The Hamish & Andy radio show has gone on a two week hiatus, but itโs not all bad news for fans, as the radio duo prepare for their new TV show.
Hamish Blake and Andy Lee will retire from radio for good at the end of the year, but until then, will focus on their radio and new TV gig.
True Story with Hamish and Andy, debuts on Channel Nine on June 5 andbrings to life hilarious stories told by everyday Australians, acted out by well known actors and comedians.
โThereโs no prize, no recording contract, you donโt fall in love at the end of it or become a chef,โ Blake told Confidential. โThe prize is you just get to sit there and often embarrass yourself in front of us and tell your story.โ

Reading a good book at the beach, on a Sunday morning in bed, and in the bath with candles, will never not be one of lifeโs most luxurious pleasures.
Even our favourite celebrities seem to agree. Emma Watson hides books on the London Underground and runs her own feminist book club,Lena Dunham, Emma Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker and Sarah Michelle Gellar are all well known for their public and frequent book recommendations, and everyone from Karlie Kloss to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have proven that a book selfie is the best kind.
Past studies have already found that reading can help to reduce stress and that growing up around books means you tend to earn more as an adult. And, to make that positive list a little longer, itโs now itโs been found that those who read are nicer.
A recent study by Kingston University concludes that people who read works of fiction tend to be kinder and more empathetic towards others.
โExposure to fiction relates to a range of empathetic abilities,โ said researchers at the British Psychological Society conference last week.
โEngaging with fictional prose and comedy, in particular, could be key to enhancing peopleโs empathetic abilities,โ they revealed.
The study involved 123 participants, who were questioned over their preference for books, plays and TV shows, and tested on their interpersonal skills, The Telegraph reports.
Results found that fans of fiction fans generally showed more positive social behaviour and those who read drama and romantic novels showed high levels of empathy.
Fans of experimental books were most able to see things from alternative perspectives, and readers who favoured comedy were best at relating to others.
Well, we certainly know what weโre doing this weekend.

With Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia just around the corner, we asked the buyers from your favourite international shopping destinations about what theyโll be wearing to sit front row and the brands on their radar.
Lisa Aiken, retail fashion director at Net-A-Porter
What trend will you be wearing at MBFWA?
โReworked shirting as itโs so versatile; it instantly updates an outfit and the styling options are endless. My favourite way to wear it at the moment is with high-waisted vintage denim and layered over a polo neck top.โ
โGeorgia Alice. She showcased her first runway show last year at MBFWA and we picked up the brand straight away. [It has been] great to introduce an emerging brand from New Zealand to our global audience.โ
https://www.instagram.com/p/BSHGBQAAe3G/
Chelsea Perzov, contemporary RTW & swim buyer at Moda Operandi
What trend will you be wearing at MBFWA?
โIโm loving the silk robe trend. Itโs perfect for the transition months when the weatherโs a bit moody. I think there is an inherent โcool factorโ in a robe, especially for the day with denim and a mule. A go-to look when jet lag kicks in and what-to-wear seems like an equation.โ
Which shoes wouldnโt you leave home without?
โMy Bally loafers are super comfortable and can easily be dressed up or down with their foldable heels. They are easy to pack and of course, super chic.โ
Which designer are you most excited to see?
โI always look forward to MBFWA โ maybe not the flight! โ but definitely the fashion. If I must choose, Iโm most looking forward to seeing Dion Lee this season โ heโs the opening show of the week and weโre planning to launch a trunkshow of his full collection immediately after.โ
โIโll be channelling the romantic trend and wearing Zimmermann floral print dresses, Chloe tops paired with denim and pale pink knits and separates from Raey. I think this trend will work perfectly in the sunny Sydney climate and of course the knits are useful for when the sun goes down.โ
Which shoes wouldnโt you leave home without?
โItโs too hard to pick just one pair so am going to choose two โ one for day and one for evening. For day Iโll be packing a pair of Goya sandals โ not only super comfortable theyโre also chic, timeless and will go with everything. For evening Iโll pack a pair of pumps from the recently launched collaboration between Self-portrait and Robert Clergerie โ I love the Leyla suede sandals which are the perfect fusion between Clergerieโs contemporary aesthetic and Self-Portraitโs hyper-feminine fabrics.โ
Which designer are you most excited to see?
โIโm really looking forward to seeing Albus Lumenโs show as we picked them up for SS17 and love what Marina is doing with the brand.โ
โIโm loving yellow at the moment โ I genuinely think that it cheers people up. I just got my hands on a beautiful yellow ruffle dress from Philosophy and canโt wait to wear it.โ
Which shoes wouldnโt you leave home without?
โMy black Old Skool Vans. I know how busy the week is going to be and theyโre so easy to run around in.โ
Which designer are you most excited to see?
โMichael Lo Sordo; it was great meeting him in Paris last year and I also loved his collection. He makes a great silk trench coat, which is always on my wish list.โ

The quest to find the perfect lip balm can last a lifetime. You want one thatโs not too sticky, not too shiny; one that wears well on its own but works equally well under lipstick.
So when you finally find your perfect match, it makes sense to stock up. Which weโre guessing explains the runaway success of the Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto nude lip balm, $59, which had famously sold out across all Sephora storesโฆ until now.
Weโll keep this short, because you donโt have much time: just 1500 of the sell-out beautifying lip balms have been sent to Sephora stores across Australia, and just like their predecessors, theyโre expected to go in a flash.
Keep reading while you walk โ no, run! โ to your nearest store: the Le Rouge Perfecto is a triple-threat of moisturising hyaluronic acid, lip-plumping pepperslim and menthol and colour-boosting wonder ingredients that react to your skinโs pH to give you an oh-so-natural rosy glow.
Weโre obsessed with the pale (dare we say, millennial?) pink leather bullet and the lightly fragranced scent too.

Three Customs and Border Protection agents in the US have made explosive allegations of ritualised sexual assault and workplace hazings, which they say took place for years at Newark Airport.
Speaking to NBC, the agents allege they were duct-taped to a notorious conference table known as the โrape tableโ by senior employees and even held at gunpoint.
CBP officer Vito Degironimo described the senior officers as โmonstersโ.
โThey take you in a room, and your fellow officers are all watching as officers grab you,โ he said.
โOnce the lights go out, they grab you up like a gang, and they forcibly throw you on the table and one officer ended up mounting me and pretty much riding me like a horse.โ
Degironimo revealed he is still haunted by a song from the MTV show Jackass, which he said was played during the alleged hazing.
โItโs called the โParty Boy song.โ Itโs something they played in the past and it becomes their theme for the event.โ
According to female officer Diana Cifuentes, an agent told her: โโYou deserve to be put on the rape tableโ.
She said she was held down while another secured her to a chair with green customs tape. Cifuentes reports an officer even pulled a gun on her.
The third officer, Dan Arencibia, believes his career has been ruined by the incidents, while Cifuentes revealed, โI do nothing but cryโ.
The officersโ attorney Patrick Metz suggested the alleged sexual harassment had been ongoing for years and was โcommon knowledgeโ among Newark employees.
A spokesperson for US Customs and Border Protection told Broadly an investigation into the hazing allegations was currently underway.
โWe do not tolerate corruption or abuse within our ranks, and we cooperate fully with all criminal or administrative investigations of alleged misconduct by any of our personnel, whether it occurs on or off duty,โ the spokesperson said.

This year others see you as being different โ and you are. It seems like youโve finally found the inspiration to make dreams come true. Your desire for freedom and new experiences is intense and urgent. Youโre far more rebellious with a strong need to travel โ or simply, escape the daily routine. Do it, if you can. It wonโt be a lonely journey, as love beckons.
Aries (March 21 โ April 20)
Ariesโ tensions flare as power struggles promote either fight or flight. Anger can be explosive, but suppressing emotions isnโt healthy either. If you have a problem, aim for a positive outcome rather than just venting. Either clear the air or take a very long walk.
Taurus (April 21 โ May 20)
At times itโs difficult to know whatโs really going on. Despite their best intentions, what others say may be misleading. In the same way, itโs you who could be misunderstood. This need not, however, lead to major problems. Being forewarned is being forearmed.
Gemini (May 21 to June 21)
The week ahead requires decisive handling as cosmic forces close the gates on unviable projects. Expect disappointments, arguments or financial setbacks. If necessary, just let go. You canโt argue with such a hearty dose of planetary common sense.
Cancer (June 22 โ July 22)
Many put their thoughts to creating the future while robbing the present moment. Allow yourself to have goals, but achieve them in the present. The future is your artwork โ paint it with awareness. Let whatever happens unfold as you walk diligently forward in the here and now.
Leo (July 23 โ August 23)
Youโre bent on dipping your toes over that proverbial horizon โ so donโt be surprised if you find yourself on a first-name basis with your travel agent. Current relationships climb to a new level of intensity. New romance looks to have a reassuringly long warranty.
Virgo (August 24 โ September 22)
Despite your reputation for being detached, there are many secrets hidden beneath that cool exterior. This makes you a bit of a mystery, really. And perhaps you prefer it that way. After all, thereโs no point in showing your entire hand, when one card at a time will do.
Libra (September 23 โ October 23)
Your open and trusting attitude has just had a smack on the wrist. Youโve not been as careful as usual, and an abusive element has possibly just taken you for a ride. Sit quietly, and come to terms with a few home truths. For starters โ not everyone is trustworthy.
Scorpio (October 24 โ November 22)
Youโre very chatty this week โ so unlike you, Scorpio. Frenetic thoughts race around your mind and you canโt wait to share them with anyone that happens to be around. Just try not to monopolise the conversation. Others will feel resentful if they canโt get a word in.
Sagittarius (November 23 โ December 21)
Feeling frazzled? Not surprising. Times have been tough, with money issues demanding more attention. Good news: stress finally starts to ease, to the point where you can relax. This is a healing cycle that occurs only a few times a year, so make it count.
Capricorn (December 22 โ January 20)
A secret is exposed. While you may feel a tad indignant at having your psyche placed on such public display โ avoid any temptation to retaliate. This is not a time to shoot whatever grace you have left in the foot. You will survive this little blunder.
Aquarius (January 21 โ February 18)
Youโve an uncanny knack to hit the bypass switch on tension. Sure you suffer stress just like the rest of us, but a different kind of catalyst triggers your neuroses. So in a week when many suffer an anxiety overdose, most Aquarians safely negotiate rough terrain.
Pisces (February 19 โ March 20)
Reality presents a cash flow crisis that threatens to send finances into a spin. While grand schemes give you something to aspire to โ they can also break the bank. Fortunately, your more practical side should step in before dreams soar dangerously high.

Earlier this year, Jodie Fox found herself at the Screen Actors Guild Awards alongside Meryl Streep, wearing a designer gown and taking selfies with Sophie Turner from Game Of Thrones. How did this former lawyer from Lismore in rural NSW end up at the most glamorous event of the year rubbing shoulders with Hollywood royalty? Simple. She founded a shoe business.
But not just any shoes business. In 2009, Fox founded the custom footwear website Shoes Of Prey โ allowing women to design their own shoes โ after struggling to find the perfect pair of heels herself. Along with her then husband Michael Fox and friend Mike Knapp, the trio started off with an initial investment of $50,000. โIt was intense. I did a lot of my work from the couch,โ says Fox of the early days. โI remember I would fall asleep at night with my laptop in bed and wake up the next morning and start at it again.โ
Eight years later, the three-person team has grown to 220 worldwide with a factory in China. The couch has been replaced by a swanky office in L.A. and the $50,000 initial investment has been surpassed by $25 million in funding. Fox is reminded of how far she has come and how big her business has grown every time she opens her office door in the morning. โItโs mind blowing that what started off as an idea is now this physical tangible thing in the world โ and pushing that Shoes Of Prey door open every day is a reminder of that,โ she admits.
Fox credits part of her success to a movement towards experiences over things. โShoes Of Prey is the only place where you can get custom made shoes at non luxury prices โ and you can put them together in the same way you would put an outfit together, choosing everything including the colour, fabric and heel size,โ she explains.
Shoes Of Prey has taken Jodie Fox from Lismore to L.A.
The big question โ of course โ isnโt why the business has succeeded. Itโs: how many shoes does Fox own? โItโs well into the 100s,โ she says with a laugh. โI still have the first pair of shoes I ever designed.โ Here Fox answers the other tough questionsโฆ
Secret to success: Push yourself before youโre ready. In life, itโs natural to want to prepare for things, but the truth is, life is messy. You need to get in there and try things.
Breakfast of champions: I make my own green smoothie every morning. When I went travelling for a year in 2015, I dragged my nutri-bullet with me.
Hardest lesson: Donโt take things personally. Itโs not an easy thing for me to do because I care deeply about my work, but sometimes you have to make tough decisions and know business isnโt personal.
Top interview tip: Show your passion. You can be the smartest person on the planet, but I also want to know you care.
Coffee order: If itโs a good coffee place, an espresso. If itโs questionable, Iโll order a flat white.
Wind down: Hanging out with my cat Hunter on a Friday night. (We can see whyโฆ.)

Margot Robbie and her new husband Tom Ackerley are notoriously low-key, and they value their privacy above all else. Itโs 100% justified, but it also means weโre obsessed with literally anything the pair do together in public. Hey, we all want what we canโt have, after all!
Tom took to Instagram today to share a beachy snap with his new bride, and their friends Julia Koenig and Nicholas Chalmers.
Yes, Tom and Margot are indeed sporting matching pyjamas.
According to the blushing bride Juliaโs Instagram, the above snap was taken twelve weeks ago, however she also shared this photo from Kuai just two days ago. The series of blurry polaroids appear to show Tom and Margot relaxing with friends on the island ahead of the wedding ceremony. If you look really close, Margotโs younger brother Cameron Robbie can also be seen enjoying the festivities.
The cute couple share the occasional photograph together, including this tongue-in-cheek snap from the day after their wedding.

In days of old, playgroups and first time motherโs groups were a way for women in a similar stage of life to connect with one another.
In 2017, thatโs being eclipsed by Peanut โ a Tinder-like app designed to match like-minded mums in the same location. Think virtual playgroup โ except you get to choose who you hang with.
Much like Tinder, Peanut users swipe up to connect with someone, down to disregard. An algorithm finds women in the same location and with the same interests. You can even find women based on shared experiences, from being a single mum to having a child with special needs, the New York Times reports.
Peanut was created by London-based entrepreneur Michelle Kennedy, who helped to launch Bumble and saw a gap in the market after she had her first child.

โThereโs something really empowering about going, โHell, I can do this! I can do this all!โ Thatโs the wonderful thing about mothers, you can because you must, and you just DO,โ Kate Winslet told Today.
Chrissy Teigen

When I would put Nahla on the boob she would go (imitates light sucking) a nice little girly suck; with him, itโs like heโs like sucking the life out of me,โ Halle Berry told The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Hilary Duff
โI always feel torn or guilty about something. Iโm not working right now, and at first I stressed about that, like, โOh, I shouldnโt stay still this long.โ And thatโs ridiculous. I have a child; itโs totally fine to not be slammed all the time. It feels really good to not be on someone elseโs schedule โ besides Lucaโs. Iโm basically his chauffeur!โ Hilary Duff told Redbook.
Blake Lively
โYou never know when youโre gonna get crapped on or when youโre gonna get a big smile or when that smile immediately turns into hysterics. It might be like living with a drug addict,โ Blake Lively told the Los Angeles Times,

My mother used to dress rather risquรฉ when I was a kid, and that sort of shocked me. In hindsight, I thought it was pretty cool, but Iโm probably more conservative because of it,โ Drew Barrymore told Elle
Mila Kunis

Sorry everyone, but it looks like a Friends reunion wonโt be happening anytime soon. Devastating, we know.
It turns out, Jennifer Aniston doesnโt think the show would even work in 2017.
The actress, who (as you know) played Rachel for 10 years, revealed, โWe were jokingly saying that if Friends was created today you would have a coffee shop full of people that were just staring into iPhones.
โThere would be no actual episodes or conversations.โ
Which, unfortunately, does make quite a lot of sense.
Just imagine it: Joey would be uploading selfies from the set of Days of Our Lives, Monica would have an Instagram account dedicated to pictures of food, Rachel would upload photos of her outfit every single day, and Phoebe would have a YouTube channel dedicated to her songs.
Speaking to Arianna Huffington on her new Thrive Global Podcast with iHeart Radio, the 48-year-old actress also revealed that even she โ sans any forms of social media โ has a hard time putting down her phone.
She said that though she tries to start her day with meditation and a cuddle with husband, Justin Theroux, if she ends up on her phone, itโs impossible to pull herself away. โAnd even if you do, itโs half-assed. Youโre kind of there, kind of not, and Iโm not getting the benefits of what I could be getting that I usually do.โ
โI honestly think I used to sleep beautifully and I donโt think I attributed to the fact that these phones came into our lives that have actually started to disrupt our sleep.โ
Lisa Kudrow has also shut down a Friends reunion, with another valid point. She told the Today show, โIt would be fun, but what would it be about? Think about it: The thing we liked about that show was it was, like, twentysomethings, and they were their own family, and now they all have families. So what are we gonna watch?โ

Perth mother Stella Channing is one of many women across the world whose quality of life has plummeted as a result of one simple procedure.
In 2011, the mother-of-three received a vaginal mesh implant to repair her post-childbirth prolapse, reports Kidspot.
The mesh is a net-like implant made of a plastic called polypropene, which aims to assist the pelvic floor muscles in keeping internal organs in place.
But instead of offering a pain-free solution, the implant has gradually deteriorated inside Stellaโs body over the past six years, resulting in excruciating pain.
Adding to the ordeal, it is nearly impossible for Stella, 58, to get the mesh removed.
โOnly one doctor in America is trained to do a full removal but not only can I not sit for that long on a plane โ I canโt even afford the airfare,โ she told Kidspot.
Just a month before Stellaโs procedure, the Therapeutic Goods Administration issued a high-risk warning about the mesh kit implant she received.
โBut I only found this out after the operation. The doctor told me it was low risk,โ she says.
Stella equates the pain to the feeling of broken glass and burning petrol in her vagina and rectum. She was forced to quit her job because of the pain two years ago, now avoids social outings and has spiralled into depression.
โWhat is the point to my life? I just feel like I no longer add any value anywhere,โ she told Kidspot. โMy future looks bleak.โ
While the company that produced Stellaโs implant has stopped manufacturing it, other meshes are still in use.
Kath Sansom, a UK journalist and founder of the Sling The Mesh support page on Facebook, shared her own ordeal in The Guardian.
In 2015, Sansom received an implant to treat incontinence as a result of childbirth. She, too, felt excruciating pain after the operation.
โThe pain in my legs and feet was so intense, along with burning pains in my vagina โ like being cut with a cheese wire โ that I knew something was terribly wrong,โ she wrote.
โWhen I searched online I discovered women worldwide suffering similar problems. All were being ignored, not only by their surgeons but also by the media.โ
In Australia, a federal Inquiry is now compiling evidence about the number of women who have been suffered from the mesh implants.
Summing up the ordeal, Senator Derryn Hinch concluded it is: โone of the greatest medical scandals and abuses of mothers in Australiaโs historyโ.

She may be in the process of changing her image from former reality TV star to successful business mogul, but Paris Hilton sure has a funny way of going about it.
She recently invited W Magazine into her home, which the title describes as a shrine to the socialiteโs noughties self โ think Paris on the walls, Paris on the cushions, Paris on โevery surface in the house.โ Amid, of course, lashings of hot pink.
The only thing more shocking than the Paris palace? The words she utters within them.
In case you werenโt aware, it was Paris Hilton who took the worldโs first selfie. In fact, according to the 36-year-old, you have her to thank for pretty much all the cool things you own/do/wear.
โIf a beeper had a camera, I would have taken a selfie with it,โ Hilton tells W. โI think I have a selfie from when I was a little kid, like on a disposable camera.โ
She was also responsible for the influencer trend. โWe started a whole new genre of celebrity that no one had ever seen before,โ she says. She makes a valid point โ pre-Paris, no-one was famous simply for being famous.
As W points out, the first episode of The Simple Life, her reality TV series with Nicole Richie, rated higher than the all-time highest ratings of The Hills and Keeping Up With The Kardashians combined, attracting an audience of 13-million.
Finally, sheโs also responsible for modern day fashion. โTo now see things on the runway, and to see girls wearing things that I used to wear is really cool because nobody really dressed like me back in the day,โ Hilton says.

The teenager who disappeared from her home in Tennessee says she doesnโt want to return to her family and rather, wants to stay with the man who kidnapped her.
15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas was found in an isolated hut in California, 4000km away from her hometown, with her teacher, 50-year-old Tad Cummins.
The teen, who was missing for 39 days, is currently in a trauma treatment facility.
She is telling family and friends that she is โin loveโ with her abductor, a married grandfather more than three times her age.
Cummins faces state charges of aggravated kidnapping and sexual contact with a minor, as well as a federal charge of taking a minor across state lines to have sex.
He is also facing a child trafficking charge for grooming and kidnapping Elizabeth. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation believes Cummins โmay have been abusing his role as a teacher to groom this vulnerable young girl for some time in an effort to lure and potentially sexually exploit her.โ
Cummins has two children with his wife, who has filed for divorce.
Elizabethโs mother, Kimberly Thomas, is also facing charges of child abuse and child neglect to five of her 10 children โ Elizabeth included.
The allegations against her include that she beat her children, threw them downstairs and locked them in a basement, reports The Tennessean.

Vianna and her current husband (by Deb Muir Photography)
Vianna was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2006. While devastated, it was the news the mum-of-three needed to end her marriage and create a new life for herself.
To say I was nervous heading to my date with JJ would be an understatement. But I found myself enjoying this tall, gentlemanly guyโs company, and our conversationโฆ Until it turned to Jacqueline du Pre, the world famous cellist.
Over our dinner, JJ proceeded to tell me how sheโd died from Multiple Sclerosis at just 42. I felt instant panic. How would I tell him that I had MS myself?
Iโd been diagnosed with MS in 2006, when I was 33. Initially, I brushed off the pins and needles as nothing, as just exhaustion from being a midwife on permanent night duty, with three kids. Feeling like a zombie was my normal. But the tingling didnโt go away, so I headed to the doctor.
When I was told I had MS, I felt a mixture of emotions. I was actually relieved to have a diagnosis but devastated and angry I had this unwanted disease. I only had a very basic understanding of MS, but I knew that it was unpredictable. I cried, uncertain what the future would hold. Why me? I screamed silently.
As soon as I left the doctorโs office, I rang my mum. She couldnโt believe it; we were both shocked. I think we envisioned the worst: wheelchairs and a life cut short. It seemed all doom and gloom. I wondered, could I still be a good mother?
Iโm a big believer in being upfront with your children, so I sat them down and explained. Their understanding and resilience to this day still amazes me.
Even before I told him, my then-husband was unsupportive and a compulsive gambler. Our marriage was stressful and turbulent. Like many women before me, I thought if I loved and supported him enough we could fix it. But once I had my diagnosis I realised that I needed all my strength to fix myself. For my own health and for my children, I knew it was time to end the marriage.
Being a shift-working single mother with MS was a challenge, to say the least, but I had to stay strong for my kids. And as it turned out, the load was lightened when the stress of a difficult marriage was gone โ I like to say that getting divorced was the most beneficial lifestyle change I made!
When my sister, Rochelle, started badgering me to start dating again, I wasnโt sure. I was on the wrong side of 35, I had 3 children and I had MS. Would I find someone who was willing to take on all that baggage? Then they introduced me to JJ.
After the Jacqueline du Pre conversation, I knew I had to tell him about my MS, and I did on our very next date. Like most people, he couldnโt believe I had MS. My MS symptoms were mostly hidden. He was understanding and accepting.
Now JJ and I have had a son, whoโs three. When you love someone, the right someone, you are willing to risk your health to have a baby โ I knew Iโd have an increased risk of a postpartum relapse after giving birth, and sadly I did. It was a cruel blow but our love for each other and our little boy saw us through.

These days, my MS is stable โ in the MS world it means a lot. My life looks different now. The good side? I have so much love and support. My family is so much closer. But yes, there is some permanent damage; I used to love working out, now Iโm lucky if I can walk a kilometre. My right leg fatigues very quickly and I end up having to drag it along.
I used to have greater control over bodily functions, even after three children; MS has reduced that. Worst of all, I loved to feel the softness of my childrenโs faces, and now MS has taken that away. And I canโt chase after my energetic 3-year-old, which scares me. So I do grieve the loss of my pre-MS body, but I donโt dwell on it. There are children to be raised, a husband to share my life with and a career to continue. I prefer to give my love and energy to those things.

One of the infamous โPeru 2โ drug mules who was caught trying to smuggle cocaine from Peru into Spain, has now been released from jail and signed to a talent agency.
Michaella McCollum was 20 when she attempted to take $2.5m worth of drugs, alongside another young British girl, Melissa Reid, from South America to Europe.
She served just two years of her six year sentence and has now returned home to Ireland with hopes of becoming a star.
The now 24-year-old signed with BLVK Management, an agency which also represents UK reality TV celebrities, such as Geordie Shoreโs Gaz Beadle and Scotty T.
Reportedly, the agency has been inundated with offers since signing Michaella on.
Agent Adam Gregory told The Sun, โWe deal with comments, press queries and weโre also looking into future TV shows for Michaellaโ
โSheโs currently filming a documentary around the UK. It doesnโt have a name yet.โ
โThere seems to be a lot of interest in Michaella. Thereโs been a lot of interview and TV requests.โ

Watching the documentary I am Heath Ledger for the first time was an โincredibly catharticโ experience, says Kate Ledger, the sister of the late Academy Award-winning actor.
Speaking to The Project last night, Kate opened up about her heartbreak seeing Heathโs life and legacy depicted on film, nine years after his death.
โI think I screamed and cried through the whole first viewing,โ she said. โItโs quite a cathartic experience, I think, especially for our family.โ
Kate explained it was the first time watching a lot of the vision of her brother, who was a notoriously private person.
โNone of the footage thatโs shown in the film actually came from the family. In fact, I didnโt know it was in there until I saw it myself,โ she said.
โWeโre very happy with the way it turned out.โ
28-year-old Heath died from a mix of prescription drugs and sleeping pills in 2008, leaving behind a daughter Matilda, now 11.
The Perth-born talent was known for his rolesin10 Things I Hate About You, Brokeback Mountain andThe Dark Knight. While Kate still finds it difficult to watch his films, her daughtersโ adore them.
โI now have 13-year-old girls who are wanting to see the films. So, through them Iโm finding that itโs become a little easier for me to see the joy that it gives them,โ she said.
I Am Health Ledger also includes rare footage of the Dark Knight Star as a child, dressed in a Batman costume.
โThey were my leotards, by the way,โ Kate joked on The Project. โIt was kind of a surreal experience, I suppose, for him then to go on and be in a Batman movie.โ
Another surprising revelation was her brotherโs talent as a chess player.
โNo-one could beat him from the age of about 10. So, my dad taught him, and then, I think, he regretted teaching him,โ Kate recounted.
โHe was only a few points off becoming, like, a grand master. It was a true passion of his.โ

There has been an update in the trial of an Australian man who is accused of breaking into Miranda Kerrโs Malibu home and slashing a security guardโs face with a knife on October 14, 2016.
News Limited reports that Shaun Anthony Haywood, 29, a former professional boxer from the NSW Central Coast, has pleaded not guilty in an LA court, however did not appear when his case was called.
Judge Alan Schneider told the court that Haywood, ruled mentally incompetent at an earlier hearing, was still not ready for proceedings to continue.
He adjourned the case to September 14 for a status report.

Hats off to newly elected President of France Emmanuel Macron, who has already expressed his feminist resolve in a candid interview about his relationship with his wife.
The 39-year-old former Rothschild investment banker is married to his high school teacher Brigitte Trogneux, who has garnered global headlines for being 24 years his senior.
โIf I had been 20 years older than my wife, nobody would have thought for a single second that I couldnโt be [an intimate partner],โ he told Le Parisien. โItโs because she is 20 years older than me that lots of people say, โthis relationship canโt be tenable, it canโt be possible.โ
He puts the response to his marriage down to rampant misogyny and homophobia, amid gossip that he is actually gay and the marriage is a sham.
He told Le Parisien that people had โlost their sense of realityโ and revealed โa big problem with homosexuality.โ
Furthermore, โthere is a big problem with the presentation of society and how they see a woman,โ he added.

She was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for bankruptcy fraud and bringing $120,000 worth of Australian currency into the US without reporting it, but before she does her time, Dance Moms star Abbey Lee Miller has spoken on Good Morning America.
The reality TV star told the show she โwasnโt ever trying to hurt anyoneโ in response to claims she was attempting to hide cash from her creditors, Fox News reports.
She then revealed how she plans to spend her time in prison.
โIโm just going to pretend that I am shooting a movie, and weโre on set, and I am there for 10 months, and thatโs the way itโs gonna be,โ she said.
โA year and a day; it sounds like a movie title.โ
Miller also revealed plans to learn Spanish while in prison and hone her businesswoman skills.
The clincher: โI am already working on a new book.โ

Orlando Bloom is notoriously protective of his six-year-old son Flynn on social media โ truth be told, youโre more likely to find selfies of him with his pet pup, Mighty, than his son on Instagram.
But this week, the actor has shared a rare selfie with his son (and quite possibly, his puppy as well), along with a heartfelt note.
โMighty Monday the morning mash upโฆ these moments at 6am before the storm of #Mondays,โ he writes. โWhen I was a boy I dreamed of creating a kingdom to share and balance love with life career and everything in between something I didnโt fully comprehend till my son opened my heart.โ
Bloom co-parents Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
For sheer cuteness factor alone, hereโs a proper look at his puppy:

Police are now investigating 22-year-old Australian Cassie Sainsburyโs claims she was set up by a mystery man named Angelo, following their seizure of CCTV footage showing her meeting a man in the lobby of her hotel room, 7 News reports.
The fitness trainer and volunteer firefighter is facing 25 years in a Colombian prison after being caught with 5.8kg of cocaine in her suitcase seconds before boarding her flight home to Australia.
Since her arrest, Sainsbury has maintained that she was set up by a man she had only just met. She says he gave her the 18 plastic-wrapped packages containing the cocaine, which she was led to believe were headphones.
The owner of the hotel where Cassie was staying in Colombia, Ingrid Hernandez, confirmed to AAP that police obtained the CCTV footage from the premiseโs archives.
Sainsbury is currently sharing a cell with around 250 other women in one of the most notorious prisons in Colombia.

Why wear black mascara when you can wear blue? Or for that matter, hot pink? Or lime green? Or even โ wait for it โ orange?
Having never, ever seen anyone wear any other mascara colour than black, I didnโt quite believe brightly coloured mascara was an actual thing that existed, let alone that people bought willingly and wore.
Instagram is mad for high-voltage eye make-up right now, from swipes of gold-flecked orange (see Selena Gomez and Jessica Alba) to vivid washes of lime green, gaudy purple and every colour in between.
But the trend isnโt limited to eyeshadow โ the extra-adventurous can have a flutter with neon mascara too.
As someone with a sense of adventure that doesnโt stray much further than the occasional bold lip, this was never going to be my jam. I like my mascara jet black and glossy, not glare-inducing โ and definitely not fluoro.
But the epitome of chic, By Terry founder Terry de Gunzberg, disagrees. โBlue mascara is a great way to subtly update your look with a flash of colour,โ she says. โIt makes your eyes look brighter and less tired, and is easier to wear than blue eyeshadow.โ
Here goes:
The things I do for work.
Iโm wearing the M.A.C In Extreme Dimension Mascara, $42, which comes in 16 zany shades. I tried Sky Is The Limit and Abs of Steel (both at once, which in hindsight probably wasnโt the best idea).
When I eventually emerged from the office bathrooms, of course people stared. But everyone I spoke to was impressed by the formulaโs lash-lengthening and thickening powers.
This may be my first and last time wearing coloured mascara (for obvious reasons; see above), but Iโm definitely buying this baby in black.

Russian mother Nadezhda Osyak has given birth to so many children that she received a special honour from the Russian President himself, Vladimir Putin.
As the mother of 18 childrenโ10 sons and eight daughtersโNadezhda was awarded the prestigious Order of Parental Glory. Her husband, Orthodox priest Ioanna Osyak, also received the award for bearing such a large number of children and for being โmorally upstandingโ.
Speaking to journalist Marcel Theroux on SBSโs Dateline, Nadezhda explained that she first fell pregnant at age 18.
โAs soon as I graduated from school I started working at a bread factory,โ she said. โThem we got married and hard out first baby and I went on maternity leave. And that lasted for 28 years without a single interruption.โ
The large family live in an elaborate, multi-story house in Rostov-on-Don, a port city close to the Ukraine border.
The coupleโs eight daughters go by the names Olga, Elena, Maria, Tatyana, Anna, Nadezhda, Evdokia, Daria, Ksenia and Anastasia, while the boys are called Ivan, Alexey, Evgeniy, Alexander, Vladimir, Grigoriy, Sergey and Serafim, as noted in The Telegraph.
The childrenโs ages range from seven to 33, and Nadezhda now has 25 grandchildren.
In the eyes of husband Ioanna, a womanโs ultimate duty in life is to bear offspring.
โA woman herself is a creation of God and when sheโs pregnant she fulfils the highest human mission,โ he said. โShe gives new life.โ
Journalist Theroux suggests the familyโs ginormous size reflects the growing influence of the Orthodox Church in Russia. The church was persecuted by Russiaโs communist rulers in the past 100 years, but President Putin has attempted to improve relations since he came to power.
It seems orthodox religion and conservatism are on the rise in Russiaโand youโll find 18 fine examples of it under Nadezhdaโs roof.

New mum, Remi Peers, had no idea what was wrong with her when she was in excruciating pain, shivering and eventually rushed to hospital.
The 24-year-old had developed sepsis due to not recognising the more subtle signs of mastitis and is now making it her mission to ensure other mothers are educated about what to look out for and how to prevent it altogether.
In a heartfelt post, Remi wrote that after reaching one year of breastfeeding she felt compelled to share her story.
โBreastfeeding did NOT come easy for me,โ she began. โMy milk came in after 5 days. I wasnโt aware that it could take that long, I didnโt even necessarily know what โmilk coming inโ meant.โ
โI was the only mother breastfeeding on my ward. One woman did try to breastfeed, but switched to formula after 12 hours because she โhad no milkโ (nobody taught her either),โ she said in the Instagram post.
โWhile the other babies slept with full bellies, my son screamed and cried attached to my breast through the night. (What was cluster feeding? Nobody told me)โ
Remi says she persisted with breastfeeding despite having her nipples โliterally cracked in halfโ, eventually developing mastitis, an inflammation of the breast tissue which is often caused by a blocked milk duct.
โI remember waking up at 3 am shivering, putting on my dressing gown and extra blankets and trying to feed my son. The pain. It was excruciating. I was shaking and sweating but freezing to my bones,โ she said.
โI wasโฆ given morphine, anti sickness and the strongest antibiotics they could give, and separated from my baby for two nights. I was heartbroken.โ
โThereโs a lot more to this story but my point is, the lack of support and education surrounding breastfeeding is just terrible,โ she said.
โI see many professionals push breast is best almost aggressively in some cases, and yet there is no real support post baby. Breastfeeding is HARD, it needs to be taught and it needs to be learned. Just like walking, talking, reading and writing โ it may be natural, but it does not always come naturally.โ
She also shared a photo of her breastfeeding in public at the time of her hospitalisation, writing, โBecause our society makes women feel awkward and ashamed to feed their baby in public. Because so many people have asked me when it was time for his next bottle and I have to uncomfortably explain that he is breastfed. And because Iโm in hospital today recovering from sepsis and mastitis, separated from my baby.โ
โNo one should feel like they have to hide when theyโre trying to do what they feel is best for their baby,โ she finished.

The crop top instantly sold out online โ and whatโs more, the antipodean brand had only launched a few weeks prior.

After putting up an incredible fight for seven years, breast cancer patient Connie Johnson says she is โterrifiedโ to finally come to terms with her death.
The sister of Gold-Logie winning actor Samuel Johnson decided to stop treatment entirely after cancer spread to her liver and her quality of life rapidly deteriorated.
The mother of Willoughby, 10 and Hamilton, nine, shared her heartbreaking story in an interview with Carrie Bickmore on The Project last night.
โMy life was so unpleasant. I spent a lot of the time that I was awake crying and holed up in my room, not even able to come out and see the kids because I donโt want them seeing me like this,โ she said.
Johnson called a meeting with her medical team and psychologists, expecting them to outline the next line of treatment options.
โBut what actually happened in that meeting was that they told me I couldnโt continue on the chemo because my organs are all struggling too much,โ she explained, choking back tears.
Once the chemotherapy stops, her cancer will progress further, eventually leading to liver failure. Asked if she was scared of dying, Connie replied with tears: โterrifiedโ.
โItโs very different for me than it is for my loved ones. We will all die and we will all face that and it is terrifying for everybody,โ she said.
โI have this thought that comes into my head all the time where one day Iโll be holding the childrenโs hands and then Iโll be gone.
โMy pain will be over and thereโs will just be beginning.โ
Johnsonโs brother admitted accepting his sisterโs condition was โpretty shitโ.
โYou donโt want it to ever get to that point but sheโs been on various chemos for 11 years of her life,โ he said.
Although Johnson is stopping treatment, she is continuing her crusade to raise funds for cancer research.
Today she helped raise more than $1 million in Canberra through the initiative, the Big Heart Project, where participants contributed five cent pieces to form the shape of a heart.

Mother-of-two Kathy DiVincenzo has made it her mission to break the stigma surrounding postpartum depression and shine a light on the tough realities of motherhood with a confronting Facebook post.
Although the set-up is the same in both photos, they couldnโt be more different: one depicts a frazzled, exhausted Kathy, surrounded by kidsโ toys and trying to change a nappy while her eldest daughter demands her attention.
The second image is the kind weโre more used to finding on Facebook โ smiling mum, perfect children, on-trend outfit, zero mess.
DiVincenzo, who suffers from postpartum depression, anxiety and OCD, published the images and accompanying message to challenge her audience to โpush past the discomfort society has placed on postpartum mental illness.โ
โI feel like itโs time to show you what that can really look like, not just the side of me thatโs โFacebook worthy,โโ she writes.
โThe truth is, both of these pictures represent my life depending on the day. I would only ever comfortably share one of these realities though and thatโs the problem. The only thing more exhausting than having these conditions is pretending daily that I donโt,โ she continues.
At time of writing the post has been shared over 69,000 times and received over 12,000 comments from women who have been in DiVincenzoโs shoes.
DiVincenzo concludes her post by calling on everyone to make themselves aware of the signs and symptoms of postpartum depression.

Last month, Hong Kong designer Ricky Ma created a life-size robot that looks exactly like actress Scarlett Johansson. And we mean, exactly.
Spot the difference. Robot ScarJo is on the left and real ScarJo is on the right. (Credit: Reuters/Bobby Yip and Getty)
The female bot took a year-and-a-half to make with a 3D printer and cost more than $50,000, according to Reuters. The result? Robo ScarJo can make simple arm, leg and facial movements, wink and bow.
When you compliment it (her?) by saying โyou are so beautiful,โ the robotโs mouth rises to a slight smile and her eyebrows relax as though sheโs embarrassed by the compliment.
The incredibly realistic robot can wink and smile. (Credit: Reuters/Bobby Yip)
Do you feel uncomfortable yet? The scary reality of Maโs creation is that itโs only the beginning.
If a Chinese designer can make a life-like replica of a Hollywood actress, whoโs to say your ex-boyfriend canโt make one of you. Worse yet, whoโs to say what heโll do with it. *Shudders*
The sex tech industry is estimated to be worth $30 billion and you can already buy a life-like doll from California for around $8600, choosing from 18 different female body types โ and two male.
This year, the same Californian company revealed a sex doll prototype called Harmony that can hold a conversation about music, movies and books, crack jokes and remember your birthday, favourtie food and the names of your siblings. Thatโs not to mention Harmonyโs main purpose: she will have sex with you whenever you want.
Of course there are also male sex dolls (albeit less advanced), but Law professor Margot Kaminski believes thereโs a gendered component to the robotic future. โSiriโs a woman, Cortanaโs a woman; if a robot exists to perform labour or personal assistances, thereโs a darn good chance theyโll be a womanโ she said to Wired.
As robotic technology advances, women may be objectified in a brand new way.

A NSW woman has been charged for almost starving her baby to death after police allegedly found a four-month-old boy severely emaciated in a home near Albury.
Officers were called to a house in Lavington at about 11.45pm on March 4 in response to a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, they found a baby boy who was allegedly severely malnourished and suffering from neglect.
Police were so concerned about the baby boyโs well-being that they immediately called an ambulance to the scene, and the child was admitted to Albury Base Hospital for treatment.
The 22-year-old mother was arrested on May 9 by detectives attached to the State Crime Commandโs Child Abuse Squad (CAS) and taken to Albury Police Station.
She has been charged with failing to provide for a child causing danger of death.
The Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) have arranged care for the womanโs other childrenโa 17-month-old boy and seven-year-oldโwho were also at the house at the time.
The woman has been granted conditional bail and will appear in Albury Local Court on May, 15.

An 11-year-old girl has died on a British theme park ride in an accident tragically similar to last yearโs Dreamworld disaster.
The girl reportedly stood up while riding the Splash Canyon ride and toppled overboard into a metre and a half deep water.
The Australian reports the girl was on a school trip with friends at the Drayton Manor Park in Tamworth.
The girlโs distraught friends were in tears while emergency service workers attempted to resuscitate her. She was flown to Birmingham Childrenโs Hospital but died shortly after arrival.
The student was in Year 6 at Jameah Girlโs Academy, an independent Islamic school, News.com.au reports. In a statement, the school said they were offering โsupport to pupils and staffโ and asked for โtime to grieveโ.
Drayton Manor company director George Bryan said employees at the park were โtruly shocked and devastated, and our thoughts are with the family and friends at this tremendously difficult timeโ.
Promotion of The Splash Canyon ride at the park says: โSwerve around corners, splash through the waves, and get soaked as your boat is swept along our fast-flowing rapids.
A UK Health and Safety Executive spokesman said it was โmaking initial inquiries along with emergency servicesโ.
Last October, four people were killed on Dreamworldโs Thunder River Rapids ride at the Gold Coast after their raft flipped over and they were trapped in a conveyer belt.

The highly anticipated first trailer for Woodshock, the Rodarte sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavyโs directorial debut, has finally been released โ and itโs every bit as spooky as youโd expect.
Aesthetically, you can easily spot the parallels between Rodarteโs fashion collections and the eerie, ethereal cinematography of the film.
The trailer opens with long-time Rodarte muse Kirsten Dunst wandering misty woods alone. From there, a rapid-fire sequence heightens the mystery โ and suspense โ as it appears Dunstโs character is embroiled in some kind of dark, drug-fuelled tragedy.
Woodshock is being produced by A24, the same studio that made Moonlight, The Bling Ring and Ex Machina. Itโs being released on September 15 and We. Cannot. Wait.

The story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, the 25-year-old who had her boyfriend murder her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, shocked the world.
Especially after it was revealed that Dee Dee had been faking her daughterโs illnesses for her entire life.
Everyone around her believed Gypsy was confined to a wheelchair due to muscular dystrophy and paraplegia, that she had developmental delays and was undergoing treatment for leukaemia.
However, Gypsy had none of those illnesses โ in fact, she could walk perfectly fine on her own.
Dee Dee had forced her daughter to lie all of her life, in the most serious case of Munchhausen by Proxy Syndrome the world has ever heard.
Gypsyโs own father, Rod Blanchard, who separated from her mother before she was born, even believed the lies, saying to the New York Post that Dee Dee rarely let him see his daughter as he โwasnโt equippedโ to handle her care.
With a new documentary, called Mommy Dead and Dearest, due to be released about Gypsyโs life and the crime, her father says he โunderstandsโ why his daughter did what she did.
โYeah, itโs wrong, and there were other options that Gypsy had,โ he said to PEOPLE.
โ[But] she tried some of those avenues and they didnโt work out.

Running with the theme of animal middle names like the coupleโs first child, daughter, Elsie Otter, Zooey and Jacob have named their new baby boy โ wait for it โ Charlie Wolf.
Asked by Ellen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2016 the reason behind Elsieโs middle name โOtterโ, Zooey said it was all because of the animalโs unique traits.
โTheyโre cute, and playful, and fun and theyโre really smart,โ Zooey told Ellen.
โWe thought Elsie is like, kind of a classic name. A lot of people have grandmas and aunts named Elsieโฆand then, we were like, you know, the middle name can be a little bit wild.โ
Since itโs obviously become a running theme, we really want to know what child number threeโs middle name will beโฆ

We only just found out that 13 Reasons Why has officially been confirmed for another season, and already Netflix has released spoilers of whatโs to come โ not that weโre complaining.
In a tweet last night, the following five things were revealed.
1. Weโll see other charactersโ perspectives on Hannahโs story.
This sounds interesting given that pretty much all of season 1 was based on Clayโs perspective.
2. Jessicaโs story will continue as she tries to recover and return to normal life.
At the end of the first season, it looked like Jessica was about to tell her dad about her sexual assault.
3. There will be a narrator, but it wonโt be Hannah โ No more tapes
Weโre guessing Clay? Or Tony.
4. The season will exploreโthe way we raise boys up into men, and the way we treat girls and women in our culture โ and what we could do better in both casesโ
Given the amount of criticism over the first season and the way it showed brutal scenes of rape and suicide, this angle sounds like now producers are aiming to help educate viewers about stopping these acts happening altogether, which is great.
6. Bryce will hopefully get whatโs coming to him

You guys, Instagram brows have officially jumped the shark.
Going way beyond real-life brow inspiration or even Instagram-only, pile-on-the-make-up techniques, brow art is now just so over the top I donโt even get a โwow, that is so creative!โ vibe anymore. And I understand itโs all about those double-taps and likes, and the weirder things are, the more likely they are to garner attention, but itโs time to call bullsh*t on batsh*t crazy brows.
Just like this iPhone blender was my peak weird-foundation-application hack, bread crumb brows are what finally tipped me over the edge.
(Please resist the urge to reach through your screen and brush those crumbs off.)
If youโre after real life brow inspiration, then click here for the โitโ brow shape for 2017, here for tips on how to find the right brow product for you, or here to see some of our favourite celebrity brow shapes.
And because I know this is just my opinion and there are some that might actually enjoy whacky brow art, well, I hope you enjoy the below.

Just a few weeks ago, it was revealed that the average Australian wedding now costs around $90,128 โ a lot more than we wouldโve guessed โ and now wedding planning app Bridebook has estimated the expected costs of Pippaโs big day.
Through breaking down each separate element of the day and using an analysis of 170,000 weddings, the website estimates that the wedding will cost a whopping $435,167 AUD (converted from ยฃ246,949).
Thatโs almost five times more than the average Australian nuptials.
Hereโs the breakdown of what the couple will be spending on what.
Dress โ $17,627 (ยฃ10,000)
Giles Deacon is rumoured to be the designer behind the bespoke dress. The designer made Abbey Clancyโs for ยฃ10,000, so we can expect Pippaโs to cost around the same (if not more).
Veil โ $3,525 (ยฃ2,000)
This is expected to be made by famous milliner Stephen Jones.
Bridesmaid outfits โ $3,966 (ยฃ2,250)
The site says that the average cost of a designer bridesmaid dress is $1,322. The average number of bridesmaids in the UK is three, however, weโre unsure of the exact amount Pippa will have.
Wedding rings โ $35,081 (ยฃ19,900)
The wedding rings are said to be from Cartier. A diamond-encrusted ring for Pippa would be around $27,324 and a platinum band for James about $2,538.
Hair and make-up โ $2,996 (ยฃ1,700)
The expected team is Hannah Martin of Bobbi Brown and Richard Ward (who got Kate ready for her wedding).
Flower girl and page boy outfits โ $2,993 (ยฃ1,698)
Nicki Macfarlane, who provided the flower girls outfits for the royal wedding, will likely be creating Prince George and Princess Charlotteโs custom outfits.
Floristry โ $28,2070 (ยฃ16,000)
Luxury florists Lavender Green are expected to be providing flowers for the day, with Bridebook noting that marquees always require a lot more floristy and decorations than a venue.
Cake โ $4,584 (ยฃ2,600)
Domino Purchas or Rosalind Miller are thought to be behind the cake, both of their six-tier cakes start at this price.
Groomswear โ $10,664 (ยฃ6,050)
James Matthews is expected to wear a bespoke suit from Saville Row.
Venue โ $114,597 (ยฃ65,000)
The wedding is taking place at the Middletonโs family home, but they will still need to provide luxury marquees โ especially in the unpredictable May weather.
Catering โ $123,408(ยฃ70,000)
Bridebook says, โtop luxury London caterers will charge over ยฃ170 ($299) per guest.โ Admirable Crichton are expected to be the caterers for the wedding, with around 15 chefs and 2,000 canapes expected.
Decoration โ $10,578 (ยฃ6,000)
This includes lighting, dance floors and bar hire.
Videography โ $7,053 (ยฃ4,000)
Luxury videographers generally bring a team to capture all angles, plus a drone or two.
Music โ $11,901 (ยฃ6,750)
Including music for the reception, a band and DJ for the party.
Entertainment โ $2,644 (ยฃ1,500)
Childrenโs entertainers (like Kate and William had at their wedding) and a photobooth are expected.
Church fees โ $803 (ยฃ456)
The most important part and also the cheapest.
Stationary โ $9,035 (ยฃ5,125)
Invitations, menus, save-the-dates and the Order of Service.
Wedding favors โ $1,234 (ยฃ700)
Bridebook is expecting something โlow-key and personalโ, such as a jar of honey.
Transport โ Free
Jame will likely be able to borrow a stunning car at no cost.

Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has been sentencedto a year and a day in prison for bankruptcy fraud and bringing $120,000 worth of Australian currency into the US without reporting it.
The reality TV star was sentenced today by a federal judge in Pittsburgh in the US, after pleading guilty to both cases last year. According to reports, the judge also ordered Miller to pay a $US40,000 ($54,000 AUD) fine and spend two years on probation following her release.
Before she was sentenced, Miller read a lengthy statement. โIโm certainly ashamed to be meeting you for the first time in this manner,โ Page Six reports she told the judge. โI wish you could take my class or come to one of my events and see how much I love this.โ
The star went on to say that she ran her business into debt after taking it over from her father, and claimed she intended to pay everyone back. โโI didnโt realise when you apply for bankruptcy itโs like signing up for more homework,โ she said.
Miller also claimed that she wasnโt attempting to deceive anyone, but rather just trying to keep her business running.

Malcolm Turnbullโs first budget is a big-taxing, big-spending budget that contains very little in it specifically for women โ but if we read the fine print, there is some pleasing attention given to domestic violence victims, childcare funding and womenโs mental health.
First โ the pills: the Medicare levy will go up by half a percent to make sure the NDIS is fully funded โ $55.7 billion over the next 10 years.
Since its inception under Julia Gillard, the NDIS has become bipartisan policy, and its stable funding is a boon for women, who overwhelmingly carry the burden of caring for the less-abled at home.
The governmentโs much-anticipated housing affordability measures will be welcome for anyone looking for a place to call their own โ and research shows single women are outpacing men when it comes to buying property.
Smart women will be carefully examining Treasurer Scott Morrisonโs superannuation-funded home deposit measure, where they can use up to $30,000 of voluntary superannuation contributions for a deposit โ but young women who are tempted by this need to remember their superannuation is already (statistically) much lower than menโs โ on average Australian women retire with about half the super men do.
The government will also invest in childcare, to the tune of $37.3 billion in funding over the years until 2021. This will go some way towards helping mothers return to work โ but letโs stretch our memories long enough to recall this is the same government which stopped โdouble dippingโ on maternity leave, massively cutting down the number of months new mothers can spend with their babies.
The homelessness package, part of the housing affordability blockbuster the government hopes will endear it to mortgage and rental-stressed voters โ is good news for women. Women bear the brunt of homelessness, particularly older and separated women, and of course, those forced to flee their homes due to domestic violence.
The measures to claw back university debt will be a double-pronged pinch to women โ both because more women now graduate from university than men (well done us), and because once they get out into the workplace, they earn less over their lifetimes, meaning the price of entry to the professional workforce is effectively higher for us than it is for our male counterparts.
The budget also gave us a big mental health package, which specifically includes provision for women suffering from post-natal depression โ $80 million has been earmarked under the National Disability Insurance Scheme ledger to help people with mental illness, including eating disorders โ which overwhelmingly affect women โ and PND.
The Family Court system has been broken for a long time, and the government seems to have finally acknowledged this, commissioning a review into its workings, as well as $80 million in funding to boost family law and domestic violence services within the family justice system, which includes $3.4 million for additional domestic violence units.
Allegedly violent men who self-represent at court will no longer be able to cross-examine their (alleged) ex-partner victims โ something which has long been a source of immense distress for women caught up in family violence.
Overall, with its funding for the needy, women have fared reasonably well from the 2017 budget.
However, there was nothing to address the gender pay gap or female poverty โ both issues which continue to hold Australian women back from reaching true equality.

Weโre all well aware that internet pop-ups saying weโre the lucky 1000th visitor to the site and therefore have won $1m generally (read: always) arenโt true, and phone calls from our โbankโ asking asking for our account details arenโt going to get far, but this new scam is actually really easy to fall for.
All scammers need is for you to answer their one question before they can hack into your bank accounts and steal your money.
The scam works by someone calling and asking, โCan you hear me?โ
When you respond with โyesโ they immediately hang up but not before recording your voice.
They then use the recording to authorise payments from your bank or to hack into your accounts using voice recognition.
Queensland Police Service is warning that if scammers already have personal details โ such as your phone number and address โ a simple โyesโ is all they need to start stealing your money.
The scam first started in the U.S. and U.K. but has now made its way to Australia, with police warning the public to hang up straight away if they receive a call like the above.
Anyone who has already fallen victim to this scam should call their bank immediately.

The giddy feelings of a new relationship donโt last forever, even for one of Australiaโs hottest (literally) couplesโ Lara and Sam Worthington.
Speaking to Kyle and Jackie O, Lara Worthington admitted the butterflies in her stomach no longer flutter at the sight of her husband of nearly three years.
โLara, do you still get butterflies when you see Sam?โ Sandilands asked her on the KIIS FM show on Tuesday.
โItโs not butterflies, itโs just a differentโฆโ Worthington replied, trailing off.
The model agreed with Jackie O that she only felt butterflies in the first year of the relationship. โAnd then that passes,โ she said.
In the lengthy interview, Worthington also revealed she first met the Avatar star at Central Park (yes, that sounds like the start of a Woody Allen rom-com).
โWe were both at a festival in Central Park in New York. I was there for a Cotton On event, and he was there with a few of his friendsโฆhe was with Butler. Whatโs his first name? Gerard Butler.โ
According to Worthington, the pair clicked right away.
โI remember I had a house here in Sydney in the Eastern Suburbs, and my mum was over helping me cleanโฆ I said โMum, Iโm going to get marriedโ and she said โWhat? Youโve just met the guy,โ she joked.
The mother-of-two also explained how she and the actor settled on the names of their children, Racer and Rocket Zot, reports News Corp.
โI donโt know, I just love Racer, I just thought it was a really cool name and Sam liked it too,โ she said. โThere was loads of names. I loved the name Jet but I couldnโt really have a Rocket and a Jet.โ
She continued: โWe didnโt know it was going to be a boy. Well the first time we didnโt (find out) and the second timeโฆ thereโs not many surprises so I thought letโs just keep it a secret.
โTheyโre both happy and healthy babies โ theyโre really good boys.โ
Racer is now six-months-old, while Rocket Zot was born in March, 2015.
Since touching down in Sydney on Thursday, the modelโs busy schedule has included a visit to the factory where her bronzing and tanning line The Base is produced.
Worthington shared a snap on Instagram showing her testing products and swapping high fashion for a high-vis vest and hairnet.

Everyone knows the power of a (literally) brilliant highlight โ nothing else makes cheekbones pop, lips appear fuller or make-up more radiant.
But not all highlighting liquids, creams, powders or gels are created equal. Case in point: Make Up Foreverโs Star Lit liquid highlighter, which has sold out in Sephora stores across the globe.

Queensland 12-year-old Jasmyn Campbell is known to family and friends for her fighting spirit and her love of Muay Thai boxing.
But Jasmynโs fighting spirit was put to the test on Easter Monday when she was rushed to Cairns Hospital after undergoing heart failure. According to her mother, Melody Ward, Jasmyn was also severely anaemic and her kidneys were functioning at just two per cent
Diagnosed with childhood nephritis, Jasmyn now requires a kidney transplant, reports the Cairns Post.
Melody has pledged to make the brave organ donation, although testing to see if her kidney is a match could take months.
โItโs heartbreaking to see my little girl going through so much and I wish it was me and not her,โ she told the Cairns Post.
Adding to the heartbreak, Melody realised Jasmyn was scared the kidney transplant might harm her own mother.
โI explained that sheโs going to need a transplant and that I want to give her one of my kidneys โฆ and I left out the important part, that I would be OK if I gave her a kidney,โ Melody said.
โI went to Google something on her phone and in her history it came up โwill my mum die if she gives me a kidneyโ.โ
The Cairns Post reports Jasmyn has received blood transfusions, haemodialysis treatment and three surgeries since her diagnosis.
Jasmynโs GoFundMe crowdfunding page
Melody shared an update about Jasmynโs condition on her Facebook page, saying her daughter requires dialysis treatment for 11hours every night until she gets a kidney transplant.
โ(W)e have been through hell, our world has been turned upside down but we are strong and we are fighters and we will get through this,โ she wrote.
โI wanted to say a big massive thank you to everyone for the love and support, Iโm ever so grateful for each and every one of you.โ
Yesterday, the Federal Government pledged to invest $4.1 million from the 2017 Budget towards a program to support living organ donors. ABC Newsreports the program, which began in 2013, gives donors nine weeks of paid leave and money for living expenses.

When Brodie Donegan was hit by a van, the impact killed her unborn daughter. Four years on, lawmakers are divided. Was Zoe one of her motherโs injuries or was she a person in her own right?
Entombed in a prickly tangle of branches and leaves, Brodie Donegan could hear someone screaming, a anguished shriek that, at first, she didnโt realise, was coming from her. โDonโt move her. Donโt touch her,โ other voices commanded, as searing pain invaded the young motherโs body. Whatโs happened to my right leg? she wondered, as she recovered consciousness. Is it still attached to my body?
The face of Brodieโs husband, Nick, came into view as he bent over her bloodied face. A hand pushed her shoulder. โIโm sorry. Iโm really sorry,โ said an unknown voice. Then more words cut through the chaos: โGo away. Donโt touch her. Leave her alone.โ
Brodie hadnโt fainted, as she first thought. She was under the front of a car. Two older women, both nurses who lived up the road, sat next to her. One, or both, held her hand.
โWhat about my baby? Is my baby ok?โ Brodie, then 29, asked the women. โThey said, โAshleeโs fine. Sheโs in the neighbourโs house.โ I said, โNo, Iโm pregnant. Is my baby ok?โ They said, โHold my hand, just look at me.โโ
Brodieโs baby, perhaps eight weeks shy of entering the world, was not ok.
On Christmas Day, 2009, hours after a mini-van driven by a prescription drug-affected woman slammed into her mum, Zoe Donegan was delivered by Caesarian section. She was stillborn.
Sitting in the cafรฉ in Hornsby where she recounts the terrible story, the memory overwhelms her and she weeps.
The woman driving the car that killed Zoe was charged with grievous bodily harm, but only for the injury she inflicted on Brodie. Under current NSW law, destroying an unborn child intentionally or recklessly is recognised as a crime against the mother only. The same applies in Victoria, only the charge is โserious injury.โ โItโs hard to come to grips with, to be told that someone who caused the death of your baby is not being charged with the death of your baby,โ she says.
Now, after a vigorous campaign by Brodie, new legislation called The Crimes Amendment (Zoeโs Law) Bill, is being debated in the Upper House of the New South Wales Parliament. The bill seeks to have any foetus more than 20 weeks old, or weighing at least 400 grams, recognised as a living person under the NSW Crimes Act. Should the bill pass โ a conscience vote in the lower house saw the bill carried 63 votes to 26 โ an offender could be charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a foetus, separate to the mother.
Debate surrounding the bill, introduced in September by Brodieโs local MP, Central Coast Liberal Chris Spence, has been heated and, at times highly emotional. Opponents โ including health and legal groups, feminist academics and MPs from across the political spectrum โ say that despite specific exemptions for medical procedures, or anything โdone by or with the consent of the pregnant womanโ, changing the legal status of a foetus by giving it โlegal personhoodโ is bound to threaten womenโs access to abortion.
After all, if a foetus has the legal rights of a person, then who, other than the foetus, has the right to decide to terminate that?
The last thing Brodie remembered on that Christmas morning, 2009, as she headed home after a short walk, was the sound of a car behind her, and stepping up onto the grass, away from the kerb.
What happened next on the quiet, residential road in Ourimbah, on the New South Wales Central Coast, was unimaginable.
Brodie, who was 32 weeks pregnant, had wanted to stretch her legs before setting off with Nick, and their two and a half year old daughter, Ashlee, for Christmas lunch at her uncleโs house in Newcastle, an hourโs drive away. Ashlee had wanted to go with her, but was persuaded to stay behind with her Dad. Her mum would only be gone ten minutes.
Brodie, who was only a few metres away from her driveway, doesnโt remember the impact; or hearing the mini-van hit a tree before it reached her; doesnโt remember going through the windscreen, nor being thrown back over the bonnet when the driver, who was later found to be affected by prescription drugs, ploughed into a second tree. It was only then that the mini-van came to a halt.
Her next memory, aside from those brief, confused recollections after she first opened her eyes, was of being airlifted to Sydneyโs Royal North Shore Hospital by helicopter and begging medics โto take Zoe outโ as soon as they found a heart beat. But it wasnโt that easy, as the devastated young mother soon learned. First she had to be stabilised, and her many injuries assessed. Over the next five days, she would have three operations: at one stage, a 10 centimetre screw was put through her hip into her spine.
Her only thoughts, though, were of the tiny life inside her that hadnโt stood a chance. โThe impact of the car had caused the placenta to abrupt and Zoe had just slowlyโฆdied. She didnโt have any marks on her. I got to hold her and she was still warm. She looked absolutely perfect. Her eyes were open a little bit and she had a sore on her lip from the resuscitation โ because they tried really hard to resuscitate her.โ
Ashlee also got to see and hold Zoe on that devastating Christmas night. The little girl is now six, and has a brother, Lachlan, who recently turned three. Whenever Ashlee talks about sick babies, she says they have a sore on their lips, and she believed for a very long time that it was the sore that killed Zoe.
On December 27, 2009, two days after the tragedy in Ourimbah, Hannah Robert was driving along a Melbourne road with her partner and her partnerโs two daughters, aged 14 and 15, after a picnic with family friends.
Suddenly, a 4WD coming from the opposite direction was sideswiped by a sedan whose driver, witnesses said later, had โaggressivelyโ and โviolentlyโ changed lanes. Both cars were now on Hannahโs side of the road and she barely had time to shout, โWhatโs he doing?โ when her car and the 4WD collided head on.
โThe 4WD wound up next to us, or close to us. I could see some liquid pouring out of that car and I was terrified that it was petrol,โ she says.
Unable to open her door, she told her partner and the girls to quickly get out of the car. But her partner couldnโt move, thanks to three fractured ribs and a broken hand and in any case, she was screaming and asking: โCan you feel Haloumi?โ This was the nickname for their unborn daughter, Zainab.
Hannah was 33 years old, and 34 weeks pregnant. Zainab, conceived after nine months of fertility treatments and several years of searching for a sperm donor, had been hiccupping and kicking in her stomach at the picnic only a few hours before.
It took a long time to get Hannah out of the wreckage. The last of the four to be rescued, sheโd held her partnerโs hand while they were still in the car, telling her that everything would be alright.
โI knew placenta abruption was a risk, but I had it in my head that if this happened, Iโd have a huge amount of bleeding. I thought, โI canโt feel any bleeding so the baby must be alright.โ The ambulance driver thought he could hear a heartbeat,โ she adds. โBut by the time we got to Emergency, they couldnโt find a heartbeat.โ
She knew then that Zainab had died.
Hannah had a fractured sternum, liver and spleen lacerations, internal bleeding, a big chunk out of her kneecap, and two broken front teeth. Her partner and the girls had been taken to two other hospitals and she found the separation from them unbearable. Someone dug her phone out of her bag and she rang her partner to tell her their daughter was dead.
She saw Zainab for the first time when she woke up after the Caesarian. The midwife showed Hannah a photo.
โIt was probably a good way to meet her, first by a photo, because itโs a very strange thing. You gear up for meeting the baby alive. I hadnโt even considered the prospect that the first time Iโd see my baby she might have died,โ she says.
Hannahโs partner discharged herself from hospital, and left wearing a medical gown over a pair of tracksuit pants that her brother, who drove her across town, had found in his car.
โShe walked in and I said, โCome and meet your daughter.โ So she was there when we washed Zainab. It was bizarre because we didnโt put a nappy on her.โ
Hannahโs voice falters. โShe didnโt need a nappy. Butโฆ babies look different when they donโt have a nappyโฆโ
In November, a powerful essay on the proposed changes to the NSW Crimes Act appeared on The Conversation website, called โWhy losing my daughter means I donโt support Zoeโs law.โ
Itโs author: La Trobe University law lecturer โ and Zainabโs mother โ Hannah Robert.
Hannah emailed Brodie a month before the essay appeared, to let her know what she was going to say before going public. The message followed a much earlier exchange of emails in 2010.
Hannah has huge sympathy for the woman whose campaign for a change in the law has resulted in the current controversy. She agrees with Brodie that the law as it stands is inadequate โ and that calling the loss of their daughters an โinjuryโ fails to acknowledge the depth of sorrow involved in the loss of Zoe and Zainab.
But she questions the idea of separate legal rights for the foetus.
โI have no doubt that my daughter was a person โ but I am comfortable with the idea that, at the time she died, she was protected by my legal personhood rather than her own,โ she wrote in her essay.
In her office at La Trobe, Hannah continues: โIf you define the foetus as a legal person, it opens the way for equality claims or challenges to the legislation to say, โHow is it that you can have a foetus defined as a legal person in this circumstance, but not in this circumstance?โ
Hannah believes the bill may be โopening the way for what weโre now seeing overseas.โ
She mentions a case in Florida, in 1991, when a woman who told doctors sheโd taken cocaine before giving birth, was convicted of supplying drugs to a minor. Under Florida law, a foetus only becomes a legal person after birth. So the prosecutors argued that the supplying of drugs occurred during the 30 to 90 seconds between the emergence of her baby from the birth canal and the severing of the umbilical cord.
The womanโs convictions were overturned on a second appeal, but says Hannah, the case clearly shows that you donโt need foetal rights to fit in with a pattern thatโs gathering pace in the US of criminalising pregnant womenโs behavior.
โThereโs nothing punitive towards the mother in the current drafting of Zoeโs Law,โ she adds. โBut youโre setting up those exceptions for any actions of the mothers to be challenged.โ
Supporters of the bill say fears of its impact on abortion law are simply an overreaction by a feminist coalition.
But male medical heavyweights have also waded into the debate. Brian Owler, the Australian Medical Associationโs New South Wales President, told ABC radio that while Zoeโs Law was well intentioned, it could have unintended consequences for obstetricians or geneticists. The law could jeopardise access to mothers, he said, particularly when late-term abortions take place for very good medical reasons. Some extreme abnormalities, he pointed out, donโt show up until late in a pregnancy.
New South Wales and Queensland remain the two states where abortion is still a criminal offence, although Tasmania removed abortion from the stateโs criminal code only in November.
The very precariousness of Abortion Law is why declaring a foetus to be a living person is so dangerous, says Sydney lawyer Julie Hamblin, an expert in health law and sexual and reproductive rights. โPeople say to me, โWell, if Zoeโs Law does go through in the upper house, what are going to be the implications tomorrow?โ The reality is, tomorrow โ probably nothing. Itโs going to be when the next case comes to court challenging the lawfulness of abortion.โ
If Zoeโs Law itself wasnโt worrying enough for its pro-choice critics, one name attached to the debate was almost guaranteed to ring alarm bells: The Rev Fred Nile. A member of the Legislative Council for the Christian Democratic Party, and well known for his anti-abortion views, Nile took it upon himself to introduce his own version of Zoeโs Law earlier in 2013. According to him, his bill sought only a just legal response to โthe destruction of a child in utero, other than in the course of a medical procedure or with the consent of the mother.โ But it came as part of a package of private member bills that he presented at the start of 2013 that would have made access to abortion in New South Wales much harder.
Zoeโs Law โ his fifth bill โ wanted to give legal rights to a foetus from conception.
Brodie Donegan has made it very clear that sheโs pro-choice and against anything that would make it harder for women to seek abortions. She stresses she has no connection to โ or contact with โ with Fred Nile.
โI am completely for whatever path a pregnancy takes, that person is supported,โ she says. โIf they need or want to have an abortion, they have that. If they need a medical intervention, they have that.โ
Lawyer Julie Hamblin says she takes little comfort from the exemptions in Zoeโs Law that say it doesnโt apply to medical procedures. โThereโs no way that Zoeโs Law is going to conclusively determine that abortions will be found unlawful in the future. Itโs just another weapon for the pro-life people to be able to use if they want to bring a test case to challenge the lawfulness of abortion.โ
Certainly, Right To Life Australia President, Margaret Tighe, indicates that this may happen.
โThe child in the motherโs womb is considered to be a nobody,โ she says. โThe pro-abortion lobby are scared that this is going to be the foot in the door for recognition of the rights of the unborn. Even the mother who lost Zoe in this terrible accident says sheโs in favour of abortion.
โOf course Iโm for Zoeโs law because it acknowledges that an unborn child is another human being.โ
Many argue that thereโs no need for Zoeโs Law since the 2005 Crimes Amendment (Grievous Bodily Harm) Act already extended the definition of grievous bodily harm to include the destruction of an unborn child (other than in a medical procedure), whether or not the mother suffers any other harm, with a maximum penalty of 25 years prison.
The woman driving the car that killed Zoe Donegan spent nine months in prison, followed by an 18-month parole period. Brodie wept in court, feeling the sentence was her fault. โBut to have a jail sentence made me feel like it was at least taken a little bit more seriously,โ she says.
So do we really need a law that recognises separate legal rights for a foetus, given that the driver was incarcerated?
Brodieโs reply is sad, and moving. She says she would like to have heard the driver charged with Zoeโs death. โIf the judge could have read out the charge and acknowledged that Zoe had existed and died, that would have made a difference for me, and for Nick. All I wanted was to have an acknowledgement that we had lost Zoe, and that this wasnโt just a crime against me.โ
As she speaks, her hand goes to a tiny indentation in the silver pendant hanging around her neck. Zoeโs fingerprint.

A woman is sueing American Airlines $13.5m AUD for forcing her to check in her luggage on a flight and then losing it, along with her daughterโs ashes.
Iddy Pierre-Canel was flying back to Tucson, Arizona, from Baltimore, Maryland, after her daughterโs funeral and cremation on March 5,NBCโs 12 News reports.
According to Ms Pierre-Canelโs lawyer, Lorraine Morey, American Airlines insisted twice that Ms Pierre-Canel check in her bag while waiting at the gate, even though she made it clear she was carrying her daughterโs ashes.
She then allegedly remembers an employee picking her bags up, but she said she was under the impression they were helping her take the bags to her seat as she was distraught and had been crying.
โWhen the plane took off, thatโs when I realised I didnโt have my bag [and] they said, โOh, they checked your bag in,'โ Ms Pierre-Canel recalled.
Her attorney Lorraine Morey said her client was then promised her bags would be the first off the plane but when she arrived to Tucson, her bag was nowhere to be found.
โI begged American Airlines every day to find the urn,โ she said.
The airline released a statement following the incident, saying, โWhen we need customers to gate check a bag, we always ask for customers to remove all valuables and important documents. Had we known there were cremated ashes in the bag, we would have had her remove them or found a place for the bag. We apologised for losing the items and certainly are very sorry for her terrible loss.โ
A spokesman for American Airlines insists the airline staff were not made aware of the luggageโs contents, saying Ms Pierre-Canel was asked to list the contents of her bag and their value but that the urn was not included.
Ms Morey said the urn was not written down because there was no way to assign a dollar value to her daughterโs remains but said there was an extensive email train showing the main concern was for that urn.
Nineteen days after American Airlines lost the luggage, they found the bag and returned it to Ms Pierre-Canel.
She said: โI went through it. I was screaming. I was hurt. I wanted to die because I felt that I failed my child.โ
โI failed her because my child did not die just once. I lost her twice.โ
She said her daughterโs wish was to have her ashes โspread across the sea in Hawaii, the South of France, off the coast of Venice, Italy and off the coast of Australia.โ

A few years ago, a super smart and successful woman I know bemoaned the response that losing a few kilograms prompted among her friends, colleagues and family.
The โaccomplishmentโ was greeted with a virtual tickertape parade of compliments, public endorsement and universal admiration. It irritated her.
Of all the noteworthy and tremendous things she had actually accomplished in her life โ giving birth, building a career, raising children, sustaining a marriage โ why did the benign achievement of shedding a few kilos overshadow it?
The answer lies in the fact that for women our value is still heavily weighted towards our weight. And not towards a realistic weight, but towards an unrealistic hypothetical weight: the less you weigh, the better.
Which is how Lena Dunham, the uber talented writer and actor, found herself on a magazine cover being celebrated for her weight-loss. Alongside a picture of a slender Dunham, the magazines coverline claimed to reveal 20 of the actorโs โsecret slim down tips.โ
The unauthorised story infuriated Dunham who has spent her career directly challenging the notion that being successful and thin need to be synonymous.
She has done this by baring her beautiful, unenhanced body on television many times over. Not airbrushed. Not starved. Not hairless.
Just a typical body that looks far more like the average woman than the women we are accustomed to seeing in TV and movies. In the cult TV series she wrote and starred in, Girls, Lena straddled the chasm that exists between the women we usually see on the big screen, and the women most of us see in our bathroom mirrors. Bodies which jiggle, skin that is stretched, with curves, lumps and bumps.
Dunham is not a size zero- and the kicker? Itโs not even remotely definitive. In Girls her body is not a central cause for angst, humour or concern. She is just a regular woman with a regular body. That is absolutely intentional so itโs hardly surprising that Dunham was incensed by her depiction as a pin up girl for weight loss.
โI have no tips I give no tips I donโt want to be on this cover cuz itโs diametrically opposed to everything Iโve fought my whole career for and itโs not a compliment to me because itโs not an achievement thanx,โ she wrote on Instagram.
She offered up 20 of her own โtipsโ that include having an anxiety disorder and the resultant nausea that accompanies it.
And behind the sarcasm is something more sinister. Dunham has been seriously unwell in recent weeks with several public admissions to hospital with endometriosis. This hasnโt happened behind closed doors. She has been open about that โ posting updates on social media about her health. Similarly, she has been open about her experience of anxiety.
Just for a moment, consider a world which celebrates a woman for losing weight because she is sick. Surely that has to be the day we stop and contemplate the futility and cruelty of our obsession with thin?
Fighting that obsession is hard. Itโs deeply engrained. In this realm, as individual women, we are probably harder on ourselves than anyone else is. But is it any wonder when we are bombarded with reminders that losing weight is the pinnacle of a womanโs achievements?
As a woman who has had three children and endured a couple of different illnesses over the past 15 years I have occupied a variety of different shapes โ represented by different numbers on the scales.
When I catch a glimpse of myself in a photo from ten years ago, my impulsive response is to cringe. And not because of the bony, unwell woman in the throes of Crohnโs disease I see.
I cringe reflexively because I am a lot better now, so I am bigger. The fact I have to consciously remind myself of that never fails to baffle me. What sort of crazy person would want to be unhealthily thin?
The sort of person who has subconsciously absorbed the narrative about a womanโs worth and her weight being inextricably and inversely linked.
The only upside to seeing Lena Dunhamโs being celebrated for losing weight because she isnโt well is that it makes sense of the absurd. There is a reason we subliminally accept that weight loss is a significant feat worth fawning over.
In most cases, it isnโt. But we are fed that line often that itโs hard to remember our worth doesnโt actually fluctuate with our weight. Next time you forget, listen to Lena.

Kim Kardashianโs chief make-up artist, Mario Dedivanovic, is a goldmine of bona fide beauty advice, but this trick is one of his best ever.
Taking to his Instagram, Dedivanovic revealed his simple but genius trick for creating Kimโs signature glossy nude eye make-up, which surprisingly involves concealer instead of eyeshadow.
โTo achieve a look like this on the eyes, I used a cream concealer in a darker shade on the lids (as a shadow) followed by the eye gloss,โ says Dedivanovic.
Not only does the hack cut out the need for a multitude of powder products, it enables you to create a glamorous look thatโs perfect for day or night with little more than a bit of blending with your fingers.
For those who arenโt sold on the glossy eye look, simply set the concealer with a touch of translucent powder to ensure it stays put all day (and all night) long.
In another clever case of make-up multi-tasking, Dedivanovic used Kiehlโs Midnight Recovery Concentrate in place of highlighter on Kimโs cheekbones for the 2017 Met Gala.

A jury has found two Sydney men guilty of being present while a teenage girl was raped in a toilet by another man.
Loyd Bandao, 22, James Bruce, 29, and Billy Joe Alcazar found the 18-year-old throwing up in an outhouse at a Blacktown party in 2015.
Loyd Bandao (Image: Facebook)
Alcazar, who pled guilty to raping the teen, testified against the other two men, saying that the all sexually assaulted her. โI ripped her pants off she turned around and started smoking [having oral sex] with Loyd and I started rooting her,โ a court heard on Monday.
The jury, however, found Alcazar guilty of rape and Bandao and Bruce guilty of sexual assault in company โ watching the act happen, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Alcazar went on to say, the 18-year-old girl โnever said stop or anything,โ so he believed at the time that the sexual act was consensual.
The teen said that afterwards she crawled out of the bathroom before passing out.

UPDATE: Ahead of Cassie Sainsburyโs familyโs interview scheduled to air this weekend, a preview has been released in which Cassieโs fiancรฉ describes how she was โluredโ to Colombia by other Australians.
Cassie is currently being held in a Colombian prison following being found with 5.8kg of cocaine in her suitcase, which she says was planted there without her knowledge. Her partner, Scott Broadbridge, is basically contradicting her story of being completely in the dark about the drugs, saying toChannel Sevenโs Sunday Night program that he was โsurprisedโ to learn she was flying to Colombia and that he saw mystery โpaymentsโ deposited into her account.
โYou saw the payments from them?โ host Denham Hitchcock asked, to which Scott replied, โYes.โ
Cassie will also speak on the show about the moment she was busted in the airport.
ORIGINAL: The mother and sister of accused drug smuggler Cassie Sainsbury are reported to have secured a tell-all TV deal about the South Australianโs arrest and incarceration in Columbia.
If you find yourself feeling a reflexive unease with this scenario, youโre not alone. It raises a number of legal and ethical issues. And then thereโs the very real possibility that anything the family says may worsen Cassieโs predicament. Itโs against the law in Australia for a criminal to profit from her crimes. Of course, at this time Cassie isnโt a criminal โ sheโs merely accused โ but if she ends up being convicted of trafficking the alleged 5.8kg of cocaine found in her luggage as she attempted to board a flight from Bogota to London, then she will be a criminal. Itโs not technically illegal for her family to pocket the cash pre-conviction โ but itโs playing pretty fast and loose with the law.
But most of all, thereโs simply too much opportunity for this naรฏve family to make things worse for Cassie. Lisa and Khala Evans, as well as Sainsburyโs fiancรฉ, Scott Broadbridge, have already raised questions about case by giving conflicting accounts of the reason the Adelaide woman was in Colombia at all โ Lisa claimed she was on a work trip with her personal training business, before Scott bungled that alibi by claiming she hadnโt worked for the business for some time. Do they really think opening their mouths again is going to help?
Columbian lawmakers may also see the media interest in the case as an opportunity to make an example of the young South Australian. If the world is watching โ specifically via their TV sets on a Sunday night โ the Colombian courts are unlikely to be interested in applying lenience. Rather, as Indonesian authorities may have done with another Australian drug-accused, Schapelle Corby, they may choose to capitalise on the South Australianโs visibility as a warning to others, and apply the full force of the law. In Cassieโs case, that means up to 15 years jail.
Weโve entered a strange new world where Australians who get in trouble overseas see the media as a significant player in the way their cases proceed. We saw it with Schapelle Corby, with no evidence it assisted her in any way. We saw it again with Sally Faulkner, the Australian mother whose children were kidnapped by their Lebanese father โ that case ended catastrophically, with a number of arrests and Sally losing all contact with her kids. Itโs easy to see how a smooth-talking TV producer could convince a desperate family that they can step in and present a loved oneโs plight in a way that will tug at the heartstrings and help her case. The cash offer must certainly sweeten the deal. But the potential risks are astonishing.
Cassieโs family would do better to stay quiet, work every legal angle they can and pray with everything theyโve got.

Modest hand-holding is usually all we see from British royal couples, but Prince Harry and his Suits star girlfriend, Meghan Markle, broke all the PDA rules with their loved-up show on the weekend.
The pair made their first public appearance at an exclusive Audi Polo Challenge in Ascot, England, on May 6.

The pair returned to Ascot the following day and were snapped sharing a kiss and embrace after Harry left the field, People reports.
Grainy photographs show the couple kissing between two cars after the match.
The public display of affection was far less awkward than the infamous โsnubbed kissโ between Prince Charles and Princess Diana at a polo match in Jaipur, India, in 1992.
Eddie Redmayneโwho attended Eton College with Prince Williamโalso competed on day one of the event, while William saddled-up for the match on day two.
Prince Harry and Markle confirmed their relationship to the media in November, 2016, with an official statement from the Communications Secretary.
โPrince Harry is worried about Ms. Markleโs safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her,โ the statement said. โIt is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm.โ
Later this month the pair is expected to attend Pippa Middletonโs highly-anticipated wedding to financier and racing driver James Matthews.

It looks like Suri Cruise is already on her way to being Hollywoodโs next most fashionable youngster, with her mum, Katie Holmes, revealing she keeps her Met Gala gowns for her daughter to wear when she gets older.
โI have a few of [my Met Gala dresses for Suri],โ she told Entertainment Tonight. โAnd a lot of them have gone back to the museums where they were.โ
On the stunning Zac Posen gown she wore to last weekโs ball, she said, โThis was the only one I tried on. I love this dress because of the care that is taken into create something like this.
โEvery ruffle is its own pattern, and thereโs so much thought and detail in it. Itโs really an honour to wear it.โ
When she was still married to Tom Crusie, Suriโs father, the actress mentioned Suriโs passion for fashion, saying to New York magazine: โI grew up the youngest of five, so there were a lot of hand-me-downs that I would sort of change up. And Suri and I do that now with her clothes. Or rather, she does it. She says, โI want this sleeve cut,โ and itโs like, โOkay, weโll cut it.โ
โTom [Cruise] and I went to the Met ball a couple of years ago, and I had this beautiful red gown and these royal-blue shoes that I wasnโt planning on wearing, but Suri made me put them on and so I was like, โOkay, I trust you,'โ she said.

82 girls were freed as part of a prisoner exchange facilitated by the Nigerian government and international aid agencies such as Red Cross. Now one of the mediators involved in their release, lawyer Zannah Mustapha, has revealed that some of the girls didnโt want to come home.
โSome girls refused to return,โ Mustapha told the Thomson Reuters Foundation from Abuja, Nigeriaโs capital, adding that, โas a mediator, it is not part of my mandate to force them.โ
The 82 freed Chibok girls in Nigeria.
Around 113 girls are believed to still be held hostage, following the release of 21 girls in October 2016 and several who have managed to escape.
The mediatorโs revelations have renewed fears that the girls have been radicalised by Boko Haram or have developed Stockholm syndrome in the three years since their capture.
Many have been forced into marrying their captors, who have fathered their children since kidnapping them from their high school in 2014.

Itโs an exciting day for Big Little Lies fans because Reese Witherspoon has hinted at the possibility of the hit show returning for a second season.
The immensely popular series, which finished airing in April, featured a stand-out cast, including Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Alexander Skarsgard, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley and Elle Fanning.
It was adapted from the best-selling book by Australian writer Liane Moriarty, which follows a group of parents in Monterey, California and the drama โ or more specifically, unsolved murder โ in their lives.
While there has been much speculation the HBO series would return this seems like the closest weโve gotten to an official confirmation.
Witherspoon took to Instagram yesterday to post a photo of herself and two of the other lead actresses, Kidman and Dern, with the caption, โSpending #SundayFunday with these ladiesโฆworking on some new lies.โ
Reeseโs 9.7m followers were quick to conclude that she was hinting at the filming of more BLL episodes, saying things like, โYay!!!! Itโs coming back? Thank Goodness!!!!!โ and, โOverjoyed!!!! just finished the book i was so bummed when the series ended had to keep it going.โ
However, E! News reports, โthe photo has nothing to do with a follow-up up season. Rather, the three actresses were simply doing a photo shoot together.โ
That doesnโt explain why Reese would put โworking on some new liesโ in the caption though, so weโre still firmly holding hope.
Especially given the famous cast have each said on multiple occasions that theyโre open to the idea of extending the franchise with the help of Liane Moriarty.

The boyfriend of a pregnant blogger who was killed in a tragic scooter accident in Thailand will be charged over her death.
British blogger Sophie Emma Rose died after the scooter she was riding on the back of with boyfriend Danny Glass collided with a truck.
Thai police say Danny will be charged with causing death by reckless driving, the BBC reports. The truck driver Natt Awut Timsu will also face the same charges.
Sophie became famous for campaigning for mothers to continue to breastfeed their children until age eight, and her YouTube videos documenting her with her 4-year-old son, Shaye. She was pregnant with her second child to Danny.
Her partner confirmed the news on Facebook overnight, writing, โTragic news my girlfriend died in a scooter accident we had today.โ
โI am in total shock as Iโve lost the most precious person I had ever connected with.. my brain keeps going into denial. I am distraught. She was also pregnant so I lost my child too.โ
โI do not have access to all of her friends or family members so if you know any of them please notify them that this has happened.โ
โI need as much love and support as I can get from everyone,โ he finished.
The Kent boyfriend of pregnant Sophie Emma Rose, who died in a crash in Thailand, has released an emotional video, just days after her death pic.twitter.com/MS98zAVDPu
Sophieโs YouTube channel โSophieโs Joy Breastfeeding Mamaโ had amassed more than eight million views, with one video of her breastfeeding Shaye viewed over 25m times.
A police officer at the scene said, โShe was riding on a motorbike with her partner when they changed lanes to avoid a vehicle parked and blocking their path in the motorbike lane of the road. As they did this, the truck hit them from behind. The woman was then run over by the truck and sustained fatal head injuries,โ reports the Daily Mail.
Itโs believed the driver of the truck has handed himself into police after initially fleeing the scene.

Youโd have to be living under a rock not to have noticed the resurgence of Y2K style โ think low-slung jeans, glittery hair accessories and colourful looks โ but thankfully, one retro throwback has largely stayed where it was (despite the rumours): skinny, tadpole eyebrows.
Thanks to the slew of stars with brows that define their careers as much as their facial features โ names like Lily Collins, Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid spring to mind โ fluffy, perfectly shaped arches continue to reign supreme.
Us mere mortals have perfected the art of brushing up, filling in, laminating and tweezing when necessary, but now thereโs a new treatment in town: brow botox.
Also referred to as a brow lift, or eyebrow repositioning, brow botox allows you to subtly change the shape of your brow.
โWhether to create more of an arch, to change the position of their arch or to lift the front or tail of the brow, women of all ages come to see me for a brow lift,โ says cosmetic physician Dr Van Park. โDepending on where the toxin is administered, we can create a softer, enhanced or refreshed look.โ
What you definitely donโt want is the opposite โ โa harder, mean and even more tired effect.โ Read on for everything you need to know before you decide if brow botox is for you.
How Does Brow Botox Work?
Botox effectively paralyses muscles in the face. โThere is a delicate balance between the push and pull action of all the muscles of the face. For the brows, the balance is between the forehead muscles which lift the brows and the frown and eye muscles which pulls various parts of the brows down,โ explains Dr Park.
โWe use botulinum toxin to create a slight imbalance between these muscles and weaken specific points on the brow so that they lift or drop at certain points.โ Occasionally fillers are also used to enhance the browโs shape.
That all depends on the skill of your doctor (and you should definitely leave this one to doctors!). โA skilled injector will be able to determine the exact points, the exact dosage depending on how strong the muscles are, how the brows moves naturally, what muscles are responsible for the movement and potential recruitment of accessory muscles,โ says Dr Park.
โSome injectors will also be able to determine the underlying bone structure and ligaments responsible for the shape of the brows and use fillers accordingly to give a much more natural and enhanced look.โ
How Long Does It Last?
Between three and six months.
But Are There Any Side Effects?
There could be. Like any procedure, a brow lift comes with risks. Unintentionally creating a harsh, unnatural look is the most common side effect, created by misplaced jabs or incorrect dosage.
โThe most common mistake I see is what is commonly referred to as the โDr Spock lookโ, where only the ends of the brows are moving,โ Dr Park says.
A less common, but more scary, potential side effect is โptosisโ of the eyelid, โwhere the actual eyelid droops due to leakage of toxin into the eyelid muscles,โ according to Dr Park. Not pleasant.
The risks increase when fillers are involved โ think potentially โinjecting into an artery and causing potential skin death.โ The take-home? Ensure you see an experienced and skilled professional for the procedure and weigh up the risks.
Then, imagine what youโd look like with brows like this:

Running into your ex with their new partner can be excruciating at the best of times, let alone on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on one of fashionโs biggest nights.
But dressed in a slinky Alexander Wang catsuit, Bella Hadid took the encounter in her stride and has revealed sheโs happy being single for a while.
โItโs like Iโm finally getting to the point where I can just think about what I want to do and the places I want to go,โ the fashion model told Grazia magazine. โI want to be as independent as possible and worry about myself rather than anyone else.โ
The It-couple announced the end of their 18-month relationship in November last year. It was only a matter of time before Hadid crossed paths with The Weeknd, with both taking the stage at the 2017 Victoriaโs Secret show, just a month after their break-up.

In February, the model and younger sister to Gigi told Teen Vogueher breakup with The Weeknd would be โhard for a whileโ.
โLove hurts, but you have to pull through. But Iโll always respect him, and Iโll always love him,โ Hadid said.
โSometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that youโve fought so hard to build.โ
The Weekndโreal name Abel Tesfayeโ made a very public display of affection with new squeeze Selena Gomez at the Met Gala last week. Their relationship has continued to unfold in the public eye with Gomez bringing some of her family along to The Weekndโs concert in Dallas, Texas, on Thursday, reports E! Online.

Thereโs a few things the British royal family do best: nail polished glamour, rear corgis and apparently, pick baby names.
Charlotteโa name shared by the Duchess of Cambridgeโs two-year-old princessโhas topped the list of the most popular girlsโ names in Australia for a second year in a row.
According to a study by social researchers McCrindle, 1817 girls were named Charlotte out of the 300,000 babies born in Australia in the past year.
Olivia, Mia, Ava and Amelia were the next most popular names for girls, all interestingly ending in a vowel.
For boys, Oliver was the number one pick, followed by William, Jack and Noah.

While stranger celebrity names like North, Rocket and Apple were absent, the influence of A-listers can be seen in names like Penelope in 54th place (Kourtney Kardashian was on to something), Willow (the name of Pinkโs daughter) and Noah (Michael Bublรฉโs son).
Four new boysโ names cracked the top 100 for the first time: Sonny (thanks Zoe Foster-Blake!), Vincent, Parker. Five new girls namesโ Bonnie, Thea, Quinn, Florence and Brooklynโalso got their dues.
And proving a love for botanicals isnโt limited to gin, many floral-inspired names feature on the list, including Lily, Ivy, Willow, Violet, Jasmine, Poppy, Rose, Daisy and Olive.

โThis Is Usโ star Chrissy Metz has hit back at critics following the MTV Movie & TV Awards held in Los Angeles earlier today.
The actress, who plays Kate on the hit TV show, teamed up with her on-screen dad to present the award for best duo, however, people quickly started trashing her outfit choice.
Wearing a burgundy latex dress, bedazzled ballet flats, and statement earrings, Chrissy, looked incredible on the stage, however, (pretty darn rude) people of the internet decided the 36-year-old couldnโt pull off the latex because of her weight.
Chrissy, who has always been open and downright inspiring about her size, was quick to clapback at critics, writing on Twitter, โFor the record, I wear what I want, when I want. News flash, itโs MY body #thanksthoโ
For the record, I wear what I want, when I want. News flash it's MY body. #thankstho
Chrissy has previously spoken toMarie Claire about the importance of standing up for body diversity, saying, โSize doesnโt equate to beauty.โ
โI donโt understand why thatโs a thing. Well, I do, because the media has told us thin is beautiful. But is it? Because I think people are miserable not eating and smoking cigarettes.โ
She continued, โIโve had roommates who were thin girls and constantly working out and trying to stay under a certain size. Even the average girl looks 10 pounds heavier on the screen.โ
For the record, Chrissy, we think you look amazing.

Kate Middletonโs stylist, Natasha Archer, got married this week โ to none other than Getty Imagesโ royal photographer, Chris Jackson. Jackson has photographed the Duchess and her family on multiple occasions.
The picture-perfect wedding ceremony was held in the French countryside, at Chateau Rigaud in Mouliets-et-Villemartin. Unsurprisingly, Archer wore Jenny Packham โ which she frequently dresses the Duchess of Cambridge in โ for her big day. See the breathtakingly beautiful pictures below.

The Internet can be a weird and wonderful place. It has brought us memes, cat videos, thousands upon thousands of makeup tutorials and of course a plethora of DIY hair, makeup and skin hacks that promise to revolutionise our beauty routine.
And while many of those hacks have forever changed how we apply liquid eyeliner (Scotch tape, youโre our saviour) and made our skin smoother than it has ever been (thank you coconut oil), there are also numerous Internet beauty hacks that you should never try for yourself. Many of which have been documented in a Reddit forum thread titled โWhatโs the worst โbeauty hackโ youโve ever tried?โAnd boy were there some horror stories told.
Here are our top picks for the worst beauty hacks that you should never try for yourself:
The egg hair mask
While coconut oil works wonders as a hair mask, not all DIY masks are made equal. In fact, Reddit usertwpop shared โI read online a recipe for a hair mask that included conditioner, olive oil and an egg (beaten). When I got in the shower to rinse it off, the water was too hot and it cooked the egg in my hair. I had bits of scrambled egg in my hair for three days.โ
[We promise weโre not laughingโฆmuch]
Homemade pore strips
Blackhead removal masks and strips have gone viral in recent months with everyone keen to jump on the bandwagon. If you too were looking for a way to remove your blackheads, weโd suggest avoiding the DIY approach, as Reddit user whiisdiscomaniatakaen revealed her attempt didnโt have a favourable result. โI watched this Michelle Phan video where she makes this homemade pore strip with gelatin and milk. As I put it on my nose, I was taken aback by the smell. It actually smelled like rotten eggs and bad farts. I thought to myself, no pain no gain. After 10 minutes I peeled it off and there were no blackheads on the stripโฆI went through all that for nothing,โ she explained.
Heated eyeliner
This hack involves heating a pencil eyeliner with a lighter to soften the product. While effective in theory, the risk associated with this hack is high, as user Thatโs_way_harsh_tai learned. She explained, โI lit an eyeliner pencil to soften it. It worked, except I didnโt wait for it to cool down and burned the crap out of my eye.โ
Turmeric face mask
The benefits of incorporating turmeric into your skin care routine have been well documented. However, the spice is best left out of face masks for those with pale skin tones as one user found it stained her face and left her looking more like an Oompa-Loompa than a glowing beauty.
Sharpie eyeliner
While we would have thought this was an obvious no-go, it turns out Sharpies are a popular tool used to create a winged eyeliner look. But one Reddit user, Robinallday learned the hard way why this isnโt such a good idea as, โit didnโt start out bad but then after an hour it started burning except by that point it had dried and I couldnโt get it off! I spent the next two hours crying and rubbing my eyes until my mum scrubbed my face with Vaseline and finally got it off.โ

To yesterdayโs MTV Movie & TV Awards, Emma Watson chose to wear Australian designer KitX.
Of course, it makes perfect sense for Emma to wear the Sydney-born brand, as its main focus is on ethical and sustainable fashion, which is implemented by consciously sourcing materials that donโt harm the planet.
The 27-year-old, who received the first-ever gender neutral award in the history of acting, also pinned a blue badge to her black and silver dress.
The pin is from GLAAD, a group working to better the lives of LGBTQ+ and marginalised people, and the blue โ&โ symbol stands for solidarity and togetherness.
โTogether, we resist the powers that seek to divide us. We must stand in solidarity,โ the GLAAD website states. โAll of us. Because no one is just one identity, and many of us are under attack. All marginalised communities are under attack. The ampersand is the symbol that unites us.โ
Emma wasnโt the only one to wear one of the pins to the award ceremony, either.
13-year-old Millie Bobby Brown, who also won a Best Actor award โ and gave the most heartfelt speech โ also donned the badge.

Where were you when you heard that Brangelina was no more in September last year? Wherever it was, weโre guessing you greeted the news almost immediately with speculation about what could have broken up Hollywoodโs golden couple, who had been married for two years and raised six children together.
Although initial reports suggested Brad was at fault โ he was investigated by child services after reports he โlungedโ at his son Maddox during an argument with Angelina on a plane โ the rumour mill quickly turned its attention to Angelina. She seems controlling. Sheโs icy. Sheโs unstable. Sheโs obsessed with being skinny. Sheโs done some really weird stuff.
Poor sandy-haired, puppy-faced, boy-next-door Brad! How could anyone tolerate that level of crazy? Amiable Brad has never done pashed his own brother or drunk vials of his own blood. Surely heโs a victim of a vixen, ejected from the bosom of his family by the monstrous Angelina.
Yet Bradโs recent GQ interview โ youโve read it, the one where he describes finding solace in clay and cavorts in a national park like a grotesque David Attenborough documentary โ makes it very clear that he has what most spouses would see as intolerable and unworkable faults. โI canโt remember a day since I got out of college when I wasnโt boozing or had a spliff,โ he confesses. โThis last yearโฆ I was boozing too much,โ he adds. โItโs just become a problem.โ
This isnโt a man admitting that he sometimes leaves the toilet seat up. Alcohol and drug addiction arenโt something that most marriages can just brush under the carpet. Theyโre apocalyptic horsemen, devouring those who are in their clutches and everyone around them. Itโs explicitly clear, now, that these factors must have been enormous in the coupleโs marriage breakdown.
Itโs a similar story with Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Johnny always seemed like a quirky guy, but overall a lovable, harmless rogue. Surely Heard was the gold-digging femme fatale who made false allegations of domestic violence for her own bloodless, acquisitive reasons, and then dragged him through the mud when heโd fulfilled his purpose? And yet in the wash up of their ugly breakup, the couple released a joint statement where they agreed there had been no โintentโ of physical or emotional harm โ and nor did either party make false accusations against the other for financial gain.
Itโs difficult to ascertain where our impulse to blame the vixen comes from. Is it because Brad and Johnny are skilled actors, and adept at presenting a blameless image to the world, or enmeshing their public personalities with the loveable characters they play? Or is it that deep down we believe any woman as overtly sexual and beautiful as Angelina and Amber must be using those traits to manipulate?
Hollywood actors entertain us both on and off the screen. Itโs unlikely a day will ever come where we donโt speculate about the minutia of their private lives. It comes with the territory. But when these romances, that weโve invested in from the start go bad, it reflects badly on all of us that our reflex is to condemn the woman and coddle the man.

Those awkward exchanges between presenters at awards nights are always cringe-worthy โ in an overly scripted, poorly acted, rarely funny kind of way โ but Allison Williamsโ turn at the 2017 MTV Movie Awards will go down as being in particularly poor taste.
The Girls star was on stage to present the award for Best Kiss with her Get Out co-star Lil Rey Howery, and itโs already drawn the internetโs ire. Note to Allison (and whoever wrote her shocking script): racist jokes, especially poorly executed ones, donโt tend to go down well on live TV.
It all started because Williams plays racist Rose Armitage on Get Out, which garnered her a nomination for Best Villain at the awards. She asks Rey what she can do to win back peopleโs respect after playing such a role, before offering up her own suggestions.
Unfortunately, the ideas she comes up with do little other than to perpetuate racist stereotypes. Such as making it โillegal to ask, โcan I touch your hair?โโ and saying George Washingtonโs face should be replaced with Denzel Washingtonโs. Or putting Beyonceโs Lemonade on Spotify.
Cue Twitter tirades as viewers expressed their disbelief that such a skit got approved:

Itโs a vision too gruesome to conjure, too chilling to entertain: your enraged husband charges into your home, grabs your daughter and plunges a knife through her heart.
But itโs a vision thatโs all too real for Queensland mum Marlene Locke, still tormented by the death of her eldest child, 23-year-old Sherelle, three years ago.
On a summerโs evening in February 2014, Locke and Sherelle had planted themselves on the couch at Lockeโs home in Boronia Heights, Brisbane, for a quiet girlsโ night in. The pair were close and cherished mother-daughter time; Sherelle herself had three children, while Locke had two younger children with her husband of six years, Raymond John Mead.
Around 11.30pm, Mead arrived home from a night out drinking. Hearing laughter in the living room, he stormed in, lunged at Sherelle and seemingly punched her in the chest (in fact he had a knife). As blood began to seep from her daughterโs body, Locke feared for the worst.
Mead then grabbed Locke and pinned her against the wall to stop her from helping Sherelle, who had collapsed on the floor, screaming in pain.
โI could actually see Sherelle out of the corner of my eye slowly slipping away and there was nothing I could do,โ Ms Locke told Nine News. โHe wouldnโt let me go.โ
Sherelle Locke (Credit: Facebook)
As Locke looked on sobbing, her daughterโs face draining of colour by the second, Mead told her that his stepdaughter โdeserved itโ.
By the time Mead released Locke 10 minutes later, it was too late.
โMy beautiful daughter and my best friend was gone,โ Locke said this week.
โI will never be able to get that vision out of my head of her being killed before my eyes and not being able to help her,โ she told The Sun. โBut I want my story to be told as a warning to women in situations like mine.โ
โI will never be able to get that vision out of my head of her being killed before my eyes and not being able to help herโ
Last November, Mead was jailed for life for the murder. The jury heard he had a history of abusive behaviour: Locke had previously taken out a domestic violence order against him and had moved in with Sherelle for a short period. Mead reportedly detested his stepdaughter, who had repetitively urged her mother to leave him.
While Lockeโs internal torture and deep grief live on, her priority now is the safety of her two surviving children, aged five and eight. Locke has set up a GoFundMe page to change their surnames.
She says: โI am trying to raise funds to get their names changed so they dont have to grow up with a murderers [sic] surname โฆ I am also changing their names and mine for safety reasons due to Domestic Violence from my ex and he never gives up even behind bars.โ
Determined that her daughterโs tragic death wonโt be in vein, Locke has also become a domestic violence ambassador and Red Rose Foundation advocate.
Her words for other victims? โHave an escape plan in place,โ she told Nine News. โHave one person and one person only that knows where youโre going to go and what youโre going to do. Try and get some money behind you, but just get out.โ
You can donate to Marlene Lockeโs GoFundMe pagehere.

Thereโs much more to Pia Miller than headlines and Disney hair, we discover over coffee with the Home and Away star. She opens up about her fitness approach, food and the most important lessons sheโs learnt over her 20s and 30s.
โI had a child when I was 19, so my 20s were spent caring for young children,โ she says. โNow Iโm in my 30s and Iโm enjoying [my boys] so much. Theyโre a bit older and we enjoy the same musicโฆ itโs like โOh did you hear that new Drake album?โ [laughs]. Youโre discovering who you are in your late teens and 20s; in your 30s youโre implementing everything youโve learned. My 30s so far have been really enjoyable, just solidifying what I stand for, how I want to raise my kids and the person I want to be within my family, friendship groups and my work environment.โ
Letโs talk food. Whatโs your day on a plate like?
โGood! I make this yummy gourmet porridge, which I bring to set. Fruit, coconut flakes, almonds, water and a little bit of macadamia milk. I just chop everything into it. That carries me through till lunch, then Iโll go to a local cafe and get a salad. We also have afternoon tea on set, where they bring out healthy options โ celery and carrot sticks, dips, pitas โ and I might snack on a piece of chocolate. Then when I get home, dinner always depends on what the boys feel like. Usually itโs Mexican.โ
Is that your go-to fare?
โWe love our Mexi bowls at home. Brown rice is generally the base, then I put in chilli beans, corn and chicken or beef. Plus guacamole and homemade pico de gallo, which is tomato, red onion, capsicum, lime juice and a couple of little secret ingredients โ then I crunch up some corn chips to put on top. Thereโs so much joy in cooking; I spend a lot of time in my kitchen on the weekend. With two growing boys, itโs a love language โ providing food and watching them eat and enjoy it.โ

Talk us through your fitness approach.
โI used to do high-intensity training with a trainer but I just donโt have that time anymore, so I kick the footy with my boys and run around with them. We love the beach so weโre often swimming and playing in the water. I love going to yoga, too, but I canโt as much as Iโd like so Iโve put a yoga mat in my dressing room. Itโs just important to keep moving. I donโt exercise necessarily to look a certain way, but to feel a certain way. The more I do, the better and more energised I feel โ I get tired at the appropriate times, I want to sleep at the appropriate timeโฆ my body starts responding accordingly.โ

13-year-old Millie Bobby Brown burst onto the scene last year as the incredible character, Eleven, on Netflixโs Stranger Things.
The teen, who is already cooler than weโll ever be, was just awarded Best Actor at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, beating Game of Thronesโ Emilia Clarke and Atlantaโโs Donald Glover.
Millie couldnโt hold back her tears while delivering her acceptance speech. She began by saying, โI want to thank my familyโฆ you give me light every day and I love you,โ before continuing to thank her team, and the Duffer Brothers for creating Elevenโs character.
โI want to thank Sean Levy for being one of the best directors Iโve ever had the pleasure of working with. Sean, everything youโve taught me I will carry on for the rest of my career.โ
โLastly, I want to thank the Duffer Brothers because theyโve created a badass, female, iconic character that Iโve got the honour to play.โ

Chrissy Metz and Milo Ventimiglia AKA Kate and Jack from the television series This Is Us, made our hearts while presenting at todayโs MTV Movie & TV Awards.
Milo stayed in character while presenting the popcorn trophy for best duo!
โGuys, Iโm so excited to be presenting best Duo on the MTV Movie and Television Awards,โ Metz said to the crowd after walking up the stage arm-in-arm with Ventimiglia.
โYou know, Princess, these MTV awards, they were a little different in my day,โ the actor said, just like his character.
โWhat are you doing? Like, I know that I play your daughter, but youโre only three years old than me,โ Metz asked Ventimiglia, who refused to break character.
โYou know, things were a lot simpler when I was a kid. You know, in the โ90s, we had movies like Beauty and the Beast. On TV, we were watching Full House,โ he said. โBlink 182 was making a go of it on tour, and you know, we just couldnโt stop talking about O.J. Simpson.โ

โIt is time to make America gay again!โ was the rallying cry from Will & Grace star Debra Messing at the 28th GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday.
In an emotional speech the actress called on Ivanka Trump, 35, daughter of US President Donald Trump, to stand up for womenโs and gay rights in light of the current political climate.
โIvanka, please stop blindly defending your father and start defending what you say you believe in,โ Messing said.
โItโs not enough to simply say that womenโs issues are important to you.โ
Ivanka Trump
The actress continued: โIvanka, you can change the lives of millions of women and children just by telling your dad stories about real people who are suffering. Donโt let him separate immigrant mothers from their American-born children.โ
Messing added that the return of Will & Grace to TV screens in September was timelier than ever following Trumpโs election to office.
According to Variety, comedian and TV star Rosie OโDonnell also mocked the president at the GLAAD Media Awards ceremony with a text saying: โFโk you, Donald. From the gays.โ
Girls star Andrew Rannells, actor Zachary Quinto and comedian Trevor Noah were among the celebs who attended the event.

On Friday night, two doctors were found brutally murdered in their penthouse apartment in Boston.
Dr. Richard Field, 49, and his fiancรฉ Dr. Lina Bolanos, 38, were found with their hands tied and throats slit when police responded to a call about a man with a gun at the luxury apartment building.
The coupleโs killer, Bampumim Teixeira, was still at the home and shot at police on their arrival. Officials wounded, but did not kill, the 30-year-old and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
A message was written on the walls of the apartment in blood and photos of the couple were cut up on the floor.
Such a personal and brutal attack swiftly begs the question, why?
Facebook
The attack had to have been well thought out considering the trouble Teixeira would have had entering the building, getting past security, and reaching the penthouse.
โ(For) someone to come here, go up to the 11th floor, to the penthouse, we got to believe that somehow there was some type of knowledge of each other,โ Boston Police Commissioner William B Evans said, reports WCWB.
Teixeira had just completed nine months sentence for robbing two banks. At the time of his arrest he referred to himself as a โsecurity guardโ but upon further investigation police found he didnโt work in security anymore, and that the company he used to work for didnโt look after Fieldโs building.
Thereโs speculation that the doctors, specifically Field, could have been involved in the distribution of drug prescriptions and may have been killed after he refused a request from Teixeira.
Others say it may have been a love triangle gone wrong, but that seems unlikely as no friends or family have been able to connect the pair to their killer.
The Boston Globe reports that a set of keys were found by police outside of Fieldโs apartment door, presumably how Teixeira got up the lift and into the house. Authorities yelled out upon their arrival and when they heard nothing back, used the keys to let themselves in.
According to his ex-girlfriend, Teixeria had called her upon his release from prison and said that he didnโt plan on living for long but that he wouldnโt hurt anyone.
She described him as a โgentlemanโ who was always kind to her young son.

Twitter MVP and queen of real talk, Chrissy Teigen, sent the Internet into a spin last week when she admitted to having extensive plastic surgery during the launch of her new Becca palette. โEverything about me is fake except my cheeks.โ
Teigen pointed to her forehead, her nose, her lips: โFake, fake, fake.โ
Naturally, news feeds caught on and Teigen later took to Twitter to clarify her comments in her trademark sassy style:
The 31-year-old explained that sheโd had armpit surgery but she was joking about everything else being fake. โReminder to never ever joke, ever,โ she tweeted. โ(I did do the armpits, no regrets except it clearly came back)โฆโ
Byrdie reported the model and mum to baby Luna, 13 months, underwent the unusual procedure 9 years ago. โIt added two inches of length to my arms,โ she said. โ[That fat] is coming back though, so I might need to go in and pay for it again,โ she laughed.
And as if we needed more reasons to love her, the Lip Sync Battle co-host signed off with: โYou think Iโd have this ass if Iโd done extensive work? Like who would ask for this ass.โ

โSend nudesโ: itโs a common request in the world of 21st-century dating, but one that can have seriously scary consequences. A survey of 4200 people by researchers from RMIT University and Monash University has found that one in five Australians have become victims of image-based abuse, including taking sexual or nude images without consent, the distribution of images without consent and the threat to share imagesโand people who share sexual selfies are most at risk of being exploited.
The terrifying trend doesnโt discriminate: women and men are equally likely to become victims (although the perpetrators are more commonly male), but minority groups are especially vulnerable. And itโs not just about โrevengeโ. โImages are being used to control, abuse and humiliate people in ways that go well beyond the โrelationship gone sourโ scenario,โ chief investigator, Dr Nicola Henry, said in a statement.
One in 10 people who had never taken a naked photo of themselves had been targeted. Image-based abuse also includes instances where webcams have been hacked, or images sourced from hacked email accounts.
And the numbers could be even higher, researcher Dr Asher Flynn, from Monash University, told news.com.au. โOur survey only captured those victims who had become aware their images had been distributed, whereas some victims may never discover that their images have been taken and distributed, particularly if they are circulated on sites located on the Dark Web,โ she said.
โSocial media providers and internet companies need to introduce strong and proactive measures that take seriously the harms of image-based abuse.โ
As if discovering your naked selfie online wasnโt bad enough, thereโs little you can do about it. Currently, only South Australia criminalise the distribution of an intimate image without consent. There are no specific federal laws, and no specific criminal offence exists in other Australian states.
Researchers are calling for law reform and better support for victims.

On April 14, 2014, 276 school girls aged between 16 and 18 were kidnapped by Boko Haram fighters in the town of Chibok, Nigeria.
Three years later, the Islamic terrorist group has released 82 of the girls, after extensive negotiations with the Nigerian government.
Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari has released a statement to the AFP detailing the prisoner swap that secured their freedom. โAfter lengthy negotiations, our security agencies have taken back these girls, in exchange for some Boko Haram suspects held by authorities,โ it reads.
Six months earlier, 21 of the girls were released with the help of the Red Cross and international security agencies.
No details have been given as to the identities of the girls released, but Nigerian senator Shehu Sani has told AFP that they are largely โin good conditionโ, SBS reports.
Some, however, have given birth to children fathered by Boko Haram.
The Nigerian government will now attempt to find the rest of the missing girls.
The 2014 kidnapping was just one of multiple abductions undertaken by Boko Haram as a weapon of war, but has by far generated the most global attention. The #BringHomeOurGirls hashtag went viral on social media when former First Lady Michelle Obama and numerous celebrities joined the cause.

Emma Watson just received the first ever gender neutral award in acting history at the MTV Movie Awards.
Instead of winning โBest Actressโ, Emma won โBest Actorโ for her role as Belle in Disneyโs Beauty and the Beast.
As she took to the stage to accept the award, Emma made sure to acknowledge the momentous occasion of winning the first of its kind.
โThe first acting award in history that doesnโt separate nominees based on their sex says something about how we perceive the human experience,โ she said.
โMTVโs move to create a genderless award for acting will mean something different to everyone. But to me it indicates that acting is about the ability to put yourself in someone elseโs shoes and that doesnโt need to be separated into two different categories.โ
Watson then gave a special shout out to Asia Kate Dillon, the non-binary gender actor who presented Watson with her award. โEmpathy and the ability to use your imagination should have no limits,โ Emma told Asia.
โThis is very meaningful for me, both to be winning the award and to be receiving it from you, Asia. Thank you for educating me in such an inclusive, patient, and loving way.โ Emma then burst into tears on stage and gave Asia a huge hug.
The 27-year-old then went on to talk about her award, saying, โI think Iโm being given this award because of who Belle is and what she represents.โ
โThe villagers in our fairy tale wanted to make Belle believe that the world was smaller than the way she saw it with fewer opportunities for her, that her curiosity and passion for knowledge and her desire fore more in life were grounds for alienation.โ
โI loved playing someone who didnโt listen to any of that. Iโm so proud to be a part of a film that celebrates diversity, literacy, inclusion, joy, and love the way that this one does.โ

Over the past month, Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry have been making headlines for their open conversations about mental illness โ a new direction for the royal family who are usually very private about family and health matters.
First, Prince Harry opened up about his struggles with depression following his mother, Princess Dianaโs, death, and then Prince William had a skype date with Lady Gaga, talking about her PTSD.
Both instances were for theHeads Together campaign, which is being supported heavily by Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, and is aiming to change peopleโs perceptions of mental illnesses.
However, apparently, Queen Elizabeth II wants her grandsons to focus their efforts more on the palace and less on their charity, following Prince Philipโs retirement from royal duties.
A source told the Sunday Times, โAs successful as that campaign was, it might be that soul-baring isnโt what Buckingham Palace is looking for.โ
โThe direct impact [of Prince Philipโs retirement] will be that the Cambridges will be expected to step up and undertake more state business and do less of their campaign work.โ
Following a last minute meeting at Buckingham Palace โ which had the world worried about the royal familyโs health โ it was confirmed that Prince Philip, 95, would be stepping down and would no longer attend public engagements from August of this year.

Dr Angela Jay took her new boyfriend, Paul, home to meet her parents and sister in the middle of last year.
โThis tall, good-looking, very confident, well-presented man walked in with the most amazing bunch of flowers Iโve ever seen in my life,โ Angelaโs mum Susan recalled.
However, the 28-year-old says she ended the relationship after six weeks of dating, thinking Paul โticked all the boxesโ but his โintensityโ was smothering. She told Channel Sevenโs Sunday Nightthat she felt guilty and was worried sheโd lead him on.
It turns out 36-year-old insurance manager Paul Lambert used to be known as Paul Scales. He had been deported from the U.S. after stalking his ex-girlfriend and had been arrested for beating his previous wife. He had been diagnosed by a psychologist with borderline personality disorder and wasnโt supposed to be in New South Wales.
The intensity Angela first noted escalated quickly once she ended the relationship. Paul started to message and call like crazy and threatened to kill himself over the rejection.
Angela tried to calm him by inviting him to her high school reunion, however, when Paul started abusing her on the street, Angela and her sister, Danielle, went straight to the police station.
โWe were told, โThis guy is known to police very well. But heโs more of a threat to himself than he is to youโ,โ Danielle recalled.
Paul then sent Angela messages saying that heโd stolen copies of her house keys and that she wasnโt safe in her Port Macquarie home.
โI considered telling my work colleagues what was going on,โ Angela, said. โMaybe not in full, but at least enough to say, โDonโt stress, but if I donโt show up to work, you should probably call the policeโ. I was just so ashamed that I was in this situation at all.โ
One evening in November, Angela left work and went home to feed her cat and have some dinner, before heading to her cousinโs house to stay the night there.
โI felt really calm, I donโt know why,โ she said. โIt was daytime, I thought Iโd just quickly duck home, have some dinner and grab some clothes.โ
โI started walking down [to the bedroom] and, as I was turning corner to enter my bedroom, he jumped out at me,โ Angela said. โI screamed, obviously. And he put his hand around my mouth so I couldnโt scream any more. He look me in the eye, a really intense look, and said, โitโs okay, I just want talkโ.โ
Paul told Angela to sit on the bed and started quizzing her about where she had been staying, asking over and over whether it was at a manโs house.
โI realised I had to try and get away or die trying,โ Angela said. She tried to run from the room but Paul caught her.
โI suddenly saw this knife in his hand. I didnโt actually feel him stabbing me but I could see the blood when I looked down.โ
โI just thought, โOh my God, heโs actually stabbing me, heโs actually going to kill meโ. I was so scared and felt so alone and that I was just going to die alone in this big house that I should never have gone back to.โ
She says she fought to get away again but he caught her. โHe raised a big rectangular can and started pouring petrol over my head,โ Angela said.
โMy eyes were burning, it got in my mouth, it got in my ears. I canโt even explain the horror you feel when you know that someone is trying to set you on fire. I was just terrified that any second I would go up in flames.โ
On her third escape, she finally made it to the front door and ran to her neighbour, Steve Willdern, who had heard the screams and was running down the driveway with a steel bar to intervene.
โAll I could smell was petrol,โ Steve said. โI know I had my arm around her and I dragged her up into our garage.โ
โI just kept saying over and over again, โIโm gonna bleed to death, please call an ambulanceโ,โ Angela said.
Paul had stabbed her 11 times in the thigh and upper arm. He fled the scene in a car that heโd parked out the back of Angelaโs property and while driving made three phone calls. He called Angelaโs mobile first. Steve, who was riding in the ambulance with her, answered it.
โHe said, as calm as can be, in the calmest voice, โHow is she?โ and then I knew, I thought, โholy shit, this is the bloody bloke thatโs done this.'โ
Paul then called Angelaโs mum before calling the police and recounting the attack, referring to himself in the third person.
โHe was gonna force her to have sex with him. Then he was going to strangle her,โ he told police of his planned attack. โHe was gonna pour petrol on her and kill her.โ
Police tracked Paulโs mobile and stopped him in his car around 150 kilometres from Port Macquarie. He got out of the car holding a knife. They tried tasering him, it didnโt work. He ran, still carrying the knife, and police fired with guns. Paul was shot dead.
โHe was gone and he couldnโt hurt me any more. It was a huge, huge relief,โ Angela said. โIt was almost a euphoric sense that I somehow got away and heโs gone. I donโt have to worry. Iโm well and truly safe.โ
Now, Angela, her father and her brother are all training for White Ribbonโs Trek for Respect, a week-long hike along the Larapinta trail in the Northern Territory in September this year. She is aiming to raise $100,000 for White Ribbon Australia to fund domestic violence prevention programs.

While rumours have been circulating for weeks, Selena Gomez has finally confirmed that 13 Reasons Why has been given the official thumbs by Netflix for a second season.
The singer, who is one of the showโs producers, shared the news on Instagram overnight writing, โTheir story isnโt over. Season 2 of #13ReasonsWhy is coming,โ alongside a video montage of some of the showโs most iconic locations.
As expected, fans of Hannah Baker and Clay Jensen are over the moon, hoping that season 2 can clear up all of the unanswered questions we were left with.
What is Mr. Porter going to do with Hannahโs tapes? Did Alex survive his suicide attempt? Was it actually a suicide attempt or did brooding high school photographer Tyler try to murder him? Is Tyler going to shoot up Liberty High? Is Bryce going to pay for what he did to Jessica and Hannah? And, what is up with Tony?!
However, with the graphic scenes of rape and suicide in season 1 causing widespread controversy, and season 2 already looking to include a high school shooting, weโre betting a lot of people wonโt be quite as pleased.

Today happens to be Adeleโs birthday, and we can only imagine how lavish the celebrations will be โ because the singer is also, as it turns out, Britainโs top-earning female solo artist.
According to the Sunday Timesโ annual Rich List, Adele made a staggering ยฃ40 million (around $AU70 million) in 2016, thanks to a wildly successful global tour and bestselling album, 25.
Surprisingly, her lucrative earnings only put her in the 19th position on the list, which Sir Paul McCartney tops with ยฃ780 million. Lord Llyod-Webber comes second with ยฃ740-mill and U2 third with ยฃ580-mil.
You know what that means: Adele is the only woman to appear in the top 20. Depressing.

First, there was rose gold Prosecco. Now, there is blue Prosecco, and no itโs not just blue food colouring โ itโs a legitimately fancy sparkling cocktail.
The sparkling wine in question, โBlumondโ, which actually quietly hit Australia a few months ago, is already on sale in China and the U.S. and is going for around $27 a bottle.
Novel, lavish *and* cheapโฆ now thatโs our kind of drink!
The company responsible for this otherworldly creation, Fratelli Sarecini, are in talks to start selling the blue wine for weddings and special occasions, as well as selling it in Harrods in the U.K.
Whilst the unconventionality of the blue wine has left some Italian winemakers outraged, those of us who are easily amused by brightly coloured drinks (isnโt everybody?) have some serious sipping to do.

Meccaโs official list of bestselling fragrances from the last 12 months is in, and the results are, to be frank, surprising.
Of course, the list is dominated by cult-status Byredo (purveyors of those irresistibly chic perfume bottles that saturate your Instagram feed), with Gypsy Water topping the list. Three other Byredo fragrances also feature in the top 10.
But itโs the third most popular perfume at the luxe beauty emporium that got our attention. Because it isnโt Byredo, or Le Labo Santal 33, or any of the other exclusive scents synonymous with Mecca, but a $6 body spray.
Does Mecca even stock $6 body sprays?!, we hear you ask. As it turns out, yes. And a whole lot of people love it.
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Spray, $6, Mecca.
Soap & Gloryโs Sugar Crush Spray is the scent in question, a โcitrusy brightโ blend of lemon and elemi essential oils mixed with vanilla musk, sweet lime, ginger and a sprinkling of brown sugar.
The handbag-friendly, kitsch packaging also explains the appeal.
See the full list of Meccaโs best-selling scents below:

Gird your loins! It seems Ed Sheeran is coming to the land down under.
The British pop star is reportedly bringing his Divide tour to Australia and New Zealand. Frontier Touring quietly changed all of their social media cover photos and profile pictures to a picture of blue paint, which looks suspiciously similar to Edโsalbum cover.
They also shared the link to the new Galway Girl music video, writing in the caption: โBrb, brushing up on our Irish dancing skills. ๐จ๐ฎ๐โ
Fans went nuts on social media after the profile picture was changed, racking up over 5,000 comments in a mere 10 hours.
With Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, and more heading to Australia soon, we think this comment summed it up: โWell Ed is coming. And Iโm broke. Why theyโre announcing so much good s*** all at once is beyond me.โ
Stay tuned for more details, weโll update you when thereโs more information.
Edโs Australian record label Warner Music have told us they โcanโt comment on any touring rumours at the moment.โ

Because Rebecca Judd isnโt busy enough with her modeling and television career, lifestyle blog and four kids, the 34-year-old has just revealed sheโs writing her first book.
Judd made the announcement on her Instagram account yesterday to her 631,000 followers with an adorable image of her and her twin sons, Darcy and Tom.
โExcited to shoot the cover of my first book today with @allenandunwin,โ she wrote. โCan you guess what itโs about? Stay tuned mummas-to-be and new mums, this oneโs for you.โ
Cue excited squeals from mothers across Australia.
As a mum of four to son Oscar, five, daughter Billie, three, and identical twin sons Darcy and Tom, seven months, Judd is considered a parenting authority.
โBec knows parenting and pregnancy inside and out. Weโre looking forward to sharing Becโs wealth of knowledge with pregnant women and new mums when her book launches,โ says her publisher Allen and Unwin.
There are no details yet on the bookโs title or release date, so weโll be stalking Juddโs Instagram for updates.
Last month Judd opened up about the birth of her twins in October 2016, describing the caesarean as the โworst thingโ sheโs ever done.
Speaking on the KIIS networkโs The 3PM Pick Up; she compared her caesarean to a natural birth and said the former was โfar more horrific.โ
โThe fact that youโre awake in major abdominal surgery is mind boggling and freaky and I remember I was lying there on the operating table and I started having a panic attack,โ she added.

Domestic abuse survivors and mothers could be denied coverage or see their premiums increased under the healthcare plan.
After week-long negotiations, Thursday saw 217 GOP lawmakers back the new healthcare proposal with 20 Republicans and all Democrats voting against.
A victorious President Trump is confident his changes to the US healthcare system will pass through the Senate.
โThis is a great plan. This is a repeal and replace of Obamacare. Make no mistake about it,โ Trump said at a White House appearance before the press.
However, there are concerns the new changes could impact one crucial provision of Obamacare โ 10 Essential Conditions which guarantees all health insurers cover services, including maternity and newborn, mental health, preventative and wellness services and prescription drugs. Removing the provision could allow states and insurers to exclude some of the pricier coverage that Americans might need. Annual exams and preventative tests could no longer be free of charge.
Among those affected are domestic/sexual abuse survivors and mothers who could also be denied coverage or see their premiums increased under the plan, currently, there are no higher fees and denial of services under Obamacare or the ACA (Affordable Care Act).
Under the current law, the ACA also prohibits insurers from โgender rating,โ or charging more for insurance just for being a woman. The number of uninsured women went from 19 per cent to just 8 per cent after it was passed in 2010.
Many took to Twitter to voice their disapproval:
The plan now faces an uphill battle in the Senate with all Democrats firmly opposed to a bill they believe will deprive many Americans of healthcare coverage.

A New Zealand woman wants to be able to use her partnerโs sperm to get pregnant. The catch? Heโs currently serving life in prison for a brutal murder.
In 2011, Karl Nuku was found guilty of the murder of 38-year-old man Dean Browne. He beat Browne to death with a hammer and then drove the body 350km away and dumped it in a garage.
He has a non-parole period of 18 years and is now petitioning for prisoners to be able to make seminal donations, as well as organ and blood donations.
While Corrections Minister Louise Upston says most New Zealanders would agree that people in jail for serious crimes give up the right to become new parents while locked up, a debate has started over whether Nukuโs partner โ who wants to be able to have a child โ should have to suffer for his crime.
The woman, named Charlie, rang Newstalk ZB radio in New Zealand this morning to tell her side of the story. She says she has been told she has a window of two years to have a baby, while Nuku will serve at least another nine and a half years.
โWhy should a family be punished as well? Really, Iโm being punished for loving my husband. Why should I be punished for his mistakes?โ she asked, as reported by the New Zealand Herald.
โWhy should I leave my husband because he ended up going to jail? Iโm not going to leave my husband to have children with somebody else. I want his child, and only his child.โ
Upstonโs stance was that โthe consequences of a prison sentence are a loss of freedom and certain rights,โ however, others, such as Mike Williams, chief executive of the New Zealand Howard League for Penal Reform, say that requests to give sperm to father a child with a partner should be judged by a third party such as the Parole Board.
โThere would be some cases which have merit, I would imagine,โ he said. โOne of the influences, if you like, of reducing reoffending is keeping a family group together. Which is why visiting is a good thing.โ
โClearly someone who has got 18 years for murder, I donโt think that is viable because he is going to have no relationship with his child,โ he finished.
Act Party leader David Seymour slammed the petition on the AM Show today that Nuku โseems to think you can bash someoneโs head in with a hammer, be convicted of murder, go to jail for 18 years, but hey โ thereโs no consequence.โ
As for whether Chalie (who only identified herself by her first name) should have the right to have children with her partner taken away because of his crimes?
Again, the country is divided, with many pointing back to Nukuโs punishment โ or lack thereof if he wins the petition โ being the biggest concern.

The decision came on Wednesday, when legislators in Alabama โ a majority Republican state in which Trump received over 60% of the vote โ made it possible for faith-based adoption groups to refuse placements based on religious beliefs.
โI ultimately signed House Bill 24 because it ensures hundreds of children can continue to find forever homes through religiously-affiliated adoption agencies. This bill is not about discrimination, but instead protects the ability of religious agencies to place vulnerable children in a permanent home,โ Governor Kay Ivey said in a statement.

The bill, which only applies to private agencies and not state or federal funded organisations, attracted majority support in the Alabama legislature.
Advocacy groups, however, have not been so supportive. Eva Kendrick, the state director of the Human Rights Campaign, expressed deep disappointment, describing the bill as โunnecessary [and] discriminatory.โ
Gay adoption is legal across most Australian jurisdictions
โฆand in even worse news, Alabama is not the only American state to enforce such policies โ in fact; South Dakota, North Dakota and Michigan have also passed similar laws.

UPDATE: The woman in Luke Lazarusโ case has broken her silence, days after his acquittal.
Lazarus was originally found guilty of raping the then 18-year-old in an alleyway behind a Sydney nightclub, however, on Thursday the judge ruled that although she believes the sex was non-consensual at the womanโs end, Lazarus believed it was.
Now, after three years of silence, the woman has spoken of her heartbreak in a Facebook post which has already been shared hundreds of times.
She wrote:
โThe reality is this doesnโt get to be over for me. I donโt get to know who I would be today had this not happened to me, and I mourn for that person. She seemed like she was on her way to being great.โ
โAt this point Iโd like to give my heartfelt thanks to everyone whoโs supported me through this shitty part of my life, but especially to a particular detective (who knows who she is) for pouring more time, effort and care into this case than anyone. Nothing has ever made me feel better than admitting I needed help. At first I felt like I needed to be happy and it would all just go away. I didnโt want anyone to worry and got mad if they did (sorry mumโฆand everyone else). When I finally gave myself permission to answer the question โHow are you?โ with anything other than โGood!โ it saved me.โ
She continued:
โAt times like this when Iโm feeling shitty, and down, and so so so tired, I remember that for every dickhead human there are a million more filled with love, light and kindness and that lifts my heavy heart. Anyway, thanks for listening to me. Iโm hoping that putting my thoughts and feelings on paper will help with the long process of moving on.โ
She then ended her post with a poem by Maya Angelou.
โYou may write me down in history With your bitter, twisted lies, You may trod me in the very dirt But still, like dust, Iโll rise.โ
ORIGINAL: 25-year-old Luke Lazarus has now been cleared of the 2013 rape of an 18-year-old girl outside his fatherโs nightclub in Kings Cross.
Lazarus was originally found guilty in 2015 and had served 11 months out of a maximum five-year sentence before this appeal.
Evidence was previously given that he had walked up to the girl on the dancefloor, told her that he was a part-owner in the venue, and had offered to take her to the VIP section of the club to introduce her to the DJ.
Lazarus then took the teenager to the alleyway behind the nightclub, the court heard.
The woman gave evidence that she had wanted to return to her friend and that Lazarus said, โno, stayโ, before they eventually had sex, reports ABC.
โ The Daily Telegraph (@dailytelegraph) April 12, 2016
The court had also heard that Mr Lazarus said in an authoritative tone โput your f***ing hands on the wall, get on the floor and arch your backโ.
โNo doubt she was starting to feel she was in a difficult situation,โ Judge Tupman said of the event.
The womanโs friend told the court she found the complainant crying hysterically afterwards and describing herself as being in pain.
The next afternoon she was taken to the police station by her sister and was forensically examined at the hospital.
However, the Judgeโs final ruling that was while the 18-year-old girl thought in her mind that she hadnโt consented to having sex, Lazarus thought the act was consensual.
People on Twitter are lashing out at the verdict, saying โrape is rapeโ and โSo if I rob the bank but I donโt believe I was robbing it, I can still have the money and get away, right?โ

Pete Evans and his wife, model Nicole Robinson, are vocal proponents of an all-natural, toxin-free lifestyle โ a philosophy thatโs always seemed glaringly at odds with the latterโs cosmetic enhancements.
But far from shying away from the apparent hypocrisy, Robinson has addressed it head-on, telling Channel 7โs Sunday Night that her breast implants are โthe deepest regret of her lifeโ in March this year.

โI wasnโt leading a natural life, which is why I have two toxic silicone implants attached to my chest,โ she said in the interview.
โYou know, I dabbled in fillers, Botox, all sorts of things that were driven by my fearโฆ to try and make myself feel better.โ
Just two months on, Robinson announced on her Instagram account that sheโs having the implants removed this week (itโs possible sheโs now in recovery).
Posting a photo of her pet dog, she captioned the image, โMy human gets her fake bewbies explanted โen blocโ style tomorrow.โ
Pete Evans also posted an emotional message to his wife, saying, โSending all my love to this amazing woman. Canโt wait until we see each other again angel.โ

24-year-old singer Miley Cyrus has revealed *all* โ from rekindling with fiancรฉ Liam Hemsworth, to the reason she always pokes her tongue out in photos.
The latter, her trademark pose, evolved not just as a natural progression from her Hannah Montana days, but as a way of showing who she really was on the red carpet.
โI was so ยญembarrassed to be on the red carpet,โ she said in an exclusive interview with Billboard magazine.
โSo many of those fucking disgusting ยญphotographers would tell me to blow a kiss, and thatโs not me! I donโt want to blow you a kiss. I didnโt know what to do with my face, so I stuck my tongue out, and it became a rebellious, punk-rock thing.โ

So there you have it โ the infamous pose, which was quickly attributed to Mileyโs Disney-turned-bad-girl phase โ was really much more than that. On the whole red carpet issue, Miley revealed that she was no longer interested in keeping up appearances: โI donโt do red carpets, and I just donโt put myself in positions where I feel uncomfortable anymore,โ she said. I donโt have to.โ

As for her relationship with Liam, Miley explained: โI needed to change so much. And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard. Suddenly youโre like, โI donโt recognise you anymore.โ We had to refall for each other.โ
Mileyโs sixth studio album is scheduled for release May 11. The first song, โMalibuโ, is rumoured to be a love ballad dedicated to fiancรฉ, Liam.

Anna radiates warmth wherever she goes. As she arrived at our cover shoot you couldnโt wipe the smile off her face and everyone around her. The bubbly star sat down with us and chatted all things from body confidence, family and chocolate โ the perfect combo.
โThere have been times in my life when I havenโt felt confident, times when Iโve been like, โI donโt like that part of my body.โ But Iโm turning 30 in December [2016] and Iโm probably more confident than ever. Every year that I get older I become more confident, I love myself more, I love my body more, and I just hope that everyone can kind of get to that stage.โ
โEvery year that I grow older I become more in tune with who I am and I love my body more and more.โ
Anna and her partner Tim follow the 7-2-1 eating method. โSo basically, 70 per cent of the time I eat very clean โ a lot of vegetables, salad, our dinnerโs mainly a piece of meat or salmon with vegies or salad. Twenty per cent is kind of moderately healthy โ sensible โ and 10 per cent is [more indulgent], like chocolate.โ
We are all about body confidence at Womenโs Health and want you to hear how you are body confident by filling out the biggest ever global naked survey!

The Twilight actress announced the exciting news with an adorable post on Instagram an hour ago, saying, โHi Little One. I know you, but only because I feel you. How is it possible to love someone so much already?โ
โAll I know for sure is itโs the strongest feeling Iโve ever felt. Weโve been sharing this body for quite some time, and weโve already experienced so much together. We canโt wait to meet youโฆโ
Her Vampire Diaries partner also shared his excitement, posting the same photo a few minutes later with the caption, โTo our friends, family, and rest of the world. In my 38 years on this earth Iโve never experienced anything more powerful and beautiful than this,โ he wrote.
โI canโt think of anything more exciting than this next chapter and we wanted you to hear this from us first. This has been the most special time of our lives and we wanted to keep it between the three of us for as long as possible so we could enjoy this time with each other and our little one who is growing so fastโฆbecause thatโs what they do, they grow so fast. Thank you for your kind energy.โ

In the days leading up to her arrest Cassandra Sainsburyโs behaviour was out of the ordinary, says the manager of the Bogota hotel where the 22-year-old spent her final nights of freedom.
Upon attempting to fly back to Australia via London, Cassandra was found with 5.8kgs of cocaine in her suitcase, which she is saying was planted there without her knowledge.
However, Ingrid Hernandez says the former personal trainer from Adelaide drew attention from hotel staff with her strange behaviour.
7 News
โI thought it was strange that she didnโt go out like most visitors do,โ she told 9News.
โShe stayed with us from the 3rd to the 12th of April, oddly she told me she might not spend all of those nights in the hotel, and then she did.โ
โShe was alone most of the time in her room. I remember once she went and brought McDonalds back to eat,โ Hernandez told The Daily Telegraph. She also noted that Cassandra arrived without a reservation and paid for her accommodation two days at a time.
Ms Hernandez says Cassandraโs only visitor at the hotel was a โwell-dressed Colombian manโ, who is thought to be the person accused of tricking Cassie into packing drugs into her suitcase.
โNormal height, normal build. He could have been in his late 20s, 30s. He had short brown gelled hair,โ she said.

In the best news weโve heard all week: HBO has confirmed that Game of Thrones writers are working on not just one, but multiple, spinoff shows.
The network announced this morning that four GoT writers are currently starting separate projects, including Max Borenstein (Kong: Skull Island), Jane Goldman (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Brian Helgeland (Legend), and Carly Wray (Mad Men, The Leftovers).
Both Goldman and Wray will be working directly alongside GoT creator, George R. R. Martin. AKA, these shows are bound to be especially good.
As for release dates, HBO says, โWeโll take as much or as little time as the writers need and, as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in.โ
Of course, weโll keep you well informed as things develop.
