Laneway Festival has just dropped its 2026 line up, and it’s the fiercest one yet. Leading out the charge for next year’s festivities is pop’s unapologetic, new icon Chappell Roan, whose glitter drenched theatricality has made her the breakout star for the past year and a half.
For Laneway’s 21st birthday, the festival isn’t playing it safe – it’s serving up a boundary-pushing roster that blends cult indie heroes with chart-shaping newcomers, promising the most electric and exciting editions in recent memory.
And if like us, you’re one for the girls, this is by all means the show to get behind, from sultry rnb goddess PinkPanthress, to indie darlings Wet Leg, here is a break down of who you’ll be lining up for at Laneway 2026.
Who Is Headlining Laneway?
From her vibrant campy-cowgirl aesthetics to soaring anthems, Chappell Roan has been redefining a new era of pop music. Her headline set at Laneway will be the second time she is stepping back onto our shores, after visiting for her debut tour in November 2023. And if fellow sister in arms Charlie XCX’s 2025 Laneway set is anything to go by, it’ll be one for the books.
When Is Laneway Festival 2026 Happening?
Laneway Festival will start the tour route off in New Zealand before making its way throughout Australia. Exact dates and information below:
- Thursday 5 February – Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland
- Saturday 7 February – Yugambeh Jagun/Gold Coast
- Sunday 8 February – Eora/Sydney
- Friday 13 February – Naarm/Melbourne
- Saturday 14 February – Tarndanya/Adelaide
Where Will Laneway Festival 2026 Take Place?
With six stops across Australia and New Zealand the festival will be back on common soil. The festival kicks off in Auckland on February 5, before heading to the Gold Coast (Feb 7), Sydney’s Centennial Park (Feb 8), Melbourne’s Flemington Park (Feb 13), Adelaide Showgrounds (Feb 14), before wrapping in Perth at Arena Joondalup (Feb 15). Each city promises its own mix of energy and atmosphere to welcome in the New Year.

Currently, no sideshows have yet been announced for Laneway 2026, but if other years are an indicator we could expect a few surprise sets.
