Instagram is rife with women emulating the Kardashians’ distinctive beauty look – you have them to thank for the contouring, matte lip and strobing phenomenons. But these two Dubai sisters look almost exactly like Kimmy K and Kylie Jenner – and they say it’s completely coincidental.
That isn’t Kim and Kylie in the above Instagram – it’s Sonia and Fyza Ali. Told you the resemblance was spooky.
The beauty and lifestyle blogging sisters hail from Dubai and at time of writing, have 540k Instagram followers to their name. They’re also make-up artists, according to their profile page, and take the same sort of shots we’re used to seeing on Kylie and Kim’s pages – think glammed-up make-up, Snapchat filters and face mask selfies galore.
Sonia and Fyza insist they don’t see the similarities – and neither do those close to them. “Our close friends and family are so used to seeing us they have never seen a resemblance,” they told Emirates Woman. “It’s only when we are out together people constantly point it out—people that don’t know us at all!—especially in the States.”
According to Stylecaster, the sisters’ make-up artist gigs led them to an E! event where they bumped into their doppelgängers, but they “avoided eye contact.”
Fingers crossed for a showdown between the duos on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians soon.

In one of the most shocking scandals the British health industry has ever seen, UK breast cancer surgeon Dr Ian Paterson has been sentenced to 15 years’ jail for carrying out “extensive, life-changing operations for no medically justifiable reason.”
He was convicted of 17 counts of wounding with intent and three counts of unlawful wounding last month.
Dr Paterson led perfectly healthy women, and at least one man, to believe they had breast cancer and needed to undergo surgery – all of which was completely untrue.
10 victims stood trial – nine women and one man – but now that the case has closed over 500 of the rogue surgeon’s patients are seeking compensation, the Guardian reports.
“His actions sicken me – I think he’s a monster,” Carole Johnson, who was needlessly operated on five times by Dr Paterson, told The Sun outside court. “I do not think I can find it within my heart to ever forgive him.”
Another victim, Patricia Welch, told The Sun: “He had my complete trust and I believed what he said. When I looked in the mirror I saw someone who survived cancer.”
“Now, when I look in the mirror I see a victim of Ian Paterson, who took away part of being a woman. No prison sentence would ever compensate for what myself and the others have gone through.”
It’s unclear what drove Dr Paterson to commit the grotesque crimes. Now, his victims are calling for a public inquiry into how this was allowed to go on for so long – and for his “co-conspirators” to be called out.

It hasn’t been a great year for women. Five months down and the gender pay gap is still at 16% in Australia, abortion remains a crime in New South Wales, and Trump is still allowed on Twitter.
Thankfully Wonder Woman is here to save the day! The much-anticipated Marvel film directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Israeli actress Gal Gadot hit cinemas today and it’s everything we hoped it would be. And then some.
It’s two hours and 21 minutes of badassery. There are Amazonian warriors, flying kicks aplenty and a truth lasso. Victoria’s Secret Model Doutzen Kroes stabs a man in the heart, for god’s sake.
The hero of the movie is of course Gadot, who, playing the title character, single handedly ends a war (with a little help from Chris Pine). As Wonder Woman/Princess of the Amazons/Diana, Gadot is strong and captivating – and also quite funny. When she is told women wear corsets to keep their tummies in, she says, “But why would someone want to keep their tummy in?” Exactly.
More than being a damn fine movie – the reviews are insane – Wonder Woman is also a massive achievement for female-led films and powerful female stories.
We all know the theory that Superheroine movies don’t make money is unfounded, but Wonder Woman is going to put an end to it once and for all.
When I walked into the 11:30am screening this morning, the cinema was filled with men. Sure, they may have just been there to see Doutzen Kroes in her Amazonian armor, but regardless of their motives, they all paid $26 to see a female superhero movie. End of story.
The best part of all? This film is an origin tale, meaning it’s only the beginning.

It has been described as the greatest medical scandal in Australian history and worse than the Thalidomide disaster. Hundreds of women across Australia have suffered horrific side effects from transvaginal mesh implants, a simple medical device used to treat prolapse or incontinence. Victorian mother-of-two Janine Lacey, 45, is one of those women and shares her story.
My first baby was 10 pound two. I had quite a complicated birth and had stress urinary incontinence after that. It wasn’t anything major, but in 2012 I decided that I needed to claim that part of my life back. I was previously really active, but I struggled even going to the gym.
I investigated having some kind of ‘sling’ put in to support that. I was so excited, and I was only 39 when I had that put in and I still had the rest of my life to look forward to. I worked at a private hospital and thought I understood informed financial consent.
My gynaecologist and I talked about complications, and I was told rarely is there a complication—it was very uncommon. At my very last appointment, just before the surgery, I asked, “How long does the mesh last? Does it need to be replaced?”
The doctor looked at me and said, “Oh, studies have been, we’re not really sure but it does do the job.”
Janine Lacey received a Transvaginal Mesh Implant at 39
It was meant to be a one night stay in hospital. But post-op I had so much go wrong. I never saw my surgeon, I only saw the registrar who had assisted him in the surgery. Every time I stood up, I vomited. I could not tilt my pelvis— the pain was excruciating. I couldn’t urinate at all and was unable to have a bowel movement. I ended up staying three nights in hospital and got sent home with a catheter.
On the day I left hospital I had three bowel movements in the car – it was the most humiliating thing I’ve ever experienced, ever. Once home, I had to lie down from about midday because I had this sharp, stinging pain in my vagina. I just thought it was post-op pain. My gynaecologist also thought I was still healing after the mesh insertion.
As the months went by, I’d get home from work every day and would have to lie on my bed and rest. I would push myself to make dinner but then my husband would have to do all of the cleaning up, all of the running around with the kids because I was in so much pain. It was this sharp, barbed wire pain that wouldn’t go away.
It got to the point that in the afternoons I couldn’t walk for long periods and would dream of just lying down on my bed, to the point where I would almost be crying.
I had this pain for three years and multiple infections. When I passed urine it started to feel like razorblades. Intercourse was impossible. It was excruciating. My relationship with my husband was breaking down really badly.
Three years in, I ended up getting a second opinion and organised to have a cystoscopy. The mesh had eroded transversely through my urethra.
I was referred on to a professor, a urogynecologist, who was hesitant to touch me because if he removed the mesh, my symptoms would be more profound. My stress urinary incontinence would come back and I would probably have other problems.
I remember feeling the worst I’ve ever felt. My GP helped me organise a mental health plan and I went to see a psychologist. The psychologist was amazing, she even got teary with me, she also couldn’t believe what had happened.
My urogynaecologist and I decided the mesh absolutely needed to come out, and my surgeon had found a way to partially remove the mesh from my urethra that hadn’t really been tried before.
“The psychologist…even got teary with me, she also couldn’t believe what had happened.”
We chose the partial removal and it worked, and I was pain-free from the minute I woke up—it was insane. The post-op pain was actually less than my pain that I’d had for years.
As of two months ago, I’m getting a different type of sharp, barbed wire pain again when I sit. I also have this pain, called pudendal neuralgia. It’s this excruciating pain you get up your rectum for no reason. I’ve had to almost call an ambulance on two occasions because I can’t overcome this pain. No one knows why.
But my story is nothing compared to what some Australian women are going through.
Surgeons are meant to report device complications to the Therapeutics Goods Association, and this isn’t happening, so the regulatory body doesn’t have accurate information. My AMS Monarc sling has now been banned from being used in Australia. If a medication has diabolical effects, they often can recall the medication and then contact whoever has been affected. They have no way of recalling all those women who have my sling in them.
There needs to be a solution that is regulated and reported. I have a good knowledge of the medical system, and I still got sucked in and damaged, so what hope do your everyday women have?
Janine’s photograph of the mesh that caused her so much pain
NOTE:
A spokeswoman for the Therapeutic Goods Administration told marie claire they had received 226 “adverse event” reports relating to urogynaecological meshes to date.
“When complications did occur it found that this was closely linked to the skill and training of the surgeon and the patient selection,” the spokeswoman said.
A Senate Inquiry is currently underway into the impact of transvaginal mesh implants across Australia. The Health Issues Centre has also conducted a nationwide survey on women’s experiences with the implants, with close to 2000 respondents. Of the 1571 women who have undergone mesh implants, about half say they have been adversely affected by it. A startling 30% of those women said the impact was “debilitating”, while 12% said it was “unendurable”.

Caitlyn Jenner’s controversial tell-all book has left her family feeling betrayed–as we’re about to see on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Jenner’s memoir, The Secrets Of My Life, left Kendall the most visibly distraught. The model can be seen banging on Kris’ kitchen table shouting, “It’s insane, mum, that’s insane!”
Kim who later discusses the book with Kourtney (above) says that she has read the entire book, which was released in April. Kim and Kourtney are most upset by Caitlyn’s allegations that Kris Jenner was the reason Caitlyn didn’t speak to her children from her previous marriage, and that Kris pocketed the former Olympians earnings.
In an extract published byPeople Caitlyn claims she wasn’t always “entirely comfortable” with their sex life.
“We fall in love quickly (we marry after seven months). Since — let’s not kid ourselves — everyone wants to know, Kris and I have good and frequent sex at the beginning,” Caitlyn writes.
“I tell Kris about my gender issues before I make love to her. This will always be a subject of dispute between us. She insists that she was taken by surprise by my ultimate transition to Caitlyn, which obviously means in her mind that she did not know enough.”
The former Olympian claims that her ex-wife was fully aware of her gender identity issues and that she even dressed a woman in front of Kris many times.
“I have bought makeup how-to books. I keep the books, along with my meager collection of clothing, in a small closet with a lock in the back of my closet. Kris and I have negotiated this, since she is terrified, as I am, of the kids finding something.”

In case you missed it, newlyweds Pippa Middleton and James Matthews are currently enjoying a stop on their whirlwind honeymoon right here in Sydney. Staying at the ultra-luxe Park Hyatt hotel in Circular Quay, the couple have already climbed the harbour bridge and taken a spin on the water, and we couldn’t help but notice Middleton’s chic choice of outfits along the way.
The new bride chose a printed Kate Spade dress for a day exploring Sydney, which included a waist-cinching belt and a tassel adorned necktie—the type of fun touch the New York-based label is known for. The feminine fit-and-flare cut is super-flattering on Middleton, who styled the design with Persol sunglasses and a chain strap shoulder bag.
We also love Middleton’s choice of footwear—lace-up espadrilles. This quintessential holiday shoe is the perfect choice for a relaxing getaway, and has been making a subtle comeback lately.
Spotted wearing the shoes again—this time with a white ruffled blouse and classic blue jeans—Middleton proves the style is a versatile choice, and one we’re adding to our new season shopping list immediately!

Actress Chloë Grace Moretz has slammed the controversial marketing campaign of her latest movie, Red Shoes & the 7 Dwarfs, which has come under fire for body-shaming women.
A billboard for the animated film depicts two women side by side with the tagline: “What if Snow White was no longer beautiful and the 7 Dwarfs not so short?”
Plus-sized model Tess Holiday first called out the ad for sending a negative message to young girls.
“How did this get approved by an entire marketing team? Why is it okay to tell young kids being fat = ugly?” she posted on Twitter.
The film is a twist on the Snow White story with a bunch of princes trapped in the bodies of the seven dwarves.
Leaning of the campaign, Moretz clapped-back on Twitter.
“I have now fully reviewed the marketing for ‘Red Shoes,’” she wrote. “I am just as appalled and angry as everyone else, this wasn’t approved by me or my team. Please know I have let the producers of the film know. I lent my voice to a beautiful script that I hope you will all see in its entirety.”
A spokesperson for Locus Creative Studios told Page Six the marketing campaign has been terminated
“Our film, a family comedy, carries a message designed to challenge social prejudices related to standards of physical beauty in society by emphasising the importance of inner beauty,” he said.
“We sincerely regret any embarrassment or dissatisfaction this mistaken advertising has caused to any of the individual artists or companies involved with the production or future distribution of our film, none of whom had any involvement with creating or approving the now discontinued advertising campaign.”

Sometimes, we reach a year that, in hindsight, is a turning point. Whether you realise its importance at the time depends on your intuition. Whatever the case, there’s no avoiding a renewed outlook on life. More importantly, you undergo a change in your spiritual attitude – old ideals may be traded for newer beliefs, or your present commitment strengthens.
Aries (March 21 – April 20)
If self-discipline is one of your life lessons, you’re a strong candidate for the repeat class right now. Maybe it’s time to be less indulgent, and don’t cause disruption. Your relationships are also at odds, as is your bank balance. A week for caution.
Taurus (April 21 – May 20)
Quality time isn’t so easy to come by these days, so accept this short spell of fun and friendship as a gift from the heavens. You’d probably do well to befriend a Leo, as you’re both in the mood for mischief. Whatever happens, simply enjoy.
Gemini (May 21 to June 21)
Try as it might, the cosmos holds little chance of stopping a determined Gemini. Your communication skills are on side and you’re back in control. Even unexpected disruptions should work in your favour. Finances aren’t too dire either.
Cancer (June 22 – July 22)
The generous Cancer heart often rules the head, with love always on your mind – especially so this week, with strong emotions present. You’re also blessed with uncanny insights into how others feel. You now truly understand what loved ones both crave and need.
Leo (July 23 – August 23)
Life feels easier as the planets tip the focus more towards fun. Intimacies also take a gentler tone – welcome news for those whose personal affairs have seemed more like a war zone lately. Singles, too, are better placed to find a compatible companion.
Virgo (August 24 – September 22)
Just when you thought you could spend a little extra, along comes a setback. Okay, maybe it’s not you who’s in a financial flurry, but it’s someone close enough to make a dent in your immediate purchasing plans. You just can’t help being the saviour.
Libra (September 23 – October 23)
Certain things are better left unsaid. Provocative statements or tetchy remarks may draw angry responses. Sure, you have a right to know what’s going on – just don’t overstep the mark. You may talk yourself into a corner – or, perhaps, straight towards the exit sign.
Scorpio (October 24 – November 22)
You run smack bang into opposing egos, which pretty much sets the mood for the week. By all means, continue doing whatever you like. No one can deny your independence – but for the sake of harmony, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to compromise – just occasionally.
Sagittarius (November 23 – December 21)
This week keeps you constantly on the move, especially if you’re trying to balance work and home issues. Even so, you’re granted chances to play. Sagittarians are in the mood to throw financial caution to the wind. Just as well cash looks plentiful – even if it is borrowed.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 20)
When individuals are drawn to each other, the energies can occasionally be unstable. Sometimes, it’s two steps forward and one step back. The right balance for love to bloom takes patience. Even if you just achieve a friendship, there’s no loss. Just more love.
Aquarius (January 21 – February 18)
Sometimes it’s hard to stay motivated. Even so, it doesn’t hurt to tally up your talents – especially in moments of doubt. Not so deep down, you know your true abilities – so don’t downplay them. Never make yourself “small” to please others.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
If you doubt whether you’re making the right decisions this week, trust that you are. It’s also a time for friendships. What can you hope for? Unconditional support. Not only in the assistance that you offer, but in the encouragement and love that’s so readily returned.

Seven Year Switch couple Michael and Felicity have had more to worry about than just their relationship.
After rushing their two-year-old son, Orlando, to hospital following a severe seizure, they found out that the toddler suffers from epilepsy.

Felicity says that ever since Orlando’s prognosis, she has daily anxiety attacks.
“I get so anxious now when I put him to bed, because most of his seizures happen when he is asleep,” the mum-of-two tellsNew Idea.
“Every morning when I go to his room to wake him up, my heart drops a little through fear. Or if I hear him cry out in the night, I panic and run straight to his room.”
“I had Orlando with me the day I found out his results from his paediatrician,” Felicity recalls. “I drove him back to preschool and dropped him off.
Afterwards, I bawled my eyes out for about three hours. I didn’t want him to see me because he’s so young, he doesn’t really understand.”
The 25-year-old says she quickly had to educate herself. “I was devastated and angry that this was happening to my beautiful little boy. It didn’t seem fair and I didn’t really know anything about it.”
“During his last seizure, he completely lost consciousness.”
“It’s the worst thing to watch, because you can’t do anything but put him on his side and let it finish,” she says.

Felicity and Michael are still together following the reality TV show, with her saying, “While I had doubts at times. In my soul, I knew we would make it in the end.”

Gigi and Bella Hadid’s father, Mohamed Hadid, is facing jail time for illegally building his extravagant Bel-Air mansion.
The property developer reportedly refused to halt construction to the house, dubbed ‘Starship Enterprise’, or remove unapproved additions – such as guest bedrooms and, you know, the old 70 seat underground Imax home cinema.
The father-of-five has pleaded not guilty to the three charges against him, which means he could face up to six months jail time, according to The Telegraph.
“Demolish this house? Never! That would really cause problems: the trucks, the dirt, the dust, the noise, the hauling. It could take years. That would be insane,” Mohamed told Town & Country.
“This house will last forever. Bel-Air will fall before this will.”
The 68-year-old decided not to attend court earlier this week, choosing instead for his attorney Robert Shapiro (whose name you probably recognise from the O.J. Simpson trial) to represent him.

In the latest installment of why is this still happening in 2017: a Belgian university has been forced to apologise after female students were asked to low-cut clothing to their graduation ceremony.
Medical students of the Free University of Brussels received an email informing them “from an aesthetic point of view, it is preferable if young women wear a dress or a skirt and a nice low neckline,” the BBCreports.
“Of course, ladies, this advice is not obligatory,” the message read.
While women were encouraged to show a bit of cleavage, men got off scot-free with the recommendation they wear a suit.
Obviously, the instructions received international condemnation after they were posted on the university’s Facebook confessions page.
According to The Guardian, the post has received over 600 furious comments, with one Facebook user writing: ““Is this a joke? They are graduates of medicine and we’re asking them to show their chest?” Another posted: “The dress I can understand but the ‘nice cleavage’ 😂😂😂 you got a Phd, but who cares, shows your nipples.”
The Free University of Brussels has since issued an apology on their Facebook page–and rightfully so.
“It goes without saying that the instructions related to the clothing of young graduates are contrary to the values of the ULB and this faculty,” the message reads.

A 21-year-old girl has lost her life after a gang of men attacked her in South Africa.
Hannah Cornelius was sitting in her car with her friend, Cheslin Marsh, in the early hours of Friday morning when they were hijacked by four men.
Marsh was forced into the boot of the car while Hannah was put in the back seat. The attackers then drove them 18km before pulling over and beating them with bricks.
It was there that Marsh managed to escape over a wall and run to a neighbour’s house for help. The man who opened the door told local news that Marsh was “barefoot and covered in blood.”
Marsh reportedly told the neighbour, “If I hadn’t jumped over the wall, I would have been dead.”
Hannah was then driven to another location where she was raped, stabbed and strangled, according to reports. Her body was found at around 8:30am the following morning.
Friends of the bright and beautiful student have shared their heartbreak online, with her best friend, Jacqueline Catterson, writing:
“When you hear the name Hannah Cornelius I want you to smile, even if it’s through your tears. Han was always smiling.”
“Don’t be bitter. Don’t be angry. It’s not going to bring her back or honour her memory because Hannah was so much more than just a tragic story.”
“Han, it was such a privilege to have you as a best friend. I’ll love you forever. Can’t wait for the day when I get to hug you again in heaven.”
Four men have been taken into custody for the crime and are appearing in court over the next few days.

Mother Alex Morgan and her family had just three days left of their holiday on the Spanish island Lanzarote. But the UK woman’s blissful holiday turned into a nightmare after a “horrendous incident” at their hotel’s swimming pool.
Alex recounted the horrifying ordeal on her Facebook page, explaining how her 6-year-old daughter Darcey almost drowned.
“Darcey was swimming under water when her hair got sucked into the filter that operates a waterfall in the swimming pool,” Alex wrote.
“Her hair was stuck and she was unable to get up to the surface. She was kept under the water for over 2 minutes. Some incredibly brave people saved our little girls life that day.”

Alex explained her daughter was unconscious and received CPR poolside.
Taken to hospital by an ambulance, the 6-year-old’s oxygen levels were low and she had fluid on her right lung. But fortunately, Darcey was able to leave the following morning.
“However, it could have been a completely different ending to our holiday,” Alex acknowledged.
“This was the worst day of our lives. We are still suffering to come to terms with it all now but also feel incredibly lucky to still have our beautiful, brave little girl.
MailOnline reports the woman had booked their trip through First Choice, who confirmed they are investigating the matter.
The mother shared the frightening story to make others aware of the dangers of swimming pools, especially for young children. She said two days before the incident, the same filter had damaged a 9-year-old boy’s swimming shorts.
Alex finished her post: “We will never get over what happened but if this post can raise some awareness, save someone’s life, then we will be happy.”

Most of us were aware the new Wonder Woman movie was on its way. We knew a bit of the trivia: that it starred the explosive Gal Gadot in the lead, that it was directed and produced by women and has the highest budget of any film produced by someone with two X chromosomes ($150 million).
But the thing that’s sending the internet into a frenzy are the out-of-control reviews.
That’s a higher score than any Marvel or DC movie ever. Its only competitor is 2008’s Batman: The Dark Knight – and it’s well on track to overtaking the reviews on that masterpiece too.
Here’s what the critics are saying:
Director Patty Jenkins spoke to The Hollywood Reporter this week, and shared her fears that the weight of the world’s women, basically the fate of feminism itself, rested on hers and lead Gal Gadot’s shoulders. She wants the film to be loved for simply being a great film, not just because of its strong feminist message.
“I can’t take on the history of 50 percent of the population just because I’m a woman,” she told the reporter. “I’m just trying to make the greatest version of Wonder Woman that I can for the people who love the character as much as I do and hope that the movie lives up to all the pressure that’s on it.”
From everything we’re reading it’s lassoing that pressure and taking it out with a well-timed round-house.
Gather your daughters – this is the film you HAVE to see this month.

A Sydney mother is warning others to watch their children closely after a mysterious man approached her three-year-old daughter in a park on Tuesday evening.
NSW Police say the toddler was playing in Pioneers Memorial Park in Leichhardt, in Sydney’s inner west, when a man approached and spoke to her.
“This Indian looking man came up and started talking to my child, and my child turned around and she pointed to me and next thing, he just turned around walking in the other direction,” the girl’s shaken mum told the Seven Network on Wednesday.
“I ran over and just basically grabbed my child back, pushed him and his reply to me was he thought she was lost.”
She says the man should hand himself in “and get what’s coming to you – you don’t deserve to live.”
The same man could be behind another attempted abduction in Sydney on Saturday morning.
A five-year-old girl was approached in Glebe and ran off after the girl’s screams alerted her mother, police say.
In both cases, the males were described as being of Indian appearance, about 170 centimetres tall and wearing a t-shirt and tracksuit pants.
Just last week, a man picked up a 15-month-old toddler in Sydney’s south-west and began walking away when his mother – who had been nearby watching her son – screamed and ran to save him. The man was described as being mid-40s and of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance.
Detective Inspector Gavin Beck told reporters in Sydney on Wednesday the police will explore any possible link.
“It’s just an example of parents being alert of what’s appearing around them and, in this case, that’s what the parents have been doing,” he said.

UPDATE: Famous transgender woman Cate McGregor has publically slammed Margaret Court, following Court’s outrageous attack against transgenders and gay couples.
What started as a letter vowing to boycott Qantas over their pro-gay marriage campaign, quickly turned into calling transgenders the work of the “devil” and saying they’re the result of bad parenting or a traumatic childhood.
Last night, Cate – an active member of the LGBTQ community and known sportswriter – appeared on ABC’s The Drum, delivering a moving speech that seems to be exactly what the country needed.
“I think [Margaret Court] has absolutely overstepped any support from theology or religion in some of her discursive remarks about the families of transgender kids, which are just nonsense,” Cate said.
“To go on about the parents of trans kids failing or neglecting their children and that transgenderism is some kind of parental failure.”
“I know a lot of families with young kids grappling with gender issues. They are loving families, there is a mother and father present, the kids are loved to bits.”
“I don’t hear her lecturing people on their second marriages as adultery, but we’re the low-hanging fruit, you can kick us to death to the applause of the mainstream media and ramp up solicitations for money,” she said.
“No-one wants to be transgender, we don’t choose it, we are born like it.”
ORIGINAL: Margaret Court appeared on The Project last Friday night where she defended saying she will stop flying Qantas Airlines “where possible” after the airline’s promotion of same-sex marriage came out.
“I believe in marriage as a union between a man and a woman as stated in the Bible,” Ms Court wrote in the original letter published in The West Australian.
“Your Qantas statement leaves me no option but to use other airlines where possible for my extensive travelling.”
The letter also talked about tennis player Casey Dellacqua – who has two children with her same-sex partner Amanda Judd – saying that children born into female same-sex couples will always have questions surrounding their “identity and background.”
Dellacqua responded by posting a photo of the article to Twitter, writing, “Margaret. Enough is enough.”
— Casey Dellacqua OLY (@caseydellacqua) May 25, 2017
Sam Stosur then hinted that tennis stars may even choose to avoid Margaret Court Arena during next year’s Australian Open due to Margaret’s open stance against gay marriage.
And just when you thought things were dying down, Court has publically slammed lesbians again, this time adding transgender people into the mix too.
Speaking to Vision Christian Radio, Court tried to explain the reasoning behind her beliefs, saying that she doesn’t hate homosexuals, she just wants to fix them.
“We’re there to help them overcome. We’re not against the people. They’re human beings and 92 percent – they say in America – have either been abused in some form sexually or emotionally at an early age for them to even be this way,” she said.
Side note: that statistic is completely made up.
And transgenders? Apparently, they’re the work of the devil.
“That’s all the Devil […] but that’s what Hitler did and that’s what communism did: got the mind of the children. There’s a whole plot in our nation, and in the nations of the world to get the minds of the children.”
Court then went on to say that tennis is full of partying lesbians, who lead young players into “parties and things.”
“I mean, tennis is full of lesbians, because even when I was playing there was only a couple there. But those couple that led took young ones into parties and things.”

When Kim Kardashian West appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday, she dished the dirt on Kris and Caitlyn Jenner‘s relationship status.
During the host’s tell-all game “Plead the Fifth”, he asked the 36-year-old what the chances would be of the momager speaking to Caitlyn again.
“Zero. No, 1. No, I would say 2 percent,” Kim responded. “And those are Kendall and Kylie. That’s their percentage. All fair, I think.”
Kris let it be known on Keeping Up With The Kardashians that Caitlyn was no longer part of her life, after the ex-husband revealed intimate marriage details in her memoir,The Secrets of My Life.
“I read it and basically the only nice thing she had to say was that I was great socially at a party one time,” Kris said to daughters Kim and Khloe. “Everything she says is all made up. Why does everything have to be that ‘Kris is such a b***h?’”
“I’ve never been so angry and disappointed in somebody in my whole life,’ she added.
The troubled pair share daughters Kendall and Kylie together.

While your social media newsfeeds are likely flooded with designer bridal gowns that well succeed your allowance, it turns out today’s Aussie brides are spending less than you might think.
In Bride to Be‘s tenth biannual Cost of Love survey, which involved over 1000 engaged and recently married Australian women, it was revealed that brides are dishing out an average of $2,914 on their dream gown – a decrease of 6 per cent in the last two years.
While this is still a significant amount of money, the results showed that couples are instead allocating the majority of their budget on their reception and honeymoon.

A Sydney high school teacher has been found guilty of having sex with students—both male and female—between 2007 and 2013.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Cameron White was found guilty of having sexual relationships with two female students and a male student from three school campuses.
Although the 39-year-old teacher denied having a sexual relationship with any of the complainants, he was he found guilty of 19 sexual intercourse charges.
During the trial, one female complainant said she had lost her virginity to White at his Sutherland unit in 2010.
“It hurt, a lot,” she recounted, as reported by news.com.au.
The woman told the court she had returned to the teacher’s home several times.
The male victim, who was 14-years-old at the time, told the court he had a “major crush” on White and had sex with him in a car in 2007. The described how White would call him “his bitch” and would “like me to say that I am his bitch”.
The matter will return to court for a sentencing hearing in July.

“The entire process was so much fun,” says Vallance. “From the original design conception through to watching Sylvia walk down the aisle, it was all a great experience.”
“The dress took well over 200 hours to make over a 6 month period,” she adds. “When the alterations were done after each fitting, the intricate French lace needed to be removed and then sewn back on afterwards. We definitely spent a lot of quality time together – it was a labour of love!”
Her advice for brides commissioning a custom dress? “You need to be very familiar with your chosen designer’s aesthetic. You also need to have a good idea of what it is you’re looking for!”

You’d expect Kim Kardashian to only indulge in supremely expensive skincare (we’re talking about the woman who flew her cosmetic surgeon overseas with her), but the reality TV star has revealed she’s equally happy using lotions and potions from Target.
Kimmy K took to Snapchat to show off her latest beauty buys, E! reports, which included multiple products from Seaweed Bath Co. – a budget-friendly skincare line based around the glow-giving powers of seaweed.
Kardashian, who has long battled psoriasis, is hoping the seaweed-enriched products will help to soothe her condition. Seaweed extract is commonly used to treat multiple skin conditions, psoriasis and eczema included, according to Allure.

Just when we thought we couldn’t love New Zealand singer Lorde any more, she’s won our hearts again.
The singer made a lucky fan’s dreams come true after meeting her over the counter at a smoothie store in New York.
Lorde got talking with Liquiteria employee Emely Paula Medina and the pair hit it off so much that Emely scored an invite to the Governors Ball Music Festival, the NZ Heraldreports.
Lorde will be performing at the festival alongside a bunch of huge acts like Childish Gambino and Chance The Rapper.
Emely documented her encounter with the Kiwi popstar on Twitter with a video captioned: “She made my morning”.

“Is Rihanna going to make being fat the hot new trend?” So asked the “gentlemen” over at Barstool Sports, a second-rate site for fans of sport and slagging women, apparently.
After presenting some grainy pap shots of Ri-Ri in boyfriend jeans and a baggy shirt, still looking gorgeous, still looking like Rihanna and still looking like a normal human woman, the ranty male blogger proceeded to point to the terror that Rihanna could unleash, should she make weight gain a thing. We could point out here that the photo really doesn’t show anything, but we’re not going to, because that’s the entire point: HER WEIGHT ISN’T OUR BUSINESS
It’s a view “Spags” the shallow sports blogger doesn’t share. Launching into a tirade that shows just how much the world needs feminism, common sense and better manners, this random dude extrapolated that Rihanna, being the taste maker she is, could encourage all the beautiful women in the world to stack it on, fearing “a world where all the hottest girls look like the humans in Wall-E. And just in time for summer too. A world of ladies shaped like the Hindenburg loaded into one-piece bathing suits may be on the horizon now that Rihanna is traipsing around out there looking like she’s in a sumo suit.”
OH THE HORROR! Can you imagine? A world where women’s bodies don’t fit the mold of some kind of messed-up ideal…
He kindly pointed out that the photos could be simply unflattering, or perhaps Rihanna had dared to enjoy “good room service a bit too long”. Or maybe she was pregnant – the only acceptable reason to gain some weight, apparently.
Anyway, enough about this misogynist who thinks he gets to dictate how women should look. On the other side of the fence there’s a whole movement celebrating Rihanna getting “thick” – that is, curvy, voluptuous and sexy as hell. And yep, she’s certainly looking good.
Rihanna in New York, May 24, Getty
But why the need to scrutinise any woman’s weight? Commenting on women’s bodies is all kinds of problematic, even when it’s positive.
To be fair, Rihanna probably isn’t paying any attention to anyone else’s opinions, what with her IDGAF attitude and all.
But there are plenty of people who are, and they’re not afraid to call out this insanity. Including us.

In yet another mishap for the Trump family, Ivanka Trump has been slammed for an insensitive tweet on Memorial Day in the US.
“Make champagne popsicles this #MemorialDay,” Ivanka’s lifestyle brand posted on Twitter. The post linked to the president’s daughter’s website, with ideas about how to enjoy the summer holiday.
While we love the idea of champagne popsicles (we may or may not be searching google for the recipe right now), it seems there’s a right time and place for the icy treat.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the US to honour those who died serving in the country’s armed service.

Nigel Stanislaus: The worlds of fashion and beauty have always been linked and the biggest trends are launched on the runways during Fashion Week. Bree McDonald knows this better than most, as marie claire’s Fashion and News Editor. She is known as much for her work as she is for her iconic style. So Bree, have you always been a fashion girl?
Bree McDonald: I grew up watching my Nan, who was always dressed really beautifully. She never wanted anyone to have chipped nail polish and she had this room in the house that was the spare room. She commissioned my granddad to build special shelves around the perimeter just so she could hang her shoes up and display her shoes.
Get out. How did you end up at marie claire?
I grew up in Queensland and there wasn’t a clear sort of direction of how I might actually get that done. I spoke to the careers counselor and sort of said, you know, I want to work in a magazine, I read them all the time and I love them. She was like, ‘okay that’s nice but I don’t know how to help you, why don’t you go to art school.’ And so I did. I did a year, packed up, went overseas, explored and came back and thought, ‘you know what, I actually still do want to do what I thought I did’ and moved to Sydney pretty much straight away.
Tell me, once you landed your dream job surely going to those big overseas shows, it’s pretty up there as well, but what’s the goss? What’s your favourite?
One of the most recent shows is Gucci because I flew in, I touched down, I went straight to the hotel, got changed and off I went. All of a sudden I was in this dimly lit, amazing room and watched A$AP Rocky and Tom Hiddleston and Salma Hayek sort of roll into the front row and I was sitting there thinking…
Shut the front door! Tom Hiddleston?
He was the only one dressed up to the nines. He was in a suit and everyone else was kind of rocking their casual Gucci gear.
What do you wear to a fashion show?
It’s pretty hard to be honest. But at the end of the day what I have figured out is you have to be comfortable. So if you haven’t worn it before, wearing it to Fashion Week shouldn’t be its debut.
This video file cannot be played.(Error Code: 102400)
In an industry where everybody wears black, you’re obviously known for your colour. How would you describe your style?
I guess the one thing I’ve learnt is never say never in fashion. I also thinks it’s really liberating if you just abide by the things that speak to you. Like if you see a dress that is not in “your colour” but you love it anyway, then wear it. Be happy wearing that colour that you’ve never worn before instead of thinking that you can’t.
What would I find in your wardrobe?
A little bit of everything. Some things I’ve had for 10 to 15 years that I still genuinely love.
Do you own any basics or are they all just loud statement pieces?
I definitely do have basics. With my white hair and I’m usually wearing my glasses, and it’s loud print and it’s colour and that sort of thing, that I do especially need basics to kind of equalise my outfit. Mostly I use maroons and khakis and navy as my blacks.
Do beauty trends influence your work at all?
I think so. I personally don’t wear necessarily a lot of make-up, this is a full look for me.
This is level 10 for you?
This is level 10 for me.
This is like level mezzanine for me.
Knowing that you can adapt the make-up around even the most simple look can completely transform a model, can completely tell a different story in an editorial shoot. Make-up really is, it’s the glue that binds.

This morning Schapelle Corby‘s sister, Mercedes Corby, spoke for the first time since the convicted drug smuggler’s return to Australia.
Speaking to Kyle and Jackie O, with Schapelle beside her – the 39-year-old whispered “hello” for proof – Mercedes revealed that right now the family is “just letting her relax” but that Schapelle is “doing really well.”
As for whether or not Schapelle will eventually sit down with a media outlet for a tell-all interview, Mercedes said her sister is yet to decide.
“That’s up to her. It’s just too early for her to make any decisions. I know she does want to thank all of her supporters.”
She added that her sister is “very private, that’s why I’ve had to talk.”
— Kyle and Jackie O (@kyleandjackieo) May 30, 2017
Mercedes also addressed Schapelle’s handbag stunt, where she held up a photo of missing boy William Tyrrell – which the family later condemned.
“That was Schappelle’s idea,” Mercedes told the KIIS FM hosts.
“All these cameras, she wants something that she cares about, she’s compassionate. Why not use this for something that she thinks should have more coverage,” she said.
“Missing children is something that she’s compassion about. She really likes Daniel’s law, that’s something she’s always following. I’m really proud of her.”
Mercedes then addressed the rumours of Schapelle being Australia’s next Bachelorette, saying, “It’s er… no, that’s not going to happen!” before asking, “That’s the one where they give out the roses, isn’t it?”

“What is the biggest whale that you have harpooned?” begins a vile and confronting Facebook post one man shared in a private men’s group. “I went through a tubby phase and landed this 130kg beast.”
The comment is accompanied by a grainy screenshot of a man in bed with the woman—presumably shared without her consent.
News.com.au reports the image was shared with a group of over 14,500 members, although only one man questioned the ethics of sharing it.
NSW man Hayden Brien reported the post to Facebook, but says the online platform indicated it did not “go against any of our specific Community Standards”.
The screenshot from Facebook
Brien slammed Facebook—and the grossly misogynistic post—in a status on his own page on Sunday.
“A guy posted screenshots from a video of him having sex with someone on facebook (yeah I’m “doggin the boys” whoops) & you’d assume it wasn’t taken let alone POSTED with her consent,” Brien wrote.
“I bite my tongue over the daily misogynistic, racist, homophobic and generally uneducated posts in the group because hey, this is a safe space for the working class Aussie males, right?
“This however crosses the line in a very very big way, and needs to be stopped immediately.”
The man said the post had received over 230 likes and 103 comments—but not a single comment defending the girl’s privacy.
Brien continued: “If you wanna share this and make Facebook take notice that’d be great cause I’m sick of every bloke on planet earth thinking we’re some kind of master race and treating women as second rate human beings.”
According to news.com.au, Facebook said it was now investigating the matter.

A young girl from Melbourne was killed overnight in an ISIS terrorist attack which took over 20 lives and left dozens of others with serious injuries.
Zynab Al Harbiya was visiting her sick grandfather in Iraq with her family and had begged her mum to take her to buy an ice cream after they had been fasting for Ramadan.
While she was inside the shop, a car bomb went off, killing Zynab and injuring other members of her family.
Another bomb went off an hour later, with ISIS claiming responsibility for both attacks in a statement, according to ABC.
The 12-year-old who was a student at Sirius College had only been in Baghdad for a few days.
Her cousin, Layla Al Saabary, says before leaving Australia Zynab expressed fears for her safety.
“She told my son before she left, she said, ‘I am scared of the bombs’, and we said, ‘It is OK.'”
“All I know is that she was just near the ice-cream parlour and the explosion was close to her so there was no chance,” she continued.
Zynab’s school posted a photo of her this morning, saying, “Sirius College is deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of our bubbly Year 7 student Zynab Al Harbiya who was tragically taken by the bombing in Iraq.”
“Our condolences and prayers are with her family, friends, teachers and the wider school community. Her smiling presence will be missed. Allah Yerhama. Rest in Peace Beautiful Girl xxxx”

A newborn baby has died after being left along with her family’s three pet dogs.
The three-week-old girl, Susannah Jean Murray, had been placed in a bouncer by her mother, who then went outside onto the front porch of their Michigan house with a few other friends.
Police said the baby was found less than five minutes later badly mauled by at least one of the three pit bulls.
“When the incident occurred one of the three pit bulls had blood around its mouth. The other two did not,” Officer Terry Dixon told WWMT.
Sadly, after seven hours of surgery, the little girl passed away from a severe bite to the head.
All three of the dogs have been removed from the home and quarantined.

Two years ago, mother Akon Guode deliberately drove her four-wheel-drive into Lake Gladman, in Melbourne’s outer south-west.
Her four-year-old twins, Hanger and Madit, and her 17-month-old, Bol, were in the car at the time and tragically drowned. The woman’s eldest daughter, now seven, miraculously survived.
Today, Guode was sentenced to 26 years and six months’ jail time for killing three of her children, and for the attempted murder of another, the ABC reports.
These innocent little kids were murdered by their mum, Akon Guode. She was today sentenced to 26.5 years jail. 20 year min. #auslaw#justicepic.twitter.com/Y7hxEl1mKy
Justice Lex Lasry explained Guode’s actions, in his opinion, “were the product of extreme desperation, rather than any form of vengeance”.
“People want to understand why you did what you did, because particularly for parents of young children such action is foreign and unthinkable,” he said, as reported in The Age.
Justice Lasry told the court that Guode was likely suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and symptoms of depression, stemming from her time in war-torn Sudan.

Guode came to Australia in 2006 as a refugee after fleeing the civil war. SBS reports Guode not only witnessed her first husband’s murder during a village raid, but that she was raped after the horrific event.
Justice Lasry added that Guode had led “an extraordinarily difficult life, a life that most of us can hardly imagine”.
The 37-year-old woman will serve a minimum of 20 years jail time before she is eligible for parole.

Whether you’re after ways to subtly bring out your eyes during the day or add oomph for a night-time event, we’ve got you sorted. Here are three different ways to accentuate your peepers, plus the products you’ll need to achieve each eye makeup look.
1/ A soft neutral look
This matte eyeshadow look is something that can be worn for all occasions. First, apply a soft neutral beige eyeshadow all over your eyelid from the Revlon ColorStay Not Just Nudes™ Shadow Palette in Passionate Nudes. Next, trace your upper lash line withRevlon ColorStay™ 2 In 1 Angled Kajal Eyeliner in Fig. The dual-ended tool features a soft-textured precision tip kohl on one side, which will give your lids some added intensity, and the smudge brush on the other end will work to blend the colour for a natural finish. Lastly, coat your top lashes evenly with a black mascara like RevlonUltimate All-in-One™ Mascara in Blackest Black.
TOP TIP: If you have deep-set eyes, focus on adding more dimension in your crease with a darker eyeshadow colour.
2/ A bronzed smoky eye
If you’re looking for something a little more glamorous, a bronze smoky eye is the way to go. With Revlon Colorstay Not Just Nudes™ Shadow Palette in Passionate Nudes, apply the lightest shade all over your eyelid, then blend the second darkest shade into your socket and crease. Use a gold pigment on the inner corners of your eyes to make them pop. Then, it’s time to use your eyeliner to add extra dimension. Similar to the technique you’d do for the soft neutral look, start by applying Revlon ColorStay 2 In 1 Angled Kajal™ Eyeliner in Onyx across your upper lash line, but add extra intensity by doing it on lower lash line, too. For extra smokiness, layer the colour more than you would for the first look. The soft-textured kohl will add that extra hit of intensity for a smoky eye, then use the brush on the other end to blend it out for a naturally smoky finish. Finish with a coat of RevlonVolume + Length Magnified™ Mascara in Blackest Black over bare lashes.
TOP TIP: For almond shaped eyes, focus on creating a winged shape with your eyeshadow to make eyes appear bigger.
3/ A dramatic eye makeup look
Ready to make a statement? Try a dramatic eye look using a heavy application of black eyeliner. Get the look with Revlon ColorStay 2 In 1 Angled Kajal™ Eyeliner in Onyx. The precision tip will ensure some seriously sharp lines, while the creamy formula helps the pencil glide across your skin easily without tugging. First, etch a thick line along your top lash line, then draw a line upwards that extends from the outer corner of your eye in line with the curve of your lower lash line, up towards the edge of your brow. With one sweeping movement, draw another line back down at an angle to join your top lash line – fill in the mini triangle flick you’ve just created. If you’re after a winged shape with a softer shape, use the included smudge brush to blend the colour out. Finish by curling your lashes and apply two to three coats ofRevlon Volume + Length Magnified™ Mascara in Blackest Black to the top lashes only.

Scout Penelope Larson may only be in kindergarten, but the three-year-old is already an internet sensation, boasting over 40,000 followers on Instagram thanks to her adorable, empowering posts.
When Scout’s grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, her mum, Ashley Larson, thought that a good way to teach her toddler about girl power would be to dress her like famous, powerful women.
She says, in a post on Buzzfeed, that she taught Scout a bit about each woman before they took the photos and that Scout would choose the picture she wanted to replicate.
“This project has probably taught me just as much or more than it taught my daughter,” Ashley writes.
“I truly want Scout to be able to look back at this and know that women are just as strong as any man. And to be quite honest, my fingers are crossed that by the time she’s old enough to understand the strength she’s portraying- women won’t be seen as delicate and dainty anymore, anyway.”
The project lasted for a year, with the end photos compiled together into a book for Scout’s grandma (who is now, thankfully, cancer-free.)

The Benefits: A blend of charcoal extract and amino acids promise to smooth hair, restore resilience and fight frizz. Suitable for all types (coloured, permed, highlighted or bleached), it naturally fades away after approximately 15 washes.
WE SAY: “It was obvious this formula contained no nasty chemicals. My hair felt smoother, but the three days that followed were trying – no elastics or washing. However, once I washed my hair, it looked noticeably shinier with less frizz.”
At-home fix: Bumble and Bumble Mending Shampoo, $45.
2. The Healthy Hair Fix
Wella System Professional EnergyCode Mapping, from $42; 1300 885 002
Best For: Re-energising dull, damaged hair.
The Benefits: Inspired by skincare, this customised program uses an in-salon app to examine hair from root to tip, and then diagnose your hair’s unique “energy profile” to determine its needs. A care-coded system is prescribed (comprised of vitamin B, caffeine, histidine and natural lipids), including an indulgent mask, dry-in treatment or rinse-out ritual, to help transform hair.
WE SAY: “After a summer spent at the beach and pool, my hair was looking dry and limp (plus I was guilty of disguising it with messy buns and ponytails). Post-treatment, my hair is healthier, more manageable and flowing freely again.”
At-home fix: Wella System Professional Liquid Hair, $99.
The Benefits: Looking after the skin on your scalp like the skin on your face is the aim of this treatment, devised to cleanse and balance the skin. To start the ritual, a specially designed brush with loop bristles is run through dry hair to dislodge product build-up and dead skin cells and increase micro-circulation. Next, a cleanser is massaged into the roots, before a regular shampoo is applied and everything is rinsed off. Then it’s a conditioning mask and a dose of the Pramāsana Scalp Concentrate, which helps protect the scalp and ward off free radicals.
WE SAY: “My scalp has never felt so tingly or thoroughly cleansed. It cleared my flakiness problem, and left my fine strands feeling lighter than usual. It was a good add-on treatment to a regular salon blow-dry.”
L’Oréal Professional Smartbond, from $35; 1300 651 991
Best For: Those who frequent the colourist.
The Benefits: Formulas have improved, but there’s still no such thing as zero-damage hair colour (it’s drying and can weaken keratin). In comes Smartbond, an ingredient added to colour by a hairdresser and sealed into strands with a rebonder at the basin, leaving hair stronger and glossier.
WE SAY: “Being a long-time bleacher, my hair can be brittle if I don’t treat it regularly. Since this treatment it’s been noticeably softer, the ends seem stronger and it takes less time to blow-dry.
The Benefits: Brassiness, off-tones, fading and damage are concerns for bottled blondes. Enter a three-step, blonde-specific brightening system. The combination of powerful hair healers like arginine (to strengthen), monoi and tamanu oils (to protect), and natural detoxifiers (to remove brassy tones) bring life back to lighter lengths.
WE SAY: “For the amount of time this took – which wasn’t much time at all – this treatment was an easy way to get my blonde freshened up and feeling silky. It left my tresses lightweight and bright.”
At-home fix: Joico Blonde Life Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner, $31.95 each.
6. The Dehydration Detox
shu uemura Art of Hair Ceremony, from $40; 1300 651 991
Best For: Lacklustre locks.
The Benefits: The treatment begins with a shiatsu scalp massage, which benefits both the head and hair. But that’s just the tip of the follicle: the ceremony is a sensory experience, starting with a cup of tea, bespoke mask (tailored to your hair type) and finishing with another head massage and treatment oil.
WE SAY: “Not only did I feel thoroughly restored but my strands felt revamped and cleansed.”
At-home fix: Shu Uemura Hydro-Nourishing Shampoo, $48.

Radio host, Bec Judd discussed Schapelle Corby’s recent rise to social media fame on-air yesterday. Chat quickly turned to Instagram-fame in general with Bec sharing her views on acquiring followers quickly. “All she has to do is chuck up some booby shots and some butt and she’s there – that’s how you hit a million,” she said.
“I’m not on a million because I don’t want to do boobs and butt shots,” Bec continued. “But if you look at the ones that are on a million followers, it’s all about boobs and the butts.”
The wife of AFL legend Chris Judd, boasts an impressive 633,000 followers on her account, she reveals she once gained 45,000 followers overnight after posting a picture of herself in a bikini.
“I threw up a pic about a year and a half ago and it was just a low-cut top and there was a little bit of boob,’ she told her 3pm Pick-Up co-hosts Yumi Stynes and Katie ‘Monty’ Diamond.
“In 24 hours, I got 45,000 followers because I never chuck up boob shots because I have no boobs.”
Judd’s followers will know she does share pictures with her adorable brood, 8-month-old twins Tom and Darcy, daughter Billie, 3, and son Oscar, 5.

In the ever-growing market of foundation blending tools, it would be easy to feel overwhelmed by the myriad of options. From the original flat foundation brushes and sponges to the newcomers like buffing brushes, the iconic beauty blender and even that wacky translucent Silisponge, there is no shortage of choices when it comes to creating a flawless base.
The latest tool making the rounds is probably one of the more interesting ones we’ve seen, and if the social media pictures, comments, and videos are anything to go by, this new type of blending tool is definitely worth your attention.
Behold, the new generation of makeup brushes. This unusually shaped set of brushes, originally released by the brand Artis, more closely resembles those old-school hairbrushes than the makeup brushes we’re used to seeing.
So what’s the deal with this design? The oval brush is intended to glide over your face, and seamlessly blend your makeup with very little effort due the fine, soft bristles. A huge selling point of the product – especially if your go-to application method is a sponge, is that it is said to retain much less product than a sponge, meaning you waste less precious foundation in the application process. Artis have also created a specialised cleaning pad for the brushes, which can be purchased separately.
Given the popularity of this innovative design with beauty bloggers and on social media, it’s not surprising to see that there have been other brands following suit and releasing their own versions of the brushes, including these colourful Moda Prismatic Pro makeup brushes. The brushes feature the same hairbrush shape concept, but have a bit more of a fun and festive design compared to the Artis brushes.
While these colourful brushes are not yet available in Australia, the original Artis 10-piece set is available on the Artis website. Other options include the Oval 3 or Oval 6 Brushes from MAC and By Terry has a Soft Oval Expert Brush available through MECCA.
We’re predicting this is only the beginning for this style of makeup brush, so we’ll be keeping a close eye out for budget options as they hit our shores (which we’re sure will be happening sooner rather than later).

Those in the know have long hailed Aldi as a secret source of dirt-cheap, but delicious, wine – and now it’s become official.
Aldi’s $8 Côtes de Provence Rosé has won a silver medal at the prestigious International Wine Challenge, up against wines three times its price. According to The Sun, it was recognised for its flavours of “strawberry, white fruit and subtle spice.”
“We have been working closely with renowned winemaker Jean Claude Mas to change percepions around French wine, which is often perceived as expensive and intimidating,” says Aldi’s Joint Managing Director of Corporate Buying, Tony Baines. “It is fantastic to see some of these products acknowledged as some of the best in the world.”
Unfortunately, the Côtes de Provence Rosé isn’t available in Australian Aldi stores… yet.

For Cruise 2018, Gucci not only stole our hearts, the Italian fashion house also revealed its own.
Named ‘Antianatomy,’ the collection was created to show the “heart and soul of Gucci’s origins”, with Creative Director Alessandro Michele deciding the best place to do exactly that was in the brand’s home of Florence, Italy.
Gucci took over Florence’s historic Palazzo Pitti, home to stunning Renaissance artworks by Michelangelo, da Vinci and Caravaggio. The show took place throughout seven rooms of the palace with a harpist playing in every room.
Rather than the usual paper invitation, the lucky few who were flown to Florence received embroidered hats, featuring the guest’s name and location stamps of the three previous cruise collections Alessandro has designed while at Gucci’s helm.
If you were looking for a continuation of the over-the-top amazing, eclectic designs that have come to be known as the “New Gucci,” Michele sure delivered.
Taking the logo tee to the next level, the runway consisted of slogans such as ‘Guccify Yourself’, ‘Guccification’ and ‘Guccy’ – all of which you’re bound to see dripping down your Insta’ feed come next season.
3. The Details
From pearl trimmings to golden laurel wreaths and fingertips dipped in black ink, Michele proved ‘eclectic’ can reach far further than just clothes.
4. The Front Row
As for the celeb attendees, Dakota Johnson sat front and centre, alongside Kirsten Dunst and Gucci regular Jared Leto.

I used to think the royal family were a total waste of space. Toffy, vapid, lofty leeches, suckling from the taxpayer’s teat for no discernible benefit beyond a handful of tourism dollars. I proudly voted to eject them as our heads of state in the referendum in 1999.
I wouldn’t do that now.
The catalyst for my backflip was when the two princes, William and Harry, with the support of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, launched their mental health campaign, Heads Together, illustrated this month with a captivating feature in British GQ magazine.
I never bought the idea that the younger royals were hip and relevant just because they wore normal clothes and had commoner girlfriends. Whatever. But this campaign is something different. It shows they’re legitimately in touch. They’re committed to embracing real issues that affect real people, even if they’re not the most glamorous or sexy. And elected world leaders would do well to take their lead.
In the GQ piece, Prince William opens up to writer Alistair Campbell, a self-described “old leftie Republican” – which is how I might describe myself (maybe without the ‘old’ bit, on a good day). And it’s clear he makes an indelible impression. “I’ve been really shocked how many people live in fear and in silence because of their mental illness,” William admits.
“I cannot understand how families, even behind closed doors, still find it so hard to talk about it. I am shocked we are so worried about saying anything about the true feelings we have.”
Perhaps the second in line to the throne shouldn’t be so shocked – after all, one of the greatest barriers for people seeking help is the fear that the help simply isn’t there, because of inadequate facilities and funding – but he’s demonstrating a real desire to get to the heart of the issue. And with understanding comes de-stigmatisation. And from there, action.
Prince Harry was perhaps even more candid in March when he confessed that his life went off the rails in his 20s because of the way he suppressed the pain of his mother Diana’s death. He openly admitted he saw a counsellor, shut down his emotions and went through two years of “total chaos”.
That’s no small thing for anyone to own, let alone someone who’s supposed to be a beatific example of morality and order, as members of the royal family are held up to be.
At the time, writer Georgina Dent opened up about how meaningful it was for her to hear someone of Harry’s stature speaking out about an issue that she’d personally experienced. You can read her moving account here.
It’s difficult to underestimate how powerful these admissions are, and the potential impact of the brothers’ commitment to this ‘unglamorous’ cause. It would be easy for them to stick to benign children’s charities and restoring historic ruins. Instead they’ve chosen to emulate their mother’s commitment to fight for the forgotten. Her campaigns to raise awareness about Aids and HIV in the 1990s were considered shocking and even unbecoming at the time but they worked. It speaks volumes about the strength of each of their characters.

Around the world elected officials, chosen by popular vote, are proving themselves to be far less concerned than these young royals with the real issues that plague ordinary people. US President Donald Trump wants to slash healthcare for his poorest citizens. Our own Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, is continuing the failed war on drugs by punishing addicts and making it next to impossible for them to seek treatment, both for addiction and for associated mental illnesses.
The British royals are stepping in where others won’t.
When politicians are creating more mess than they’re cleaning up, we’ve never been more in need of leadership unencumbered by special interests or the constraints of populism and endless electioneering.
Hold off the guillotines. I’m even happy to keep the Windsors on the books as the Australian heads of state. God save the Queen and all her progeny. They’re doing true good.

She’s as famous for her glossy high ponytail as she is for her voice, but Ariana Grande has dramatically changed her look this week, revealing a silvery grey colour change on Instagram. Fans think the pink tinge is the result of the filter she’s obviously used, as her hairstylist, Chris Appleton, has also posted pictures in which he calls the colour silver.
Kim Kardashian
Fronting up to the Tom Ford S/S ’18 show in New York today, Kim Kardashian revealed a dramatic new dye job: she’s ditched her ebony tresses for silvery platinum.
Salma Hayek
The 50-year-old actress has never shied away from her natural roots, embracing her grey fly-aways. We love that the actress keeps it natural.
Nicole Richie
For the 2013 Met Gala Richie took on the punky theme by rocking a bold white hair-do.
Hilary Duff
Ditching her normally beachy-blonde locks, the 29-year-old actress decided to go for a new look, opting for an icy blue and grey hue.
Jourdan Dunn
For the 2016 Met Gala model Jourdan Dunn decided to match her hair to her silvery Balmain gown. The hair colour is understated, while adding a touch of shimmer to enhance her overall look.
Blac Chyna
This reality TV star is regularly known to match her hair colour to her outfits. Recently, Chyna was spotted out for dinner in LA matching her pink tracksuit to her grey/pink locks.
Zosia Mamet
The 29-year-old Girls star decided to ditch her usually mousy-brown hair for a more understated greyish-blonde tone. We’re loving the understated combination, perfect for those wanting to lightly embrace the ‘Granny Hair’ trend.

Rita Ora
Always a fashion and beauty risk-taker, Rita regularly rocks a bold white/grey hair-do.
Kelly Osbourne
Although it lands on the purple side, Kelly Osbourne has a grey-tone to her hair that we love. The purple colouring, coupled with a grey undertone, is a fun way to spice up your hair.
Lady Gaga
No stranger to mixing up her beauty looks, Lady Gaga looks glamorous and beautiful with an old-Hollywood inspired hairstyle matched with a grey colouring.
Dannii Minogue
The Aussie pop-star is giving us major Pretty in Pink envy. The pink and grey hues, tied in with her pink lipstick and blush are a perfect way to embrace this trend.
Kate Moss
Leave it to the veteran supermodel to know exactly how to pull of this trend. Kate is known to embrace her natural grey hairs, and makes them look effortlessly chic while doing it.
Ginnifer Goodwin
Ginnifer Goodwin ticks two trend boxes with this lilac-tinted grey pixie crop. If you’re currently working a short ‘do now is the perfect time to get experimental with the colour.
Evan Rachel Wood
Another way to rock the grey-coloured pixie cut is emulated perfectly by Wood, who is no stranger to mixing up her beauty looks.
Rihanna
Possibly the Queen of hair trends, Rihanna shows a way to subtly embrace the ‘Granny Hair’ trend. Adding grey extensions to your usual hair colour, either by extensions or dip-dying, is the perfect way to add a new element to your hairstyle.
Cara Delevingne
Although not technically aligned with the grey hair trend, we couldn’t not include Cara’s bold silver painted hair at the 2017 Met Gala. The model proved you can interpret these trends in anyway you please!

When the public is granted a glimpse of the royal family, it’s usually planned to perfection – the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge presiding over an official event, or attending church on Christmas morning.
But a new photo shows the young family completely at ease, relaxing in the gardens of their Kensington Palace home with their cocker spaniel, Lupo.
The intimate black and white photo was taken for British GQ as part of a profile on Prince William. In the interview, the 34-year-old prince opens up about his mother’s death, which occurred when he was 15, and vows to give his children “a normal life.”
“Stability at home is so important to me,” he says. “I want to bring up my children in a happy, stable, secure world, and that is so important to both of us as parents.”

“I want George to grow up in a real, living environment. I don’t want him growing up behind palace walls, he has to be out there.”
Prince William also opened up about Heads Together, the mental health awareness campaign he has launched with the Duchess and Prince Harry.
“Smashing the taboo is our biggest aim,” he told GQ. “We cannot go anywhere much until that is done.”
“People can’t access services until they feel less ashamed, so we must tackle the taboo, the stigma,” he added. “I’ve been really shocked by how many people live in fear and silence because of their mental illness. I just don’t understand it. I know I come across as quite reserved and shy, I don’t always have my emotions brewing, but behind closed doors I think about the issues, I get very passionate about things.”

Australian Grand Slam champion Samantha Stosur has hinted that tennis players may boycott Margaret Court Arena at next year’s Australian Open, following the former tennis star’s comments about gay marriage.
Margaret Court appeared on The Project on Friday night where she defended saying she will stop flying Qantas Airlines “where possible” after the airline’s promotion of same-sex marriage came out.
“I believe in marriage as a union between a man and a woman as stated in the Bible,” Ms Court wrote in the original letter published in The West Australian.
“Your Qantas statement leaves me no option but to use other airlines where possible for my extensive travelling.”
Margaret Court
The letter also talked about tennis player Casey Dellacqua – who has two children with her same-sex partner Amanda Judd – saying that children born into female same-sex couples will always have questions surrounding their “identity and background.”
Dellacqua responded by posting a photo of the article to Twitter, writing, “Margaret. Enough is enough.”
— Casey Dellacqua OLY (@caseydellacqua) May 25, 2017
Sam Stosur then reposted Casey’s tweet, writing, “Proud of you Case x.”
“Look, I think everyone can have their own opinion. I don’t agree with Margaret’s opinion,” Stosur said at the French Open in Paris, as reported by ABC.
“That’s why Casey was, obviously, very adamant about that and I wanted to support my friend and that’s why I sent out my first tweet in a very long time.”
“And, look, it’s just not something that I agree with. I think we definitely should have it (same-sex marriage) in Australia.”
Stosur went on to say she didn’t think Margaret Court Arena would be renamed, but that players may choose to avoid it during the Australian Open.
“The court’s named Margaret Court Arena because of what she did in tennis, and that’s why basically. But I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we all get down to the Australian Open next year and (see) who wants to play on Margaret Court Arena and who doesn’t, and we’ll go from there.”

Tributes are flooding in for three siblings who were killed in a horror crash in northern New South Wales.
Jack Pink, 19, and his sisters Marina, 17, and Destiny, 15, were killed in a three-vehicle collision on the Newell Highway, near Boggabilla on Monday.
9Newsreports their father Glenn Pink, who was driving at the front of the convoy, collapsed on the road nearby after learning of the deadly crash.
Marina was due to celebrate her 18th birthday today.

The mother added: “I miss you more than words could ever say, keep your brother and sister in line.

Family of 18-year-old Emily Drouet, who took her own life following months of domestic abuse by her boyfriend, have shared a powerful photo the law student took mere days before her death.
The selfie shows the teen red-faced, with smudged mascara. Her mother says Emily sent it to her best friend moments after her partner, Angus Milligan, had strangled her.
Just six months earlier, Emily’s family had driven her up to Aberdeen to settle into her new life as a university student. They had met her flatmates, helped her put fairy lights around her bed, and made sure she had enough warm blankets for the cold Scottish city.
Sometime within those months, Emily met Angus – another student who was living in the halls of residence. “Within six months, that man destroyed our daughter and wrecked our lives. He’s just complete evil,” her heartbroken mother, Fiona Drouet, says.
“I want to jump inside the picture and cuddle her. I want to tell her that she could have spoken to me, that she could have asked for help. We would have been there for her.”
Bullied to death: Tragic Emily Drouet’s swollen face shows damage wrought by serial abuser Angus Milligan https://t.co/wToSJhGmqN
“Our beautiful daughter became a victim of domestic violence at just 18,” Fiona said.
“He was threatening her with us, telling her that he’d email us and tell us about the sex and the partying.” Those threats, Fiona says, compelled their daughter to end her life.
“Emy was naive, she was innocent. She saw the world through good eyes. She was fun-loving, kind and smart and she never saw how beautiful she was, on the inside or the outside.”
Last week, Milligan pleaded guilty in court of assaulting Emily, threatening and abusing her using abusive and offensive language and sending offensive, indecent, obscene and menacing texts.

Kim Kardashian West has finally spoken out about the reason the Kardashian-Jenner clan parted ways with their longtime stylist, Monica Rose. The surprising split came last month, with the family making an abrupt announcement, followed by reports that Khloé intended to sue.
Now, during a Plead the Fifth segment on a recent episode of Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, the host asked Kim to explain what had happened. After a brief pause, Kim shared that her own drama with the stylist actually has nothing to do with her sisters.
“I haven’t worked with her in maybe four years, so my reason is not connected to this,” she said, hinting that there was another reason for her sisters’ recent split from the stylist.
“But I will say that I read that it was said that she was the reason for my makeover – my makeover when I met Kanye – and I will say that Kanye got me a new team and we kind of documented it,” added Kardashian West. “So I think people think that’s the reason, and for me, maybe that is the reason. I needed a new vibe.”
Kim wouldn’t reveal why the sisters had split from Monica though, telling Andy: “You’d have to ask Khloe and Kendall and Kylie and the girls.”
https://www.instagram.com/p/BKb_4pLDyD0/
So for Kim, the drama came from Monica claiming to be behind her new look when she began seeing Kanye, which, according to Keek’s isn’t at all true.
The reality TV star wouldn’t reveal why the sisters had split from Monica though, telling Andy: “You’d have to ask Khloe and Kendall and Kylie and the girls.”
Despite the drama with the Kar-Jenner’s, Monica is continuing to work with their close friends, including Chrissy Teigen and Jenna Dewan Tatum.

Over the weekend, Tasmania police officers picked up a drunk man and took him home.
Said man, named Reese, woke up the next day to find a bunch of selfies on his phone, which he promptly shared to Facebook.
“So was just looking through my phone and turns out these good ***** took some banger selfies after they took my drunk ass home!” he wrote, before finishing with “Bloody legends.”
Tasmania police then shared the photo to their Facebook page, taking the opportunity to encourage people to organise their night – and a way to get home – before getting too intoxicated.
“On this occasion, police were contacted by a taxi company for assistance in getting the man home. When police arrived, they found out his address, took the man home and waited for a friend to arrive to look after him,” the post read.
“Because he was a bit worse for wear, our officers took the opportunity to record the moment with a selfie in the likely event he could not remember how he got home.”
The photo, which was picked up by popular site Reddit, has already received over 7,500 likes on the Tasmania Police Facebook page, with comments reading, “Hilarious, bravo” and “Good job team!”

Schapelle Corby has posted a video mocking the media following her arrival back into the country.
The convicted drug smuggler, who has spent the past 13 years in Bali, managed to evade waiting media at Brisbane airport on Sunday by sneaking out a back exit and into one of six black SUV cars.
In the clip, shared to her Instagram account, Schapelle can be seen smirking and shrugging her shoulders as her sister Mercedes pans the camera from video footage of the cars, back to Schapelle.
“There’s the convoy. ‘Pelle’s being chased by helicopter,” Mercedes can be heard saying.
“In that car, but… there we are,” she says as she laughs and turns the camera to her sister.
Schapelle captioned the video, which has already been viewed over 80,000 times, “Pelle’s being chased. ‘They’re doing what they do best'” before thanking two friends for helping to arrange the cars.
Mercedes also posted the video, writing, “Doing what they do best … factual news reporting!!!”
Last night Schapelle also posted a close-up image of her handbag, which features a photo of missing boy William Tyrrell.
The 39-year-old held the bag up to media cameras over the weekend as she left Bali, with William’s family then writing a post distancing themselves from her and saying they “are not happy” about the use the photo or being associated with a convicted criminal.

“I know it’s a little daring but when she decides it’s time to vacate, I’m going to share the experience of my labour,” Adele Barbaro begins a recent post on her blog The Real Mumma.
The Melbourne mother has decided to stream the birth of her second child live on Facebook in a move she hopes will raise awareness about the process of labour.
Adele suggests the live stream may give men and woman an insight into childbirth—and show how it can be entirely unpredictable.
While the blogger originally intended for a “calm, drug-free water birth” for her first child Harvey, her plans were turned upside down when she required an emergency caesarian.
In an interview on The Project, Adele assured critics the footage will be “PG”.
“You can rest assured that there’s going to be no gory details,” she joked.
The mother added that the “camera goes off” if anything goes wrong or is not fit for sharing.

Unlike other healthy four-year-olds, little Chase Walker-Steven is unable to walk or talk.
Suffering from severe epilepsy and quadriplegic cerebral palsy, Chase has regular seizures and must be fed through a tube.
His parents, Jacinda ‘Cini’ Walker and Marc Steven, made national headlines after they renounced traditional medicine in favour of alternative treatments for their son.
Speaking to Sunday Nightin an exclusive interview, the couple explained how they turned to the controversial Church of Ubuntu in Newcastle for treatment options. At the church, Cini and Marc were advised to put Chase on an organic diet and treat him with doses of cannabis oil.
“I just instantly see him change,” Cini said about the controversial treatment. “You see him start looking like he can concentrate his eyes.”
At the church, the parents were put in touch with deregistered doctor, Andrew Katelarism, who goes by the nickname “Dr Pot”. Katelaris administered cannabis oil to Chase up to four times a day.
“He certainly seems a lot more responsive in the last few days and a lot less traumatised,” Mr Katelaris told Sunday Night.
But the parent’s unorthodox treatment methods have been condemned by many doctors. During an examination at the Lady Cilento Hospital in Brisbane a month ago, professionals were alarmed by Chase’s dramatic weight loss. The little boy had fallen from 22kgs to 11kgs.
At the end of April, Marc and Cini took their son from hospital after he was admitted against their will.
But the parents insist their treatment plan is giving Chase the best chance he has at survival.
“That’s why we’re not turning back, there’s no way I’m going to go backwards. It’s why we’ll keep fighting because we don’t care what other people think and they think we’re wrong,” Cini explained. “We’ve seen the worst of Chase, you know, to see him now it’s completely different.”

While most know Mario Dedivanovic as the makeup whiz behind Kim Kardashian’s full coverage glam makeup looks, his talent extends beyond a neutral eye look and intense contour. In fact, after a quick scroll through his Instagram feed, it’s clear that Dedivanovic can completely transform anyone with his expert application of products and a lot of blending.
Perhaps the one makeup transformation that amazed us the most and literally had us picking our jaw off the floor was this makeover he gave his sister:
In an interview with Allure, Dedivanovic revealed his makeup makeover secrets and shared exactly how long it took to perfect the look.
#1 / Spend time on your brows
According to the makeup artist, his sister fell victim to the eyebrow curse of the 90s and early 2000s…over-plucking. As a result, she like so many of us has had a “hard time growing them in,” he explained. In order to mimic the effect of full brows, Dedivanovic began by “filling in her arch using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz for definition and then added brow powder in a slightly lighter shade over the pencil for volume.” When it comes to making the finished look as natural-looking as possible, the trick is “all in the strokes and blending,” says Dedivanovic.
#2 / Contour is key
The most striking thing about Dedivanovic’s transformation was how much younger his sister looked. He revealed the reason he was able to shave years off her age was by going “all out with contouring, using both cream and powder. I contoured her forehead, cheeks, jawline, nose and the crease of her eyes using a darker cream foundation, blended very well, and then followed with powder bronzer to set it.”
Contouring and highlighting go hand in hand and Dedivanovic didn’t skimp when it came to adding glow. “I highlighted all of the high points of the face: I used a lighter shade of concealer under the eyes and on the bridge of the nose, and highlighter on the cheekbones, brow bone and Cupid’s bow to make lips appear fuller,” he explained. To ensure you don’t end up with a face that resembles a shimmery mess, Dedivanovic says the “key is really to blend until your hand falls off. It’s important to soften the look.” Message received!
He also revealed that the whole process took nearly two hours to complete! While there’s no doubt the finished look is incredibly impressive, we think we’ll be sticking to our 10-minute morning routine and admiring looks like this from afar.

Before today I was of the firm belief that the Queen of England and I wouldn’t have a single thing in common. However, that has now been swiftly turned on its head as according to Insider, Queen Elizabeth (like me) is a huge fan of Essie nail polishes.
In fact, the monarch is said to be such a big fan that Essie’s Ballet Slippers shade is the only one she has worn for the past 28 years. Now that’s some serious beauty product dedication!
It has also been reported that in 1989 the Queen’s hairdresser wrote to nail polish mogul, Essie Weingarten requesting a bottle of the classic light pink shade for her majesty.
The universally flattering shade is also said to be a favourite amongst other A-list celebrities including Karlie Kloss and Meryl Streep when she played Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada.
The best thing? The royally approved polish will only set you back $16.95!

Melbourne mum Karen Ristevski disappeared from her home close to a year ago – on June 29th 2016 – with her body found buried in the bush this February, 52km from where she was last seen alive.
The 49-year-old walked out of her home in Melbourne’s north-west at around 10am after an argument with her husband over money.
The last thing Karen reportedly told her husband, Borse Ristevski, was “I’m going to go and clear my head.”
Now, an FBI-trained criminal profiler has given some insight into the unsolved murder, saying that though she wasn’t involved in the case, by using the information available to the public and her experience in the field, she has come to the conclusion that either two people were involved in the disposal of Karen’s body, or “one very strong person”.
Speaking to news.com.au, Kris Illingsworth said, “While the murder may have been a spontaneous or pre-planned event, the body disposal site involved deliberate choices made by the offender.”
“Research has shown that when a body is transported to and deposited in a bushland setting, the furthest distance from the parked vehicle is about 30 metres through bushland if easy going, or less than 20 metres if difficult terrain,” she continued. According to reports, Karen’s body was found 50 metres away from the nearest parking opportunity.
“The location of the two logs between which the body was found is also significant. If these logs are not visible from the parking location then it is highly suggestive of the offender having previous knowledge of that concealment site,” Illingsworth noted.
Police are yet to reveal the results of the post-mortem examination on the body, including the cause of death.

Three things we love, in no particular order: face masks, Korean skincare, watermelon. As luck would have it, there’s now a beauty product that combines all three.
Korean brand Glow Recipe has re-released its Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask, which has already sold out once and garnered a 5000-person waitlist. It’s made with the flesh and rind of watermelon (rich in both antioxidants and lycopene), smells just like the stuff and has a bouncy, jelly-like formula.
“My mother used to grate cold watermelon rind to put on my face as a cooling mask,” Glow Recipe cofounder Sarah Lee tells US Vogue. According to Lee, watermelon has long used as a natural salve in Korea to soothe irritated or inflamed skin.
Her mask has the added benefits of hyaluronic acid and exfoliating AHAs, without any nasties like parabens, triclosan or phthalates. Even better, it’s a multi-use product: use as an ultra-luxurious night cream or a 10-minute mask.
The Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask is back in stock now and – praise the beauty gods! – they ship to Australia. We know what we’ll be doing next Sunday night.

Scott Disick may be known for dating a Kardashian sister on-and-off for the past 10 years, but even though Kourtney called it quits with the father of her three children almost two years ago, it doesn’t look like Scott plans on leaving the limelight anytime soon.
Here, five things to know about ‘Lord Disick’:
5. When he’s not with Kourtney, he seriously – and we mean seriously – gets around
This week alone, he has been spotted with actress Bella Thorne, Sofia Richie, and three other girls while in Cannes. And by the looks of his recent Instagram post about a yacht party for his birthday tonight, we’re betting those numbers are going to get significantly higher.
This is just one writer’s humble opinion, but Scott Disick is just about the only funny part of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Admittedly, Kris Jenner has her moments, but they’re few and far between compared to Scott.
Scott’s mum died in 2013 at 63-years-old. Just three months later, his father died. Interestingly, the causes of death for both of his parents are still unclear, however, Scott has said his father had cancer before he died.
While most famous for starring on KUWTK, Scott has also created a fake tan (called Monte Carlo) and a range of menopause supplements for men (called Amidren).

13 Reasons Why was without a doubt the most talked-about series of the year, and with season two officially underway, fans are on the edge of their seats to find out what’s next for their favourite high school characters.
Since Netflix confirmed the show’s return, we haven’t heard much about what season two will entail, apart from this one teaser post:
Now, Selena Gomez has revealed even more of what’s to come, saying, “For season two, we elaborate more on some of those questions and the stories and the resolution, if you will, of what some of these kids have gone through so – and are going through.”
Though she’s one of the show’s producers, Selena says even she was shocked by the storyline for the upcoming season.
“I was in the writers’ room the other day, and they’re working so hard and it’s going to come together. I was sitting there at the table, like, ‘Wait, what happened?!’ Almost like freaking out. I’m so excited. It’s going to be great,” she told Movin’ 92.5.

Just 11 at the time, the Florida girl was allegedly forced to marry a 20-year-old from her Pentecostal church.
The wedding was seen as necessary after Sherry said she was raped by the churchgoer—and had fallen pregnant with his child. Her family and church saw marriage as the best way to avoid a criminal trial,The New York Timesreports.
“My mom asked me if I wanted to get married, and I said, ‘I don’t know, what is marriage, how do I act like a wife?’” Sherry told the publication.
The child bride, now an adult, said she lead a “terrible life”. Over the course of her marriage, she reared nine children, all the while feeling abandoned by her husband.
“My mom asked me if I wanted to get married, and I said, ‘I don’t know, what is marriage, how do I act like a wife?””
Her marriage to the man from her church was approved by a judge who told her: “What we want is for you to get married.”
“They took the handcuffs from handcuffing him to handcuffing me, by marrying me without me knowing what I was doing,” she explained.
According to The New York Times, underage marriage laws in Florida mean children aged 16 and under are still being married—one every few days.
Voice Of America reports that about 170,000 children were married between 2000 and 2010. Many of these were underage girls to men.
Sherry has since made it her crusade to fight for the state to set a minimum marriage age.
“You can’t get a job, you can’t get a car, you can’t get a license, you can’t sign a lease,” she said. “(S)o why allow someone to marry when they’re still so young?”

But stepping out in Cannes over the weekend, the younger Hadid sister rocked a look that we’re surprised didn’t attract the immediate attention of the French fashion police: a completely see-through white crocheted crop top, which she teamed with matching crocheted white pants – and matching crocheted white underwear.

The teenager recalled the terrifying moment the explosion rang out at the arena.
“I was walking out, a massive bang went off and the entire arena shook. I knew people were dead,” she recounts. “I was ringing and ringing my mum, hoping she’d been knocked unconscious and she might wake up and answer — but she never did.”
Wendy Fawell—was a beloved primary school teacher—was killed in the foyer of Manchester Arena.
Charlotte hit back at bomber Salman Abedi, saying: “How would you feel if you were my age and you had no mum? She promised to be here forever and now she isn’t — because of you.”

Mimi Elashiry has been one of Australia’s hottest Instagram sensations for years now, sharing her love of festivals, crystals, vegan food and bikini-clad selfies to her loyal following of 886,000.
The 21-year-old bohemian, who splits her time between L.A. and Sydney, posted a photo yesterday which immediately received backlash from fans.
Sitting on the sand in a bikini, Mimi captioned the now-deleted photo, “Sun Down syndrome.”
Straight away, comments started flooding in, with people saying the model was being “inappropriate” and that she “should really change that caption.”
Whether Mimi was referring to Down Syndrome – the genetic chromosome disorder which results in developmental and intellectual delays – or Sundown Syndrome – a form of Alzheimer’s disease – is unclear, but either way, she’s now thought better of it with the post disappearing from social media few hours ago.

Mollie Syrigos fell pregnant with her first child at just 13-years-old, making her one of Australia’s youngest mums.
And despite speculation about her maturity as a parent—and even calls for her to get an abortion— the teenager says she is thriving as a mother. The Melbourne student gushes when she speaks about her son Theodore’s bright spark.
“Oh my gosh, he is very energetic – an extremely cheeky and happy little boy. He’s like a little sponge really,” she told Nine.com.au in an exclusive interview. “He absorbs things so quickly. He is such a fast learner. He is just awesome, so adorable.”
Now 15-years-old, Mollie is based in Surry Hills with her partner (and Theodore’s father), Oscar Wilks, 16. The pair—who live with Oscar’s father—have another huge challenge ahead: a second baby on the way.
“I know it will a huge challenge but I’m prepared for that challenge,” she explains. “No age defines how well you parent. There’s 30-year-old ice junkie mums out there. I’m doing as best as I can and my son is happy and so is my partner and I think that’s the main thing.”
Mollie said she and Oscar still get “dirty looks and rude comments” but they have persevered as parents. The young mum is aiming to continue her studies and even go to university.
“I’d love to do something with children, or animals or helping people. That’s my goal,” she said. “I love to care for people and I have a very nurturing personality.”

Joshua Jackson has taken to Instagram to congratulate Diane Kruger – his former girlfriend of ten years – for winning ‘Best Actress’ at the closing ceremony of Cannes.
Dianne was honoured with the prestigious accolade for her performance in In the Fade, the actress told the audience she was “overcome” and said “Thank you a thousand times.”
Kruger and Jackson began dating in 2006, and went their separate ways last year. Since the split, Jackson has said that it’s been hard to date after his time with Kruger. Meanwhile, the 40-year-old has been linked to her Sky co-star Norman Reedus in March.
Jackson shared the photo above to his social media account writing, “Yes she Cannes. Having witnessed the integrity and dedication that you bring to every job, I’m over the moon to see you getting the recognition you deserve. Only question is what took ’em so long! CONGRATULATIONS, Josh.”
The actor even hashtagged Kruger’s name at the end of the post, you know, just to be sure the internet got the hint.

It’s the surf brand every Australian high schooler wore with pride: Roxy. We’ve been familiar with the label since childhood, but what we’re willing to bet you didn’t know is the salacious history of its founder, American model Jill Dodd.
Dodd traded her middle class Californian upbringing – her father was a fireman and mother a secretary, she tells the New York Post – for a life of superyachts, couture, drugs… and sleeping with notorious Saudi Arabian billionaire arms dealer, Adnan Khashoggi, who funded her high-flying exploits.
Khashoggi was 44 years old when they met; Dodd was just 21; a model having the time of her life in ‘80s-era Cannes, at a party on a superyacht that she later learnt cost Khashoggi $25,000 to host.
After several meetings and a week spent horse riding on his Spanish estate, Dodd agreed to join Khashoggi’s harem.
“I was awoken in the middle of the night by Adnan, who then drew me a bath and sat on a stool next to the tub,” Dodd writes for the New York Post. “We had another deep conversation and, after snorting cocaine, he questioned how and when I’d lost my virginity.”
“After I agreed to be his ‘pleasure wife’, we had sex,” she goes on. “Even though he was 24 years older than me, he was an extraordinary lover.”
Adnan Khashoggi at the amFAR Gala in Cannes in 2000.
Dodd was spoilt with extravagant jewellery, couture dresses to wear on every date and glamourous parties, but eventually, the shine wore off. She knew Khashoggi was sleeping with other women, was increasingly “worried about AIDS” and realised the balance of power in the relationship was off.
She left the harem in 1982, but kept in touch with Khashoggi over the phone for years.
Fast forward to 1989, and Dodd had founded Roxy. She’s now married to her third husband, Jeff, has a son and two daughters, and lives in her hometown of California.

Schapelle Corby’s extreme lengths to avoid the media frenzy on Australian soil have, ironically, generated a lot of media attention.
The 39-year-old convicted drug smuggler touched down in Brisbane after switching flights at the last minute to throw journalists off the scent. After flying business class from Bali, Corby was met by a presidential-like convoy of black SUVs.

Photographers also captured extraordinary scenes of a man wearing a frightening Halloween mask at Corby’s mothers home in Loganlea, south of Brisbane.
The mastermind behind Corby’s bait and switch? Eleanor Whitman, a female ex-army officer turned security professional, 9News reports.
But what promoted Corby’s complicated plan—and drastic measures to avoid the media?
A man in a mask outside Corby’s mother’s house
The Today Show host Karl Stefanovic hit back at coverage of Corby’s arrival in Brisbane, suggesting perhaps she wants the “mayhem”.
“Schapelle Corby — rightly or wrongly — has been convicted of drug smuggling,” he said. “She’s done her time and has the right to live her life in relative peace — if that’s what she wants. Maybe she wants mayhem. Whatever. I don’t care.”
Despite attempting to avoid the media furore in Brisbane, Corby has begun documenting her new life on a public Instagram page with almost 150k followers.
Journalist Chris O’Keefe suggested Corby could have curbed media attention by releasing a simple statement after touching down on home soil, news.com.au reports.
“I think Australia deserves to hear from her. She could have just ripped the band-aid off, she could’ve come out when she landed in Brisbane, put her hand up and said ‘Thank you for all your support, I’m happy I’m home.’ It’s cat and mouse,” he suggested in an interview on Hit 105 Breakfast.
“She’s saying she’s paranoid and sick of cameras – what’s going on with the Instagram then?”
Lawyer Christian Juebner told news.com.au that although Corby would not be able to profit from her crime, she would be courted by media outlets to tell her story.
“Schapelle Corby can’t make money as a result of her notoriety … arising from her offending but other people can,” he said.
“She will be invited to go on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! She will be invited to go on all sorts of weird and wonderful programs.”

The President of the United States’ first international tour seemed to be just a stream of awkward moments.
From Melania’s avoidance of Trump’s attempts to hold hands not once, but twice, to Pope Francis’ miserable face upon meeting the first family, and, of course, that weird orb holding thing.

The family of William Tyrrell has distanced themselves from Schapelle Corby, after Corby’s unexpected way of drawing attention to the missing boy.
While leaving her villa in Kuta, Bali to fly back to Australia, the 39-year-old held her handbag above her head to the mass of media, showing a picture of William taped to the front accompanied by the words “Where’s William Tyrrell?”
Now, the organisers of the ‘Where’s William’ campaign have written a statement, expressing that while they appreciate her concern, William’s family don’t want to be associated with a convicted drug smuggler in any way.
“While the Where’s William Campaign appreciates that Schapelle Corby has shown concern regarding little William’s disappearance and in using her release as a convicted offender from Bali as a media opportunity to increase awareness that William is still missing, we are not happy,” the Facebook post started.
“William’s family and their campaign to support the NSW Police in their investigation in the search for William have absolutely no association with Schapelle Corby, her supporters or her family and had no prior knowledge of Miss Corby’s intention to use William’s image in this way.”
— The Daily Telegraph (@dailytelegraph) May 27, 2017
“While the Where’s William Campaign aims to increase awareness where possible, this situation regarding Miss Corby has no association whatsoever to William, his loved ones or their campaign to find their little boy,” it finished.
Corby arrived back in Australia yesterday, where she was met by a Presidential-like convoy of black SUVs, after flying business class from Bali to Brisbane.
She has been documenting the past few days on Instagram, to a growing following of 142k, with many left wondering who funded her opulent journey back to the country.

Miranda Kerr and her Snapchat CEO fiancé Evan Spiegel tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Sunday, with fewer than 50 guests in attendance.
In a video shared by TMZ, which the site recorded from outside the couple’s Brentwood home, Miranda can be heard singing the Shania Twain classic You’re Still the One to her new husband.
Who knew wedding karaoke was the celebrity trend we were missing?! Check it out below…
Evan and Miranda announced their engagement last June after a year together. “He’s just a really kind person and very genuine and very authentic and I really appreciate that about him,” Miranda gushed to E! News. “And also, he’s very intelligent.”

More than 12 years after being convicted of drug smuggling in Indonesia, Schapelle Corby is officially back in Australia.
The 39-year-old’s release has been documented closely by media, with her return to the country as extravagant as a Hollywood celebrity’s.
Schapelle started an Instagram hours before departing Bali to document her freedom, the account, which has nine posts, has already amassed 142,000 followers.
Schapelle’s sister then posted another Instagram showing off their business class seats on the 6-hour flight and a bottle of French champagne with the caption, “After resting up its [sic] finally time to cheers. Then looking forward to a good nights [sic] sleep! Love you family and friends, so blessed … #cheers.”
Her and her family then switched flights minutes before they were due to board to avoid the dozens of journalists who had bought seats on the plane.
Upon arriving at Brisbane airport, the family exited out the airport out the back – avoiding hundreds of supporters and media waiting at arrivals – and into waiting cars. A pack of six identical black SUVs left the airport in a Presidential like convoy, splitting off into different directions to avoid being followed.
It’s believed the Corby family is now staying at the five-star Sofitel Hotel in Brisbane’s CBD, yet another expensive cost to add to the list.

Last night, Zoë Foster Blake and Hamish Blake appeared on 60 Minutes to talk about Hamish & Andy‘s 15 year anniversary, and of course, their adorable family.
For anyone who follows the beauty guru and her hilarious husband on social media, it will come as no surprise that three-year-old Sonny Blake stole the show.
Towards the end of the interview, Sonny decides he wants to be on TV and walks into frame to sit in between his parents.
Smiling, he says, “Hi Liz” to the interviewer before going on to thank her for “joining him”, after being prompted by Hamish.
The toddler, who is about to become a big brother, is constantly documented on the pair’s Instagram accounts, already a media sensation in his own right.
When asked about sharing their family – and son – so publically, Hamish answers, “The simple answer is, you share what you’re comfortable sharing and then you keep probably 99.9 per cent private.”
Zoë continued, saying, “Hamish has always had a radio show where he’s very open with his listeners, and I have been a blogger and a writer for a long time so we’ve always been very open talking about our lives, our relationships and everything, so I feel it would almost be unnatural, in a way, to not include our family.”

Ariana Grande has released a long, heartfelt message following the Manchester Arena terror attack at her concert on Monday night.
The singer, who fled the U.K. straight after the incident, had – up until now – only written one Twitter post, saying “Broken. From the bottom of my heart I am so so sorry. I have no words”
Now the 23-year-old says she will return to Manchester to perform a benefit concert to raise money for the families who lost someone during the attack.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BUkJoiDFvru/
The full text reads:
My heart, prayers and deepest condolences are with the victims of the Manchester Attack and their loved ones.
There is nothing I or anyone can do to take away the pain you are feeling or to make this better.
However, I extend my hand and heart and everything I possibly can give to you and yours, should you want or need my help in any way.
The only thing we can do now is choose how we let this affect us and how we live our lives from here on out.
I have been thinking of my fans, and of you all, non stop over the past week. The way you have handled all of this has been more inspiring and made me more proud than you’ll ever know.
The compassion, kindness, love, strength, and oneness that you’ve shown one another this past week is the exact opposite of the heinous intentions it must take to pull off something as evil as what happened Monday.
YOU are the opposite.
I am sorry for the pain and fear that you must be feeling and for the trauma that you, too, must be experiencing.
We will never be able to understand why events like this take place because it is not in our nature, which is why we shouldn’t recoil.
We will not quit or operate in fear.
We won’t let this divide us.
We won’t let hate win.
I don’t want to go the rest of the year without being able to see and hold and uplift my fans, the same way they continue to uplift me.
Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, to love more, to sing louder and to live more kindly and generously than we did before.
I’ll be returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honour of and to raise money for the victims and their families. I want to thank my fellow musicians and friends for reaching out to be a part of our expression of love for Manchester. I will have details to share with you as soon as everything is confirmed.
From the day we started putting the Dangerous Woman Tour together, I said that this show, more than anything else, was intended to be a safe space for my fans. A place for them to escape, to celebrate, to heal, to feel safe and to be themselves. To meet their friends they’ve made online. To express themselves.
This will not change that.
When you look into the audience at my shows, you see a beautiful, diverse, pure, happy crowd.
Thousands of people, incredibly different, all there for the same reason, music.
Music is something that everyone on Earth can share.
Music is meant to heal us, to bring us together, to make us happy.
So that is what it will continue to do for us.
We will continue in honour of the ones we lost, their loved ones, my fans and all affected by this tragedy.
They will be on my mind and in my heart every day and I will think of them with everything I do for the rest of my life.
The post, shared overnight, has already received over 2m likes and 125,000 comments from fans, reading, “Stay strong,” and, “We will stand together and lift each other up. Thank you for your incredible spirit.”

Videos of a 5-year-old girl asking her mum where Obama went have gone viral after her mother shared the clips to Instagram.
Taylor started by asking, “where did Obama go? before going on to ask a series of questions about Hillary Clinton, Trump, and what the president was even winning anyway.
Her mum captioned the first video, “This all started because she wanted to know, Where did Barack Obama go? And where is the president’s house. She is still mad.”

In 2012, Indian woman Lalita Ben Bansi was the victim of a horrific acid attack at the hands of her cousin after a minor argument.
Lalita’s face was severely disfigured and she had to undergo 17 surgeries. The 26-year-old told Metro that “I had never thought that I would ever get married”.
But after accidentally dialing a wrong number, Lalita found the love of her life, 27-year-old Ravi Shankar.
After talking on the phone and dating for two-months, the couple set a wedding date. This week Lalita and Ravi Shankar tied the knot at a colourful ceremony in Mumbai.

“Who would have thought an acid attack and 17 surgeries later I would find love. But it happened,” Lalita told the Hindustan Times. “Shankar taught me to believe in love. It is a fresh start.”
“I liked her from the beginning,” the groom added. “I had to only convince my mother to accept my choice. I had to make Lalita believe that she too had the right to a better life.”

“Our new range of beanies go on sale in a few days time so please buy one and hopefully we can donate even more next year... Together we can make a difference.”

Leave it to Chuck Bass to kill all of our Gossip Girl reunion dreams.
Actor, Ed Westwick, said he wasn’t interested in being part of an upper east side reunion, should it ever be on the cards.
When Radio Times asked Chuck – sorry, Ed – whether he’d like to give the show another go, he answered, “Nah, that’s not gonna happen.” While he realises that other shows like Gilmore Girls and Will and Grace are doing reunion shows, he notes that it would be a bit strange to do a reunion for something that only ended four years ago.
“It feels like we only just finished! And I haven’t done enough in between yet to feel like I could comfortably revisit it,” Westwick said. “And I did so much with that character – it’s played out, man. It’s done.”
In true Chuck Bass style, Ed did note one way he might be persuaded: if Netflix poured a lot of cash into the project.

In 2015, South Carolina mother Sarah Toney showed up at the back door of her neighbour’s Myrtle Beach home, claiming she had lost her baby in the nearby creek.
Rescuers later found the infant dead in flood waters, Peoplereports.
Asked why she had taken her 5-month-old daughter Grace Carlson Santa Cruz into the water, Toney explained that she was “trying to find God”. The mother also told police she took the infant to the creek because she would not stop crying.
In January, Toney pleaded guilty to drowning her baby and was sentenced to 27 years in prison.
Now, the 34-year-old woman wants to repeal her plea, saying it was made involuntarily and was “unlawfully induced,” Myrtle Beach Online reports.

Ms Toney claims her attorney did not call any expert witnesses to comment on her mental health, or consider if she suffered from postpartum depression. A police report obtained by People notes that Toney seemed to be in “emotional distress and exhibited behavior normally associated with the use of methamphetamine,” at the time of her arrest.
During her original hearing, Toney’s laywer, Jonathan Fox, asked the court for leniency, citing instances of sexual abuse and hardship in his client’s past.

In age when celebrities rarely dare to set foot on the street – much less a red carpet –without having their look carefully put together by a stylist, Diane Kruger has always stood out.
The stunning star has become synonymous with effortless, cool girl style – one that’s all her own, as she rarely seeks out professional help.
So this latest news is well overdue: Kruger is launching a fashion capsule, with the help of her longtime friend Jason Wu (Wu has already designed a bag in her honour).
Bad news for our wallets; brilliant news for our wardrobes.
Wu announced the collab with the above Instagram, writing, “Diane is a dear friend and someone I’ve collaborated with for many years. We came up with the idea of creating the capsule together during Christmas vacation in Tulum over drinks on the beach – it just felt so right!”
“It has been thrilling watching this capsule collection come together in the most effortless way,” he adds.
Kruger wore designs from the collection, which will form part of Wu’s Grey diffusion line, to her Cannes photocall – a chic white tank and pinstripe twill palazzo pants.

Kirsten Dunst looked incredible for her 2017 Cannes Film Festival debut, wearing a pale blue A-line dress and bright red lips.
The actress was at the premiere of Sofia Coppola’s latest film, The Beguiled, which she stars in alongside Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell.
However, while walking the red carpet Kirsten seemed to get overwhelmed, bursting into tears while talking to Sofia and Elle.
Though the 35-year-old hasn’t yet explained her emotional moment, we can only assume they were happy tears, given her co-star and director’s smiling reactions. Bless!
Dunst managed to pull herself together to get some incredible red carpet shots afterwards – plus, her makeup stayed in place! That’s one waterproof mascara we’d like to get our hands on.

An American teenager has been banned from walking at her graduation at her Christian school in Maryland because she is pregnant.
Maddi Runkles, 18, was told she was not allowed to walk in the ceremony at Heritage Academy because she was “immoral”. The teenager’s pregnancy breaches the school’s strict no “sexual activity” outside of marriage code.
Maddi told CBC Radiothat she felt like she had been “shamed” for falling pregnant in January.
“I had a lot of fear just because of my background, growing up in church and stuff like that and going to a Christian school, and I just knew what everyone was going to think about me and my family once they found out,” she said.
She added: “I was told that I was not allowed to come back to school, and I had to stay home and finish my classes, and I wasn’t allowed to be seen on campus, and I could not attend any school event until after I had the baby.”
The teenager said the school’s hurtful policy had diminished her academic achievements.
“It hurts, because I feel like all of my academic accomplishments have just been kind of thrown away and I won’t be acknowledged for everything I worked hard for,” she explained.
Maddi Runkles is 18, an A student. She's pregnant. For that, her Christian school won't let her 'walk' at graduation.https://t.co/eMSzXchoxi
In a statement the school’s administrator David Hobbs confirmed Maddi will receive her diploma, but condemned the student’s actions.
“Maddi is being disciplined, not because she’s pregnant, but because she was immoral,” he wrote. “(H)er immorality is the original choice she made that began this situation.”
The teenager says she has the full support of her friends and family through her pregnancy. Maddi’s parents are even arranging a private graduation ceremony and she plans to go to college after school.
“I’m still going to go after everything that I wanted to before this happened,” she said. “I’m just going to have to have a different path to get there.”

The authors of a paper published last month have been criticised for suggesting that anorexia – a mental illness – could provide “insight” to those with obesity.
Titled Long-Term Weight Loss Maintenance in Obesity: Possible Insights From Anorexia Nervosa?, the article has been called fat-phobic by experts.
According to psychologist and eating disorder specialist, Louise Adams, “The authors are suggesting that fat people can learn a thing or two from anorexics.”
“Anorexia has the highest mortality rate of all mental illnesses: it kills close to a quarter of sufferers. To suggest that this deadly disease could be good for fat people seriously highlights the enormity of our fat phobia,” she told the Sydney Morning Herald.
In Australia, 63.4% of adults are overweight. As the obesity rate has risen over the past decade, so, too, has fat shaming.
Writer and “real life fat person,” Ragen Chastain says The Biggest Loser is an example of our weight-bias culture.
“If a thin person says that they severely restrict calories and exercise for eight-plus hours a day, those are red flags for an eating disorder. If a fat person does the same thing, we put them on a TV, give them a trainer to ‘encourage’ them with mental and physical abuse and watch the ratings soar,” she wrote on Ravishly.
While there isn’t a simple solution to the obesity epidemic, it’s clear that anorexia isn’t the answer.
Adams suggests we support overweight people and those with eating disorders, “Let’s help support people of all shapes and sizes to look after themselves in healthy and sustainable ways.”

While we’re tossing up whether to spend our hard-earned cash on smashed avocado or a house deposit, the Financial Review has unveiled its list of the country’s richest people.
Of the 200 richest Australians named by the publication – just 22 women make the cut.
Predictably, mining magnate Gina Rinehart tops the list of the wealthiest females, with a cool $10.4 billion. Rinehart, now considered Australia’s richest farmer, is also listed overall as the third wealthiest person in Australia.
https://gfycat.com/ClearcutHiddenJohndory
Her estranged daughter is the second wealthiest woman with $2.74 billion, followed by Vicky Teo with $1.91 billion and Angela Bennett on $1.76 billion.
The top five list of wealthy women is rounded out by Alexandra Burt and Leonia Baldock on $1.55 billion.
According to the AFR, the combined wealth of the five richest men is more than double the combined wealth of the top five females. There’s only six female billionaires of the 60 billionaires on the list. The gender wealth gap is real, my friend.

Meanwhile, Cannes Queen Nicole Kidman was named the highest ranked entertainer on the 2017 Rich List, with $347 million to her name.
That places her at number 197 on the list. Our Nicole has come a long way from her days as a BMX bandit.

A woman in her 40s and her 9-year-old son have been found dead in their home in Adelaide.
Police were called to the house in the seaside suburb Glenelg North at around 11pm on Thursday after the woman’s estranged partner could not get in touch with her, ABC News reports.
Addressing media today, Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Overmeyer explained the bodies have not yet been identified but are believed to be mother and son.
Asked if it was being treated as a potential murder suicide, Chief inspector Overmeyer said they were “not treating it as anything” and were preparing a report for the coroner.
“An investigation is continuing and it’s in its infancy, however, it is believed there is no other person involved in these tragic circumstances,” he said.
Chief inspector Overmeyer added that the woman’s estranged partner was “not doing very well at all”.

The mega-model’s love of Tony Bianco’s Diddy sock boots is well documented, so we’re not all that surprised to see her stepping out in them again. So what is new? Her outfit, which incorporates some of this season’s key trends.
Hadid teamed her beloved boots with a pair of Mother The Insider Crop Step Fray striped jeans, her Tommy Hilfiger sweat (sadly yet to hit stores) and Oliver Peoples x The Row ’90s-style shades. But it’s the Tony Bianco boots that really pull the look together.

Just half an hour before Olivia Campbell died in the Manchester terror attacks, the 15-year-old sent a joyful text message to her boyfriend sharing her excitement.
“I’m having so much fun,” the teenager wrote at 9.53pm, The Sunreports. Olivia signed off the text to her boyfriend, Lewis Brierley, with three hearts.
The teenager was one of 22 people who tragically lost their lives after a nail bomb was detonated at Manchester Arena on Monday.
Lewis shared an emotional tribute to his girlfriend on Facebook, posting: “Words can’t describe how happy I am that she was in my life.”
“My heart aches when I see her face it aches not knowing, not knowing what we could have been as a couple,” he wrote. “I pray for all of the family’s (sic) of the casualties may you find peace with you (sic) loved ones.”
He ended the message with the heartbreaking declaration: “I love you Olivia and I will never forget you as long as I live.”

An emotional tribute to the victims of the Manchester bombing
“It’s the most horriblest feeling ever,” Ms Campbell recounted. “To know your daughter’s there and you can’t find her, you don’t know if she’s dead or alive … And I don’t know how people can do this to innocent children.”
The mother posted an emotional tribute to the teenager on Facebook today confirming the sad news.
“RIP my darling precious gorgeous girl Olivia Campbell taken far far to soon go sing with the angels and keep smiling mummy loves you so much,” she wrote.
The terror attacks have been described as the worst in the past decade in the UK and have claimed the lives of 22 people.

Blake Lively fans will be happy to know the star plans to star and also executive produce The Husband’s Secret, an upcoming film based on best-selling book by Liane Moriarty, the author of Big Little Lies.
Much like the hit series that Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman star in, the film is a murder mystery which will keep viewers guessing.
Lively will play the role of Cecilia Fitzpatrick, a busy wife and mother who discovers a dark secret her husband has kept, which leaves her to believe their life together has been built on a foundation of lies and murder.
CBS Films president Terry Press told Hollywood Reporter that “Liane Moriarty has established herself as one of the defining voices of the modern woman, and Blake Lively’s unique combination of vulnerability, strength and extraordinary talent makes her the perfect actress to realise Moriarty’s creation.”
Lively’s was last seen acting in The Shallows and Cafe Society.

Following revelations of the untimely death of Miriam Merten at Lismore Base hospital, a mother has come forward claiming the treatment of her infant baby at the NSW hospital was “third world.”
The young mum and her partner, who wanted to remain anonymous, say they took their premature two-month-old baby boy to the Lismore Base Hospital’s emergency department in late 2014 when he wouldn’t stop crying and lacked interest in food.
They were told by doctors that the child’s symptoms were “because he’s a premature baby” before being sent home.
By January of 2015, a mass on the baby’s belly button had grown from the size of a pea to the size of a cricket ball. The mum rushed back to the hospital for treatment when the mass started “going purple and green.”
She tells nine.com.authat staff were unsure how to treat her son and though she expected an ambulance to rush him to a Gold Coast or Brisbane hospital, that didn’t happen. Instead, the doctors tried to push the unidentified lump back into the baby’s stomach.
“Eventually they said ‘we’ve got a bottle teat, I’ll put the bottle teat in there and you just stand there and hold it’,” she recalled before they proceeded to attach it to the child’s tummy with sticky tape.
The distraught mum says when she went to change her baby’s nappy, it was filled with blood. When she started taking photos to document what was happening, she was told by a nurse that “it was just a virus.”
“I was so verbally hostile that they had to get another matron on the shift… they were trying to cover something,” she said.
Eventually, she was told she had to drive her sick son to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane herself. “We had no choice in making the decision to drive. We were told that it’s not life threatening.”
“As long as you are breathing you’re fine in that hospital. If you take a turn for the worst, you have no way of surviving. None.”
When she reached the Brisbane hospital with her baby she says he received immediate care and she was put at ease.
“Compared to Lismore Base this was more than a five-star hotel, it was a resort and it was a hospital,” she said.
She says she now tells her friends and family not to go to Lismore Base and to drive straight to Brisbane. “Your kids are in a lot of danger if you go to that place.”
The mum is now in the process of suing the hospital, including documenting her other experiences during her pregnancy with her son.

American kindergarten student Jeffrey Laney has a simple yet serious message for the adults in his life: “people need to stop killing each other”.
The 6-year-old from St. Louis has desperately pleaded for an end to all gun violence in a video filmed by his mother.
“People need to stop killing each other around here because this is just making me feel bad,” Jeffrey explains in the video. “I’m really serious. I’m really scared to die, and I’m really scared for my family to die. I’m scared.”
In the four-minute-and-20-second clip, Jeffrey acknowledges that he is too young to know about the horrifying prevalence of gun violence in America.
“I’m not supposed to know about all these guns,” he says. “I know about all bad stuff. I’m supposed to be learning about school.”
The video was posted on Facebook last week and has since gone viral, amassing over 177,000 views.
His mother Leanndra Cheatham told CNN that gun violence hit close to home for Jeffrey and her family. Leanndra’s 16-year-old cousin was shot to death outside of his school last month.
She said if her son’s video “changes the mind of a few or even if it’s just one person,” it will be “a job well done.”
