The 2025 Prime Time Emmy Awards are here to give our favourite shows and their stars the accolades they deserve. This year marks the 77th Emmy Awards ceremony, presented by the Television Academy of the U.S., and is held live in Los Angeles Peacock Theatre.
With streaming platforms elevating television production in recent years, it’s suffice to say competition to take home a coveted Emmy award is hotter than ever.
In 2025, shows premiering between June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025 were eligible for a gong. Unsurprisingly, The White Lotus and Severance lead the nominees both with 10 nods across various categories.
Fan favourites such as Nobody Wants This, The Last Of Us, Shrinking and Abbott Elementary are also among the nominated shows. With Hollywood’s biggest names making the pivot to TV more and more, we’re expecting a star-studded red carpet with exceptional glitz and glamour.
Where To Watch The 2025 Emmys In Australia?
Held on September 14th in the U.S, the Emmys will air in Australia on the morning of September 15th. The Emmys will be available to stream on BINGE and Foxtel with the formalities kicking off from 10am AEST.
Who Is Hosting The 2025 Emmy Awards?
The 2025 Emmy’s ceremony is being hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze. You may recognize the host from a few stints on Saturday Night Live or his sold-out standup shows.
On his hosting gig, Bargatze said: “We will make jokes, so I’m going to fit along with what award shows do and make fun of the situation – but I’ll make fun of myself as well. We can do it in a good, fun way.”
Bargatze told CNN, “I want the night to just be fun and silly and keep it moving. Let’s be exciting. And let’s be entertainment for the people at home watching. That’s what we are.”
