just for eyes though, the holographic effects can be applied over your lipstick for an amazing, pearl shine, or as highlighter on your cheekbones, collarbone, or Cupidโs bow.
The holographic effect has also made its way into hair salons, with this iridescent look flooding social media.
Seattle-based Ross Michaels Salon has been instrumental in creating the trend with their artists posting pics of all the iridescent locks. For the technique, the colorists look to Pravana Express Tones Violet, Pastels Luscious Lavender, and Blissful Blueaccompanied by celeb stylist favorite Olaplex, which bonds the hair during chemical processes to prevent breakage.
The range of holographic dye jobs spans from bold to barely thereโbut all magical nonetheless.

A criminal investigation into some of Belarusโ major orphanages, including those in the capital, Minsk, is underway after almost 100 children and young adults were found extremely malnourished and on the brink of starvation.
Orphanage directors have been fired in the wake of the discoveries, which included teenagers who weighed as little as 15-kilograms and one 20-year-old who weighed just 11.5-kilograms, The Guardian reports.
Prosecutors argue the children are victims of neglect, but those working in the orphanages have blamed the children.
โThe reason why they do not put on weight lies not in the malnutrition but in their psyche,โ orphanage director Vyacheslav Klimovich said. โThere is no accessibility as there is no brain there. They have absolutely different processes.โ
โThese children are brought to us to stay the rest of their lives,โ a deputy director, Marina Fedorenchik, said. โThe majority of them were given up for adoption at birth. All of them have sufficient congenital mental disability coupled with the nasty form of cerebral palsy or other congenital pathologies.โ
Another director blamed a lack of funding for the special food needed for such cases.
โThese children have never walked. They are constantly in bed. They donโt have muscles,โ Ella Borisova, director of the Cherven orphanage, said. โTheir legs are toothpicks covered with skin.โ
According to The Guardianโs report, when orphanages provided high-nutrition food to the children, their condition improved. But, they say, such food is difficult (and expensive) to access, made possible only after the children are examined by a paediatrician and granted public funding.
A paediatrician at a Minsk orphanage, Alexy Momotov, told The Guardian of his struggle to raise funds for better food via Facebook. โWe tried to organise a festival but nobody came.โ

What did brides-to-be do in the dark days before Pinterest?
Since it left scrapbooking for dead in March 2010, the platform has swiftly become an essential tool for anyone planning a wedding, baby shower, henโs do, home renovation โ or simply interested in eyeing off the latest fashion and beauty trends.
One trend in particular stood out from Pinterestโs 2017 Wedding Report: the most-searched-for lipstick shade for brides-to-be. Because it isnโt a rosy pink or modern nude that most women crave, but, surprisingly, a bright berry hue.
Searches for rich berry lips were up 71 per cent year on year, indicating that this is by no means a minor trend.
Keep scrolling for some of our favourite berry lips of late to inspire your next event โ bride or otherwise.

When we think of weddings, we think of white lace dresses, decorative bouquets of flowers and a glowing bride surrounded by her many smiling bridesmaids.
The once popular wedding trend of having several bridesmaids is starting to lose traction, with the report stating that searches for more intimate, selective ceremonies have increased by 100%.
The report also identifies some less common wedding trends that are gaining popularity, including wedding tattoos, taco bars and blue suits for the groomโฆ thatโs right, taco bars.
(Credit: Getty)
The report lists a number of possible reasons for the drop in popularity of bridesmaids, including the difficulty in picking from a large group of friends, the cost of paying for bridesmaids dresses and the increase in smaller, more family oriented ceremonies.
If youโre someone who thinks back on their time as a bridesmaid and is filled with the dreadful burden that comes with having to select โ and pay for โ a dress you know youโll never wear again, this news is likely to sit well with you.
If, however, you are one of the rare few who treats the responsibility of being a bridesmaid as if youโre Kathryn Heigel in 27 Dresses, weโre sorry for the bad news!

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has released a report outlining the 51 Australian cancer cases linked to breast implants since 2007, including three women who have died.
The cancer linked to breast implants is a rare form of non-Hodgkinโs lymphoma called anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL).
The FDA reports that there have been 359 cases of ALCL following breast implants in the US, including nine deaths.
Smh.com.au reports that breast implant-associated ALCL was officially recognised by the World Health Organisation in 2016, with the TGA and FDA working together to evaluate the risks.
Silicone breast implants.
โIf you notice enlargement or swelling of one or both breasts, or a lump, you should seek medical advice as soon as possible,โ says the TGA. Lumps or swelling can appear in the breast or armpit.
According to a TGA expert panel comprising surgeons, data analysts and cancer researches, the risk estimate for breast implant-associated ALCL ranges from one in 1000 to one in 10,000.
The Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery Journal will soon publish a study of Australian and New Zealander breast implant recipients, smh.com.au reports.
In most cases, the cancer can be treated simply by removing the implant, however in a small number of cases it can prove fatal.

ICYMI, singer Selena Gomezโs latest Instagram selfie is breaking the internet. Itโs been online for less than five days, and itโs already amassed almost 7 million likes.
In case youโve been living under a rock or sleeping for the entirety of the last week, the image in question is a selfie Selena shared to her 118 million Instagram followers of her with new boyfriend The Weeknd (aka Abel Tesfaye).
Although the pair have already been together for a few months, this selfie is the first step Selena has taken in confirming the relationship onlineโฆ and fans have gone *nuts*.
Taken at Coachella over the past weekend, the selfie has since surpassed Selenaโs most liked Insta-upload, *that* famous image of her sipping from a coke bottle which has over 6.6 million likes.
The selfie, which is now the second most liked image on all of Instagram after Beyonceโs pregnancy announcement, amassed over 1.3 million likes in the first hour. The Weeknd also took to his Instagram earlier last week to confirm the relationship.
The couple were first romantically linked back in January when a series of photos of the two of them kissing in Santa Monica hit the Internet, just a few months after The Weeknd famously split from 20-year-old model girlfriend Bella Hadid.

Yesterday, Malcolm Turnbull clearly had no idea of what he was getting himself into when he uttered the words โAustralian values.โ
The Australian Prime Minister was proposing changes to the countryโs current Citizenship Test, saying that, among other things, the new test would include a section to ensure all future citizens subscribe to what he termed โuniquely Australianโ values.
What those exact values were, Turnbull didnโt think to clarify.
He was later challenged by ABCโs Leigh Sales, where he revealed the government would enter a six-week period of consultation over what actually constitutes the term.
Of course, the good people of the internet have already taken it upon themselves to define the phrase.

Thereโs a shameful temptation to think of domestic violence as something that would never happen to you or the people you know, but an Adelaide lawyer is speaking out to show that nothing could be further from the truth.
Speaking to the ABC, the lawyer, who asked not to be named, was confronted by the dark reality of domestic violence firsthand, when a family member was viciously assaulted by her ex-partner in front of her young children.
โHe strangled her, police were called, it took two canisters of pepper spray and eight to 10 police to subdue him โ the children witnessed it,โ she says.
โWhen I was called, and I arrived at the house to help with the children who were very distressed I saw that my [relative] had her left eye almost out of its socket, her eyes were bloodshot red.โ
She continues, โWhat I didnโt know at the time but found out later was that her arm was almost pulled out, or pulled out enough that it tore some ligaments down the side of her back.โ
Now, sheโs spoken out to draw attention to the fact that domestic violence can happen to anyone. โItโs not limited to the poor, it happens in middle class families, rich families,โ she told the ABC. โIt happens in all the wealthy suburbsโฆ itโs just that everyone is ashamed to talk about it.โ
โIt might be that a man withholds money so she might wear really nice designer clothes but sheโs got no money and sheโs got nowhere to go with the children so they stay in these abusive relationships and then the next generation see it and think itโs normal and on it goes,โ she says.
The lawyer is calling for more to be done to help women (and occasionally, men) in these situations, saying that while the police were โabsolutely marvellousโ, adequate financial and psychological assistance often isnโt readily available.
If you or someone you know is impacted by sexual assault or family violence, call 1800RESPECT, visit 1800RESPECT.org.au or Lifeline on 131 114. In an emergency, call 000.

Great ideas can hit you in the most unremarkable places. For most people, light bulb moments happen in the shower. For Lana Hopkins, a multimillion-dollar idea came to her in a Build-A-Bear workshop at Westfield Bondi Junction.
โI was shopping for the perfect handbag and feeling quite heartbroken because there was just nothing right,โ she explains. Defeated, she left the shopping centre and stumbled into a Build-A-Bear workshop, spending an hour making her nephew the perfect teddy. Cue light bulb moment: Build-A-Handbag.
โI thought if Iโm struggling to find a handbag, there must be other women with the same problem,โ the former marketing director recalls. And so, Mon Purse was born, giving women (and men) the ability to design their own personally monogrammed handbag, with European leather and the rose gold or gunmetal hardware of their choosing.
At Mon Purse customers design and monogram their own handbags with over ten billion design combinations. Photo: Jim Stone
Hopkins, now 33, launched the Mon Purse website in 2014 at her kitchen bench with an initial investment of $10,000-$20,000. โIt was me, myself and I โ and lots of hours of work,โ she says of the early days.
By 2015, she and her nine staff were crammed into a two-room office above the Mon Purse store in Paddington with four desks, in the heat of summer, with a broken air-conditioner. And yet, they loved it. โWe would celebrate every time someone walked into the store and said โOoh, smell the leatherโ,โ Hopkins says.
Thatโs not to say running a start up business is easy. โItโs the hardest thing youโll ever do,โ admits Hopkins. โItโs sleepless nights, itโs never being in the same country for more than a week and itโs just completely exhausting.โ
After two years of sleepless nights, Mon Purse was valued at over $30 million in 2017. The business has 80 staff worldwide with departments in Myer stores across Australia, Selfridges in London, Manchester and Birmingham, as well as new departments in Bloomingdales in New York and San Francisco (opposite Louis Vuitton โ no less).
Last year, Sienna Miller personally requested a Mon Purse bag. So how often does Hopkins pinch herself? Quite often. โThe thing that shocks me the most is that this little dream of mine has become a reality,โ says Hopkins, who recently stepped down as the CEO of Mon Purse to focus on another exciting, yet-to-be-revealed venture. This month, sheโs sharing her secrets for success at the marie claire x Tech Ready Women start-up masterclass on May 25 and 26 (get your tickets here).
Here Hopkins shares her million-dollar-making tipsโฆ
Breakfast of champions: Iโm so bad at remembering to eat breakfast, but Iโve started drinking green juice.
Best advice: Talk less, listen more. I donโt always practice it, but I try.
Hardest lesson: Trust your gut instinct.
Top interview tip: Tell your life story instead of your career history. I want to meet the person sitting in front of me. The single most important thing when youโre hiring someone isnโt their experience (unless youโre hiring a neurosurgeon); itโs their attitude.
Coffee order: Soy Latte.
Wind down: Iโm all about the massage โ itโs the best way to unwind and not look at your phone for an hour.

A couple are facing jail time after staging the death of their premature baby on a London bus, asking strangers to help revive the lifeless body.
It was soon revealed the child had been dead for around 24 hours already.
Rosalin Baker, 25, boarded the bus with the three-month-old baby strapped to her chest, while her partner 52-year-old Jeffrey Wiltshire kissed her goodbye, giving her the thumbs up.
Around 20-minutes into the journey, Baker then alerted passengers, telling them her daughter had stopped breathing.
Immediately the distressed people surrounding her started trying to do CPR and save Imani but the little girl was already dead.
Upon arriving at the hospital, doctors revealed the child had died at least 24 hours ago, due to a fractured skull and brain injuries.
Jurors at the hearing were told that the week before her death, Imani was attacked three separate times, suffering 40 rib fractures, a broken wrist and severe head injuries.
While on the bus, Baker remained cold and calm, and it was revealed through call records that she sent her sister a text at the time, saying, โImani is dead sis x.โ
The Independent reports, both Baker and Wiltshire have been found guilty of causing or allowing the death of their daughter, and are facing up to 14-years jail time.

Kim Kardashian is well-known for wearing daring, and sometimes โ sorry Kim โ downright awful outfits, so it should come as no surprise that sheโs now decided to wear see-through tights, with, what can only be described as that-comfy-bra-you-never-wear-out-of-the-house.
The reality TV star shared her latest look to Twitter, with a pretty controversial caption of โflu got me likeโฆโ
Though Kim posted a link to her website to โshop the look,โ people were quick to shut her down, saying things such as, โFashion? Leggings and a sports bra? No, thatโs called half-dressed.โ

Aussie actress and film industry superstar Margot Robbie has added yet another accomplishment to her growing list โ a feature in Time Magazineโs 100 Most Influential People of 2017.
The blonde beauty was honoured by The Wolf Of Wall Street director and veteran of the silver screen Martin Scorsese, who explained: โMargot is stunning in all she is and all she does, and she will astonish us forever.โ
Robbie is named alongside fellow heavyweight Hollywood actors Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds.

In his glowing admiration of Robbie, Scorsese described the *hilarious* reason Robbie beat out the likes of Blake Lively, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Amber Heard in auditions for the role of the sultry Naomi Lapaglia.
โShe clinched her part in The Wolf Of Wall Street during our first meeting โ by hauling off and giving Leonardo DiCaprio a thunderclap of a slap on the face, an improvisation that stunned us all.โ

The Aussie A-lister obviously left quite an impression on the producers, as she was quickly cast and went on to receive widespread critical acclaim for her performance in the 2013 blockbuster, which details the rise and fall of corrupt stockbroker, Jordan Belfort (played by Leonardo Dicaprio).

Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markleโs relationship looks (read: is rumoured) to be going so well that the actress has the tick of approval from the royal family, she might soon be quitting her job on Suits and moving into the palace, and hopes of another royal wedding are high, the only time Prince Harry has actually formally addressed the situation is when he released that statement back in November of last year.
And, as one reporter just found out, heโs not about to gush over his girlfriend in public anytime soon.
Sky Newsโ reporter Rhiannon Mills was interviewing Prince Harry about the Heads Together campaign he, Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently promoting, when she asked about Meghan Markle.
โYou seem in a really good place at the moment, you seem very focused on what you want to do, but you also seem to be very happy. Is that partly to do with having a lady in your life?โ she said.
โI think, I think the point that weโve learnt over this campaign is that if you talk, if youโre able and comfortable enough to be able to talk about certain issues, certain experiences, then you come out of it a far better person,โ Harry (expertly) replied.
โBut youโre in a good place at the moment?โ Mills pushed.
โYeah, of course, Iโm in a good place, weโre all in a good place, and we want the UK to be in a good place as well,โ the prince finished, totally shutting down Millsโ attempts at a royal love confession.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who generally keeps her private life out of the spotlight as much as possible, has opened up about being a mother, and the loneliness and isolation even someone with her status (and all the help in the world) can feel.
The refreshing statement comes just days after her brother-in-law Prince Harry opened up about his battles with mental health following the death of his mother, and her husband Prince Williamโs open conversation with Lady Gaga about her PTSD.
โIt is lonely at times and you do feel quite isolated, but actually so many other mothers are going through exactly what you are going through,โ Kate told the co-founders of the app โMushโ, which connects mums with each other, during a meeting at the Global Academy (via E!).
โIt is being brave enough, like you obviously were, to reach out to those around you.โ
The mother-of-two made similar remarks during a speech last month at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. โPersonally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience,โ she said.
โHowever, at times it has also been a huge challenge โ even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not.โ
โNothing can really prepare you for you the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother,โ she continued.
โIt is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love, and worry, all mixed together. Your fundamental identity changes overnight. You go from thinking of yourself as primarily an individual, to suddenly being a mother, first and foremost.โ
โAnd yet there is no rule book, no right or wrong โ you just have to make it up and do the very best you can to care for your family. For many mothers, myself included, this can, at times lead to lack of confidence and feelings of ignorance,โ the Duchess of Cambridge finished.

Congratulations are in order for Edwina Bartholomew!
The Sunrise presenter, 33, has announced that she is engaged to partner Neil Varcoe.
โOn this day, two wonderful weeks ago, the love of my life @neilwrites asked me to be his wife,โ she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the pair with their pet dog.
โAnd I saidโฆ ummโฆ. ahhโฆ let me have a thinkโฆ just kiddingโฆ YES. We are over the moon xxโ.
โProbably the secret to our relationship is we sleep apart,โ she told Mamamia.
โDuring the week he sleeps in one room and I sleep in the other.โ
โWe set up a noticeboard in our kitchen so that when I leave for work I leave him a note and then when I wake up thereโs something there,โ Bartholomew revealed.

Trying to create the illusion of full, luscious locks is a constant struggle for fine-haired girls. And while there are plenty hair thickening products and different styling techniques that can help the cause, Bobbi Brown Pro International Artist Amy Conway has a pretty unique trick that can help make your roots appear thicker and help counteract any sparse areas on your scalp.
Full disclosure: this trick works better on brunettes and dark blondes, as the contrast between hair and scalp is much more noticeable.
โUsing a brow brush and powder, take your brow colour through the hairline to help make your hair look thicker. Literally buff it through the scalp area, and that instantly picks it up.โ
This is also a great trick for those who have a really light scalp, as it can help neutralise the white tone and bring it down to match the rest of your face, and can even be a quick fix to help cover greys (though our members rave about this product for a quick grey root touch-up!)

โThere have been plenty of times in my life Iโve had to suck things up โ but this was the most challenging time Iโve had to do that,โ she told InStyle Australia.

For some women, the throbbing pain of migraines is an uncomfortable reality of everyday life. In fact, 1.5 million women in Australia suffer from chronic migraines according to Headache Australia. But sometimes, your head pain can be a sign of something more serious.
One womanโs story, reported in PEOPLEearlier this week, shows the importance of distinguishing between pain caused by a migraine and other sources.
Lee Broadway, a 42-year-old mother from North Carolina in the US, passed away suddenly on April 3 after experiencing what she described as the โworst headacheโ of her life. It turned out to be a brain aneurysm, which is a weakness in a blood vessel in the brain which bulges and fills with blood.
An unruptured aneurysm will not cause any symptoms, however a ruptured aneurysm requires emergency medical treatment, and can be identified by a sudden, severe headache.
Lee Broadwayโs husband Eric told PEOPLE that while his wife suffered migraines regularly, he knew something was really wrong when she said this time was โdifferentโ.
โI raced home and took her to the ER,โ he said. โI knew this couldnโt be good because Iโve seen her deal with pain before.โ
The Mayo Clinic advises that if you experience a sudden, extremely severe headache that could be described as the โworst headache of your lifeโ then you should immediately call emergency services.
Samantha Harrington, M.D., backs up their advice, telling Allure that while the symptoms of a migraine and a brain aneurysm can be similar, the severity can differ, and the pain can come on more quickly.
โWhile migraines are hard to define, theyโre generally what people think of as a classic headache,โ says Samantha Harrington, M.D. โIn contrast, a brain aneurysm is an actual bleed inside the brain.โ
Pregnant women or women over 40 should also be particularly cautious if they notice any major changes, as they are at a higher risk.

2017 is set to be a massive year for Delta Goodrem. Fresh off her first season on House Husbands, with yet another season of The Voice on the way, the Australian sweetheart has somehow found the time to launch her first ever fragrance, Delta by Delta Goodrem.
We sat down with the star to find out just how she does it โ and got talking about the products (and person!) that saved her skin, her beauty essentials and why she wonโt say no to a treat or two.
How often do you wear perfume?
I put it on just before I go out on stage, always. I have it with me backstage. And before I do any TV, anything, itโs the very last thing I do. Before I walk out anywhere, whenever I want to feel my absolute best, my perfume is part of my ritual.
What kind of perfume did you want to create?
It had to have a freshness and last all day, but also a depth that still gave you strength. It had to have the right mix of freshness and confidence and give you energy, but also have the โdonโt mess with me, Iโm a lady bossโ factor.
Whatโs your daily beauty routine?
Being in the public eye from a young age, Iโve gone through different skin concerns โ your skin will definitely talk to you about what it wants. Youโve got to look after it and give it what it needs. Iโm pretty combination and my skin reacts easily so I have to be religious about taking all my make-up off โ I actually get really excited to take my make-up off when I get home! Iโm really good about putting eye cream on and moisturising and toning and I wear sunscreen every day.
What skincare products do you swear by?
I use the Dr Spiller Collagen Cream and love that, and I use retinol at night. I also use a lot of Aspect products. But Ella Bache is my big favourite; their Floral Oil is actually amazing on my skin. And their eye and lip cleanser, to take off make-up, is the best product ever.
Are there any treatments you swear by?
I see Melanie Grant and she has been a huge angel to me. She brought my skin back to life, seriously. She really cares about skin โ I get Omnilux and various amazing treatments with her.
I love highlighting and contouring. Iโve got strong cheekbones, like my mother, so I tend to enjoy accentuating them.
Whatโs your approach to health and fitness?
I try to keep a fit and healthy life. Balance is everything โ working hard enough but also getting your treats. I do like going to the gym though. I mix it up โ I like playing tennis, basketball, swimming, boxing, all of it.
Are you on team clean eating?
No. I am all about everything in moderation. Iโve never been disciplined enough to say, โIโm not going to have that tiny snack.โ But I love healthy food too. If you put healthy food in front of me, Iโll eat it. If you put junk food in front of me, Iโll eat that too. But I do enjoy fueling my body with healthy things. Itโs about being conscious of what your bodyโs telling you.
For me, staying sane comes from finding time in nature. I have to spend time in nature and I have to have my own time, amongst all of it. Itโs how I find clarity.

Whatโs standing between you and a gorgeously glowing complexion? Most likely, the absence of one key product: a beauty oil.
If, despite your best efforts, your skin looks dehydrated, dull or dry, adding a few drops of liquid gold to your daily routine could be just what the dermatologist ordered. This is why.
1/ Hydrate oily skin (sans breakouts)
Those with oily and combination skin types tend to flee at the mere suggestion of facial oil, but choose the right type and youโll find itโs a fast-track to a clear and balanced complexion. Just ensure you use one thatโs non-comedogenic (i.e. it wonโt make you break out) like rosehip or jojoba. Pore-clogging coconut oil is a no-go (save this for body and hair only). We love the Trilogy Rosehip Oil Light Blend, which is specifically designed for oily and combination skin types and can actually help regulate your skinโs oil production, while providing much-needed moisture.
Trilogy Rosehip Oil Light Blend, $35.95.
2/ Nourish skin naturally
With global pollution levels rising, daily exposure to all kinds of chemicals is unavoidable. But one of the simplest ways to reduce your daily chemical load is by switching to natural skincare. Incorporating a pure plant oil into your routine is a 100 per cent natural way to nourish your skin โ use alone after cleansing or mix a few drops into your moisturiser to boost your skinโs natural barrier protection against free radicals and pollution.
3/ Get a natural glow
That dewy complexion you crave? Thereโs an instant way to get it (and it doesnโt involve Instagram filters). One of the reasons facial oils are so popular is the radiant finish they impart to the skin โ no greasy highlighting cream required. โI like to mix a few drops of facial oil into my foundation before a special event, as it helps give a dewy, weightless finish,โ says marie claire beauty director Lucy Adams.
4/ Deliver much-needed nutrients
A pure plant oil like rosehip is packed full of skin-loving ingredients, including essential fatty acids and antioxidants (vital for fighting free radical damage). The Trilogy Rosehip Oil Light Blend also contains jojoba oil (rich in pro-vitamin A and E) and tomato seed oil (full of carotinoid and lipid antioxidants) so itโs a veritable superfood for your skin. Which brings us to our next pointโฆ
5/ Fight fine lines and wrinkles
With its hydrating and glow-giving properties combined, thereโs nothing quite like a beauty oil to leave skin instantly softer and smoother, while simultaneously working to reduce fine lines and wrinkles over time. Devote a minute or two to gently patting it in morning and night and youโll reap the added benefits of boosting circulation and relieving tension in your face, too.

Powerful. Dramatic. Spot-lit. This Sydney Theatre Company stage is the perfect setting for our grandest fashion doyenne, who today showed her Spring โ17 collection, three weeks ahead of Australian fashion week.
Outside, Harbour views glitter, but in here itโs all about giving Carla Zampatti, and her post show girl gang, an appropriate backdrop to shine.
The designer is standing beneath the biggest crystal chandelier itโs possible to hire in Australia (2.2 metres high, had to be assembled on site) and in front of a giant rendering, in 20 carat gold leaf, of her family crest.
At first Zampatti is flanked by her models, in white, red, cobalt and molten silver slinky dresses, sculptural jumpsuits and puffy โ80s power sleeves.
Then the models are whipped off the stage and replaced by a posse of Australian It girls, plucked from the front row. They are all dressed in Zampattiโs gear too.
โI love being back in this theatre!โ says actor Krew Boylan, who last graced this particular stage when she starred in the play Tusk Tusk in 2010.
โIt makes great sense to be here,โ says Emma Lung, a fellow thesp, who looks like a French new wave starlet in her midnight blue velvet Carla Zampatti jacket. โI mean, Carla is a great patron of the arts. She loves the STC, and I loved the billowing silhouettes she just showed โ very dramatic.โ
Plus the theatre setting probably helps get the actor crowd in. Anna Bamford is mysterious in black. Newcomer Nicole da Silva turns heads in nude suede. Sarah Ellen looks electric in red velvet. Shoe designer Terry Biviano and blogger Brooke Testoni came in matching military tailoring with gold frogging, while Singer Dami Im deserves mention โ her liquid gold pants suit is hot stuff.
Amidst all the drama, Zampatti looks ice cool as usual. Sheโs in her signature white tuxedo jacket with nothing underneath it, and dark glasses. A provocative gold necklace slung like a lasso around her neck.
โI am most often dressed in black and white, but when I do embrace colour I usually go for red or bright blue,โ she says. โRed to me means energy and confidence. Thatโs what my woman is all about.โ
Asked about the โ80s influence coming through this season, Zampatti speaks fondly of a decade when, โWomen became really confident and strong in many ways for the first time. Thatโs a feeling I tried to capture. The โ80s was a lovely period.โ
Fifty-two years after presenting her first collection at the Sydney Opera House, Zampatti admits she still gets a bit of stage fright. โI donโt look forward to shows,โ she confesses as a camera flashes in her face. โI like them when they are done. The processโฆsome people love doing shows, but itโs not my favourite partโฆFor me the fun part is the design, putting the collection together. Thatโs what I love.โ

Dendy Cinemas around Australia have taken a stand against the controversial new film exploring the menโs rights movement.
The movie was created by American filmmaker Cassie Jaye, who documents her journey to discovering what drives the menโs rights movement. A self-described feminist, Jaye begins to question her beliefs when investigating an alternate perspective on gender equality, power and privilege. In doing so, she explores issues like the rate of suicide for men, sexual assault and custody issues.
News.com.au reports that there have been a number of cancellations of The Red Pill movie screenings around Australia, including at Kino Palace Cinemas in Melbourne, Dendy Newtown and Dendy Canberra. This has largely been driven by feminist protests and petitions against the movieโs โmisogynisticโ agenda.
The USU at the University of Sydney has also banned the film from being shown on union premises, and released a statement to explain their reasoning.
โThe Red Pill is purported to be a film which highlights issues specific to men in our society,โ the statement read. โThe USU is obviously supportive of efforts to bring awareness to, and to combat, issues such as the higher suicide rate for men than women.
โThe reality of The Red Pill, however, is much more sinister. This documentary is decidedly anti-feminist and anti-woman, focusing not on the ways in which the systemic issues of patriarchy may also adversely affect men, but instead placing the blame on women and feminism specifically for menโs issues.โ
The USU took issue with the fact that the film is โrooted in an ideology which ultimately dehumanises women, seeing them merely as sex objects who exist primarily to purposefully negatively impact the lives of menโ, and suggested that it had the โcapacity to intimidate and physically threaten women on campusโ.
Cassie Jaye has even responded to the statement, arguing that feminists need to hear the other side of the story.
โIf you ask someone who deeply cares about gender equality to look into menโs issues, that person is going to realise that men have issues that deserve to be addressed, and that is what happened when I was making The Red Pill.
โWhen I decided to look into the Menโs Rights Movement, I realised that gender equality goes beyond feminism. Gender equality requires looking at the bigger picture, which includes menโs experiences.โ

It turns out a slew of your favourite celebrities might actually be bad ass criminals.
While theyโre certainly not Hollywoodโs real-life answer to Suicide Squad (sorry to disappoint), at least 90 celebs and Instagram influencers are in big trouble with the FTC for not disclosing when a social media post has been sponsored.
If you thought the โ#adโ hashtag at the end of (very obvious) advertisements on your feed were just celebsโ way of distancing themselves from the often super cringe photos theyโre being paid to post, itโs actually because itโs illegal not to state exactly that.
Earlier today, the Federal Trade Commission released a statement saying it has sent letters to almost 100 famous celebrities or Insta-stars reminding them of the rules surrounding paid posts, including anything given as a gift by a brand (AKA those free private jets the Jenners and Hadids have been zipping around in, of late).
While the statement didnโt disclose the exact recipients of said letter, The Fashion Lawseems to have a pretty fair idea, stating, โthe Kardashian/Jenners, A$AP Rocky, David and Victoria Beckham; actresses Anne Hathaway, Blake Lively, Ashley Benz, Shay Mitchell, and Lucy Hale; models Bella and Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk, Emily Ratajkowski, Naomi Campbell, Chrissy Teigen, and Heidi Klum; Scott Disick, Pharrell, Steph Curry, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Drake, One Direction members Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan; and Jennifer Lopezโ were among those whose names were specifically mentioned to the FTC.
Among other things, the letter addresses that on mobile, viewers only see the top three lines of captions and have to click โmoreโ to read the rest. Therefore, it should be obvious within the first sentence when a post is sponsored.
It also points out that hashtags such as โ#spโ and โ#partnerโ, as well as โThanks [Brand]โ werenโt enough, so prepare for some painful captions in the very near future.

Netflixโs new show 13 Reasons Why has completely blown up worldwide. The series, which is focused on American teenager Hannah Bakerโs life โ or more so โ why she chose to end it, covers some intense topics not often portrayed so openly.
A recurring theme of suicide (including pretty graphic scenes), sexual assault, mental illness and bullying makes the show, at times, quite confronting, with some questioning whether itโs suitable for the young audience itโs aimed at.
The importance of the message theyโre conveying to millions isnโt lost on the cast, with main characters Katherine Langford (who plays Hannah) and Dylan Minnette (who plays Clay Jensen) explaining on numerous occasions their hopes that the series will open up the conversation about suicide and depression, and show others going through a hard time that there are other options available to them.
Now, Dylan has revealed that some of the scenes they were filming were so intense that the crew brought therapy dogs to the set.
Speaking to Popsugar, the actor said, โThere was a puppy per hour. They really tried to help out. The puppies helped.โ
โ[Katherine] had the brunt of the emotional stuff. I mean, we all have very emotional parts, but this is about her character.โ
Selena Gomez, who is one of the showโs producers and who has been very open about her mental health struggles in the past (even checking into a rehabilitation centre in August of last year), has also spoken about the showโs significance.
I see myself in Hannah so much. Seven years ago I did and even more so today, which I think is funny because itโs backwards,โ she told The Hollywood Reporter.
โThe older I get the more insecure I get, which is odd. But thatโs something a lot of people can relate to. Her personality is a quiet strength.
Iโve never really been the one to be in anyoneโs face. A lot of girls feel like they have to be a certain way for attention.
Social media has amplified all of that. I get that she didnโt want that to be what her life was.โ

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in the process of finalising their divorce, but Angelina has already set her sights on her new house.
The actress has reportedly made an offer for $25 million on an estate that was previously owned by Cecil B. DeMille, an American filmmaker.
The property was built in 1913, and is located in gated community Laughlin Park in Los Feliz. It boasts six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, which will easily accommodate Angelina Jolie and her six children.

A judge in the US state of Utah has faced backlash for praising a rapist when sentencing him to jail for sexually abusing two women.
Judge Thomas Low became emotional when sentencing ex-Mormon bishop Keith Robert Vellejo, who had been convicted of 10 counts of forcible sexual abuse and one count of object rape.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Low said, โThe court has no doubt that Mr Vallejo is an extraordinary, good man. But great menโฆ sometimes do bad things.โ
In February, a jury found Vallejo guilty of inappropriately touching two women multiple times at his home in 2013 and 2014. One of his alleged victims was Julia Kirby, Lowโs 19-year-old sister-in-law, and the other was a relative.
After the sentencing, Kirby told the Tribune that she was shocked by the judgeโs praise of her abuser and plans to file a judicial complaint against him.
Vallejo was sentenced to one-to-15 years in prison for each of the sexual abuse charges, and a five-year-to-life term for the object rape charge.
Kirby said she hoped the judge would order consecutive sentences because there were two victims.
In the sentencing, the judge also addressed Kirby directly and told her she was โa survivor.โ That would have been little comfort to her and the other victim who had to recount their horrific experience in a courtroom, only for the judge to praise their attacker in their presence.

A chance conversation at a LโOreal event has put Blake Lively front and centre of the fight to stop child pornography โ and track down those who produce and use it.
The actress has teamed up with global organisation Child Rescue Coalition to promote new technology that can track the IP address of anyone who โshare and download sexually explicit images of minors,โ Variety reports.
Lively met Child Rescue Coalition CEO Carly Yoost at the event, and has since been vocal in her support of the organisationโs work.
โThere are millions of files all over the world being traded every single day of child pornography,โ she says. โItโs so disturbing. A lot of these people are fathers.โ
Says Yoost of meeting Lively: โWe hit it off, and weโre both passionate about protecting kids. We stayed in touch, and she really wanted to help. She got us a meeting at a technology summit at Facebook.โ
Yoostโs current mission is to convince internet providers to block users from sharing child pornography, with research suggesting that 85 per cent of those who consume it have abused children.
So far, Child Rescue Coalitionโs work has led to the arrest of 9000 people and rescued 2084 children from abuse across 67 countries.
After meeting Yoost, Lively shared the below post on her Instagram account, writing, โIโm deeply grateful to have spent time with Carly Yoost who โ through her company โ Child Rescue Coalition โ has helped to arrest 8000 child predators and has saved 1900 children so far from online predators and hands-on abusers.โ
โPlease check out her program if you want to contribute in making the world safer for our children. Itโs funded solely through charity and grants, so she needs all the help she can get.โ

Irina Shayk and Bradly Cooper welcomed their first child, a daughter named Lea de Seine, less than a month ago, but this Victoriaโs Secret model is wasting no time sharing photos of her post-baby body.
In the picture, Shayk is seen relaxing on a pool float, with the caption โ#currentsituationโ โ you know, just to make it very clear that the photo is not a throwback โ AKA this is seriously how she looks mere weeks after popping out a child.
Being a Victoriaโs Secret model, who clearly works incredibly hard to stay in shape (and was obviously was blessed with ridiculously good genes), itโs highly likely Shaykโs bod really has already gone back to its slim shape.
After all, she did walk the Victoriaโs Secret runway in her second trimester, without anyone noticing her bump at all until days later when her pregnancy was revealed.
However, the comments section of her new postpartum pic shows that her fans are pretty divided over the post.
Some are praising the 31-year-old for her fit physique, saying she obviously worked hard to stay in shape throughout her pregnancy.
Others are shaming her for promoting unachievable and unrealistic body expectations so soon after giving birth.
While itโs easy to look at Shaykโs body and either judge her for not posting a photo of her newborn, or criticise her about how fast she dropped weight, Chrissy Teigen put it perfectly last year when she got real about pregnancy in Hollywood.
โAnyone in the public eye, we have all the help we could ever need to be able to shed everything,โ she said to TODAY.
โSo I think people get this jaded sensation that everybodyโs losing it so quickly, but we just happen to be the ones who are out there. We have nutritionists, we have dietitians, we have trainers, we have our own schedules, we have nannies. We have people who make it possible for us to get back into shape. But nobody should feel like thatโs normal, or like thatโs realistic.โ
I sure think that if I had the above help, plus those handy supermodel genes, Iโd be pretty quick to post a bikini snap, too.

While Zoe Foster Blake already has one child, Sonny Foster Blake, with her husband Hamish, sheโs picked up a lot more pregnancy tips the second time around.
She shared a post on Instagram to give other women tips on products to buy when theyโre pregnant, and there are some good tips in there.
โI didnโt wear overalls last pregnancy and I feel like such a friggen dunce. Theyโre the best! I live in them! Waistbands can suck a doz! Because A) I always want recommendations and therefore assume everyone else does, and B) maternity attire, generally speaking, sucks,โ she wrote.
Active Truth tights โ over the bump, with thick, flattering fabric. Bought in first tri and theyโre growing happily with me. Nice maternity active wear is impossible to find: why? Come on Lulu/Nike et al โ preggos exercise too
Bendon crop top โ the classic not-super-flattering-but-very-comfy-crop top (I tried the CK one to be cool but it cut in and pissed me off) and Bonds maternity bras
Bras N Things Lucile Bralette because the last thing these tatas need is padding. And all wire-free bras are padded. Why? Bought one in each colour
Seed denim (the elastic waist ones but in a size up, theyโre a good ankle-skimming length and skinny shape, and also the drop crotch soft denim ones) and also Ripe Maternity denim, the black skinny leg ones
Overalls โ mine are Hatch x Current Elliot, which I bought online with some other Hatch stuff that Iโm yet to wear, in honesty
ASOS maternity and ZARA for basic tees and little cheapie fun smock dresses
Bassike tees and soft cotton pants
Kookai for stretchy tight dresses โ cotton for summersies; wool for wintersies โ great as a skirt over tights, or with heels HA HA AS IF, on toast etc etc
She also recommends wearing a โhorrible dressing gown from the fiery depths of hellโ, for maximum comfort.
The best part about a lot of these products is that they are not maternity specific, so even if youโre not pregnant you can wear them to be comfy!

Kendall Jenner is the first to admit that sheโs always โfelt more of a Jenner than a Kardashian.โ
The 21-year-old has always felt out of place amongst her famous siblings, speaking to Harpers Bazaar US she revealed, โI mean, Iโm a girl and I like being a girl, but Iโve just never been into it like they have. I think I get that from my dad.โ
She added that sheโs โalways been the different one.โ
Another thing Kendall Jenner wonโt be emulating from her sisters is living out her personal life with partners in the public eye, in other words she telling fans who she is dating. Jenner says she likes to keep an element of โmysteryโ between her and her followers, more than the rest of my family, I guess.
โJust because I think itโs powerful. Plus, I think people always want what they canโt have. Itโs nice to have some mystery.โ

Serena Williams made a very mysterious post on Snapchat last night, hinting that sheโs 20 weeks pregnant.
She posted an image of herself in a yellow swimsuit captioned โ20 weeksโ.
The tennis star deleted the snapchat soon after, and hasnโt made a statement yet about her pregnancy.
It is possible that she could be just joking about a โfood babyโ but the fact that she deleted the pic suggests that it might have been an accidental post.
If she is 20 weeks pregnant, amazingly it would mean that she won the Australian Open while she was two months pregnant โ no small feat! This was also her 23rd Grand Slam win.
Serena Williams is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian โ they announced their engagement four months ago.
Williams also had people speculating she was pregnant when she recently shared a photo on Instagram saying she was โFighting to get up this morningโ, which could hint at morning sickness.
